Surrender

Via Daily Timewaster

Obama has surrendered. NBC reports, “Obama will seek Congressional approval before any military action against Syria”. Strikes would be “effective tomorrow or next week or one month from now,” the President was quoted as saying.

As I wrote upon hearing that the British had pulled out of his ‘limited but decisive’ symbolic gesture: “it’s over. … Now, with Britain out of the operation, Obama faces the prospect of going into Syria almost literally alone, without the UN, NATO, Congress, or even the UK to back him up. Two courses are now open to him. He can climb down as best he can and pretend he’s changed his mind or he can go forward risking a wider war for nothing.”

It just took him that many more hours to realize that Steiner was not coming.

But the crisis has not yet ended. It’s just moved from Syria to Washington. There is now a power vacuum in Washington. For either there’s a new President Obama — one who has learned to share power not only with the other branches, but also with other points of view within America — or a new President in the manner of Gerald Ford after Nixon left. The old omnipotent President Obama, able to make the seas fall, the child of the world uniquely equipped to build bridges everywhere, answerable only to himself, is gone.

As America’s leader the old Obama handed Syria, Russia and Iran and huge victory. Gave it to them on a platter with his vaunting, invincible stupidity. In the process, not only has he shot America in the foot on the world stage but he will have emboldened the Ayatollahs to forge ahead with their nuclear ambitions. He will have encouraged Russia to make a comeback in the region. We will shortly feel these effects in Egypt, Iran and even in Europe.

Long-time readers of this website will no-doubt recall the active killer attack at New Life Church in Colorado Springs, CO in 2007. After having killed two people and wounding two others at a YWAM training center, the 24 year-old killer set his sights on New Life Church. What he did not know was that the flock at New Life had protection from wolves such as him, in the form of sheepdogs who made up the church's safety team. Among those sheepdogs was Carl Chinn, author of "Evil Invades Sanctuary: The Case for Security in Faith-Based Organizations."

While many will recall that the New Life Church attack ended when an safety team member Jeanne Assam engaged the killer with the 9mm pistol she had permission to carry in the church, very few may recall that there were other armed safety team members, including Chinn, on hand that day. And although initial news reports made mention of this fact, it's likely that no one who hasn't read the book know the real story about how this team worked together to prevent a greater loss of life.

Chinn's book begins with a chapter called "The Wakeup Call." The chapter opens with a chilling account of an armed, shirtless man with notes scribbled on his body (including instructions on what to do with his body) walking into the lobby of Dr. James Dobson's Focus on the Family headquarters in 1996. Chinn worked there, and had been extensively involved in pre-incident emergency response planning, just as he was years later at New Life Church, when another armed predator came calling.

Chinn observes that "security is often not a priority at ministries until something significant happens."
"Fortunately," he adds, "that was not the case at Focus on the Family or New Life Church."

Sheriff’s bean bag shotgun halts sword attack

A sword-wielding 33-year-old Rancho Cucamonga man charged deputies while hollering “Allah Akbar,” sheriff’s officials say, until the deputies halted him with a blast from a bean bag shotgun.

Montasir Ishag was arrested at 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, along the 9400 block of Glenaire Court and booked for investigation of attempted murder of a police officer, jail records show. His bail is $1 million.

Deputies were summoned to the house at 1:26 p.m. by a caller who said his son was under the influence of meth and was having a bi-polar episode, sheriff’s officials said in a written statement.
The caller also said his son had a sword in his bedroom and feared for his safety.

Putin: ‘utter nonsense’ that the Syrian government used chemical weapons on its own people

Via Frank

Russian President Vladimir Putin (RIA Novosti / Aleksey Nikolskyi)

Russian President Vladimir Putin has declared ‘utter nonsense’ the idea that the Syrian government has used chemical weapons on its own people and called on the US to present its supposed evidence to the UN Security Council.

Putin has further called the Western tactic a ‘provocation.’

Washington has been basing its proposed strategy of an attack on Syria on the premise that President Bashar Assad’s government forces have used chemical agents, while Russia finds the accusations unacceptable and the idea of performing a military strike on the country even more so. Especially as it would constitute a violation of international law, if carried out without the approval of the UN Security Council.

Further to this, Putin told Obama that he should consider what the potential fallout from a military strike would be and to take into consideration the suffering of innocent civilians.

The Russian president has expressed certainty that the strategy for a military intervention in Syria is a contingency measure from outside and a direct response to the Syrian government’s recent combat successes, coupled with the rebels’ retreat from long-held positions.

Obama Caves: Agrees to Congressional Vote Before Military Action

http://images.theage.com.au/2013/08/30/4704591/art-762813544-620x349.jpg

No attack on Syria then.  Of course the only reason is that Obama realized that the world's opinion was against him and chose this way of eating his words.  Fine with me as it's none of our business.

President Barack Obama reassured an uneasy nation on Saturday that any attack on Syria will be limited in scope and will only come after a debate of the people's representatives in both houses of Congress.

Speaking in the Rose Garden, the president said he had already made the decision that military action was warranted following a chemical attack earlier this month that was believed to have been ordered by Syrian President Bashar Assad.

"In a world of many dangers this menace must be confronted," Obama said, adding that the attack on civilians "risks making a mockery of the global prohibition on chemical weapons" and "could lead to escalated use of chemical weapons."

He said he contacted congressional leaders on Saturday and that they plan to hold a debate and a vote as soon as Congress comes back in September.

Seceding from the Corrupt Aristocratic Democrats of the South

 http://www.baumanrarebooks.com/BookImages/73259f.jpg

Colonel Timothy Pickering of Massachusetts advocated New England’s secession from the United States in 1804, and creating a “Northern Confederacy.” He and others viewed this more perfect union as having “all the advantages which have been for a few years depending on the general Union [which] would be continued [and] without the jealousies and enmities that now afflict both, and which particularly embitter the condition of that of the North.”  Notably, the slave-trading States of Massachusetts and Rhode Island would have been the cornerstone of this new republic.

Seceding from the Corrupt Aristocratic Democrats of the South

“In the prior history of the country, repeated instances are found of the assertion of this right [of secession], and of a purpose entertained at various times to put it in execution.  Notably is this true of Massachusetts and other New England States.  The acquisition of Louisiana had created much dissatisfaction in those States, for the reason, expressed by an eminent citizen of Massachusetts [George Cabot], that “the influence of our [the Northeastern] part of the Union must be diminished by the acquisition of more weight at the other extremity.”

The project of separation was freely discussed, with no intimation, in the records of the period, of any idea among its advocates that it could be regarded as treasonable or revolutionary.

Colonel Timothy Pickering, who had been an officer of the war of the Revolution, afterward successively Postmaster-General, Secretary of War, and Secretary of State in the Cabinet of General Washington, and, still later, long a representative of the State of Massachusetts in the Senate of the United States, was one of the leading secessionists of his day.

Writing from Washington to a friend, on the 24th of December, 1803, he says:

“I will not yet despair. I will rather anticipate a new confederacy, exempt from the corrupt and corrupting influence and oppression of the aristocratic democrats of the South. There will be (and our children, at farthest, will see it) a separation.  The white and black population will mark the boundary.”

In another letter, written a few weeks afterward (January 29, 1804), speaking of what he regarded as wrongs and abuses perpetrated by the then existing Administration, he thus expresses his views of the remedy to be applied:

“The principles of our Revolution point to the remedy – a separation.  That this can be accomplished, and without spilling one drop of blood, I have little doubt . . . I do not believe in the practicality of a long-continued Union.  A Northern Union would unite congenial characters and present a fairer prospect of public happiness; while the Southern States, having a similarity of habits, might be left to “manage their own affairs in their own way.”  If a separation were to take place, our mutual wants would render a friendly and commercial intercourse inevitable.

It [the separation] must begin in Massachusetts.  The proposition would be welcome in Connecticut; and could we doubt of New Hampshire? But New York must be associated . . . she must be made the center of the Confederacy.  Vermont and New Jersey would follow of course, and Rhode Island of necessity” [Pickering to Cabot, “Life of Pickering,” pp. 338-340].

Substituting [Southern States for those Northern States above], we find the suggestions of 1860-61 only a reproduction of those thus outlined nearly sixty years earlier.

Such were the views of an undoubted patriot who had participated in the formation of the Union, and who had long been confidentially associated with Washington in the administration of its Government, looking at the subject from a Northern standpoint, within fifteen years after the organization of that Government under the Constitution.

His authority is cited only as showing the opinion prevailing in the North at that day with regard to the right of secession from the Union, if deemed advisable by the ultimate and irreversible judgment of the people of a sovereign State.”

CNN Caught Staging News Segments on Syria With Actors

 Roadside_mural_of_Bashar_al_Assad_along_the_Damascus-Aleppo_highway-300x199

Anderson Cooper and CNN have been caught staging fake news about Syria to justify military intervention.

The primary “witness” that the mainstream media is using as a source in Syria has been caught staging fake news segments.  Recent video evidence proves that “Syria Danny”, the supposed activist who has been begging for military intervention on CNN, is really just a paid actor and a liar.

While Assad is definitely a tyrant like any head of state, a US invasion of the country is a worst case scenario for the people living there.

By pointing out that the mainstream media is orchestrating their entire coverage of this incident, we are not denying that there is a tremendous amount of death and violence in Syria right now.  However, we are showing that the mainstream media version of events is scripted and staged propaganda.

The following video shows him contradicting himself while off air, and even asking crew members to “get the gunfire sounds ready” for his video conference with Anderson Cooper on CNN.

Rand Paul: If Boehner Passes Amnesty, Will Be 'Final Thing He Does as Speaker'

 http://cdn01.dailycaller.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/Paul830-e1377895763872.jpg

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) said on Laura Ingraham’s radio program that House Speaker John Boehner’s speakership is in jeopardy if any form of amnesty, such as the Senate's immigration reform bill, becomes law.

“I’m worried about conference,” Paul said Friday, according to Roll Call. “The only way to avoid a problem with conference is for the speaker of the House to say we are not going to conference, and we will not allow a vote on anything coming out of conference that resembles the Senate bill, and if there were a much more limited bill that emphasizes border security first, that we would do that.”

Shhh! Teen mob that raped 2 women ... was black '

Maybe they could get some help finding these youths if they gave a description'

The original news story from local sources and linked on the Drudge Report said 12 teens raped two women, aged 32 and 24, Thursday evening in Wilmington, Del., and police were looking for help in finding the suspects.

The local Wilmington paper dutifully said the police were searching for “teens” of unspecified race.
Only later was it reported the teens – all believed by police to be between age 12 and 17 – were also black.

Local readers noticed the omission.

“Maybe they could get some help finding these youths if they would give a description,” said Michael Harmon in the News Journal web site. “They already know the ages somehow. Whenever they got the ages of these idiots, maybe someone could give them the race.”

Another commenter, representative of the many people who used to live in the city but now live in the suburbs, said, “The once great city of Wilmington has become just another urban jungle … overrun and in many ways taken over by savages.”

Feds forced churches to get baptism permits

 Via Bill

 http://i0.wp.com/www.jewishpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/Baptism.jpg?w=477

For as far back as anyone can remember, Missouri Baptists have gathered on river banks for Sunday afternoon baptisms.

The preacher leads the new believers into the water, draped in white robes as a choir sings, “Shall We Gather at the River.”

It’s the way it’s been done for generations – baptizing in creeks, lakes, and rivers “in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.”

But now the long-cherished tradition of “taking the plunge” has been drawn into a controversy with the federal government.
Many Christians believe the Bible commands new followers of Christ to be baptized immediately after their conversion.
The National Park Service began enforcing a policy recently that required churches to obtain special use permits in order to baptize in public waters. As part of the same permit process, the NPS also mandated that churches give the Park Service 48 hours advance notice of pending baptisms.
