Planned Parenthood Celebrates Black History Month... 13 million African American babies aborted since 1973; more aborted in NY in 2012 than were born

Via Billy

Planned Parenthood has proudly announced its new “99 Dream Keepers” initiative in honor of Black History Month. The campaign is designed to honor 99 African American leaders—one for every year that Planned Parenthood has been in existence.

Planned Parenthood, founded by outspoken eugenicist Margaret Sanger, has led the charge on promoting abortion among the African American population for decades. Since 1973, over 13 million black babies have been aborted, with African American women more than four times as likely to have an abortion than non-Hispanic white women (Hispanic women are 2.7 times more likely than whites). In 2012, there were more black babies killed by abortion in New York City than were born, while the total number of African American abortions comprised 42.4% of abortions performed in the city that year.

In one passage in the Dream Keeper's announcement—just after lauding the organization's work in "break[ing] down barriers to opportunity posed by poverty, racism, and sexism"—Planned Parenthood feels compelled to vaguely acknowledge its “complicated” history regarding the black community:

‘Outrage’ After Police Shoot Latino Allegedly Trying to Run Them Down in Stolen Car

Via Bill

  A she?

Denver police are facing a backlash from Latinos after shooting Jessica Hernandez during a “joy ride” in a stolen car when she allegedly tried to run them down.

According to the Los Angeles Times, 17-year-old “Hernandez and four other girls were cruising Denver’s middle-class Park Hill neighborhood in someone else’s Honda when they were spotted by police.” Police say “they ordered the girls out of the car, but that instead Hernandez tried to run them down.”

Officers shot Hernandez, who was then “dragged from the car…and handcuffed before she died.”

Some of those who were in the car say the vehicle did not careen toward police until Hernandez had been shot.

NC: Blue Ridge Assembly changes name of Robert E. Lee Hall

Balancing heritage with changing times, YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly has changed the name of its iconic Robert E. Lee Hall to a name derived from the word its founder uttered when he first saw this forested acreage near Black Mountain over a century ago.

In October, YMCA Blue Ridge’s board voted to change the name of Lee Hall to Eureka Hall. The decision weighed the “almost hallowed ground” that Lee Hall occupies in the assembly’s history against “the realization that the world is changing,” said Kurt Eckel, Blue Ridge’s president and CEO.

“Heritage is very, very important, and preserving that heritage is important,” Eckel said. But changing the name of the hall “is about who we are as an organization. And if a name on a building makes some we serve feel less than welcome, then taking the name down is the right thing to do. That was the board’s decision.”

Does Magna Carta Matter?

Via Iver

King John signs the Great Charter, engraving by Edmund Evans, "A Chronicle of England," p. 226

2015 marks the eight hundredth anniversary of Magna Carta. This “Great Charter” of England is seen by many Americans as central to the development of our constitutional tradition. Ironically, the English do not share this high opinion of the document. For most English, perhaps especially most English politicians and constitutional lawyers, Magna Carta holds little if any interest, let alone importance. The reasons are relatively easy to explain and helpful in understanding why Americans do—and should—continue to value what their English brethren ignore.

In essence, the constitutional tradition so powerfully advanced by Magna Carta was subjugated in England during the early modern era and, while some aspects of that tradition were revived in later years, it was in America that they achieved much greater importance and stability than in England. And it is in America where the constitutional protections we still enjoy are under attack as part of an assault on due process and the multiplicity of authorities buttressed by Magna Carta.

Palin Told Him Four Words: “YOU HAVE NO…”

Yet again Mr. President, you lie. You boasted that your exchange of an obvious traitor for a group of known terrorists hell bent on America’s destruction is because “we leave no man behind.” You lie.

You left an entire nation behind in the Rose Garden while celebrating a military deserter whose treasonous act you smiled at for all the world to see. You hold the proverbial hand of a traitor, but don’t have the character to do the same for deserving souls who consistently give their all to protect America. Have you spoken up for the likes of American sniper Chris Kyle or so many other fallen heroes? No. You have no guts for that.

Astute, commonsense patriots, you were right all along. I said months ago (June 2, 2014 post below), “You blew it again, Barack Obama.” Read Bristol’s post for truth about Bowe Bergdahl. (Bristol Palin article below)

As Bergdahl’s father spoke his scripted Arabic greeting while Barack Obama nodded approvingly, I’ve never been more ashamed of a President’s action than this arrogant, destructive exchange of another stone in our foundation of freedom – for evil men who hate our freedom. Our once solid rock upon which we were built turns to sand with astounding anti-American acts praised by Leftists. We will – we MUST – survive this President, but God help us survive the people who still support this.

Terrorism Works? UAE Suspends ISIS Attacks, Threatens To Pull Out Of Coalition

Via WiscoDave

Following the disgusting images of a Jordanian pilot being burned (allegedly) burned alive by ISIS yesterday, the US coalition against the terrorists appears to be faltering. As The NY Times reports, The United Arab Emirates, a crucial Arab ally in the American-led coalition against the Islamic State, suspended airstrikes against the Sunni extremist group in December, citing fears for its pilots’ safety. The UAE made it clear its pilots will not return to the fight until the Pentagon improve its search-and-rescue efforts, shifting the base of support from Kuwait to Iraq, after foreign minister, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, "let [Barabara Leaf] have it over this," the new American ambassador, why Central Command, in his country’s view, had not put proper assets in northern Iraq for rescuing downed pilots.

The U.S. and Iran are reportedly closing in on a deal that would allow the Ayatollah’s regime to keep the vast majority of its centrifuges running, while also allowing for Iran to be in charge of stabilizing its surrounding region.

This is one of those times when I just hate being right but we are at a critical inflection point when it comes to confronting ISIS. Here we are living in the 21st century dealing with a 7th century ideological enemy and most “leaders” are running around afraid to define this enemy as to whom it is.

Let us remember that ISIS is the rising deadly phoenix of a reconstituted al-Qaida in Iraq — which had been defeated. However, when you base national security on empty campaign promises and intransigent ideology combined with cowardly rhetoric, this is the end result.

No, I will not sugar coat this. A year ago, ISIS was referred to as a “jayvee” team by a president who barely attended 47 percent of his intelligence briefings — quite a different statistic from hitting the golf course. A year ago ISIS had barely 3,000 fighters, today it commands vast swaths of territory and has a global recruitment network.

DHS SECRETARY THREATENS US SHERIFFS: Obama Will Cut Their Grants If Congress Does Not Fund Amnesty

Let me get this straight – the president believes he has the authority to nullify federal laws that don’t serve his personal agenda, but if Congress dares to exercise it’s responsibility of controlling the purse strings, he will willingly hold public safety grants hostage just to get his way?

Mr. President, you don’t have to love the Congress we elected, but you do have to respect their role as established under the Constitution -and Mr. Johnson, please show some integrity and stop with the threats. Sheriffs don’t take kindly to them.

I am still working out a few details. I will have prices posted soon, as well as Glock model as well. This is unfinished, but should give you a pretty good idea of what it will be.

This is similar to the other earlier posting, however detail depth has been reduced so I only need one cedar 4x4 per holder. This is a solid piece. I took it outside and dropped it on the concrete a few times. Its solid.

It will ship with a mounting lug and hardware to attach to your post, but when I get this completed I will take more detailed photos of that.

Deadlier than American sniper Chris Kyle: With 173 kills, Marine is revealed as the world's deadliest

A Royal Marine has been revealed as the world’s deadliest sniper after 173 confirmed kills on Taliban targets.

Most of the hits took place during one six-month tour in Afghanistan – with 90 militants taken out in just one day.

At his most deadly, the sniper, who cannot be named for security reasons, was said to have killed a Taliban gunman every ten minutes.

IRS offers extra tax refunds to illegal immigrants granted amnesty by Obama

 http://legalinsurrection.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/Koskinen-2.jpg

IRS Commissioner John Koskinen confirmed Tuesday that illegal immigrants granted amnesty from deportation under President Obama’s new policies would be able to get extra refunds from the IRS for money they earned while working illegally, as long as they filed returns during those years.

Illegal immigrants who are granted the amnesty will be given official Social Security numbers, which means they can go back and amend up to three years of previous tax forms to claim the Earned Income Tax Credit, potentially claiming billions of dollars in additional payments they were ineligible for before the amnesty.

Mr. Koskinen said they will have to have already filed returns for those back-years, and there’s a statute of limitations that governs how far they can go back, but said the agency’s current interpretation of laws would allow them to claim the EITC credit retroactively.

“This is the problem you get into,” said Sen. Charles E. Grassley, an Iowa Republican who demanded a solution to the loophole. “The IRS’s interpretation of the EITC eligibility requirements undermines congressional policy for not rewarding those working illegally in the United States.

The Important Veterans’ Program Obama Wants to Cut…Just Six Months After He Signed it Into Law

The Obama administration outraged members of Congress on Monday by proposing to scale back a new program aimed at letting veterans access health care outside the VA system.

Last August, Congress passed a VA reform bill that created the Veterans Choice Program, which was supposed to be a way to speed up access to health care given the breakdown within the VA itself. President Barack Obama quickly signed it into law.

The OIP 3.8 Pound AR–SHOT Show 2015

The OIP weighs in at 3.8 pounds.

Sifting threw the latest and greatest rifles can be a daunting task. Put your self at a convention the size of SHOT Show and it can quickly become an impossible task. Its only when a weapon jumps out and smacks you in the face that you notice it. Walking through the lower floors of the show, I happened into just that smack in the face. Battle Arms Development. Cutting through the ridiculous costumes and epic Star Wars themed booth porn, I found the OIP–the lightest AR-15 I’ve ever held, and it is about to be in production.

The OIP Carbine  will be built by Bentwood Gunsmithing. Weight is the primary concern. “Ounces Into Pounds” represents a concept anyone who has ever carried a weapon can truly understand and appreciate. Coming in at 3.8 lbs. unloaded and without optics this rifle is a featherweight. Fully loaded with a lancer 20 round magazine and an Aimpoint H1, the rifle still comes in under 6 lbs. The OIP is the lightest AR 15 on the market. The plan is to produce the gun in limited numbers–100 rifles a year. The price for this flyweight: $2879.

The big flip: U.S.-backed fighters switch to ISIS

Members of the Free Syrian Army

Before it even begins, the U.S. training and equipping of Syrian opposition forces to fight the Sunni army ISIS appears to have become more difficult with the decision by a U.S.-backed Syrian rebel group to join an Islamist coalition closely associated with ISIS and the al-Qaida-affiliated Jabhat al-Nusra Front.

The Hazzm Movement, associated with the Free Syrian Army, is a secular Syrian insurgent group backed by the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency. It was one of the last of the non-jihadist opposition groups fighting Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in northern Syria.

Its leadership has decided to join the Islamist coalition of the Levant Front fighting around the key Syrian city of Aleppo, according to Arab news sources, including NOW Lebanon.

Alabama should remember ‘We Dare Defend Our Rights’ motto, push back against feds

Alabama Public Service Commissioner Chip Beeker

Alabama Public Service Commissioner Chris “Chip” Beeker on Tuesday opened the PSC’s monthly meeting by expressing his frustration with the federal government’s overreach in a variety of areas — from immigration to environmental policies.
When I was a child the federal government did not work to punish success and reward sloth. But, with the Washington, D.C. wealth re-distribution scheme, that is exactly what is currently happening.
When I was a child the federal government did not entrap people in a welfare state from which there is no escape. But, in a day when the federal government feeds, houses, and clothes people without providing an escape from the cycle of welfare… that is exactly what is and has been occurring in our nation.
When I was a child we would have never imagined that the federal government would send American citizens unemployment checks because they can’t find a job, but endorse the idea that people who come to this country illegally should be allowed to stay and take jobs that those same Americans could have.

Case for an Educated Postwar Black Electorate Debated

 https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/33/Freedman%27s_bureau.jpg
 1866 Pennsylvania election poster.

Radical Republican political hegemony in the postwar South depended upon the freedmen casting votes, despite their illiteracy and lack of education and experience in a republican form of government. These Republicans formed Union and Loyal Leagues in the South that would teach the freedmen to hate their white neighbors, vote against their interests, and cause irreparable racial wounds which remain today.

Bernhard Thuersam, www.Circa1865.com

Case for an Educated Postwar Black Electorate Debated:

“Chaplain Noble, who conducted literacy classes for the enlisted men of the 128th United States Colored Troops in Beaufort (an infantry of ex-slaves), related the outcome of a debate he arranged to “enliven” the class. The question was whether Negroes should be given immediate suffrage or whether they should learn to read first, with “the more intelligent” of the class clearly favoring the latter position “on the ground that you ought never to undertake a job unless you know how to do it.”

But those who learned less easily were in favor of immediate suffrage. One of the speakers — a black thick-lipped orator — commenced his speech as follows:

“de chaplain say we can learn to read in short time. Now dat may de with dem who are mo’ ready. God hasn’t made all of us alike. P’rhaps some will get an eddication in a little while. I knows de next generation will. We hasn’t had no chance at all. De most of us are slow and dull. Dere fo’ Mr. Chaplain, I tink we better not wait for eddication.”

Whether because of the potential logic of universal suffrage for the illiterate black majority, or because the difficulties of the chaplain’s lessons made suffrage based on literacy seem rather remote for some of the slow learners, the speaker’s sagacity brought decisive nods of approval from the majority of the audience.”

He advocated a law banishing any Southerner who should marry a Yankee.

 http://lsupress.org/assets/images/book-covers/1306.jpg

The author below predicted that had the American Confederacy won its independence, “it would have undoubtedly developed more toward a conservative aristocracy” and more like the Founders’ intended republic. The aversion to the mob-rule democracy of the North was a fundamental reason the South left the Union, and with the Founders’ Constitution firmly in hand.

Bernhard Thuersam, www.Circa1865.com

Casting Out Yankeeism

“There was a growing opinion among Southerners that a proper concept of eternal law was the bulwark of all liberty. Universal suffrage would never be able to discover and conserve this law. Universal suffrage in the North was “organized confiscation, legalized violence and corruption . . . a moral disease of the body politic.”

It was mob government, radical democracy, “the willing instrument of consolidation in the hands of an abolition oligarchy,” which had perverted the old Union. It was this the South was fighting against. The individual must be buried in the institution. The mob did not know what it was voting for, except to obtain money for doing it or to get a drink of whiskey. [John C.] Calhoun had recognized the tyranny of majorities and had sought remedies against them.

The South had never believed in democracy; it had worked with the Democrats in the North only to secure a place of power in the government. Most [government] positions should be appointive and not remunerative. Officers would serve without pay, if they were patriots. Now every petty sheriff, whiskey-drinking constable, and justice of the peace must be elected and get a fee. All of this is Yankeeism, which the South should cast out – all this universal suffrage – elective Judges – biennial Legislatures – and many other features of policy – all tending to degrade government and corrupt the people.”

In line with its conservatism, the Confederacy debated much the abolition of the naturalization laws which it had inherited from the old Union and which made possible the infiltration of masses of foreigners with their “dangerous European radical ideas.” Especially they would exclude Yankees. Representative John B. Clark of Missouri declared that he would “as soon admit to citizenship a devil from hell.” He advocated a law banishing any Southerner who should marry a Yankee.
