"Gotta love a guy who's idea of PSYOPS is to bury the enemy along a trail with one arm sticking up holding a leaflet that says Surrender or Die!"

I replied to the above with "It sure beats trail cards!:)" This guy was hard core to the max. When you have the time, please read the two SOF articles.

"There was a wound 18 inches in my right leg and six inches of artery had been torn out" he said "I said to myself, Well captain, this is the fifth time you've been wounded and now you've had it." "You’re going to die."

  1. That's good stuff Brock.

Love the insight and compassion you and others offer the Men in uniform of that time, it was a time of discontent.

My old Man served in WW II, Korea and Vietnam by way of the Navy, Air Force and Army. Balls of steel baby, balls of steel.

He was dead 8 years hence 68 I was barely a teen, thank you folks for not letting the legacy be forgotten.

    I mean it, thank you!!

  3. Continuing to read and search about this most remarkable man and found that Wikipedia doesn't have anything on him. A Travesty. I'm far from knowledgeable, so maybe someone else could start a page for him.

  4. You are welcome,

Not a lot of info other than some pic's of him in Vietnam (Lai Khe) various paper work, about 30 medals the stand out's being: Bronze Star w/2 clusters & a Purple Heart.

Wish I had more to validate his honor and sacrifice, but time and circumstance as you well know, offers very few windows into the past.

    Thanks Brock!!

  8. Very nice post Brock. Thanks.

Thank you! That thread at III is sad. I've always gotten along well with Peter and Justin and think this bickering is ridiculous.

    1. The bickering is counterproductive.

Sometimes short comings need to be shown, but in that same breath criticism needs to be able accepted.

I get along with everyone. I don't see eye to eye with all the beliefs of everyone and I know everyone is the same with me. I accept that.

If someone leaves a comment that differs with mine, so be it. That's their right.

People need to accept that and go on.

Is that showing shortcomings, or accepting criticism?

      Please tell, Rich T.

That's MY NECK you're talking about there, buddy.

Glad to see you crawling out from under your rock.

Ain't no one here feeling special, just remembering those that gave so that you can spew your bullshit.
