Seems as though they'll be no getting around a trip to a top-notch gunsmith for me after my attempt at trying a cheaper alternative. Fortunately I was able to return the low end quality scope kit and will now use those funds to purchase a quality kit, and head over to the smith's shop for the getting the job done right!
I might just get this setup since it's all in one packages and I've bought a brake and other stuff from them before. I don't want a forward mount since I would then lose the back iron sight.
