Jackie O. Disdained Martin Luther King

Not the first I have read of this, but the best.
===========================================

Jacqueline Kennedy (Onassis), wife of assassinated president John F. Kennedy, was piquantly disgusted with the person of Martin Luther King, Jr. This, according to ABC News. In a special series historical interviews (from 1964) to be broadcast beginning Tuesday, September 13, 2011. The interviews were with Arther Schlesinger (Sr.).

Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis

The testimony is also attested by London Mail (Online), and New York Daily News.

“That man’s terrible,” Jackie Kennedy said. “Phoney.” “Martin Luther King is really a tricky person.” “I just can’t see a picture of Martin Luther King without thinking, you know, that man’s terrible.”

Is this a remarkable testimony? Not really. Martin Luther King was not an upright man in many people’s eyes. Theodore Pappas considers King quite the plagiarist, as do many others. Jackie said that her husband, the President, told her what J. Edgar Hoover had told him.

The widowed first lady soured on King as a result of secret wiretaps arranged by FBI director J. Edgar Hoover. Hoover had told President Kennedy that King tried to arrange a sex party while in town for the March on Washington, and told Robert Kennedy that King had made derogatory comments during the president’s funeral, Mrs. Kennedy recalled.

Will the Second Amendment Come Under Fire this Month?

Within the next month, Congress will be taking actions that will impact our Second Amendment rights.

Here’s what we’re facing. On or about September 30, Congress will consider a “continuing resolution” (CR) to fund the government from October 1, 2011 to September 30, 2012.

Well, you can be sure about this -- when it comes to funding the government, any bill passed by Congress will NOT be neutral on the Second Amendment:

* Either the CR will fund the anti-gun ObamaCare program … or it will explicitly prohibit ObamaCare from being funded.

* Either it will fund ATF’s illegal efforts to register multiple sales of long guns in the southwest … or it will explicitly prohibit those activities from being funded.

* Either it will fund the Obama administration’s illegal efforts to block the importation of shotguns and rifles … or it will explicitly prohibit these bans from being funded.

* Either it will fund negotiations at the United Nations to produce a small arms treaty that will license firearms, ban semi-autos, and ban tiny modifications of firearms … or it will explicitly prohibit those negotiations.

Barack Obama can veto the CR. If he does so, his wretched administration will be shut down.

But the House of Representatives also has a veto, as it can refuse to send an anti-gun CR to the Senate. So the message is that Congress needs to reject any CR which:

* Does not defund ObamaCare;

* Does not defund the illegal multiples sales regs;

* Does not defund the illegal shotgun and rifle import bans;

* Does not defund the UN negotiations to license American gun owners.

We can tell you right now that there will be some congressmen who will say: “Sure, I voted to fund ObamaCare. But that doesn't mean I support ObamaCare.”

That is a lie.

There are congressmen who will say: “Sure, I voted to fund the registration of long guns. But that doesn’t mean I support the registration of long guns.”

That is a lie.

There are some who will say: “Sure, I voted to fund the bans on importing shotguns and rifles. But that doesn't mean I support those import bans.”

That is a lie.

And there are some who will say: “Sure, I voted to fund UN negotiations to register gun owners. But that doesn’t mean I support gun registration.”

That is a lie.

ACTION: Contact your congressman. Tell him to stake out a position early and publicly that he will oppose any CR which does not defund ObamaCare, the illegal long gun multiple sales regs, the illegal shotgun and rifle bans, and the UN negotiations to produce a treaty which will register American gun owners.

Funny how he thinks that private property means something when it's HIS union halls parking lot, but it's Ok about breaking into private property and holding hostages while they destroy 10,000 tons of grain.

View their political site at link below. They’re using 9-11 as a political tool. Hell, I spent time in the military risking my life, but not complaining about it or using it for political purposes. If your going to be a fireman or a cop, that’s your job and you get a paycheck for it

More American are killed in MVA crashes while driving a car. Number one cause of death is heart disease in this country. We’re all heroes at doing what we do best, no matter what your occupation is.

The award for vilest politicization of the tenth anniversary of 9/11 goes to the AFL-CIO. The organization has chosen to hijack the moment and turn it into a plea for anti-austerity union activism. Consider this message from AFL-CIO president, Richard Trumka, posted on its website.

His big metaphor is doors. On 9/11, first responders ran through “doors to danger and became America’s everyday heroes.” True enough.

Then: “Doors opened within us to each other. We came together. We flew the flag. We comforted one another. In our grief, we found the best in ourselves.”

But, wouldn’t you just know it: “other doors opened, too—doors to hate, suspicion of ‘others’ and self-centered greed. Our fear was twisted into something much more dangerous.” Can you guess who opened those doors? “Wealthy CEOs, anti-government extremist front groups and frothing talk show hosts—from the Rush Limbaughs and Glenn Becks to the Koch brothers, Karl Rove’s American Crossroads group, Americans for Prosperity, the Club for Growth, FreedomWorks and the American Legislative Exchange Council—also pushed open the door to hate.”

Trumka left out the doors of tragedy exploitation. The ones that take him from 9/11 heroism to the Koch brothers, Rush Limbaugh, and Karl Rove in the span of a few paragraphs. Here’s the sickening finale.

I remember that other door that opened on 9/11—the door to our better selves, to our understanding that we are one and our values require us to care for one another.

That’s what sent 347 firefighters to their death at the Twin Towers 10 years ago. It’s also what sent firefighters to stand with teachers in Wisconsin even though Gov. Scott Walker had exempted them from his attack on public employees. It’s what moves employed people now to demand good jobs for the 26 million Americans who are looking for work. It’s what gives us the courage to take on a crumbling economy and the politicians preaching austerity and ignoring our jobs crisis—to take them on and say, “We are America. We are better than this. And we are one.”

To respond substantively would be to join in the political exploitation of 9/11. Luckily, the above is self-shaming and self-discrediting, and requires no further comment.

Where's The Confidence?

VERBATIM POST
===================

That's all I hear today in the media - that the market has lost confidence.

Yep.

Why have people lost confidence? Was it an accident? NO.

Was it an intentional act? Yes.

Who's responsible? That's easy.

  • Congress. We know why the meltdown happened in 2008. Financial institutions sold crap to people claiming it was "Grade AAA" chocolate. It was, well, crap and this was discovered when the first bite was taken. There has been no penalty assessed for doing this.

  • The Banks. They repeatedly said "we're well-capitalized" and then blew up. Bear and Lehman among them. There was no penalty assessed for doing this.

  • The President. He said he didn't come to Washington to protect the banksters. Then he did exactly that. In short, he lied. Even after we discovered over a hundred thousand perjured documents filed in foreclosure cases, there was no criminal penalty assessed for doing this.

  • The President (again). He said he'd cut the deficit in half by the end of his first term. Instead he more than doubled it and last night put forward a demand for yet more unpaid-for spending that will guarantee more than a trillion in deficits on a forward basis, along with essentially defunding Social Security and Medicare taxes while both programs are deeply in the red. In short he's driving the nation straight toward ruin exactly like a junkie demands more and more drugs even though he's aware that if he continues he will certainly die.

  • Ben Bernanke. He's been wrong about virtually every prognostication he has ever made about the economy, going back to 2006. He also lied when he told Congress that "The Federal Reserve will not monetize the debt", just months before doing exactly that. There has been no penalty assessed for doing this.

  • Wall Street itself. HFT abuse is the stuff legends are made of. It's a true outrage, really. The bid and offer manipulation on a daily basis is chronicled by Nanex; I've also written about it repeatedly. Market manipulation is illegal. There has been no penalty assessed for doing this.

  • The Banks (again) are lying about their balance sheets. We know this is a fact because in virtually every case where the FDIC has taken over a bank, from big to small, it has resulted in monstrous losses against claimed "asset values" on the balance sheet, sometimes on values claimed just weeks before in public filings. There has been no penalty assessed for doing this.

  • Case-Schiller and Zillow both claim $9 trillion in residential property value losses. The Fed claims $500 billion, approximately, in decreased mortgage debt. The rest cannot be found; the presumption must be that the banks are hiding trillions in bad paper in mortgages alone! Is there another explanation? Not really. Sure, some of this loss is equity, but not $8.5 trillion out of $9 trillion. There has been no penalty assessed for doing this.

  • Federal Regulators. They got caught allowing IndyMac to backdate deposits. The really ugly part of it is that the same people were involved in that as were involved in the same offense during the S&L crisis! The OCC sued to block state-level predatory lending statutes that would have largely cut off the housing bubble. That's not idiocy, it's rank corruption.

So on what basis should we expect "confidence" in the markets, especially when the markets all clear those those very same banks that pulled the scams, appear to be still pulling the scams, and the governments and regulators are still enabling the scams while the market has every reason to believe that the scam won't hold up and it will all fly apart on the back of Greece defaulting?

There's your answer.

ATF EMAILS

=============

A third gun linked to "Operation Fast and Furious" was found at the murder scene of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry, new documents obtained exclusively by Fox News suggest, contradicting earlier assertions by federal agencies that police found only two weapons tied to the federal government's now infamous gun interdiction scandal.

Sources say emails support their contention that the FBI concealed evidence to protect a confidential informant. Sources close to the Terry case say the FBI informant works inside a major Mexican cartel and provided the money to obtain the weapons used to kill Terry.

Unlike the two AK-style assault weapons found at the scene, the third weapon could more easily be linked to the informant. To prevent that from happening, sources say, the third gun "disappeared."

Obama's Smashing Good Deal

I didn't watch Obama's job speech. He has already revealed his hand and anything he has to say is going to be nothing but a way to shift more money to his campaign through the union money laundering system already set up, already tested via the last stimulus package that was supposed to keep unemployment from reaching 8%. All of that money went to support corporations who employ union labor and to make payroll checks to public employees who are members of a union. The money just makes a U-turn at the union and fills his coffers. Even an Eric Holder Justice Department could trace that fraud. HEH!:)
