Pier Weekly 09/16/16

An impromptu photo session due to the Beach Patrol approaching. :)

Akai has really gotten good and in a short time.

Akai sleeping after surfing for 4 hours, while Christine and I had a few beers.

Close match even with the weight difference.

Definitely beats Catch & Release. :)

  1. Thanks Brock!!!!
These photos bring back my Good Times down at Topsail on the Jolly Roger Pier fishin' for "Spots" and just "Fishin'" with Peggy!!! I can never forget the sights the smells of the water , the sounds of the "Wooooshhhh" the waves would make as they closed on the beach!! Pure, shear "MUSIC!!!" Again, Thanks.....

    6. Hot, Dry, Flat, Dusty ass West Texas! I'm going to try to get over to Myrtle the end of October and Charleston in November for Ship's reunion and visit kin people. I might just slide up the coast on the way back! I'll bring the Rebel Yell!

    9. You can't fish for them off the pier, but you sure can off the beach beside it and I've seen some nice ones caught this week although they lose about half.

  2. Made it to Myrtle beach once when I was in the 82nd. Fun place to do girl watching but a bit of a drive for a weekend pass. Enjoy the sun and sand Brock.

    1. :) I remember entering the gate at Ft. Bragg on the bus in 1967 at dawn after enlisting in Richmond. I was met with a sign that stated "Welcome to Ft. Bragg, home of the 82nd Airborne" and I thought, what in the hell have I've gotten myself into this time. :)
