Student Sent Home for 'Support the Troops' Shirt... at Army Base!?

Via LH

 http://patdollard.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/Shirt-290x230.jpg

The 12-year-old daughter of a U.S. soldier deployed overseas was reportedly sent home from school by administrators for violating the dress code. Cejai Taylor wore a red t-shirt to honor her father, Sgt. James Taylor, and other service members. It was part of a "red shirt day" campaign that she hoped to start at the school.

But administrators reportedly objected because the shirt did not have a collar, though they are taking another look at their policy.

Tsarnaev-Connected Waltham Murders Occurred on 9/11

Via NC Renegade

The headstone of Erik Weissman, one of three murdered in Waltham, MA on Sept. 11, 2011. Tamerlan Tsarnaev knew all three men.

The fact that three men were brutally murdered on September 11, in murders which remain unsolved but in which the victims have now been connected to Tamerlan Tsarnaev, cannot be ignored.

ne aspect of the unsolved brutal throat-slashing murders of three men in a Waltham apartment in 2011, all three of whom knew Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the dead suspect in the Boston Marathon Bombings, has been overlooked.

It may be pure coincidence, but it turns out that Erik Weissman, 31 of Waltham, Raphael Terek, 37, of Waltham and Brendan Mess, 25, of Waltham were murdered on September 11, 2011. Terek and Weissman were Jewish.
That Tamerlan Tsarnaev knew the three men who were murdered became known recently, and the fact that Tamerlan was very close with at least one of them but never showed up for the funeral or memorial services, was considered odd at the time, but memory faded.

The exact date of the murders  – September 11 – and its significance, had not yet been recognized.
Despite efforts of officials and the mainstream media to avoid any linkage between the bombings just two weeks ago and a violence emanating from a particular form of radicalized Islam, everyone has now been forced to acknowledge that connection.

Judge to Janet Napolitano: You have to deport illegal immigrants

Via Daily Timewaster

Man, did this make my day.:)

 Duh.

VERBATIM

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano does not have the authority to refuse to enforce laws that require illegal immigrants to face deportation, according to the federal judge hearing the Immigration and Customs Enforcement union’s lawsuit against DHS.

“The court finds that DHS does not have discretion to refuse to initiate removal proceedings [when the law requires it],” U.S. District Judge Reed O’Connor said Wednesday, per Business Week.

O’Connor asked DHS and the ICE union to offer additional arguments before he makes a final ruling on the legality of President Obama’s “deferred action on childhood arrivals” program, which invoked prosecutorial discretion as a means of allowing people to stay in the country if they would have qualified for amnesty under the Dream Act, which never passed Congress.

The judge’s comments come one day after Napolitano scolded the union, during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on the Gang of Eight’s immigration bill, for challenging the policy she and Obama have implemented.

“There are tensions with union leadership, unfortunately,” Napolitano told Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., on Tuesday. “Here’s what I expect as a former prosecutor and attorney general: that is that law enforcement agents will enforce the law in accordance with the guidance they are given [by] their superiors.”

Sessions faulted Napolitano for refusing to meet with the ICE officers’ union. “I have never heard of a situation in which a group of law officers sued their supervisor, and you, for blocking them from following the law,” he said. “They weren’t complaining about pay, benefits, working conditions — they were saying their very oath they took to enforce the law is being blocked by rules and regulations and policies established from on high, and that this is undermining their ability to do what they are sworn to do.”

17 Unanswered Questions About The Boston Marathon Bombing The Media Is Afraid To Ask+

Comments go either way and I haven't checked all the times. but worth posting.  There are also additional links @ WRSA  including this gem:

…In fact, the various individuals and institutions involved in the Boston horror-farce are no more or less competent than the average person you meet in the course of an average day. Given the powers and weapons at their disposal, they are certainly far more dangerous, but that is a very different matter. The Killer Klowns of Death who patrolled Boston and environs last week are exactly as competent as that young, doubtless “well-intentioned” guy who took your order at lunch — and got it wrong…

BOSTON BOMBING - Did you notice this?

Will we ever learn the full truth about the Boston Marathon bombing?  Personally, I have been looking into this attack for days, and I just keep coming up with more questions than answers.  At this point, I honestly have no idea what really happened.  Why was a bomb drill being held on the day of the attack?  Why have authorities denied that a bomb drill was taking place?  Were Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev acting alone?  What was the nature of their previous contacts with the FBI and other federal agencies?  Why did the FBI at first deny that they had been in contact with the Tsarnaev brothers previously?

Why was the investigation of a mysterious Saudi national with familial links to al-Qaeda suddenly dropped shortly after the Saudi ambassador held an unscheduled meeting with Barack Obama?  Why did Michelle Obama subsequently visit that mysterious Saudi national in the hospital?  If you are looking for answers to these questions, I am afraid that I don’t have them at this point.  But what alarms me is that the mainstream media seems to be afraid to ask any of the hard questions that they should be asking.  They just seem to swallow whatever the authorities tell them hook, line and sinker without following up on any of the things in this case that simply do not seem to make sense.

So what kinds of questions should they be asking?  The following are 17 unanswered questions about the Boston Marathon bombing that the media appears to be afraid to ask…

Upcoming FEMA Drills Involve Community Groups And Faith Based Organizations

Via LH

 http://www.sott.net/image/image/s6/138122/full/ss_130419_boston_manhunt_24_ss.jpg

In the aftermath of the Boston Bombings, talk of “coincidentally” scheduled terror drills surrounding the attack has circulated throughout the Internet, prompting many to question the official version of the events. This is for good reason because the existence of military, emergency response, and other related drills on or around the time of a major event is one hallmark indicator of a false flag attack.

Not all drills and exercises foreshadow such a perception-shattering event, however. This is evidenced by the existence of undertakings like Be Ready Sunday, a preparedness drill sponsored by FEMA and implemented by the Disaster Resistant Communities Group in South Carolina and scheduled for April 28, 2013.

While the existence of such drills are not concerning in their own right, and one could scarcely argue that fire drills and emergency planning exercises are themselves a bad idea, what is concerning is the fact that DHS and FEMA are once again openly working with “faith-based organizations,” Neighborhood Watch Programs, Neighborhood Associations and other local and supposedly private groups, a role that is far from the legitimate purpose of either of these organizations.

As the FEMA website describes the Be Ready Sunday exercise,

NC: Restaurant Carry Passes Committe

After lengthy debate and after rejecting numerous anti-gun amendments, the NC House Judiciary A Committee today passed House Bill 937. The bill will now head to the House floor for a vote, likely next week.
  • In its present form, HB 937 would expand concealed carry into:
  • Restaurants;
  • Assemblies of people for which admission is charged;
  • College campuses (provided firearms are kept in locked vehicles); and
  • Parking lots of state office buildings.

HB 937 would also clean up flaws in the parks carry language passed in HB 650 under which municipalities continue to flout the law by banning guns in entire parks.

During sometimes rancorous debate, Representatives Darren Jackson (D-Wake , GRNC 0-star), Deborah Ross (D-Wake, 0-star) and others proposed amendments designed to be "poison pills" for the bill. All failed. Most surprising was an amendment by Rep. Bob Steinburg (R-Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Pasquotank, Perquimans, Tyrrell, ****) who supported the bill, but objected to provisions allowing concealed handgun permit-holders to keep firearms in locked vehicles on college campuses.

Sponsors Jacqueline Schaffer (R-Mecklenburg, ****), Justin Burr (R-Montgomery, Stanly, ****), John Faircloth (R-Guilford, ****), and George Cleveland (R-Onslow, ****) did an outstanding job of defending the bill. Addressing the committee in favor of the bill were GRNC president Paul Valone, Director of Development Josette Chmiel, and representatives for the NRA and NCRPA.

In testifying against the bill, North Carolinians "Against Gun Violence" director Gail Neely perjured herself to the committee by regurgitating a study which she claimed dealt with concealed handgun permit-holders, despite the fact that Valone had two weeks ago produced a copy of the study for her (and audience of an ACLU forum) demonstrating clearly that her claims were false.

Rep. Jackson introduced anti-gun amendment after anti-gun amendment in an attempt to "run the clock" on the bill until he was shut down by Committee Chair Rep. John Blust (R-Guilford, ****), who brought the bill to a vote.

Stay tuned for a detailed accounting of the committee action, including video.

CSA Colonel Ambrosio José Gonzales

Colonel Ambrosio José Gonzales (1818–1893) - Gonzales, a native Cuban, became a U.S. Citizen in 1849 and settled in Beaufort, South Carolina. Gonzales was active during the bombardment of Fort Sumter and because of his actions was appointed Lt. Colonel of artillery and assigned to duty as Chief of Artillery in the department of South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. Gonzales, who served as a special aide to the governor of South Carolina, submitted plans for the defense of the coastal areas of his homeland state. According to Major D. Leadbetter in a letter to the Secretary of War:

"The project of auxiliary coast defense herewith, as submitted by Col. A. J. Gonzales, though not thought to be everywhere applicable, is believed to be of great value under special circumstances. In the example assumed at Edisto Island, where the movable batteries rest on defensive works and are themselves scarcely exposed to surprise and capture, a rifled 24-pounder, with two small guns, rallying and reconnoitering from each of the fixed batteries, would prove invaluable. A lighter gun than the 24-pounder, and quite as efficient, might be devised for such service, but this is probably the best now available. Colonel Gonzales’ proposed arrangements for re-enforcing certain exposed and threatened maritime Posts seem to be judicious and to merit attention."

Gonzales was able to fend off Union gunboat attempts to destroy railroads and other important points on the Carolina coast by placing his heavy artillery on special carriages for increased mobility. On November 30, 1864, Gonzales served as Artillery Commander at the Battle of Honey Hill. The Battle of Honey Hill was the third battle of Sherman's March to the Sea fought in Savannah, Georgia.[29] Confederate President Jefferson Davis declined Gonzales's request for promotion to general six times. Davis' dislike for P. G. T. Beauregard deprived Gonzales of general's rank because he (Gonzales) had served under him. It is also believed that Gonzales's experience with Cuban filibusters, was no recommendation for command, nor were his contentious relationships with Confederate officers in Richmond.

FRANKLIN — History keeps popping up in present day.

Just weeks after workers excavating land for the future driveway into Franklin’s Civil War park discovered a 12-pound cannonball, another historical find has been unearthed.

Battle of Franklin Trust COO Eric A. Jacobson announced today that a visitor from Ohio recently found a Confederate belt buckle while walking through The Carter House garden. As the visitor began to walk back toward the secondary Federal line, he noticed something about half covered with loose dirt. Upon inspection, he immediately realized it was a buckle, and almost certainly Confederate.

“The day after a hard rain in Franklin, a visitor approached me about an item he found in The Carter House garden,” Jacobson said. “He had found what appeared to be a Confederate belt buckle that had surfaced in an area just inside what was the main Federal line during the Battle of Franklin.”

The only reasonable idea that Obama ever had

President Barack Obama has a strategy to discourage his daughters from rebelling, perhaps by getting a tattoo himself.

Obama says he and his wife, Michelle, have told 14-year-old Malia and 11-year-old Sasha that if they ever decide to get a tattoo then "mommy and me" will get the same tattoo in the same place on their bodies and show it off on YouTube as a "family tattoo."

Obama commented in an interview taped last week and broadcast Wednesday on NBC's "Today."

Beck and Barton........again

   In Defense of Gen. Forrest

========================================

Via SHNV

Back when Glenn Beck first appeared on FOX I warned people that this guy was not all he appeared to be.

A couple of years ago Beck and a minister named David Barton (Barton has a site called “Wallbuilders”) claimed that the Confederate Constitution had in its title, “The SLAVEHOLDING States of the Confederate States of America") They also claimed that the Confederate Founders mandated that any future state wishing to join the Confederacy would have to be a “slave state.” Both claims were patently untrue and the mistake, or lie if you prefer,  can be easily exposed with some simple research. Other than letters from a few nobodies like me however, these two liars went unchallenged.

It appears that the two are at it again….going after the Confederate boogeyman, this time focusing on Nathan Bedford Forrest. I do hope that by bringing this bare faced lie to the attention of the readers of this newsletter, that somehow, someone with some clout, perhaps an historian on our side, will give these guys “the cold steel” of truth and expose their lies.

Just wanted to let you guys know that I caught your act on "Nathan Bedford Forrest" recently. If the story of noses growing longer each time a person told a lie (ala "Pinocchio") were true, the two of you would need flatbed trucks to haul your schnozzes around.

Several years ago I saw the two of you partner on a lie that the Confederate Constitution contained the title "The Slaveholding States of the Confederate States of America" - There is of course, no such phrase or title in that Constitution. On that show you also claimed that in order for a state to join the Confederacy that it had to be a slave state. The records of the 1861 Constitutional Convention in Montgomery Alabama clearly show that this is not so. So then, either the two of you never read the Confederate Constitution or looked at what happened at the Confederacy's Constitutional Convention and are lying, or, you simply made a mistake. I'm opting for door number one. You both are liars. Now it appears that the two of you are at it again, this time with Forrest. I guess you can't understand the difference between "allegations" and "truth"....or.... you both are lying again.

Beck, I smelled a B.S. artist the first time I saw you. Stop trying to pander to Black Americans by attacking what you perceive to be "bad guys" on the Conservative side. Anyone who knows what bull***t smells like knows what you are." Barton, I'm not a very religious person and you are a minister....so you tell me...doesn't it say somewhere that lying is a sin?????

Our dear leader is not a sitting President…… There is nothing presidential about him. No, he is a Prison Warden. The United States of America has morphed by design into a Super Maximum Prison System. We are all prisoners at the current moment. Our elected state officials are now the Guard Captains of the individual cell blocks.

Our shanks and contraband are not unlike the items searched for in a lockdown. Huge swaths of the populace receive their three hots and their cots. As citizens we are classified now by our gang status, most of us have been classified as home-grown tomatoes. Yes we belong to an ever-increasing threat to the Warden and his Captains…. We are notorious gang members, willing to harm and riot.

Our e-mail and phone conversations are monitored, we are spied upon by the Wardens prison guards. As a prisoner of the Federal System we are no longer afforded our individual rights and expectations of privacy. Our very own Constitution is null and void as long as we carry the mark of the beast.

The cell blocks within the prison system are monitored with cameras at every intersection, our every move is being recorded, every key stroke typed on our computers are also being recorded.

Samurai sword-wielding Mormon bishop comes to aid of Utah neighbor chased and attacked by stalker

Kent Hendrix, 47, draws his sword near his house Tuesday, April 23, 2013, in Salt Lake City. Hendrix, a Samurai sword-wielding Mormon bishop came to the aid of a woman who was being attacked in front of his house. Hendrix woke up Tuesday to his teenage son pounding on his bedroom door and telling him somebody was being mugged. Hendrix grabbed a 29-inch Samurai sword and rushed out the door. He says the man attacking a woman jumped back and ran down the street after he drew the sword. The man was chased until he jumped in his car and drove away.

With a neighbor in distress, one Utah man did what any concerned citizen would do.
"I threw on some clothes and grabbed my sword," Kent Hendrix told the Salt Lake Tribune.
A Samurai-wielding Latter Day Saints bishop and others in Millcreek, Utah, came to the aid of a woman who was being attacked and chased by a former co-worker, authorities say.

Hendrix was in the shower at approximately 7 a.m. on Tuesday when his teenage son alerted him about a woman's screams for help, ABC 4 in Utah reported. Hendrix, a fourth-degree black belt, put on some clothes  and grabbed the 29-inch steel samurai sword he has owned since he was 17.

Russia Contacted FBI “Multiple” Times About Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s Ties To Islamic Militants

Russian authorities alerted the US government not once but ``multiple’’ times over their concerns about Tamerlan Tsarnaev -- including a second time nearly a year after he was first interviewed by FBI agents in Boston -- raising new questions about whether the FBI should have focused more attention on the suspected Boston Marathon bomber, according to US senators briefed on the probe Tuesday.

The FBI has previously said it interviewed Tsarnaev in early 2011 after it was initially contacted by the Russians. After that review, the FBI has said, it determined he did not pose a threat.

In a closed briefing on Tuesday, members of the Senate Intelligence Committee learned that Russia alerted the United States about Tsarnaev in ``multiple contacts’’ -- including ``at least once since October 2011,’’ said Richard Burr, a Republican of North Carolina, speaking with reporters afterward.

Senators said the briefing also revealed failures among federal agencies to share vital information about Tsarnaev, indicating, they said, that the US government still has not established a strong system to ``connect the dots’’ about would-be terrorists residing in America more than a decade after 9/11.

Banning homeschooling does not violate rights: U.S. Attorney General’s office

Screw you Marxist Holder

February 12, 2013 (HSLDA) - Having immersed myself for about eight days in writing a brief for the Romeike family (a German homeschooling family who fled to the United States for political asylum), I wanted to share some insights I gained into the view of our own government toward the rights of homeschooling parents in general.

You will benefit from some context.

The U.S. law of asylum allows a refugee to stay in the United States permanently if he can show that he is being persecuted for one of several specific reasons. Among these are persecution for religious reasons and persecution of a “particular social group.”

In most asylum cases, there is some guesswork necessary to figure out the government’s true motive—but not in this case. The Supreme Court of Germany declared that the purpose of the German ban on homeschooling was to “counteract the development of religious and philosophically motivated parallel societies.”

This sounds elegant, perhaps, but at its core it is a frightening concept. This means that the German government wants to prohibit people who think differently from the government (on religious or philosophical grounds) from growing and developing into a force in society.

Boston Suspect: US Wars in Iraq, Afghanistan Motivated Brothers

The 19-year-old suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings told interrogators that the U.S. wars in Afghanistan and Iraq motivated him and his brother to carry out the attack, U.S. officials familiar with the interviews said.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has acknowledged from his hospital bed his role in planting the explosives near the marathon finish line on April 15, the officials told The Washington Post.

The blasts — the first successful large-scale attack since 9/11 — killed three people and wounded more than 250 others.

Tsarnaev was arrested late on Friday in suburban Watertown just outside Boston.

The officials, who spoke to the Post on the condition of anonymity, said Dzhokhar and his older brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, who was killed by police in an overnight shootout, did not appear to have been directed by a foreign terrorist organization.

But the evidence so far suggests the brothers were “self-radicalized” through Internet sites and U.S. actions in the Muslim world, the officials told the Post.

Boston bombing suspect Tsarnaev received welfare benefits

Via Billy

Marathon bombings mastermind Tamerlan Tsarnaev was living on taxpayer-funded state welfare benefits even as he was delving deep into the world of radical anti-American Islamism, the Herald has learned.

State officials confirmed last night that Tsarnaev, slain in a raging gun battle with police last Friday, was receiving benefits along with his wife, Katherine Russell Tsarnaev, and their 3-year-old daughter. The state’s Executive Office of Health and Human Services said those benefits ended in 2012 when the couple stopped meeting income eligibility limits. Russell Tsarnaev’s attorney has claimed Katherine — who had converted to Islam — was working up to 80 hours a week as a home health aide while Tsarnaev stayed at home.

In addition, both of Tsarnaev’s parents received benefits, and accused brother bombers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan were recipients through their parents when they were younger, according to the state.
