Fox News poll: Twice as many favor more guns over banning guns to reduce crime

Nearly twice as many voters say there would be less violent crime if more law-abiding Americans owned guns, than if guns were banned.

In addition, while American voters generally favor strengthening gun laws, 71 percent do not think tougher laws can stop shootings like the one last month in Newtown, Connecticut.  Some 22 percent say new laws can prevent the next Sandy Hook.

These are just some of the findings from a Fox News poll released Friday.

  1. My Sheriff came out in the local rag stating that he supports the 2A and that an overzealous President violating the constitution in our county will not happen. "

Brings a tear to my eye.

"Sheriff said in the posting that he took an oath of office on Monday to, among other things, uphold the U.S. Constitution.

“Nowhere in my oath did I agree to uphold the arbitrary wishes of a President who strays outside his Constitutional authority,” Sheriff said in the online message."

Also, he reported in my County of about 45,000, the sheriff’s office is seeing an uptick in applications for permits to carry a concealed weapon. Sheriff said his office has received 35 new applications and 10 renewals in the four last days.

“We’re issuing a lot of concealed weapons permits as a result of what’s happening in Washington, D.C.,”

Daaa-yammm, good to see my neighbors arming up. Of course, this is Idaho... lol

  2. Why Yes, I do have a link to the paper. I had been wondering when he would come out of the closet, as many in my community have been asking. This is his second or third term. We thought we knew he was a Constitutional Sheriff, but had never been put to the test. NOW, we know for sure and the local libtards are besides themselves, as shown in the comments of the paper. lol

  3. Also, if you'd like to hear from the good Sheriff himself, here it is on the Sheriff's website.

I can't tell you how pleased I am on the liberal uprising. He can't be displaced for two years as he was just sworn in on Monday.

    Bwaaaaahahahahahahaha

Happy much? You F*kcin bet. I"ll start egging the libtards on tomorrow, when I'm sober as I've begun celebratory consumption. Bwwwwaaaaahahahahahahahahah

  4. I went to the gun rally in CDA today and your sheriff had a letter that was read and the whole crowd cheered. Perhaps you were there?
It was a good rally. Made my heart glad to see so many openly worn guns.
Enola Gay from http://www.paratusfamiliablog.com/ was there and her husband was one of the speakers.
It was worth the 2 hour round trip drive, and I bought some more ammo to boot.
Oh, there was music before the rally started and Brock you would be happy to know that along with other patriotic songs, Dixie was sung too. ;)

    1. That's great and you've met Enola Gay before, correct? Hope you're coming along well and I'm sure you sang Dixie loudly! By the way, Dixie and I just got back from the annual Lee-Jackson Day Dinner where the song Dixie was on tap thrice.:)

    2. No, I haven't met her. She was at the preppers expo when we had our meet and greet, but there were so many people there at her table you couldn't get up there. They only live about a 1/2 hours drive from us and I believe my husband worked on her shouse garage door, that's as close to fame as I have got, lol. ;)
I looked for Roswell there today, he was going to try and make it, but I never found him. It was a good day, even if it only was about 34 degrees, the sun was shining though!

:) That's funny as I mentioned to Dixie as we ate, that it seemed like we were conversing on FNC there, since all we were talking about at the table were guns, Obama and our response to a door to door confiscation! The Adjutant of my camp surprised me somewhat when he mentioned "they'll kill me, but I'll get many more."
