If you would like to weigh in on this issue as a private individual, send the requested information to Ann by tomorrow, June 9.  NAFSR has already taken a position on this topic in our joint letter with the Public Lands Foundation.

As a former BLM State Director, I encountered many dangerous examples of anti-government extremism.  I would like to get as many senior land management agency officials to sign on to the attached document as possible since many of us have lived through the difficulties of having our employees threatened, seen our budgets go to repair vandalism caused by anti-government extremists, and seen efforts to work collaboratively with local communities high jacked by fear and mistrust.

While I have contacts for some former colleagues, I would appreciate you contacting your colleagues who are senior land management agency officials who no longer work for the federal government, and ask them to join me.  Please share the attached submission and if they would like to be added to this sign on, have them send me their name, agency affiliation and title, phone number and email address (as requested by the Committee) so I can add their name to this submission.  We would be submitting this as individuals, not as members of an organization.

I need this information by June 9th so I can compile the submission.  Thanks for your help and feel free to contact me if you have questions.
