'White genocide' billboard posted on I-59, similar to 'anti-white' sign near Leeds

Via comment by Anonymous on Ron Paul: "Reality Is Now Setting In For America.....

For the second time in less than a year, a billboard near Birmingham is carrying a racial message connected to a segregationist screed.

Posted along I-59 near Springville in St. Clair county, the billboard says "Diversity means chasing down the last white person" and includes the hashtag #whitegenocide

“Mr. Douglas’s manners – what he has – may be good enough for his northern friends but they don’t set well with folks who know what manners is.”

The political campaign of 1872 saw Grant win the presidency again though the corruption and scandals of his administration like Credit Mobilier would not surface until after his reelection. His opponent, Northern newspaperman Horace Greeley, was outspoken against the black vote being manipulated by Grant’s party, stating that “they are an easy, worthless race, taking no thought of the morrow.” He thought the freedmen no longer deserved government support, his harsh injunction being “root, hog, or die.”

Controlling North Carolina Elections in a Businesslike Manner

“In the summer of 1872 . . . my immediate recreation was the heated political campaign which was then in full swing . . . the Republicans had put forward their contention along the most radical lines. A black Negro man had practically dictated the platform, claiming complete civil and social rights; endorsing [scalawag Governor W.W.] Holden, who had been removed by impeachment from his governorship; and injecting various “isms” which had been imported by the carpet-bag elements.

The most distinguished of the deserters from Democracy, Samuel L. Phillips, had begun the campaign with the opening sentence, “Hitherto, I have not been a Republican.”

The Democrats . . . had named for governor Judge Merrimon, from the mountain country and a life-long rival of Governor [Zebulon] Vance, a representative of the Union and war sentiment. In those days there was no place for a Democrat on the Democratic ticket.

Judge Merrimon was a ponderous person, addicted to the Websterian style of garment and the Websterian habit of four-hour speeches. Vance had declined the nomination.

The national features of this election were historically and dramatically set. As North Carolina voted in August, it led the procession . . . The Negroes voted for the first time for a president and were drilled [by Republicans] to vote early and often. The presidential contest was between the regular Republican party, supporting Grant, and the Liberal Republicans, whose candidate, Horace Greeley, had been endorsed by the Democrats.

Fred Douglas, the Negro orator, was sent into the denser populations of colored people in the eastern counties. He spoke before a multitude in Warrenton. His racial instinct to magnify himself and display his superiority made him speak along lines that were so much metaphysics to the audience. They had come to hear paeans of praise for [Republican] officeholders and denunciation of the old masters, with jests broad enough to get over the platform.

John Hyman, a colored barkeeper and later successful candidate for Congress, had placed on the speaker’s table a glass of sherry for Fred Douglas’s refreshment. Douglas sipped it between perorations, explaining it to his audience that it was not liquor, but sherry wine; and that while it might have been worse, it puzzled him to see how.

This gave great offense. His hearers did not believe him; and John Hyman, who had donated the wine, remarked that “Mr. Douglas’s manners – what he has – may be good enough for his northern friends but they don’t set well with folks who know what manners is.”

The regular Republicans followed the military tactics of Grant, their leader, and they sat down to the task of carrying the State in a thoroughly businesslike manner. The Federal courts were prostituted to their purpose and issues thousands of orders for arrest for Democrats who were accused of belonging to the Ku Klux.

A quarter of a million dollars was spent on tipstaffs and underlings connected with the courts. Every branch of the Government was called upon to furnish its quota of force. The Congress had passed bills promising social equality to the black; every State had a garrison of [Northern] troops placed conveniently to suppress any outbreak which should be kindled by political provocation.

The idea of allowing the possession of the Government to pass out of the [Grant Republican] party’s hands was not tolerated [and] . . . The result of the election was foregone.”

NC: Fort Fisher's historic importance in Civil War largely forgotten

Via Bob

Ask anyone to talk about the Civil War in North Carolina, and the first name you're likely to hear is Sherman.

Fisher is almost an afterthought. The battle on the beach outside Wilmington seems lost in the shuffle.

Historians believe the battle was one of the pivotal conflicts of the war. It was the largest fort ever built in the United States, and it endured one of the heaviest naval bombardments in history.

But 150 years later, it remains almost unknown outside the state.

"The fort's fame, like the fort itself, eroded away," said North Carolina historian Jim Leutze.

New American Muscle: 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT, Mustang GT500 & Camaro Z/28

 Hellcat

1. Simply put, the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is now the most powerful muscle car you can buy. With a touch of the pedal the 6.2L supercharged V8 body-slams a whopping 707 rear wheel hp (rumors place it closer to over 800) and 650lbft of torque to the pavement. To put things in perspective the Dodge Viper only produces 640hp. If you are brave enough to try, the top speed is 205mph. With the launch control set, the Hellcat will run the quarter mile in 11 seconds flat. It is available with either an 8spd Torque Flight automatic or a 6 – speed manual swapped in from the Viper. It is surprisingly nimble around the corners, but still handles like a muscle car should. Track testing brought about interesting results by demonstrating that the automatic makes the jump from 0-60 in just 3.6 seconds, which is actually faster than the manual’s 3.9 second 0-60. For those of us pining for the old days of big motors and rear wheel drive, this bad boy is definitely a top contender.

Ralph Peters: US Must ‘Leave Behind Smoking Ruins and Crying Widows’ Fighting Terrorism

https://i.imgur.com/vbbLS2j.jpg

Retired Lt. Col. and Fox News Strategic Analyst Ralph Peters said that the US must avoid nation building and overlitigating the war on terror and instead “leave behind smoking ruins and crying widows” on Friday’s “O’Reilly Factor” on the Fox News Channel.

Peters said the plan for fighting war is “one, you accept that you are in a war. Two, you name the enemy: Islamist terrorists. Three, you get the lawyers off the battlefield and out of the targeting cell. You accept there will be collateral damage, and do you not apologize for it, you do not nation build.

You don’t hold — try to hold ground. You go wherever in the world the terrorists are and you kill them. You do your best to exterminate them, and then you leave, and you leave behind smoking ruins and crying widows. If in five or ten years they reconstitute and you have got to go back, you go back and you do the same thing and you never never never send American troops into a war you don’t mean to win.” And “be as merciless as the enemy, if you’re not willing to do that, they will win.”

A TERRORIST NATION

As France wakes up to Islamic threat, 'far right' Le Pen surges

Via David

“Time’s up for denial and hypocrisy,” says Marine Le Pen, leader of France’s Front National political party.  “The absolute rejection of Islamic fundamentalism must be proclaimed loudly and clearly.”

Le Pen and her party are routinely denounced by the establishment media and politicians throughout the EU as “far right” and “racist.”  The demonization may have lost all traction, however, as two hostage situations play out, having a profound effect on French national consciousness. A report in Bloomberg Business Week by Angeline Benoit, Sandrine Rastello, and Caroline Alexander well sums up the fear gripping the establishment.

NC: Stonewall Jackson School of Reclaiming Human Character

Governor Charles B. Aycock strongly supported educational improvement for both white and black citizens, and his successor Governor Robert B. Glenn helped add humanitarian measures during his term. The Christian and philanthropic King’s Daughters and other service organizations helped create the Stonewall Jackson school in Concord, an institution which would be considered “green” today.

Stonewall Jackson School of Reclaiming Human Character

The Stonewall Jackson Manual Training and Industrial School at Concord had its first legislative provision and appropriation during the session of the General Assembly of 1907.  The significance of the act in relationship to the broadening humanitarian program of the State has been noted elsewhere . . .

The King’s Daughters, women’s clubs, other organizations and Honorable James P. Cook of Concord were largely responsible for stimulating the Legislature to make an initial appropriation of ten thousand dollars to provide a place for training the “socially unadjusted boys of the State.”

Every State in the Union has made similar provision in one way or another, and such a school is no longer considered as a “correctional institution,” but a specialized school actually integrated with the educational system of the State.  In the thirty odd years since the opening of the Jackson Training School more than five thousand boys have had the opportunities of the training here, and statistics have indicated that about four-fifths of them have gone well-qualified in skill, in attitude and in other qualifications for useful places in citizenship.

The original site for the school was donated by citizens of Concord and Cabarrus County. The first cottage home was built and furnished largely with the aid of the King’s Daughters and other women’s clubs of the State.  The doors of the school were opened January 12, 1909.  Since the Jackson Training School has become a little city unto itself . . . and the school has grown in physical plant and enlarged its humanitarian service in the reclamation of human character.

[In 1940] the physical plant embraced seventeen cottages, the Cannon Memorial Building, the trades building, a shop, a barn, the gymnasium, swimming pool, a library of five thousand volumes, infirmary, ice-plant, dairy, laundry, bakery and textile unit.

One interesting feature is a complete cotton mill unit. Cotton raised in the field by the labor of the boys, is woven into cloth by the boys, which material is composed largely of shirting.  Then the boys in the sewing room make this material into shirts for school use.  When these shirts are worn out the rags are used for cleaning purposes, and eventually returned to the soil, thus completing the cycle of the combination of nature’s and man’s processes.

A weekly journal, “The Uplift,” is published by the printing class of the school. The printing shop, shoe and harness repair shop, sheet metal shop, barber shop, the dairy and the farm, present a remarkable scope of opportunities of training for every boy in the school.

The State has provided increasing appropriations, but the institution has received benefactions from many sources. Nine of the cottages represent donations by as many individual counties, women’s clubs and other organizations, and a number of gifts from wealthy industrialists of the State, have contributed to the expansion of the physical plant.  Among these benefactors are members of the Cannon family, the Reynolds, Cones, Swinks, Duke, Barnhardt, and other well-known names and families of North Carolina.”

Muslims segregated from French society in growing Islamist mini-states

A French flag flutters after being erected with flowers outside the Charlie Hebdo newspaper in Paris, Thursday, Jan.8, 2015, a day after masked gunmen stormed the offices of a satirical newspaper and killed 12 people. Protesters in some U.S. cities — repeating the viral online slogan "Je Suis Charlie" or "I Am Charlie"; demonstrated against the deadly terror attack on a Paris newspaper office, joining thousands around the world who took to the streets to rally against the killings. A backdrop to the massacre in Paris on Wednesday by self-professed al Qaeda terrorists is that city officials have increasingly ceded control of heavily Muslim neighborhoods to Islamists, block by block.

France has Europe’s largest population of Muslims, some of whom talk openly of ruling the country one day and casting aside Western legal systems for harsh, Islam-based Shariah law.

“The situation is out of control, and it is not reversible,” said Soeren Kern, an analyst at the Gatestone Institute and author of annual reports on the “Islamization of France.”

“Islam is a permanent part of France now. It is not going away,” Mr. Kern said. “I think the future looks very bleak. The problem is a lot of these younger-generation Muslims are not integrating into French society. Although they are French citizens, they don’t really have a future in French society.

They feel very alienated from France. This is why radical Islam is so attractive because it gives them a sense of meaning in their life.”

If Americans were honest with themselves they would acknowledge that the Republic is no more. We now live in a police state. If we do not recognize and resist this development, freedom and prosperity for all Americans will continue to deteriorate. All liberties in America today are under siege.

It didn’t happen overnight. It took many years of neglect for our liberties to be given away so casually for a promise of security from the politicians. The tragic part is that the more security was promised — physical and economic — the less liberty was protected.

With cradle-to-grave welfare protecting all citizens from any mistakes and a perpetual global war on terrorism, which a majority of Americans were convinced was absolutely necessary for our survival, our security and prosperity has been sacrificed.

A battle of the Reconquista from the Cantigas de Santa Maria

The march in Paris today is a pathetic and pointless globalist fart in the wind of the resurgent nationalism that will scour Europe in the next decade:

One million people were today preparing to march through the streets of Paris in tribute to the 17 victims of massacre in the city. British Prime Minister David Cameron was one of approximately 40 world leaders scheduled to take part in the solidarity march in the French capital. In a show of support for the French people, Mr Cameron was to stand alongside French President Francois Hollande in sympathy for the victims executed by terrorists....

Security services across the world have reportedly received intelligence that more terror attacks are ‘highly likely’, as a ring of steel was placed around the French capital for today’s march. There are fears that Al Qaeda and Islamic State-linked terror cells will be activated as the city prepares to host the rally this afternoon.

By mid-morning, approximately 2,000 police officers and 1,400 soldiers were deployed across Paris in an atmosphere described by one officer on the scene as ‘extremely tense’. French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said ‘exceptional measures’ were being taken to try and prevent further attacks, including deploying snipers on roofs.

"It is a war against terrorism, against jihadism, against radical Islam, against everything that is aimed at breaking fraternity, freedom, solidarity... There needs to be a firm message about the values of the republic and of secularism.

--French Prime Minister Manuel Valls
