University of California Students Vote to Divest…From America

Via Joe

The University of California Student Association passed a resolution Sunday calling for the state university system to divest from the U.S. government.

The resolution was one of two that passed Sunday; the other, authored by pro-Palestinian students, called for the university to divest from companies that do business with Israel.

The U.S. resolution also called for the UC system to withdraw investments from other countries including Brazil, Egypt, Indonesia, Israel, Mexico, Russia, Turkey and Sri Lanka because they engage “in the violation of human rights” and “have violated the universal right ‘to life, liberty and security of person;’ ‘to education;’ to ‘privacy, family [and] home;’ ‘to own property, and … [not to] be arbitrarily deprived of property.”

In this clause, the students attending the state-sponsored university blasted the U.S. for violating the right “to education.”

Why Ukraine is None of Our Business

A huge rift between Europe and the US has opened up in regards to dealing with the situation in Ukraine. The US hawks led by Senator John McCain want to send arms to Ukraine, but German chancellor Angela Merkel sees things much differently.

Chancellor Merkel says Ukraine Crisis Won't be Solved by Military Means.

Speaking at the Munich security conference on Saturday, the German chancellor said she wanted to secure peace in Europe with Russia and not against it.

Germany has opposed aiding Ukrainian troops for fear of worsening the conflict, which has already cost more than 5,000 lives, but the idea has many supporters in Washington.
I cannot imagine any situation in which improved equipment for the Ukrainian army leads to President Putin being so impressed that he believes he will lose militarily,” Merkel said. “I have to put it that bluntly. (She's right for once.)

Apparently murder is now a standard of care in the medical field. Didn’t get the notice? Well, hang on because today’s stories are going get your pulse up.

Let’s start in Corpus Christi, Texas at Driscoll Children’s Hospital where LifeNews reports doctors refused to give treatment to a 12-year old until the parents went to court:
Following a severe asthma attack on January 14, doctors at Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi revived Joey Cronin but informed his parents they thought he had little hope to survive. Because of that, doctors refused to provide Joey with appropriate lifesaving medical treatment…

United States map of State Non-medical exemptions from school immunization requirements, 2015

All 50 states have legislation requiring specified vaccines for students.  Although exemptions vary from state to state, all school immunization laws grant exemptions to children for medical reasons. Almost all states grant religious exemptions for people who have religious beliefs against immunizations. Twenty states allow philosophical exemptions for those who object to immunizations because of personal, moral or other beliefs.

The Bonnie Blue

Scholars who have seriously studied the question of what Northerners and Southerners were fighting for during the so-called “Civil War” have generally concluded that slavery was not a major motivating factor on either side. “Just as most Northerners did not fight to end slavery,” explained the acclaimed historian James I. Robertson, Jr., “most Southerners did not fight to preserve it.” What, then, were they fighting for?

The contrast between two different versions of a popular patriotic song, “The Bonnie Blue Flag,” illustrates the intentions of both sides. Although the song was originally written for the South – adapted from a traditional Irish melody – it was later appropriated by the North. Stealing songs from the enemy was a common practice during the Civil War. For example, “The Battle Cry of Freedom” originated as a Northern song (“Down with the traitors and up with the stars!”) but was adapted to the Southern cause (“Down with the eagle and up with the cross!”).

Although there are different versions of the song, these lyrics were the most common for Southerners and Northerners:

NC: Officer kills 74-year-old man after family called cops to check on him at his home

Lefevers first knocked on Allen's door (pictured) at 10pm but there was no answer. Police then contacted the fire department to help them enter the house because they feared Allen might need 'emergency assistance'

A North Carolina officer shot dead a 74-year-old man whose concerned family had called the police and asked to check on him.

Officer Josh Lefevers arrived at the home of James Allen just before midnight on Sunday morning and announced he was entering the residence when Allen approached him with a handgun and refused to put it down, police said.

Lefevers then shot and killed him.

I think Olympic decathlon champion to senior citizen transexual might just be the strangest story I've ever heard. Good luck and good grace, Bruce.

Obama wanted Zelaya to be a commie dictator in Honduras.

He wanted to humiliate Poland and appease Putin with his missile defense quick draw withdraw.

He wanted Iran's Mullahs to defeat the student/populace uprising.

He wanted radical Islamists to replace Qaddafi in Libya and Mubarak in Egypt.

He hated that Honduras's Congress and Supreme Court and Egypt's military had different ideas from his Marxist vision.

But at least the Mullahs tortured and slew innumerable subjects and saved his bacon in Iran.
Since there is no real media in America, there likely will never be anyone to tell the tale how, at every fork, this monster was for the ugliest oppression In. Every. Fricking. Clash. Under. His. Watch.

"LAST HERK OUT OF VIETNAM"

Via Cousin Bill

 Lockheed C-130 Hercules 56-0518

The C-130A Hercules, tail # 56-0518, was the 126th built by Lockheed Aircraft corp. of Marietta, Georgia. It was accepted into the Air Force inventory on 23 August 1957.

It was assigned to the 314th Troop Carrier Wing at Sewart AFB, Tennessee, from 1964 to 1972. On 2 November 1972, it was given to the South Vietnamese Air Force as part of the Military Assistance Program. A few years later, the aircraft would be involved in a tremendously historic flight.

On 29 April 1975,this Herk was the last out of Vietnam during the fall of Saigon. With over 100 aircraft destroyed on the flight line at Tan Son Nhut Air Base, some of them still burning, it was the last flyable C-130 remaining. In a very panicked state, hundreds of people were rushing to get aboard, as the aircraft represented a final ticket to freedom.

People hurriedly crowded into the Herk, packing in tighter and tighter. Eventually, the loadmaster informed the pilot, Major Phuong, a South Vietnamese instructor pilot, that he could not get the rear ramp closed due to the number of people standing on it. In a moment of inspiration, Major Phuong slowly taxied forward, then hit the brakes. The loadmaster called forward again stating he had successfully got the doors closed.

In all, 452 people were on board, including a staggering 32 in the cockpit alone. Using a conservative estimate of 100 pounds per person, it translated into an overload of at least 10,000 pounds. Consequently, the Herk used every bit of the runway and overrun before it was able to get airborne.

The target was Thailand, which should have been 1:20 in flight time, but after an hour and a half, the aircraft was over the Gulf of Slam, and they were clearly lost. Finally, a map was located, they identified some terrain features, and they were able to navigate. They landed at Utapao, Thailand after a three and a half hour flight.

Ground personnel were shocked at what "fell out" as they opened the doors. It was clear that a longer flight would almost certainly have resulted in a loss of life. In the end, however, all 452 people made it to freedom aboard this historic C-130.

Upon landing, the aircraft was reclaimed by the United States Air Force and was assigned to two different Air National Guard units for the next 14 years. On 28 June 1989, it made its final flight to Little Rock Air Force Base, current home of the 314th Airlift Wing, and was placed on static display.

Should be considered a badge of honor. :)

Likely 2016 presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson Monday fired back at the Southern Poverty Law Center, which has included him in its "Extremist Files" because of his long-stated opinions against same-sex marriage.

"It is important for us to once again advocate true tolerance," the retired neurosurgeon said in a statement. "That means being respectful of those with whom we disagree and allowing people to live according to their values without harassment."

Further, said Carson, the nation is approaching the stage where "wrong is called right" at a time "when embracing traditional Christian values is equated to hatred" and "it is nothing but projectionist when some groups label those who disagree with them as haters."

Roy Moore orders ban on same-sex marriage licenses

Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore Sunday evening ordered the state's probate judges to not issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.

The outspoken social conservative told judges in a six-page letter that a federal judge's decision striking down the state's ban on same-sex marriage was not binding on state courts, and that it had caused "confusion" in the state.

Gallup CEO: I May 'Suddenly Disappear' for Telling Truth About Obama Unemployment Rate

This should be a huge story, but won't be covered truthfully in the MSM.

The head of the Gallup polling firm recently backpedaled on his claim that the official unemployment rate being trumpeted by the White House, Wall Street and the media is a "big lie."

Jim Clifton, the Chairman and CEO of Gallup, recently told CNBC that he was worried he might “suddenly disappear” if he disputed the accuracy of what the U.S. government is reporting as unemployed Americans, Wall Street on Parade reported.

“I think that the number that comes out of BLS [Bureau of Labor Statistics] and the Department of Labor is very, very accurate. I need to make that very, very clear so that I don’t suddenly disappear. I need to make it home tonight.”

Redneck Ethnic Cleansing Recalled

Via WRSA

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51W8FEzs-LL._SY344_BO1,204,203,200_.jpg

Few things vanish from public memory more quickly than government atrocities. When I was growing up on a mountainside across from the Shenandoah National Park in the 1960s, no one spoke of the injustices committed against the mountaineers brutally expelled from their homes in the 1930s to create that park. Instead, all that mattered in Front Royal, Virginia, my nearby hometown and the northern entrance of the park, was that the tourists the park attracted were good for local business.

Now, almost 80 years after the park was opened, more attention is finally being paid to the redneck ethnic cleansing committed by both the state and federal government. “Shenandoah: A Story of Conservation and Betrayal,” by Sue Eisenfeld, a Johns Hopkins University writing instructor, beautifully captures the mountain people and the official vendetta that made them refugees from their own land.
