Our Affliction

Via safetalker

The main affliction that America has today is that we have had 200 years of being convinced that we are totally unable to make it on our individual, singular person, by our self, own merits and abilities!

If you ever walked up to one of the men who fought under Washington and called him a US CITIZEN you would probably have left leave in a gunny sack. That man would have been a Virginian, North Carolinian, Texan, etc and damm proud of it. It took a well orchestrated, well written lawyer talking piece of paper to transmute a proud American from North Carolina into a US CITIZEN so he could be subjugated and made to enjoy it.

If we are to succeed int the days to come we all have to give Lincoln back his US CITIZEN and put on our Texan colours with the pride of our forefathers. To wear that Alabama Red shirt in pride on our black land farms where the word Monsanto is a curse word not a brand.

I served this nation for 27 years as a soldier. I am a North Carolinian, not a US CITIZEN if you please.

North Carolina is a piece of land that shares a border with South Carolina, Virginia, and Tennessee. The other end is Atlantic Ocean. I have never seen a place called the US where I would hang my hat let alone allow my family to live.

We are kept slaves, and when prodded we stand up and sing for our supper till the check arrives. Then we take off a few days to be patriots. It is not our choice it is our lot.

When we awaken to that and start getting together to plan our freedom instead of our capture, we will become free overnight.

When we begin to see ourselves as free men and women instead of citizens, we will be free again like our fore fathers intended.

No Apologies Needed, Mitt

Via III Percent Patriots

Mitt Romney has conceded that his thoughts, expressed at that Boca Raton, Fla., fundraiser, were "not elegantly" stated. Those mocking him might concede he has tabled one of the mega-issues of our time.

Can America continue down the path President Obama is taking us on, to a time soon and certain when a majority of wage-earners pay no income taxes but a majority of citizens receive federal benefits?

"There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what," said Mitt, "the 47 percent who ... are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. ... These are people who pay no income tax ... ."
What was wrong with this?

One slice of that 47 percent who receive benefits are students who will pay taxes later. A larger slice are retirees on Social Security and Medicare who paid into both programs all their working lives.
But what was right about what Romney said was discerned two centuries ago by that governmental genius John C. Calhoun.

"The necessary result ... of the unequal fiscal action of the government is to divide the community into two great classes; one consisting of those who ... pay the taxes ... and bear exclusively the burden of supporting the government; and the other, of those who are the recipients of their proceeds, through disbursements, and who are, in fact, supported by the government; or, in fewer words, to divide it into taxpayers and tax consumers."

A nation sundered between taxpayers and tax consumers, said Calhoun, "must give rise to two parties and to violent conflicts and struggles between them, to obtain the control of the government."
Is that not a fair description of where we are today?

Sen. Gene McCarthy used to say every citizen has three duties: to bear arms in defense of his country, to vote and to pay taxes. Is it a good thing that this ideal is laughed at, that the draft is abolished, that scores of millions pay nothing in income taxes?

Retired Americans living on Social Security, exempt from taxes because their income is modest, are not the problem.

But in 2010, some 4.4 million Americans were on welfare rolls, 22 million on government payrolls, 23 million were receiving Earned Income Tax Credit checks, 44 million were on food stamps, 50 million were on Medicaid, and 70 million wage-earners were paying no income taxes.

Tom "Robbie" Walters: The REVENGE of a Senseless Beating, This photo of a Young 3rd North Carolina Trooper, who fell from his horse in an ambush, and captured by the enemy was beaten to death with their Gun Butts.

The "Waterbury Scouts" of Company H or Humphrey Troop of the 3rd North Carolina, numbering 15 good men, saw the mutilated body of young Walters (Waters) and Took Revenge on the Retreating Yanks to Petersburg. An extract of the 1st North Carolina Records, from Raleigh, North Carolina - mention of this account.
REVENGE: (Apple Jack Raid - Warren's Attack on Weldon Railroad, Dec 10-12th, 1864:

"As it was, our Division of Cavalry pressed them very hard, all that afternoon and the next day, harassing them to the utmost, frequently throwing a ambuscade one which made us a little more wary after that.

That night after dark when the enemy halted for a rest, Captain Hardy of the 3rd North Carolina Cavalry, was ordered to charge with his company. They had left the road unobstructed, but concealed a force in the pine thickets, on both side of the road and met Captain Hardy's charge with a withering volley. Captain Hardy with admirable presence of mind kept going and realized that their lines could not extend far from the road, quickly doubled back and passing around their left flank, and was back with the Regiment in less than half an hour.

(Note: about a dozen members of the 3rd North Carolina were emptied from their saddles. My ancestor participated in this charge, and was part of the Co K that was ambushed in Capt. Hardy's [Harding]. If the Cold December weather had not caused so many guns not to fire, I might not be here.)

Tom Water (Walter), one of his best men, if there was any best, where all were so good, was seen to fall from his horse at the enemy's fire. That ended all pursuit for the night. We were in the saddle againg next morning as soon as it was light and soon upon poor Tom Waters's remains, lying in the the road. Although he fell from his horse, mortally wounded, they had beaten his poor head beyond all semblance to humanity with the butts of their muskets. I saw it myself. We avenged him well, that day.

General Barringer kept a corps of scouts, fifteen men commanded by Sergeant Waterbury, 16 in all, operating inside of Grant's lines, who frequently sent in valuable information. They wore their Confederate Uniforms to protect themselves against the fate of spies in case of capture. A short time before the Belfield raid, one of their number fell in the hands of the enemy and it was reported that they had killed him after he surrendered. His fifteen surviving comrades mutually swore an oath of vengeance and this was their first opportunity. The enemy in their advance upon Belfield made heavy force marches.

It was a foot race between them and our cavalry, which would get there first, in which our horses won by a margin of less than an hour. They commenced their retreat, already worn down with fatigue and we gave them scant opportunities for rest. We were pressing against their Infantry through out the entire pursuit. Many of them fell down by the roadside, collapsed from fatigue. Our scouts marched in advance of the vanguard and under their oath of vengence, spared not one of them. One of the scouts told me afterwards, that the 15 of them killed 229 during the last day of pursuit.

MITT ROMNEY: It's Time To Audit The Fed

Via hefferman1

ron paul happy

Presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney called for increased transparency at the Federal Reserve Monday, voicing his strongest support yet for an audit of the country's central banking system.

"The answer is yes to that, very plain and simple," Romney responded, when asked by a supporter at a New Hampshire town hall whether it was time to audit the Fed. "The Federal Reserve should be accountable. We should see what they're doing."

The mark aligns Romney with a growing cadre of conservatives championing an audit of the Federal Reserve, a group led by Romney's primary opponent Ron Paul and his acolytes. Earlier this month, Paul's "Audit The Fed" bill passed the House of Representatives with overwhelming bipartisan support.

Dear Sir,

My name is Richard Drew and I'm a TV producer based in the Tri State area.

I consult for a company called Peacock Productions (part of NBC) who are currently working on a new show for a major cable network (NOT National Geographic) that looks at the US 'Preppers' community.

The show will be hosted by a major name from the network news world. He'd like to talk with some of the leading figures and characters within the Preppers world for their unique take and stories.
We're at a very early research stage on the show and I wondered if you'd be interested in sharing your own Preppers stories and background?

Please let me know if this idea may be of interest and hopefully we can set a time to talk shortly.
Many thanks,

Richard

Democrat Zuckerman Calls Obama Campaign 'Dishonest, Divisive'

Mortimer Zuckerman, the influential Democrat editior-in-chief of U.S. News & World Report called the Obama campaign “dishonest, divisive” in an article published in the online edition of the magazine.

“It is a dishonest, divisive campaign. It's discouraging of enterprise,” he penned. “It does the opposite of uniting the country to deal with the current economic crisis.”

Zuckerman, who is also the publisher and owner of the New York Daily News, said that Obama’s argument on taxes “is not just about whether the super-rich should pay more,” which he would support.

“It is about whether individuals, households, and small businesses should now be seen to cross the threshold into a plutocracy when earnings reach $250,000 a year — which buys much less in metropolitan areas than in the heartland,” according to Zuckerman. “It is outrageous to infer that aspiring to reach such a level is somehow un-American, and the Obama campaign surely must know that. Shame on them if they don't!”

President Obama Lies to Univision About Operation Fast and Furious

I'm shocked!  Who would have thunk'.........

Yesterday, Univision reporter Jorge Ramos did the job the American press won't do by asking Barack Obama tough questions, including questions on the topic of Fast and Furious. Obama of course tried to dodge the question by falsely citing Fast and Furious as starting under the Bush Administration. In reality, Fast and Furious was initiated in September 2009 and was carried out starting in October 2009, well into President Obama's first term. From the Univision interview:
Ramos: Shouldn't Attonrey General Eric have known about that and if he didn't shouldn't you fire him?
Obama: “I think it’s important for us to understand that the Fast and Furious program was a field-initiated program begun under the previous administration. When Eric Holder found out about it, he discontinued it. We assigned a inspector general to do a thorough report that was just issued, confirming that in fact Eric Holder did not know about this, that he took prompt action and the people who did initiate this were held accountable.”
Obama: "Eric Holder has my complete confidence."
