Obama’s Shocking Anti-Christian Record

Mike Scruggs

The May 8 Primary and Referendum proved disastrous for the cause of homosexual marriage in North Carolina. It was a decisive victory for Judeo-Christian and other traditionalist wisdom on marriage. North Carolinians voted 61 percent to 39 percent to pass a Constitutional Amendment firmly establishing its existing laws and traditions that marriage is exclusively defined as the union of one man and one woman. This victory was despite a deceptive and often-bitter campaign by those who wanted to see the moral roots of marriage pulled up and discarded.

President Barack Obama’s announcement the day after the North Carolina Primary that his ideas on homosexual marriage have now evolved to favoring such marriages should not have astonished anyone. Although he had previously taken a quiet political position against same-sex marriages, his actions of the last four years indicate that he has always strongly favored it. Homosexuals have always been a significant part of his financial and voting base. However, open political advocacy of homosexual marriage was seen as a risky political position even for a Democrat presidential candidate. While his words avoided the issue, his actions loudly proclaimed that he was a strong advocate for same-sex marriage rights. In July of 2009, having been in office only five months, the Obama administration illegally extended federal benefits to same-sex partners employed in the Foreign Service and Executive Branch. This was a direct violation of the federal Defense of Marriage Act. In February 2011 the President directed the Justice Department to stop defending the federal Defense of Marriage Act. Thus began an Obama administration precedent of ignoring federal law and the Constitution and defying or usurping the authority of Congress.

In July 2011, Obama rammed legislation through Congress to allow homosexuals to serve openly in the military, reversing a military policy established by George Washington in 1778. In so doing, he ignored a strongly worded 2009 letter signed by over a thousand retired generals and admirals warning that “homosexuality is incompatible with military service.” Although he promised a study of its advisability before implementing such a radical course, all the evidence warning of its most likely disastrous consequences on military morale and discipline, recruiting and retention of personnel, and military preparedness and effectiveness were brushed aside. The only study done was on how to implement the President’s policy. The consequences of this

ill-considered social engineering could seriously jeopardize national security. In September 2011, he directed that the Pentagon allow homosexual marriage by military chaplains. Thus he committed another open violation of the federal Defense of Marriage Act.

President Obama’s social agenda goes much further than simply being for same-sex marriage. Many of his actions are directed against all Biblical teachings on morality. He is consistently anti-Christian in this regard, or more precisely anti-Judeo-Christian. Many of his actions are also anti-Israel.

On February 27, 2009, Obama announced plans to revoke protection of religious conscience for health workers who refuse to participate in abortions and other medical procedures contrary to their religious beliefs. On April 17, he ordered that a monogram symbolizing Jesus’ name be covered while making a speech. In May, he declined to host the National Day of Prayer, a White House tradition. Yet he hosts White House dinners honoring the Muslim Ramadan holidays. Since October 2010, he has deliberately omitted words about “the Creator” while quoting the Declaration of Independence no less than seven times. He also refers to “E Pluribus Unum” rather than the Congressionally approved “In God We Trust” as the national motto. The Obama administration is now arguing that the First Amendment offers no protection to churches and other religious organizations to hire pastors and rabbis of their own faith.

On June 29, 2011, by Obama’s order, the Department of Veterans Affairs prohibited references to God and Jesus during burial ceremonies. Air Force commanders may no longer notify personnel of programs available to them by their chaplains. In September 2011, the Army’s Walter Reed Medical Center started implementing a policy that Bibles and other religious reading materials could not “be given away or used during a visit.”

The Air Force Academy is now constructing a worship center for pagans, druids, and witches. The U.S. Military Academy at West Point was forced to disinvite retired Army Lt. Gen. Jerry Boykin because he is an outspoken Christian.

In August 2010, Obama strongly advocated building an Islamic mosque at Ground Zero in New York City. Meanwhile, such terms as jihad, jihadists, terrorists, and radical Islam are being removed from all government documents.

Effective in January 2013, the Obama administration has ruled that faith-based hospitals, charities, and schools must include birth control services in health insurance plans. This is both economic and religious tyranny.

Many other Obama policies and actions, too numerous to list here, openly threaten religious freedom and the Judeo-Christian and Constitutional moorings of our country.

Is Obama a Muslim? I don’t think so, although he clearly favors Islam over any Biblical form of Christianity or Judaism. Homosexuality merits the death penalty in Islamic Law. However, Obama is clearly:

Anti-Christian, That is, he rejects Biblical beliefs and morality.

Anti-Jewish, by the same standard above.

Anti-Israel, favoring Muslim demands over the safety and survival of Israel.

Pro-homosexual, favoring homosexual rights over Judeo-Christian and other traditional values.

Pro-Islam, although Sharia Law contradicts his view of homosexuality.

Not concerned with the Constitution. He violates it and other U.S. laws at will.

Not concerned with the truth. His words are focused on manipulation and image. He is highly fluent verbally but not gifted in logic or analysis. He generally conveys emotional anecdotes rather than factual data and reasoned conclusions and substitutes image for substance.
