USA medalist Leo Manzano waves Mexican flag after silver win; Americans angry

Leo Manzano

Leo Manzano won the Men's 1500 meter race on Tuesday bringing home the silver for the United States, but what happened next has fans furious at the Olympian. As most athletes do in track, the winners wrap themselves in the colors of their countries, which is exactly what Leo Manzano did with the United States flag. Then he picked up the Mexican flag and waved it to the crowd.

The opportunity to show off both flags has enraged the fans of Team USA. Supporting the athlete from the beginning to the podium, many fans feel they have been betrayed by Manzano’s decision to hoist a flag from another country (who he technically wasn’t representing.) The issue has become heated and even the win has people refusing to Leo Manzano’s contribution to the United States team.

  1. I'll not support any olympic team so long as he's still on it - and I plan to make this clear to TPTB in the US Olympic bureaucracy.

Next time he can run for meh-hee-co.

  3. When You guys get off your asses and go win a Silver medal in the Olympics, you can wave whatever flag you feel like. Chill out and stop being so nationalistic.

  4. We'll do what we like. Go back and worry about trash pilfering in your neighborhood while the country disintegrates.

  5. You're much more polite than I would be, Brock.

Apparently the jagoff doesn't grasp that We The People pay for this turd to live and train, paid to send him to London and on and on while meh-hee-co gave him nothing.

Let him try that in North Korea and see how it goes over.

And yeah - lest the moron return - I realize we're not North Korea, which is why I'm advocating removing him from the team rather than shooting him in the back of his head and selling his organs to the highest bidder.
