CEO Who Threatened to ‘Start Killing People’ Over Gun Control Has Handgun Permit Suspended

Via Don

The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security has suspended the handgun carry permit of James Yeager, CEO of Tactical Response, a firearms and tactical training company, who recently said he would “start killing people” if the Obama administration attempted to enact gun control through executive action.

In a statement released on Friday, state officials said they suspended Yeager’s permit based on “material likelihood of risk of harm to the public,” WTVF-TV reports.

The video of Yeager furiously denouncing the Obama administration and threatening violent action over gun control went viral on Thursday.

“The number one priority for our department is to ensure the public’s safety,” Commissioner Bill Gibbons wrote in a statement. “Mr. Yeager’s comments were irresponsible, dangerous, and deserved our immediate attention. Due to our concern, as well as that of law enforcement, his handgun permit was suspended immediately. We have notified Mr. Yeager about the suspension today via e-mail. He will receive an official notification of his suspension through the mail.”

  1. Yeah, he walked right into that on his own.

  2. They suspended his permit rather than try to seize his guns. That reveals a state of fear inside the government. They know that with the current mood of the population, this guy would become a martyr if they tried pulling a Ruby Ridge/Waco.

While the democrat leadership wants to disarm people, democrat-leaning people are buying guns in droves along with their republican counterparts (http://www.gallup.com/poll/150353/self-reported-gun-ownership-highest-1993.aspx). The statists know they won't have public opinion on their side, not these days with the internet and alternate media.

That is not to say the government WON'T try to grab our guns, but unless they are very, very stupid, they MAY not push as hard. Then again they may be that stupid. Never underestimate anything abot the enemy. Including stupidity.

  3. This is exactly what Obama and the rest of the gun grabbers want. Poke people with a stick until they can stand no more the isolate them. direct from Alinsky's work "Rules for Radicals."

RULE 12: “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions.

They are working to push us until we crack. If they can break a few of the more outspoken leaders then the masses will kneel.

  6. I say thank God for people like James Yeager. Only a complete idiot, or a .gov troll (sorry I am being redundant aren't I :-)), could possibly believe that when he said he would "start killing people" he meant either 1) Obama himself, or 2) just any random person(s). Although I cannot speak for the man, nor does he need me or anyone else to speak for him, I am almost 100% sure that by "people" he meant those LEO's, FLEAS's, etc. who may be foolish enough to break their sworn oath to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against ALL enemies, foreign AND DOMESTIC". Badger is right; this is simply yet another classic example of how effective the Alinskyites and those of their ilk have been over the past 60+ years in undermining the very foundation of this once great country. Furthermore, specifically because of Mr. Yeager's stand on this issue, I have this date registered for a 2-day Combat Rifle training course at Tactical Response's Camden, TN training grounds coming up next weekend. I can only hope that I will have the opportunity to personally tell him that, at least in my book, he has balls at least as big as Ann Barnhardt's :-).

  7. Yeah, James just posted a new vid complete with the eating of many crows, flanked by his Lawyer to make sure he worded everything right; and rife the Jargon-esque "Remain Calm! All is well!!" type reaffirmations.

  8. You know how ' they ' are about putting their own spin on anything they hear. " Loose Lip`s Sink Ship`s " He should have known better than to make even in jest a remark that could sound like a threat. This is no longer ( for the time being anyway ) the America of our youth.

    1. I'm looking for the reference where I recently read, "We are at War. The first rule of warfare is 'Keep Your Mouth Shut'." Advice I have resolved to implement here.

  9. This illustrates Robert Pratt's point that local government is not a panacea. The same stupidty and will to dominate infects governments all the way down to the level of cities and HOAs. We need to watch them all like hawks, not just DC

It occurred to me that these folks at TN DSHS have self-nominated for the Naughty List. I didn't think about it before, but do they all self-nominate?

  10. Talk is cheap...
So, are you gonna talk the government into allowing you to keep your 2nd Amendment Rights?
Now you tell me; Does the above sound right? Or does it sound kind'of odd?
When the time comes, it goes without saying, you know what needs to be done. Or maybe you don't, in which case you'd be on their side...

    1. We don't need a 2nd Amendment as we have our Natural Rights although Collectivists can't seem to fathom them.

  11. Well gee, that's the problem, Marxists, humanists, collectivists or whatever one wants to call them, they don't believe in Natural Rights because they don't believe in God, nor do they even accept the Law's of Nature, Natural Law. To them, man is god and dictates to all mankind what are his rights and what is not. But instead of using Inalienable Rights as we do, they use Civil Rights. Difference being, Inalienable Rights comes form God, while Civil Rights comes from man, created by his government, allowing their people to do certain things. So NO, they will NEVER fathom what you are trying to explain to them.
