All elected officials of the Republic are creatures of it and a creature cannot become bigger than a creator, and whenever an elected official undertakes to set up as superior to the Republic or to the citizens, whose servant he is, his usefulness as an elected official ceases.

Thought it worthy of atleast a play on words.

    Thanks!!

  3. Here in the Lone Star State, the Rangers are a time honored tradition. They've been a lot of different things in the last century and a quarter. At first, ranging was a verb. They were roving lawmen, non-roving lawmen, militia, and Indian fighters. Eventually, the men who did the ranging became known as Rangers. Elmer Kelton wrote several novels about them. They're worth the read. Now they're the best of the best of our DPS. Instead of keeping the Comanche and such at bay, they're working to keep the Narcotraficantes on their side of the river.
