Throw Out Obamacare with Obama

It should be obvious to most thinking Americans that we have a lawless President. He cares no more for the Constitution, justice, or truth than a cigarette butt. He governs by unprincipled political expediency. He is by far the most dangerous radical ever to occupy the White House, and if we do not throw him out of the White House in November, freedom will have seen its last hours by 2016. The long and stealthy march of cultural Marxism will have triumphed in political despotism. The American dream will be a totalitarian nightmare.

Now the American people have learned to their alarm that the Supreme Court of the United States has a lawless majority again. We had been hoping for better until Chief Justice Roberts began to show his colors on the Arizona immigration case and now Obamacare.

By any reasonable analytical standard, Obamacare is clearly unconstitutional. The U.S. Constitution limits the power of the federal government over the States and the people. It was meant by the founders to protect the States and the people from potential federal tyranny. The Constitution limits the federal government only to those powers delegated to it in Article I Section 8. Among the listed delegated powers are such things as common defense, borrowing money, and establishing post offices. Federalizing or establishing a federal healthcare system is not one of them. Nor is there any directive there to federalize education.

Article I Section 8 strongly implies that any power not delegated to the federal government by its paragraphs are prohibited to it. But the Ninth and Tenth Amendments state this prohibition unequivocally.

Amendment IX

The enumeration in the Constitution of certain rights shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

Amendment X

The powers not delegated to the United States, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

The Tenth Amendment really nails it. Healthcare, especially in the coercive form of Obamacare, is not a function delegated to the federal government. It belongs to the States or the people. Thomas Jefferson, author of the Declaration of Independence, cited the Tenth Amendment as the most important provision in the Constitution.

Furthermore, Obamacare is 2,700 pages of coercive mandates that take away the rights of the people. Moreover, it is extraordinarily devious and deceptive. It is filled with totalitarian mandates and federal government coercion on many subjects—deliberately buried in its tedious 2,700 pages to hide outrageous purposes and tyrannies. Few of its proponents in Congress have even read it.

The writers of the Constitution and those State delegates to the Convention who approved its final form did not have any intent whatsoever to construe the words “general Welfare” as allowing the federal government to delegate powers to itself to accomplish anything it pleased. That would open a very wide door to abuse and tyranny. But turning our backs to continuous use of the “general Welfare” for political expedience has increased federal power to enormous degrees at the expense of freedoms that belonged to the States and the people. Now we are at the door of sweeping federal oppression.

As Jefferson said, “Experience has shown that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in turn, and by slow operations, perverted it to tyranny.”

The words “general Welfare” restricted the federal government from passing legislation that favored narrow regional or institutional sectors at the expense of others. Legislative power was not to be used for sectionalist or partisan interests. Constitutional legislation must benefit the general interest for the welfare of all.

When any branch of federal government usurps or delegates powers to itself, it is tyranny over the States and the people. More often than not in our history, it has been activist judges that have eroded our rights to accomplish their own social agenda. When the courts are implementing their own agenda, you can be sure that government by, of, and for the people is being crushed. .

The majority of the Supreme Court has now erred so badly that the people have little recourse to unjust federal taxes or any other coercive whim of government. Besides its arrogant regulation of our lives, Obamacare will be a huge economic burden on the economy, the taxpayers, and American families.

However, we must put the unfortunate judicial philosophy underlying the Court’s Obamacare decision aside for a few months. Our only recourse now is the political revolution Jefferson thought necessary in every generation. We can still scuttle Obamacare by defeating Obama in the November election. We must also strengthen conservative numbers in Congress, especially the Senate.

Mitt Romney was quick to point out that the Court did not say that Obamacare is good law or good policy:

“Obamacare was bad policy yesterday. It’s bad policy today. Obamacare is bad law yesterday. It’s bad law today….Obamacare raises taxes on the American people by approximately $500 billion. Obamacare cuts Medicare by approximately $500 billion. And even with those cuts and tax increases, Obamacare adds trillions to our deficits and to our national debt and pushes those obligations on to coming generations…”

Romney further pointed out that Obamacare is a job killer. A Chamber of Commerce survey indicated that 75 percent of businesses say Obamacare makes it less likely for them to hire people. Up to 20 million Americans will lose good healthcare plans and get something less. Obamacare puts the federal government between you and your doctor. Romney has made repealing Obamacare an absolute priority.

Defeating Obama in November is crucial for liberty and national survival.

  1. Please do remember that Ontario has a very big population and is the largest of the Canadian Provinces. Each Province has it's own Health Care criteria Paid partially by the Federal Government ...the other part by the Provinces citizens. Ontario has a Liberal Gov't. The Premier of the Province ( McGuinty) has been running that Province into the ground. In 2009 Ontario started asking other Provinces to send them welfare!.....Not all Canadian Provinces have long waiting lists for treatments. My hubby just had an operation on his heart performed in Calgary Alberta...he went into the ER with chest pains...was admitted on a Wednesday evening...on Friday morning they moved him to a hospital to have this operation done...he was home on Saturday.

    Obamacare works on a point system...Canada's health care does not...the two are not the same. Everyone regardless of race, color, sexuality, age, gender are equal. One just must have the Healthcare insurance carried by the Province they live in. BTW...Alberta has no Healthcare fees...it's available to all Albertans.

    1. Great Post! I know many people look to Canada on many issues.
      Here in the U.S., my own doctor had to close up shop. My brother-in-law is a doctor and moved to Brazil because he saw the writing-on-the wall. In the first few months before he made that decision, he had already seen the negative impact.

    2. Thank you...I know that lots of people are looking towards Canada now. The part that always gets me choked though is that they don't have enough of the picture to be thinking one way or another or to make an informed opinion on what Canada is actually doing.
      I don't know how many times now I have had to explain someone's misinformed opinion. It's actually gotten me kicked off a site due to my trying to explain the facts to a person who had made up their mind. I guess I confused them some...being from Canada and all. LOL!
      I just heard recently that the Premier ( Governor) of Ontario...McGuinty...is wanting to bring in Obamacare to the Province. Doctor's would have to go through a screening board to get tests for their patients! The Doctors are leaving Ontario in hoards!

  3. You're welcome! I'm not saying that Canadian Health Care is 100% ...we do have some problems to fix. Most of the problem though is that we just don't have enough Doctors in Canada. Waiting times will be longer cuz of this.
    I sure hope ya ya'll get your health care so that it works for everyone. Unfortunately Obamacare was and is not the answer. IMHO...best to scrap it all and start over again...this time using plain ole common sense.
    Last I had heard Romney wasn't going to do that...he was just going to substitute other things....have you heard what those things might be?

  4. Romney sure isn't the answer, so we've got big, big problems unfortunately. He's just in campaign mode with his wet finger in the wind. The majority of Americans are satisfied with their insurance companies.

    1. I would agree with you there! He is not the answer. Good thing is that he can still be ousted from his high horse! the Convention has not happened yet and from what I've been reading, there is a darn good chance that it will be a brokered or open convention. Usually the supposed Nominee never makes it to the being the nominated!

  6. I was born in NC at Gaston Memorial Gastonia NC and are from the Kings Mountain are, of the McBee's, Dedmon's, Hardin's, Ellery's so I have a great deal of respect for my State and States man/woman and have lived in SC since 72.

    I have had the wonderful honor of traveling all over the world and US and can tell you now that, though many do have socialize care, and though the cost can be astronomical to the host country, it does not mean that it practices bad medicine...

    I had really great experiences with the EU/UK Hospitals, I also have had many friends from France, Sicily, Italy, Scotland, Ireland and 7 who were Canadians that I met while in Washington State and in Italy, several more from my many web sites and all of these people were professionals, middle and upper classes who have been blessed with a lot of common sense and an unmatched unbiased approach in all of their lives experiences who tell me a different story than what you portray here in your graphs and post.

    Now I don't want anybody nor Government involved in my health care issues and want them to stay the hell out of my life all together, but my friends in these different country's that are used aas a bad model of Government controlled health insurances have all said they have gotten in and out of hospitals and continued checkups afterwards that were of the best as expected care that one could ask of...

    Just recently a friend of mines husband went into emergency care and received a stint, and everything else that he could have been offerd in three days after complaining of chest problems, he had a heart attack the said a week prior and is believed to had been ser off from a car accident...

    Now we are reasonable people, especially being Conservatives, it is true that even our own party is guilty of searching out and finding the worse cases scenarios that can be found to cast a negative light on an already negative installation threatening our private lives as intrusive governance and forcing a healthcare law down our throats that we do not want any part of...

    But the truth of the matter is, that many country's are doing just fine with their healthcare and my friends whose husband got complete care and after care just several hours of going into the ER and who received complete and comprehensive care afterwards got better care than my mother and father have received and they are Americans.

    Five years my Momma suffered because of the recklessness of Doctors, not just one mind you, but 6 of them trying to protect each others asses. My Poppa went for 6 years of fighting for his care and there are millions just like them and guess what folks, they are in America...

    It's easy to bash another country's practices and if you have never been there you buy into it...But I happen to know as a fact that your graph is faulty and if you looked around and asked Americans and followed some of the atrocities committed by hospitals here and their Doctors, then you might be more careful in posting reports that are entirely not so true after all...

    Romney is a damn foolish and careless threat to us. Don't buy into his lies, he is part of the great lie and is dangerous...
