North Carolina CCH Reciprocity Clarification!
That got a lot of comments! Here is the deal. It used to be that "if you show me yours, I will show mine". Meaning that if you accepted a NC CCH, we would accept yours. If you did not we did not. That is gone now."North Carolina will honor any valid Concealed Carry Handgun Permit from another state, regardless whether the state recognizes the North Carolina Concealed Carry Permit".I did not mean to cause any confusion! States we had Reciprocity with will remain in effect!
It is a minor change on one level and yet not on another!
I'd Rather Be in Carolina

Liberty University OKs Concealed Guns on Campus
Verbatim Post
Liberty University has “enacted a policy allowing visitors, students and staff who have concealed weapons permits to carry guns on campus.” The policy replaces an earlier provision that is common to most colleges and universities of a complete ban of firearms on university grounds. Students can’t even keep a firearm locked in the trunk of a student’s car.
Liberty Chancellor Jerry Falwell, Jr. had this to say about the new policy change:
“It adds to the security and safety of the campus and it’s a good thing. If something — God forbid — ever happened like what happened at Virginia Tech, there would be more than just our police officers who would be able to deal with it.”
There are many people who believe the best way to stop gun crime is to outlaw the possession of guns. With no guns, the argument goes, there won’t be any gun deaths. )I guess the same thing could be said about 40,000+ automobile deaths that happen every year in the United States.) Of course, criminals don’t pay attention to gun laws. In fact, they don’t pay attention to any laws. There are laws against stealing, rape, and murder, and yet there are still people who steal, rape, and murder. That’s why they’re called criminals. There are strict laws against certain drugs and illegal immigrations, and yet we have a lot of both.
The Luby’s restaurant massacre took place on October 16, 1991, in Killeen, Texas. George Hennard drove his pickup truck into the cafeteria and shot 23 people to death while wounding another 20, subsequently committing suicide by shooting himself. It was the deadliest shooting rampage in American history until the April16, 2007 Virginia Tech massacre that left 33 dead, including the gunman.
Responding to the massacre [at the Luby’s cafeteria], the Texas Legislature in 1995 passed a shall-issue gun law, which requires that all qualifying applicants be issued a Concealed Handgun License. . . .
The law had been campaigned for by Dr. Suzanna Hupp, who was present at the massacre where both of her parents were shot and killed. She later expressed regret for obeying the law by leaving her firearm in her car rather than keeping it on her person due to the fact that it could have cost her chiropractic license. She testified across the country in support of concealed handgun laws, and was elected to the Texas House of Representatives in 1996. The law was signed by then-Governor George W. Bush.
I suspect that some lone shooter or group of terrorists will think twice about going on the campus of Liberty University to cause mischief or worse.
Here’s a caveat written by Godfather columnist Bojidar Marinov: “This is good news but it is not enough. Many of the massacres happen within the buildings and especially classrooms. Not much will be achieved by disarming students and professors where guns are most needed.”
The Fort Hood shooting is a case in point. Nidal Malik Hasan killed 13 (one of whom was pregnant). Thirty others, including the shooter, were wounded and required hospitalization. As a matter of practice, Fort Hood personnel do not carry weapons on the base. Military weapons are only used for training or by base security, and personal weapons must be kept locked away by the provost marshal.
Was a 5th Grader Kicked Out of His Elementary School for Saying a Local Newscaster Resembles Barack Obama?
MOREThe guy dressed in the suit and tie, smiling and shaking a bevy of hands, caught Grayson Thomas’ eye.
Grayson wasn’t alone. Teachers and other students at Stevenson Ranch Elementary School couldn’t take their eyes off the lunchtime visitor, either.
Grayson, a fifth-grader at the campus near Santa Clarita, Ca., noticed the gentleman’s outward characteristics: Tall and lean. Good looking. Charismatic. Charming. Energetic.
Then he made a fatal error: Grayson, 11, pulled a little “made you look” joke on a schoolmate seated next to him, saying something along the lines of “Obama’s visiting our school today,” referring to the magnetic figure holding court nearby.
It wasn’t Obama, of course. But from Grayson’s point of view, Chris Schauble—morning co-anchor of KTLA 5′s TV news program in Los Angeles—did possess a demeanor and countenance similar to the president’s.
According to Grayson’s dad, Darren Thomas (who provided the previous details), what happened next was scary: Word of his son’s Obama-Schauble comparison spread to Schauble’s daughter, Shelbi, who was sharing lunch with her newsman father. And Shelbi was uncomfortable with Grayson’s statement, saying it felt racist.
Then a teacher was summoned, then the principal, Candace Fleece, then the Newhall School District superintendent, Marc Winger. And that very afternoon, Nov. 4, Grayson was kicked out of Stevenson Ranch for good, his father says, for implying that all black men look alike.
The New Jersey incident. What motivates bureaucrats.

Bureaucrats declare that water does not prevent dehydration (Not from The Onion)
As Glenn Reynolds would say, we're in the very best of hands. European edition.
EU bans claim that water can prevent dehydration
Brussels bureaucrats were ridiculed yesterday after banning drink manufacturers from claiming that water can prevent dehydration.EU officials concluded that, following a three-year investigation, there was no evidence to prove the previously undisputed fact.I'm not sure what's worse: Their conclusion? The 2-year jail sentence for noncompliance? Or the fact that they spent 3 years researching the issue?
Producers of bottled water are now forbidden by law from making the claim and will face a two-year jail sentence if they defy the edict, which comes into force in the UK next month.
I understand the 17th century's Robert Cardinal Bellarmine agreed with the ruling but conceded that it would be permissible for bottled water manufacturers to claim that water quenches thirst but only in purely hypothetical terms, never as a real physical phenomenon.
Economy Bounces Back? We don't believe this. Do you?
This is part of a kind of directed history that we've been reporting, in our view. Suddenly the US numbers are showing an uptick. Really?Nope. It's likely just part of a larger narrative, as it affects the US economy and politics. The idea is apparently to re-elect Barack Obama (left) by reporting on good economic news even when it's not there.
But we think it runs even deeper than that. Many electoral vote-registering machines are computerized by now and many have no verifiable "paper trail." This means that the elites can simply create such a narrative and then elect whomever they wish to. During the Bush voter fraud was terrible, in our view. Has it improved? Here's an October 2011 letter to the Baltimore Sun:
Lack of paper trail leads to concern over Laurel's new voting machines ... I feel some concern about the "new" voting machines being introduced in the Nov. 1 elections in Laurel. These ELECTronic 1242 machines provide no paper trail, or any voter-verifiable record that one's vote has been properly recorded. Lack of a paper trail also presents difficulties in the event of needing a recount. (The only printout available seems to be the totals from each machine at poll closing.)
In doing some Internet research on these machines, I have found documentation that during their usage in many areas of the country over the last 20 years they have often been involved in erroneous vote counts. A notable incident was in Franklin County, Ohio where phantom votes appeared in the 2004 presidential totals, with President Bush receiving 4,258 votes and John Kerry receiving 260 in a precinct with only 638 voters.
See, it's still happening. Yesterday, in an article entitled "Parallels Between Early 20th Century and Present Are Scary," we laid out a roadmap that showed a good deal of similarity between the early 20th century and the early 21st.
It seems to us that the power elite is still operating from the same playbook. The idea is to crash economies (via central banking), start wars and generally make people so miserable that they will demand more government solutions. This happened in the 20th century. In the 21st, President Obama is to play the role of FDR, and in fact, he has encouraged comparisons.
However, in order to make this scenario viable, Obama apparently needs to get reelected. And in order to do that, the economy has to seem better, even if it is not. This is the false-problem paradigm that we see playing out in Europe as well. Europe is in terrible shape, but now the technocrats are being put in charge.
School head on rape claim: 'boys will be boys'
After having been encouraged by a classmate, a female student went to the principal of the high school to report that she had been raped by another male student in February and March 2011.
The student reported the school to the Schools Inspectorate (Skolinspektionen), which has now forwarded the complaint to the Equality Ombudsmannen (Diskrimineringsombudsmannen - DO).
According to the complaint filed with the Schools Inspectorate, the student was told by the principal:
"You file a police report if you want, although this is not a prioritized case as no serious crime has been committed."
The principal then told the student, who was accompanied by another member of staff at the time:
"Guys do this kind of thing, you have to get used to it."
According to the report, when the girl's mother called the principal to discuss her comments, the principal told her that her daughter "should concentrate on her studies" and "to stop focusing on these trivialities".
The girl eventually stopped attending school as she felt she had not received support from the teachers or the principal despite having filed a police report alleging rape and attempted rape in March 2011.
The girl alleges that from that time until the break for the summer holidays, she was subjected to periodical harassment from fellow students and some individual teachers at the school.
The girl has now changed to another school in the county.
Spray-On ‘NeverWet’ Coating Could Waterproof Gadgets
Imagine being able to take your camera/phone/e-reader to the beach, or use it out in the rain, and never worry about getting it wet. Imagine further that you could do this with your existing gadgets, just by spraying them with a magic waterproof coating.
That’s the promise of NeverWet, a “superhydrophobic” coating that will repel just about anything. Water rolls off NeverWet-coated surfaces like glass beads on a windowpane. Syrups and other sticky, viscous fluids slide off like water. Here’s a video of the stuff in action:
The sales pitch is that objects coated in NeverWet can “never get wet.” The claims seem to be truthful: a small panel was left in a bucket of seawater at the NeverWet offices for a year. One side was coated in NeverWet. When the panel was removed, this side came out dry, and still water repellent.
VIDEO: What About the French Revolution?
We are increasingly believers in "directed history" – history that's coordinated by a power elite intent on creating one-world government. We've written a good deal about the directed history we're seeing as regards Occupy Wall Street. We think that the movement has been set up to be divisive and ultimately to reinforce the power of the state. Out of chaos ... order.
That's probably the reason the movement has no agenda. The people at the top who are manipulating the movement know what they want to achieve and are doing so in order to trigger increased social discord. The ultimate aim, perhaps, is to enhance world government. We've explained the parallelism here: VIDEO: Parallels Between Early 20th Century and Present Are Scary.
But there are even more parallels. The Tea Party movement in America was organic to begin with. It was a bit like the American Revolution. But having observed the American Revolution, the power elite of the day (from what we can tell) fomented the French Revolution.
That's how long the modern conspiracy to set up world government has been going on, in our view – about 300 years, maybe since the founding of the Iluminati. The American Revolution, manipulated as it may have been, ultimately was in a sense anti-government and focused on individual freedom.
House GOP challenge Border Patrol agent’s sentence
Thirty-seven Republican House members are challenging the two-year prison sentence being served by a U.S. Border Patrol agent for his conduct in the arrest of a drug-smuggling suspect, while a dozen other lawmakers are pressing Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. to explain his role in the botched “Fast and Furious” weapons investigation.
In a letter Thursday to President Obama, the 37 members — led by Rep. Duncan Hunter of California — described the prosecution of agent Jesus E. Diaz Jr. as “unfair and excessively disproportionate” and suggested it set a “dangerous precedent” that could place other agents and the public at risk.
“Border Patrol agents must be able to appropriately and effectively protect our nation´s border without the threat of federal prosecution hanging over their head,” the letter said. “We certainly do not condone the use of excessive or unreasonable force, however, the facts in this case do not indicate the drug smuggler was harmed during the arrest or that excessive force was used.
“The prosecution of Agent Diaz by the U.S. Attorney´s Office for the Western District of Texas, also responsible for putting other agents behind bars, is a disservice to the men and women of the Border Patrol and the mission they undertake,” it stated.
Captain: Robert Wagner responsible for Natalie Wood’s death
A yacht captain said on national TV Friday that he lied to investigators about Natalie Wood’s mysterious death 30 years ago and blames the actress’ husband at the time, Robert Wagner, for her drowning in the ocean off Southern California.
The circumstances of her death remain one of Hollywood’s enduring mysteries and continue to create renewed intrigue, with homicide detectives unexpectedly re-opening the case Thursday that had long been classified as a tragic accident.
A Los Angeles County sheriff’s detective will speak to reporters Friday about the decision to take another look at the Oscar-nominated actress’ nighttime demise in the chilly waters off Southern California on Nov. 29, 1981. Wood drowned after spending several hours drinking on Catalina Island and a yacht with Wagner, fellow actor Christopher Walken and the ship’s captain, Dennis Davern.
Davern, skipper of the Splendour, told NBC’s “Today” show on Friday that he made mistakes by not telling the truth about events leading to the Thanksgiving weekend death and had urged Los Angeles County sheriff’s homicide investigators to reopen the case.
“Was the fight between Natalie Wood and her husband Robert Wagner what ultimately led to her death?” show host David Gregory asked.
“Yes,” Davern replied.
Ron Paul: Obama health care more fascism than socialism
It's doubtful whether anyone opposes President Obama's health care law more than Ron Paul, but the Texas congressman said Wednesday that the sweeping legislation is not socialized medicine — contrary to claims made by his fellow presidential contenders Michele Bachmann and Herman Cain.Instead, Mr. Paul called the Affordable Care Act “corporate medicine leading toward fascism,” insisting that his definition was much worse.
“It's not socialized medicine, but it's characteristic and creates the same things,” he said in comments before the Congressional Health Care Caucus, which invited him to speak on Capitol Hill.
“You always have shortages on socialized medicine, but you always have shortages when you have government intervention — like we do now.
“You keep the businessman involved, but the businessman makes a lot of profit and he's in bed [with] and gets protection from the government,” said Mr. Paul, one of a handful of doctors who serve in Congress. “That's not a very good alternative. They're both very bad and some of the bad aspects would overlap.”
Paul Introduces Amendment To Formally End War In Iraq
U.S. Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., on Thursday announced that he had introduced an amendment to formally end the war in Iraq. The amendment was attached to the Defense Department's authorization bill, which provides funding for fiscal year 2012.
"On several occasions this year, Congress has been ignored or remained silent while the President committed our forces to combat," Paul said in a statement. "It is my intention to urge Congress to reclaim its constitutional authority over the decision to go to war, or to end a war — it is one of the body's most important powers."

Afrikaners in a genocidal hell – 5 European MPs warn
Five Dutch and Euro-MPs slam ruling ANC-regime for its dismal failure to protect the Afrikaners and Boers: Spanish political party also joins this coalition:
Nov 18 2011 - In a remarkable week which could be the start of a snowballing antipathy towards the disastrous ANC-governance in rapidly-deteriorating South Africa, five parliamentarians in Europe have used the forthcoming 'Global Warming' conference in Durban to slam the SA regime for the 'disastrous political climate' they have created. A strong note of deep concern was sounded particularly about the Afrikaner/Boer minority’s security: the 3million Afrikaners now find themselves teetering on the edge of all-out genocide. see and see.
The Spanish political party PX Catalunya’s executive-member Mr Juan Montero, also let it be known today that they share these concerns, and are in coalition with the Vlaams Belang, Lega norte and FPÖ parties over this issue – although they do not as yet have political representation in the European parliament. He writes me: “Last Sunday I was with Filip Dewinter (VB) in Barcelona, I'm trying that when our party gets representation in the parliament, and we will also speak up against the murders of white farmers in South Africa, we will raise our concerns over the Holocaust of the Boers.
By Adriana Stuijt, Dokkum, the Netherlands. All five MPs – from Belgium, Austria, Italy and the Netherlands – have emphasized their growing concerns over the precarious situation in which the Afrikaner/Boer minority is finding itself – one describing it as ‘a living hell’. They also noted the warning issued by the non-governmental organisation in Washington DC, Genocide Watch, which recently placed the Afrikaners and Boers as being in the penultimate stage of all-out genocide.
The Humber Ironside recce car
Queen Elizabeth emerging from an armored vehicle ... A shot from some Dieselpunk movie?
No. It's a news photo taken in 1941. The Humber Ironside recce car had a limited luxury version. Here's the story of "basic" Ironsides and their Royal siblings, as told by the Reconaissance Corps.
The "Light Armoured Car" class had been evolved of necessity in June 1940 in order to provide as rapidly as possible armoured vehicles to re-equip the British Army after the Dunkirk evacuation and to defend aircraft factories and other key industrial points.
The Humber Light Armoured Car, known as the "Humberette", was ordered by the War Office and consisted of an open-top armoured body on a Humber Super Snipe car chassis with a six-cylinder 75/80 bhp engine. Few vehicles appear to have been produced in this form, because an improved version "Ironside I", broadly the same but carried on W.D. pattern wheels with Run Flat tyres, followed soon afterwards and work on the 1,200 of these ordered was being carried out by the Rootes Group in July 1940.
November 18, 2011 Tea party debt commission: Our plan balances budget in four years
Looks good.
Pass the tea party plan and the country’s budget will be balanced by 2015 — just four years from now — according to the organizers of the “Tea Party Debt Commission” — a project of tea party-aligned FreedomWorks.
The commission seeks to influence the super committee in Congress that is racing to come up with a plan to cut at least $1.2 trillion from the national debt.
A copy of the final plan obtained by The Daily Caller calls for massive downsizing of the government without tax hikes, including eliminating the Department of Commerce, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Department of Energy and the Department of Education.
The plan is being presented at a Capitol Hill hearing Tuesday with the help of Utah Republican Sen. Mike Lee. The hope from organizers is that lawmakers will consider it as they come up with their own plan.
“Imagine a plan that slows the numbers on the National Debt Clock to a crawl, and then brings them to a halt, and then shifts them into reverse,” the final document says.
Obama sure knows how to pick them: OWS Moment of Silence for White House Shooter
“I think we should have a moment of silence in solidarity for the person that they said was from the Washington DC Occupy, that maybe why did he feel the need to shoot the White House window today.”
Currently the MSM is working overtime to make sure no narrative is created from the suspected White House shooter’s connection to #OccupyDC.
First, those who would leap all over a single sign to smear the entire Tea Party movement kept the White House shooting story quiet.
And now those who eagerly spread the Tea Party N-word lie are hiding the possible connection below six paragraphs and a few hundred words.
Totalitarian Socialism by Any Other Name
“Sustainable Development” or United Nations Agenda 21
Mike Scruggs
In William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, Juliet speaks to Romeo of the difference between a person and their name:
“What’s in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.”
Power-seeking politicians, unhindered by high standards of truth or conventional moral responsibility, however, have often taken a different tact. Their route to power most often depends upon deception. Therefore, they give sweet names, even morally inspiring names, to their evil designs for greater and more totalitarian power. Unfortunately, the public has often been gullible enough to swallow their sugarcoated poison—until alarming symptoms appear.
Agenda 21 is the abbreviated form of the United Nations Sustainable Development Agenda for the 21st Century. This name and supporting plans first appeared at the 1992 United Nations Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro. It all sounds peachy to the unwary. Evil is never marketed as evil. Even Satan can disguise himself as an angel of light. The Agenda 21 objective is to assure that all of mankind should enjoy adequate and affordable housing, comprehensive health care, abundant food supplies, clean water, and a sparkling environment. It is most frequently marketed as a comprehensive future environmental plan, beginning with small steps like bicycle trails and soccer fields without revealing the total plan or the eventual cost in freedom, property rights, and tax dollars.
Agenda 21 may look good to some on its surface. “Progressives,” so-called liberals, and
environmental control freaks are generally ecstatic about it. President Obama is pushing hard to implement as much of it as possible as surreptitiously as possible. Even some conservatives have been misled by its clever community-spirited camouflage. But let the buyer beware. It is a breath-taking comprehensive plan for totalitarian socialism dressed in environmental green.
The leading edge of Agenda 21 is an environmentalism that seeks vastly increased governmental control over individual property rights. But it does not stop there. Its comprehensive planning and “reforms” will not only reduce property rights to somewhere near zero but in consequence will sharply reduce individual freedom to own property, buy a home, choose where to live, or own a private vehicle. All fuel use and travel would be closely regulated. Sustainable Development means severe government regulation of many personal and economic choices. It is defined as “economic growth that will not detrimentally affect the resources or biological systems of the planet.” This will be accomplished by government control reaching eventually to almost every human activity. How many children would you like to have? Sustainable Development calls for reduced population levels.
Besides the abandonment of property rights and the elevation of environmental purity over human life and freedom, a third major objective of Agenda 21 is “Social Equity.”
This does not mean all people will be equal under the law. It means the abandonment of law in order to make everyone equal in income, property rights (none), and social status— all except government and educational bureaucrats.
The Obama plan is to push Sustainable Development on local communities step by step. It will start innocently with offering Federal incentives or a Federal Partnership for projects like hiking trails, biking trails, soccer fields, and other desirable quality of life improvements. But there will be a cost. The usual Federal funding bait will be used. But are Federal dollars someone else’s dollars because they are not paid from County or City budgets? No, either your Federal taxes will go up or the value of your savings will be reduced by inflation. But don’t worry, 40 percent of your new quality of life will be paid for by China or some other foreign creditor. We can always pay off China with deflated dollars. Oh, wait a minute, that means my dollars will be worth less or maybe worthless. When your City Council or County Commission approves your biking trail, you might just stop and wonder how this is going to be paid for. You might even wonder why local governments should be spending money on hiking trails, when we are in the severest economic downturn since the Great Depression. It doesn’t make sense except to people who want to control more of your property and life and to increase Federal power over state and local governments.
Agenda 21 and Sustainable Development are already here. The Federal Partnership for Sustainable Communities awarded the Land of Sky Regional Council (LOSRC) a major grant (fool’s bait) to participate in a new planning project for Buncombe, Henderson, Haywood, Madison, and Transylvania counties. It will be a wonderful multi-disciplinary (popular progressive buzzword) approach covering economic prosperity, quality growth, and sustainable development. It will include housing, transportation, natural and cultural resources, energy, and land use. This may sound like a wonderful gift, but those with some discernment can see the outline and shadow of a Trojan Horse and in that horse are many demons—demons dedicated to controlling your local government and your life from Washington.
Planning is a good thing, but government planning can easily get too big and too controlling. Communist government planning in China and the Soviet Union starved more people to death than Hitler and Japanese General/Prime Minister Hideki Tojo were able to kill in World War 2. Beware for it is a favorite cloak of tyrants. Playing with Federal “Partnerships” is about as safe as playing with M18 claymore mines.
Socialism is as destructive of freedom and prosperity by any other name, including Agenda 21 and Sustainable Development. That which we call a skunk will not smell better by any other name.
Giuliani: I'd Have Stopped Occupy Wall Street Protesters on Day One
The First Amendment does not give Occupy Wall Street protesters the right to take over private property and engage in illegal activities, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani says.
“You have no right to pitch a tent in the middle of New York City, I’m sorry,” Giuliani said on Sean Hannity’s radio show this afternoon. “That is not the First Amendment.”
President Barack Obama’s empathy for the 2-month-old movement and New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s lack of action to stop it are an embarrassment to the nation and the city, Giuliani said.
Giuliani’s comments came on a day when police and the protesters had squared off as they marched through the city in an effort to fulfill their promise to shut down the New York Stock Exchange.
“The minute you have any place where you have to put up a place [to] protect a woman against rape, then you’ve got to come in and get rid of those people,” Giuliani told Hannity. “You can’t tolerate that in a civilized city.”
Giuliani said he delivered a speech at a high-level economic conference last week in China, where the first question posed to him involved the protests.
“This thing has gone around the globe, and it’s beginning to characterize us,” he said. “This is what they think we’re about.”
He described the protesters as “disgruntled bums” and “leftover hippies from the ’60s and ’70s.”
“When I see them on television sometimes, particularly the older ones, it looks like I’m seeing the leftover effects of having taken too many drugs when they were 20 years old,” he said. “They make no sense. They babble.”
