Amazing Confession From A High-School Teacher

"Until recently I taught at a predominantly black high school in a southeastern state. The mainstream press gives a hint of what conditions are like in black schools, but only a hint."

I became mesmerized half way through.

Money Is Not What Schools Need

"I don't do no teacher evaluations. All I do is go into a class, and if the kids ain't working, your ass is fired. (Most principals) sit for hours and say, 'Is he meeting this goal, is he meeting' — I just go to class, and if the kids are not working ..."

Individual Secession By A Texan Living Abroad

"Some years ago I listened with keen interest to a speech by a professor from Alabama speaking about how Americans had tried “State Secession” twice. It had worked once and it had failed once. While we all look forward to the time that we might go for “the best of three”, there remain some things that one can do as an individual. They fall in the category of Individual Secession. Individual Secession comes in many flavours and the applications are as diverse as the people who implement it"

Children's Legacy Committee - Our Future

Cassie Rentz (chair), Gabby Simons, & Huston Creel whom attended the Sam Davis Youth Camp last July were interviewed yesterday by a cable television show in Jackson County.

It was truly inspiring to listen to them and what they had taken to heart about camp as they interacted with the host, Mr. Royce Ragan. They spoke about the Sam Davis Youth Camp and their experience there. They also went into detail about what they learned and what they enjoyed most about camp. The children expressed how they enjoyed the dances they had learned.

They also told Mr. Ragan about the 1860’s dance lessons that they had conducted that past Saturday in Marianna, FL. In preparation of the upcoming Military Ball that will be held for Marianna Days, the Children's Legacy Committee conducted an 1860’s dance lesson for the citizens of Jackson County which was a huge success.

These young ladies and gentlemen are our future and we need to continue to support and encourage them. What a wonderful job they are doing in our community!

The United States is in the midst of a massive spending crisis. In the first 500 days of the current Administration, our national debt increased $2.2 trillion. We are adding a whopping $4.4 billion per day. And the federal government continues to spend at a rate of $112,000 per SECOND!

This rate of spending is irresponsible and unsustainable. It limits our economic growth and our ability to create new jobs. If we allow our elected officials to continue their spend-first, pay-later habits, we will face higher taxes, a higher cost of living, and a stagnant economy. And our children may never know the American dream.

The Spending Revolt coalition seeks to permanently transform government spending through individual activism. Families across the country have been forced to make tough economic decisions. It is time our elected officials did the same.

Save the date and join us for the Spending Revolt at one of the locations below, spanning a 4-day period.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) announced that he will offer the DREAM Act amnesty bill (S.729) as an amendment to the Department of Defense Authorization Bill. Action on this bill is expected as early as next week!

Here is a link to a news video where Kay Hagan states publicly that she opposes the DREAM ACT. This video was made at the Kernersville Public Library by WGHP reporter Bob Buckley:

Lets call Senator Hagan and remind her of the video and her public stand AGAINST the DREAM ACT. Tell her we expect her to vote NO on S.729.

Key points to stress:

No. 1: The rhetoric for DREAM ACT is false and misleading. This amnesty is NOT limited to high school valedictorians and other high-achieving college students who were brought to the U.S. illegally when they were toddlers.

The amnesty includes illegal aliens up to age 35!

And their arrival can be as late as age 15!

The bill is a giant fraud loophole. People can claim the amnesty without providing proof of meeting criteria.

Even the supporters of the DREAM ACT amnesty admit that around 2.1 million people could qualify.

No. 2: DREAM ACT does nothing to stop the behavior that put teenagers into their situation. It leaves the jobs magnet in place.

This amnesty has no enforcement measures at all. It allows employers to continue to hire illegal aliens, enticing millions more parents to bring their children here illegally and stay long enough for them to become high school students and demand another amnesty in a few years.

No. 3: DREAM ACT leaves intact the chain migration system that will allow these 2.1 million illegal aliens to eventually send for millions more relatives.

Rather quickly, the amnestied illegal aliens would be able to get green cards for their parents. And millions of additional relatives would be able to start planning their applications and getting in line. This starts with adult siblings and moves on to aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.

A large percentage of the illegal aliens in the U.S. today are extended family members of the illegal aliens who got amnesty in 1986 and also those in the six more-limited amnesties in the 1990s.
