Violence in Syria

SHTF School
Verbatim Post

Surviving one year in a city surrounded by the enemy army and cut off from the rest of the world. I'm Selco and have been through this SHTF school I never wanted to attend during the Balkan wars 1992 - 1995. I write about this here.

Those scenes feel strangely familiar.

This short documentary shows many aspects. People queuing up for the few food that is left, makeshift hospital that does not work well and the human tragedy that comes with all this.

Often street fighting was very similar. Spray and pray. What you see after 2 minutes are civilians with guns. Not aware of risks and without much of a strategy. We have been like that in beginning too. After some time you figure out what to do and what not. What people there do is so dangerous because they underestimate angle of fire from attackers. Enemies have to get out of cover just a little bit to shoot people, while they have to move several meters to get back to some sort of cover. Crazy risk indeed.

You also see crowd dynamic. Who believes those people will ever give up fight? Nobody. They will win or die.

I hope someone ends this situation over there. I prepare for situation like this and when you watch this, this should be reminder that things like that can happen to you too, not just in far away country. People really wanting to kill each other looks same worldwide.

Here is another video from other side of things. Filmed by Syrian Army snipers.

  1. If the idiots in the second vid are "syrian army snipers" then... well... They're displaying the same "inshallah school of Marksmanshi+" that USUALLY accompanies the cries of "all to the snack-bar."

Then there *IS* one guy who seems to know what he's doing - you'll note he had to demonstrate for the kid with the machine-gun, among others...

I'd be more inclined to believe this was some guys who managed to find/raid uniforms and body-armor...

  2. BTW - isn't there ONE fricking Jawa SOMEWHERE on the planet who can wield a video-camera without looking like he's a crack-addicted spastic alcoholic monkey going through withdrawals and DTs and being tasered while having a seizure?

  4. Just caught a news-item about this... They're fighting for "democracy" dontcha-know...

    Yeah...

Thus all the cries of "all-up-to-the-SNACK-BAAARRR!!"??

Seriously - read some of the comments on the linked YT vids. Use translate.google.com though you'll probably have to pick "arabic" manually else it will say the page is already in english...

Every one of them says "screw democracy - we're fighting for SHARIA" - some even DARING "western NGOs and other kuffar" to try to implement democracy, making it plain they'll kill them too...

On the bright side, now that the Taliban-equivalent is taking over the entire middle-east, we won't need to worry about oil here any more since Dear Reader approved the canadian pipeline deal and has encouraged us to drill-baby-drill, right?

    Wait, what?

    Oh, ***SH!+***!!!
