William J. Lewinski Trains Police To Shoot First And Let Him Handle The Fallout

Via WRSA

NYT:

The shooting looked bad. But that is when the professor is at his best. A black motorist, pulled to the side of the road for a turn-signal violation, had stuffed his hand into his pocket. The white officer yelled for him to take it out. When the driver started to comply, the officer shot him dead.

The driver was unarmed.

Taking the stand at a public inquest, William J. Lewinski, the psychology professor, explained that the officer had no choice but to act.

“In simple terms,” the district attorney in Portland, Ore., asked, “if I see the gun, I’m dead?”

“In simple terms, that’s it,” Dr. Lewinski replied.

NC: Confederate monument vandalized for the second time in three weeks

Via Billy

A Confederate monument in Charlotte has been vandalized for the second time in three weeks.

A Confederate monument in Charlotte has been vandalized for the second time in three weeks.

The Confederate monument on North Kings Drive, between the Grady Cole Center and Memorial Stadium, was spray painted on both sides.

The vandalism on one side of the monument now reads: “The cause for which they fought – the cause of slavery – was wrong.” The other side has the names of the nine people killed in the June 2015 shooting at the Emanuel AME Church in Charleston.

This is the second time the Confederate monument has been vandalized. Last month, someone covered the words on the monument with cement.

The War of Words

 Andrew_Gordon_Magrath

The guns of the War Between the States fell silent a century and a half ago, but the verbal and written battles related to that great conflict have continued. In the more than 50,000 books, as well as the countless thousands of additional articles and discussions which have taken place during the intervening years , it would seem that every conceivable aspect of the War has already been covered many times over. Yet new facets, facts, and controversies involving military and social issues continue to appear, and those who are clad mentally in Confederate gray or Union blue continue to fire their virtual volleys across the Mason-Dixon Line. There were, of course, many causes; economic, cultural, political, and social, ranging from unfair taxation to slavery, that created the underlying basis leading to the conflict.   Much had also been written in both the South and the North to contribute to the ever-widening chasm that was developing between the two sections of the nation. Some Northern authors, such as Frederick Law Olmsted of New York, the architect of Central Park, presented a more balanced view of the differences dividing the country.

U.S. Pays Black Comedian to Deliver Anti-White Racist Tirade at Fed Agency

The U.S. government paid a controversial civil rights activist/comedian to deliver an anti-white racist tirade at a major federal agency during Black History month and Judicial Watch has obtained the disturbing transcript and the shocking video of the offensive political rant.

It took place at the United States Census Bureau earlier this year and the paid speaker was Dick Gregory, a self-professed humanitarian and drum major for justice who claims that his social satire changed the way white Americans perceive African American comedians.

But Gregory’s angry outburst at the Census Bureau was not funny to some employees and the agency was forced to explain that it will thoroughly review its procedures for selecting future speakers to “ensure their views are appropriate for the federal workplace.”

Donald Trump: No more anchor babies

Via Conservative Heritage Times

 trump

Donald Trump has been criticized repeatedly, including by other Republican presidential candidates, for lacking specific prescriptions and details to back up his many generalized policy declarations.

However, largely ignored is that Trump’s 2011 book, “Time to Get Tough: Making America #1 Again,” contains 10 chapters of proposals for enacting policy changes on a host of key issues, including a five-point plan on immigration reform.

In one striking clarion call, Trump used the book to demand an end to the interpretation of law that allows for so-called anchor babies, where the children of illegal-immigrant mothers who give birth on American soil automatically become U.S. citizens.

“Some four million anchor babies are now officially U.S. citizens,” Trump wrote in the publication. “This has to stop. The only other major country in the world that issues citizenship based on where one’s mother delivers her child is Canada. The rest of the world bases citizenship on who the kid’s parents are, which is of course the only sane standard.”

Lincoln’s Sable Arm in North Carolina

https://deadconfederates.files.wordpress.com/2013/01/wilsonscreek.png?w=720&h=409

The Battle of Wilson’s Creek

Former Lieutenant-Colonel Alfred Moore Waddell of Wilmington, North Carolina was a prewar Whig, newspaper editor and opposed to the secession of his State. On July 26, 1865 he addressed a colored audience at the Wilmington Theater, advising them on their newly-conferred liberty and subsequent duties and responsibilities — and that the white people of the South they grew up with were not their enemies, despite what the carpetbag element was telling them. At the time he made the address, the black soldiers occupying were a lawless element who were arming local blacks and inciting them to insurrection.
Bernhard Thuersam, www.Circa1865.com   The Great American Political Divide

Lincoln’s Sable Arm in North Carolina

“[Alfred Moore Waddell of Wilmington wrote Reconstruction Governor W.W. Holden that] The town had a Negro garrison, and with its large Negro population was in a state of great alarm. [He] wrote the governor in early June [1866] that outrages by the troops were of daily occurrence and that the effect of the presence of the colored troops on the Negro population was very dangerous. Arrests [by colored troops] were constantly made without any cause, and in one instance the soldiers were instructed, if the person arrested said or did anything, to run him through [with the bayonet]. There was little or no redress, as unusual latitude was given the colored troops.

In July the mayor and commissioners wrote describing the conduct of the Negroes and the apprehension felt by the white people of an insurrection. The Negroes had demanded that they should have some of the city offices and had made threats when they were refused. The governor replied that the citizens had acted rightly in refusing to appoint Negroes to office, as the right to hold office depended on the right of suffrage. He also assured them that if the Negroes attempted by force to gain control of public affairs or avenge grievances suffered at the hands of the whites, they would be visited by swift punishment; but if obedient to the laws, they would be protected.

[In] Beaufort, a party [of colored soldiers] from Fort Macon committed a brutal rape and were also guilty of attempting the same crime a second time. They were arrested in the town and the garrison of Fort Macon threatened to turn its guns upon the town if they were not surrendered. The condition of affairs there was so bad that General [Thomas] Ruger forbade any soldier to leave the fort except under a white officer.

Near Wilmington, Thomas Pickett was murdered and his two daughters seriously wounded by three soldiers from the Negro garrison at Fort Fisher in company of a Negro from Wilmington. In Kinston, a citizen was beaten by the soldiers, and upon Governor Holden’s complaint to General Ruger, the garrison was removed. Soon afterwards the governor notified General Ruger that a [railroad] car of muskets and ammunition had been side-tracked at Auburn, and while left unguarded had been opened by the freedmen and its contents distributed. The possessors of the arms then became the terror of the community.

Complaints of colored troops were also sent in from New Bern, Windsor, and other eastern towns. In September 1866, the last remaining regiment of Negro [troops] was mustered out, and that cause of discontent disappeared. The white [Northern] troops as a general thing, after the confusion incident to the surrender was over, behaved well. In Asheville, however, they were so disorderly and undisciplined that great efforts were made by the citizens to have them withdrawn.”

The 10 Most Beautiful, Charming Small Towns In North Carolina

Can't believe they left out Edenton which my mother called the most beautiful.  Little Washington also, though it has gone downhill in recent years.

1. New Bern

After visiting North Carolina, most people want to pack up their life and move here forever. As a native all I have to say is…can you really blame them? From the beach to the mountains…we have it all. Of course, North Carolina has its cities…but for those who like to live a more intimate, slow, and down-home life there are also some beautiful small towns just for you. Here are ten.

'Largest Confederate funeral in a century' says goodbye to a Southern black man

Via Kearney

Himself a US Army veteran, Hervey earned his degree from the University of Mississippi after his hitch in the service. It was then that he traveled to Great Britain where he enrolled at the University of London, where he eventually earned his Masters degree. While matriculating in England, Hervey also served as an intern in the British Parliament.

The Deep South doesn't get much deeper than Oxford, Mississippi. The same town that's home to the Ole Miss Rebels and the university's former mascot Colonel Reb, just held the largest Confederate funeral and procession the city has seen for over the last 100 years.
As reported by WTVA (of Tupelo, Miss.) and The Local Voice newspaper (of Oxford, Miss), both on Aug. 3, 2015, Anthony Hervey was laid to rest yesterday in what has been described as the largest Confederate funeral and procession seen in Oxford, Mississippi for at least the last century. Known in the press as a "black Confederate," Hervey was an unabashed and unapologetic supporter of everything Confederate States of America, to include the iconic Confederate battle flag.

Hundreds of blacks and whites joined together at Oxford's historic First Baptist Church to bid farewell to the political activist and best selling author. As The Local Voice noted, at the main doors to the church, family and friends first saw "H.K. Edgarton welcoming funeral attendees with an open heart. Another black Southern man with a passion for the Confederate flag."

The soldiers told their commanders that the shots were fired about 11:45 a.m. along Peret Tower Road, which is not located on the Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center property, Lt. Col. Christian Patterson said in a news release.

No injuries were reported and the incident was reported to the Perry County Sheriff's Department, Patterson said.

Sheriff Jimmy Dale Smith told multiple media outlets that deputies are searching for two men who are believed to have fired the shots from inside a red pickup truck. Investigators found a truck that matches the description, but have not found the two men, authorities said.

"The Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center is secure and all personnel are accounted for," Patterson said.

In 2001, the Taliban shamelessly dynamited the Bamiyan Buddhas, two of the largest such carvings of the ancient world. Built in the 6th century by monks who made their homes along the Silk Road, the Buddahs stood for millenia until fundamentalists removed them from the face of the Earth. Such ignorance still abounds. Over the past few months, the onslaught of the Islamic State has wrought the systematic destruction of cultural artifacts from Palmyra to Nineva, all because they were deemed "offensive" by a minority that if it had its way, would ensure the entire world would adhere to a dark and revisionist existence.

A professor at a local community college has been arrested after allegedly claiming an officer racially profiled her, when he didn’t.

On May 9, Minati Roychoudhuri, 32, of Storrs, was driving near exit 85 on Route 15 when she was pulled over. She was cited for failure to drive in the established lane.

A shocking video shows how a third-grader in public school, who suffered from ADHD and other special needs, was shackled above his elbows by a police officer as he writhed and screamed in agony.

“Now you can either behave the way you know you’re supposed to, or you can suffer the consequences,” Kenton County Deputy Sheriff Kevin Sumner said as he stared down at the sobbing boy.

The boy, age 8, is identified only as S.R. in a federal lawsuit filed by the American Civil Liberties Union, the Children’s Law Center, and Dinsmore & Shohl.  A second victim, a 9-year-old girl identified as L.G., faced similar treatment by the same school resource officer.

Democrats Block Defunding Of Planned Parenthood: But the scandal cannot be ignored.

Via Michael

In a late-afternoon vote, the effort by Republicans to strip federal funding from abortion-provider Planned Parenthood was blocked by Senate Democrats in a 53 to 46 vote that failed to meet the three fifths majority required to move forward.

The 60 votes were needed to end a Democrat filibuster. Even if that had happened, even if the bill passed the Senate and the House, the White House had already promised to veto it.

Republican lawmakers have already vowed that the fight over Planned Parenthood is just beginning  The next step will be to try to defund abortion provider Planned Parenthood through the budget process, a move that is already generating a war of words over a government shutdown.

Though mostly along party lines, the vote did have some crossovers. Democrat Senators Joe Donnelly Joe Manchin voted for the bill. Manchin had this to say about the defunding effort:

I got home from the bar and fell into bed soon after Saturday night bled into Sunday morning. I didn’t wake up until three police officers barged into my apartment, barking their presence at my door. They sped down the hallway to my bedroom, their service pistols drawn and leveled at me.

It was just past 9 a.m., and I was still under the covers. The only visible target was my head.

In the shouting and commotion, I felt an instant familiarity. I’d been here before. This was a raid.

The Islamic State's Campaign Plan

  • ISIS wants to trigger this final conflict by unleashing attacks on Indian soil. If the U.S. comes to India's aid, ISIS would declare a global Jihad, calling upon a billion Muslims to heed the call.
  • Despite the propaganda onslaught by ISIS, Indian authorities have apparently not yet grasped the true nature of the conflict between ISIS and India that is unfolding before their eyes. As ISIS raises an army among Indian Muslims and publicizes its apocalyptic goals for the Indian subcontinent, some in the Indian establishment still hope to lure the ISIS rank-and-file with government-funded welfare programs.
  • "Accept the fact that this caliphate will survive and prosper until it takes over the entire world and beheads every last person that rebels against Allah. ... This is the bitter truth, swallow it." — The Islamic State.
