Confiscation could be an option. Mandatory sale to the state could be an option. Permitting could be an option........

  1. Cuomo says “There is a balance here — I understand the rights of gun owners; I understand the rights of hunters.”

The Constitution says "...the right of the people to keep and bear arms SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED"

Webster says "def 1: to encroach upon in a way that violates law or the rights of another"

I believe that the Original Intent of the Founders was to keep government out of the lives of the people as much as possible. Therefore, I believe that registration of firearms with the government would violate the right to privacy guaranteed by the Fourth. Any form of firearms registration is unconstitutional.

  5. I heard from a friend this morning that some of the "experts" think that something similar to "eminent domain" could be used by the government to mandate that all firearms be turned in and payment made by the government for said firearms. (Looking for a link)

Wrong on so many levels. It would be "confiscation" in other clothing, but confiscation none-the-less. Any attempt to take firearms from citizens is going to have a very high cost in blood and lives. There are some folks who will simply refuse to turn over their guns and will defend their constitutional right to keep them to the death.

I would love to see a legitimate proposal put forth to try to force gun owners to trade their firearms for government money at fair market value. Can you imagine the Liberals reaction to their tax dollars being spent to pay for the confiscation firearms from lawful gun owners at fair market value? I suspect that they would feel the same way about their money being used by the government to "buy" guns from private citizens as I feel about my money being used to fund abortions and to pay welfare to worthless fucks who are unwilling to work because they have it too good on the government dole.

I will continue looking for a link.

  6. Well said. There was a gun buy back that was proposed and it was going to offer $1,500 per item. It never went through, but I would have turned in all of mine and then bought two to three times as many with my profits.:)

  7. Sales would be brisk I'm sure! At $1500 bucks a pop, the Mexicans would be selling theirs to fedgov as well..... (hey gringo, want yer' guns back)?
