We Have Racists Alright, But They’re Not White

Via Billy

Imagine this scenario.

A white man commits a crime in a low income, inner-city  neighborhood. After the crime, a black police officer stops him on the street on suspicion of committing this crime.  There is video evidence of the young, white man committing the offense of robbing a convenience store.

After the black police officer confronts the white man, who is significantly larger than the black police officer, the white man attacks the officer in his vehicle and then runs away. The officer follows. The black police officer fires warning shots as the large, white man turns to attack him.

The white man ignores this and keeps charging to kill the smaller black police officer for sure with his bare hands. The black police officer shoots and kills the white man in self defense.

Sheriff David Clarke: Obama's calls for calm "done with a wink and a nod"

This guy is good.

"I heard some of the president's comments last night, he said that what we need to do is try to understand them and he said that the anger was an understandable reaction, and I was just floored by that, because it's not an understandable reaction. People have to come up with a more socially acceptable way to deal with anger and frustration. This is totally and unequivocally intolerable" he said.

And "once the decision was rendered, then, you know, the rioting and the looting started. That's not peaceful protest, it didn't start off as peaceful protests...so when I heard the president call for calm after the rioting started, I questioned his sincerity because some of his political strategy of divide and conquer fuels this sort of racial animosity between people, and so I think when he called for calm after the rioting started, I believe it was done with a wink and a nod."

He also criticized Missouri Governor Jay Nixon (D), accusing him of "trying to soft shoe this thing. I don't think he has the intestinal fortitude to deal with this.

Innis: Outside Ferguson Agitators a Get Out the Vote Strategy

Via Mike

Niger Innis, Executive Director of TheTeaParty.net and National Spokesman for the Congress of Racial Equality said that outside agitators causing violence in Ferguson, MO were part of a get out the vote effort for 2016 and an attempt to "re-engage" the "Progressive coalition" on Wednesday's "Your World with Neil Cavuto" on the Fox News Channel.

"What happens when the circus, and I define the circus as the paid protesters, the anarchists, the activists, the card-carrying zealots that are out there, the Occupy Wall Street crowd that has come into Ferguson. what happens when they leave town...what will be left is an economic wasteland, and the very frustration, legitimate frustration that the people of Ferguson have, the young people of Ferguson have, jobs, economic opportunity, education choices, and education and economic uplift, their situation is going to be worse off, not better off because of this" he stated.

Obama on Ferguson: America's Racist, Give Me More Power

On Monday night, after the media’s attempted racial assassination of Officer Darren Wilson shipwrecked on the rocky shoals of the criminal justice system, President Obama took to the podium to try to salvage their narrative of American racism. The media spent months portraying 18-year-old black man Michael Brown as a “gentle giant” victimized by cruel white racist Wilson, and by extension, charging America’s law enforcement establishment with the ultimate sin. Unwilling to let that narrative die, President Obama stepped forward – and in doing so, fueled the flames for future racial conflagrations.

Andrew Jackson and the Spoils System

Small “r” republican John C. Calhoun of South Carolina predicted the result when political victory became a license for partisan favors to be distributed to base and corrupt party men.

Bernhard Thuersam, www.Circa1865.com

Andrew Jackson and the Spoils System:

“[For] the first forty years of our history were singularly free from the spoils system, with the coming of Andrew Jackson, “the man of perpetual fury,” all this had been changed. Jackson frankly divided the spoils of political victory with his fellow Democrats and established a precedent which successive administrations, Democrat, Whig and Republican alike, had eagerly followed, till slowly, but with terrible certainty, the partisan conception had grown into a system, generally accepted as an unavoidable incident of popular government.

There had, of course, always been indignant protestants. Calhoun, in 1835, declared:

“So long as the offices were considered as public trusts, to be conferred on the honest, the faithful and capable, for the common good, and not for the benefit or gain of the incumbent or his party, and so long it was the practice of the Government to continue in office those who faithfully performed their duties, its patronage, in point of fact, was limited to the mere power of nominating to accidental vacancies or to newly created offices, and would, of course, exercise but a moderate influence either over the body of the community or over the office holders themselves; but when this practice was reversed – when offices, instead of being considered as public trusts, to be conferred on the deserving, were regarded as the spoils of victory, to be bestowed as rewards for partisan service – it is easy to see the certain, direct and inevitable tendency . . . to convert the entire body of those in office into corrupt and supple instruments of power, and to raise up a host of hungry, greedy and subservient partisans, ready for every service, however base and corrupt.”

"A good part of the responsibility for the horrors of Anderson rests with General U.S. Grant"

Failure met the 1863 humanitarian mission of Vice President Alexander H. Stephens, and the overtures of General Lee toward Grant for the exchange of prisoners which would relieve their suffering at Andersonville. President Jefferson Davis himself paroled a delegation of Andersonville prisoners in vain to personally ask Lincoln to intervene.
Bernhard Thuersam, www.Cicra1865.com

No Relieving the Andersonville Suffering

“I am certainly no admirer of Jefferson Davis or the late Confederacy, but in justice to him and that the truth may be known, I would state that I was a prisoner of war for twelve months, and was in Andersonville when the delegation of prisoners spoken of by Jefferson Davis left there to plead our cause to with the authorities at Washington; and nobody can tell, unless it be a shipwrecked and famished mariner, who sees a vessel approaching and then passing on without rendering aid, what fond hopes were raised, and how hope sickened into despair waiting for the answer that never came.

In my opinion, and that of a good many others, a good part of the responsibility for the horrors of Anderson rests with General U.S. Grant, who refused to make a fair exchange of prisoners.”

Henry M. Brennan, Late Private, Second Pennsylvania Cavalry”

(Southern Historical Society Papers, Volume I, page 318) Never mentioned, of course

Barney was present for the trial and execution in July of the infamous "Andersonville Raiders". These prisoners banned together and terrorized the rest of the camp. Finally in July the raiders faced growing opposition from fellow inmates, were overpowered and restrained. Captain Wirz permitted the prison population to put the Raiders on trial and promised to carry out their verdicts. The six ringleaders were sentenced to hang and the execution was conducted within the prison stockade by the prison population on July 11, 1864.

Fergusons in Perpetuity: Thoughts on the Unfixable

https://educationrealist.files.wordpress.com/2014/04/bcfreqblkwhiteiq.png

Two questions, methinks, arise from Ferguson's latest outburst. The first, political, is "Why does the country tolerate it?" The second, more anthropologically interesting, is "Why the eerie incapacity of underclass blacks to understand evidence, or law, or much of anything?" Of the countless explanations given for the poor performance and poor behavior of blacks in the US, one of them dares not speak its name: Low intelligence.

Yet it fits all the evidence. It explains why Africa never built cities, why it did not invent writing, why there was no African Fifth-Century Athens. It explains why Rhodesia, prosperous and an exporter of food when run by whites, fell immediately into hunger and barbarism when whites left. It explains the dysfunction of black societies from Africa to Haiti to Detroit. It explains why blacks invariably score far below whites and Asians on tests of IQ, on the SATs, GREs, on entrance and promotion exams for fire and police departments.

The great thing about Obama’s TelePrompter is that when he stops reading from it, he slips up and tells the truth.

Daniel Halper:
The White House has argued that President Obama’s executive amnesty order last week was made well within the existing law. But in remarks in Chicago tonight, President Obama went off script and admitted that in fact he unilaterally made changes to the law.
President Obama made the admission after getting heckled for several minutes by immigration protesters.

College Student Gets Robbed, Then Says His Own ‘Privilege’ Had Something to Do With It

Via Joe

Depending on how you read it, it could be a level-headed act of forgiveness or a disturbing letter saying victims of robbery contribute to it simply because of their status.

At the root: an armed robbery, “economic inequality” and “privilege.”

After Oliver Friedfeld, a senior at Georgetown University in Washington, was the victim of an armed robbery in the neighborhood that shares his university’s name a few weeks ago, he penned a Nov. 18 editorial in his campus newspaper with a bold headline: “I Was Mugged, And I Understand Why.”

Wells Fargo Refuses To Pay Woman What She’s Owed: “Practically Laughed At Me”

Via avordvet

 wells-fargo-cd

The recent actions of mega behemoth Wells Fargo show us just why so many people are distrustful of large financial  institutions. The bank, which claims it will help you achieve what’s important, has done exactly the opposite in the case of Rosemary Ronstein.

At the height of the 2009 financial crisis Ms. Ronstein was facing a home foreclosure. After her husband passed away that same year the widow was searching through personal records when she happened across a 30-year old CD purchased by her husband in 1984 for the sum of $18,000. The CD, which offered the bearer a 10.9% interest rate and renewed automatically until it was cashed in, was originally issued by First Interstate Bank, an entity that has since been acquired by Wells Fargo.

At the time, Ronstein faced the real possibility of having her house seized for failing to pay her mortgage. The CD was like a dream come true. All her problems would be solved, which is exactly the reason why her late husband originally purchased the CD and gave it to her for safekeeping.

But when Ronstein arrived at Wells Fargo to trade in her financial instrument, she says that not only did the bank refuse to make good on the Cash Deposit, they practically laughed in her face.

Student took this photo of a bear just before it killed him

A Rutgers student who was killed by a bear while hiking in New Jersey snapped photos of the 300-pound beast before it chased him, mauled him — and even gouged the phone the victim used to take his last pics.

Darsh Patel was walking with four friends through the Apshawa Preserve in West Milford in September when the black bear attacked.

Rocker Ted Nugent’s epic response to Ferguson grand jury decision

 ted_nugent

After St. Louis County prosecuting attorney Robert McCulloch announced Monday that the grand jury hearing evidence in the fatal shooting of Michael Brown had issued no bill of indictment against Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson, everyone, it seemed, had an opinion.

None, however, was quite as succinct and spot on as that of the Motor City Madman, rock legend Ted Nugent.

Nugent posted his thoughts, which were really more of an admonition, on his Facebook page.

Why Can’t We Publish Addresses Of New York Times Reporters?

 timesreporters

New York Times reporters Julie Bosman and Campbell Robertson published the address of Darren Wilson in the New York Times so here are their addresses.

GotNews.com strenuously objects to publishing the addresses of individuals who are being targeted with death threats.

GotNews.com published the address of Ebola patient Nina Pham so that people could avoid going to her Houston apartment.

But it would also be wrong to publish the addresses of journalists without their consent.

It would be wrong, for example, to publish Bosman’s address at

CCW Breakaways carry solution: Is that a gun in your pants? Why, yes!

By

Full-size 1911 -- or two, one on each side -- work fine for my 6'2" friend.

Traditionally, throwing a gun in your pocket has been viewed with disfavor. The practice is seldom safe and usually requires a lot of time to get the pistol out because the pocket openings are too narrow for the grip combined with the firing grip around it. The defender then has to flatten the hand to get it and the gun out of the pocket, then re-grip the gun for firing. There’s got to be a better way.

Obamacare offers firms $3,000 incentive to hire illegals over native-born workers

 Via Billy

Under the president’s new amnesty, businesses will have a $3,000-per-employee incentive to hire illegal immigrants over native-born workers because of a quirk of Obamacare.

President Obama’s temporary amnesty, which lasts three years, declares up to 5 million illegal immigrants to be lawfully in the country and eligible for work permits, but it still deems them ineligible for public benefits such as buying insurance on Obamacare’s health exchanges.

Under the Affordable Care Act, that means businesses who hire them won’t have to pay a penalty for not providing them health coverage — making them $3,000 more attractive than a similar native-born worker, whom the business by law would have to cover.
