Terminal Ballistics Research

Release 1. .224 To 7mm calibers

The TBR Knowledge base release 1. is the first half of our research findings to be published online. The second volume covers the .30 to .458 calibers along with Proprietary cartridge designs and will be published live in due course.

Introduction

The information you are about to read is not an ordinary, general overview of hunting cartridges. This Knowledge base is the culmination of 20 years intensive field research and as new bullet designs emerge, this research continues. The data base on this website is and will be updated accordingly.

As of 2011, over 7000 head of game were killed and autopsied for the initial body of work. To obtain a set of results, animals were taken at differing ranges, differing shot placement and angles. The tests then had to be retaken several times with each cartridge and each bullet to ensure repeatable results. Naturally, while testing so many cartridges over so many years, firearms expertise occurred by attrition.

In 2007, based on demand, we formed the company Terminal Ballistics Research ltd. TBR has three main divisions including rifle accurizing services, guided and tutorial hunting and the research division which you are now viewing.

Essentially, the goal of our hunting cartridge research is to give shooters a set of expectations regarding both ammunition and firearms. Where a comment is made in the ahead pages stating that a cartridge will do such and such on impact, readers can expect those results to be clinically factual and repeatable in the field rather than based on passing opinion.

To get the most out of this research, readers are encouraged to think about their expectations of themselves, their rifles and their cartridges. By studying the game killing section, the reader is able to start his or her own decision making process based on a solid foundation. In the cartridge section, the reader can make comparisons of various cartridges, look for similar results in his or her own cartridge and by cross referencing, will be able to notice and understand common trends in performance.

There is certainly no single cartridge to suit every hunter as each hunter has such varied needs. Some hunters are recoil shy, some have sustained shoulder injuries. Some folk are primarily woods hunters, others find their game on the open tops. Some hunters have a generous disposable income, others are on a severly limited budget. Regardless of the research presented here, readers must still make their own decisions regarding optimum cartridge usage.

Please use the navigation panel on the left hand side of this page to enter the research pages.

Red Banks Campaign

On 30 April 1864 Began yankee General Nathanael Banks Red River Campaign in Louisiana. It was a complete failure, but Louisiana's governor Henry Watkins Allen, commissioned a report composed of eye-witnesses affidavits. I have seen this book, even used it. At one place the yankees were camped across the river on a Sunday and the people of the town came out to promenade as they did every Sunday. They were civilians, yet they fired on them. But the worst treatment was reserved for slaves, who were encouraged to follow after the Union army and told that the Confederates would kill them when they returned. Once these poor people had left their homes, they were abandoned. Thousands died. The eye-witness reports are horrifying. I had to put the book down, and walk away.

Ron Paul’s campaign claims victory in Louisiana caucuses

Via Cousin John

Throughout the Republican presidential primaries, Ron Paul has done well with young Americans, drawing thousands to his Youth for Ron Paul rallies. However, some of his young fans are still a few years shy of heading to the polls.

Ron Paul’s presidential campaign today claimed victory in this weekend’s district caucuses in Louisiana, boldly predicting that the Texas congressman will be in control of the state’s delegation to the Republican National Convention.

The Paul campaign said the candidate won “four and a half of six congressional district caucuses, securing 111 of 150 — or 74 percent — of (the) delegates” allocated as part of Saturday’s district caucus process.

“Ron Paul’s victory shows his delegate-attainment strategy is working and demonstrates that the media and Washington pundits are underestimating his influence in the nominating process,” said Ron Paul 2012 national campaign manager John Tate.

Tate predicted that “the Louisiana win forecasts a prominent role for Ron Paul” at the Republican National Convention in Tampa. “It also signals that the convention will feature a spirited discussion over whether conservatism will triumph over the status quo, all in relation to the end game of defeating President Obama.”

The Paul campaign claimed victory in Louisiana’s Congressional Districts 1, 2, 5 and 6, and a split decision in District 4.

“Yesterday’s result shows the changing dynamic among grassroots conservative activists dedicated to promoting a Republican platform that adheres to the Constitutional values Dr. Paul represents,” Paul’s Louisiana state director, Pete Chamberlain, said today. “Back-room dealing and insider politics are no match for the grassroots enthusiasm that is the hallmark of the Ron Paul campaign. Yesterday, Ron Paul’s dedicated Louisiana supporters showed what passionate, persistent activism can achieve when centered around a consistent message of freedom and prosperity.”

GOP presidential frontrunner Mitt Romney now has the support of Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and most of the party’s establishment leadership, so he is sure to receive a significant number of at-large or automatic delegates.

Chase’s Gross Misunderstanding of Loyalty

Salmon P. Chase’s ignorance of the Constitution was profound, and like a monarch saw subjects in the States, not free citizens as the Framer’s intended. Only States themselves can establish the privilege of suffrage, not the agent created by the States. That same Constitution holds that treason can only be committed against a State, by waging war against it or adhering to its enemies, which is precisely what Chase and his revolutionary cohorts were engaged in. Secession was a valid act, the same valid act which 13 colonies committed against England.

His real objective was loyal voters in the defeated South to vote Republican, and using them to perpetually hold the South in subjection to his rule. The radical Republican method of firm pacification of the South involved the Union League terrorist organization which taught the freedmen to hate their white neighbors and keep them from the polls, all to assure the ascendancy of Republican hegemony. Had there been no Union League, there would have been no Ku Klux Klan.

Chase’s Gross Misunderstanding of Loyalty

“Salmon P. Chase….emerged as an early advocate of self-determination as the best solution to disorder in the South. Throughout the war, Chase argued that the federal government’s policy toward the rebellious South should be based on the principle that “the loyal citizens of a State constitute a State.” He defined as loyal those “who desire the suppression of the rebellion, and consent to the means which the government found necessary for its suppression.”

Loyal citizens included virtually all of the black population together with those whites who accepted emancipation and Negro suffrage. Chase thought it was vital that the federal government make “no distinctions between colored and white loyalists,” and he attributed the shortcomings of Lincoln’s efforts in Louisiana, where Chase believed “the old secession element is rapidly gaining the ascendancy,” to the exclusion of blacks from the ballot.

Chase believed that universal suffrage, incorporating the principle of equal suffrage for blacks, would provide the foundation necessary for universal amnesty and for the final reconciliation of North and South. Touring the South in May 1865, Chase wrote to Secretary of War Stanton that “universal suffrage is essential to thorough pacification.” Most important, he believed, “the white population will acquiesce in this policy without serious opposition if it is clearly announced, & firmly but kindly pursued.”

Like all reformers, Chase accepted the necessity of a period of military reconstruction and, indeed, insisted as chief justice that “military rule must be supreme” until civil order and civil law could be fully and safely restored. Similarly….Chase stood with most reformers in opposing [Gerrit] Smith’s dictum that the rebels loyalty to the de facto Confederate government could not be distinguished morally from unionist loyalty to the federal government. “If the rebels waging war against the government are not traitors, Chase responded, “secession was a valid act; and our war was one of conquest.”

Wind farms may have warming effect

Via Don

Large wind farms might have a warming effect on the local climate, research in the United States showed on Sunday, casting a shadow over the long-term sustainability of wind power.
Carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases from burning fossil fuels contribute to global warming, which could lead to the melting of glaciers, sea level rise, ocean acidification, crop failure and other devastating effects, scientists say.

In a move to cut such emissions, many nations are moving towards cleaner energy sources such as wind power.

The world's wind farms last year had the capacity to produce 238 gigawatt of electricity at any one time. That was a 21 percent rise on 2010 and capacity is expected to reach nearly 500 gigawatt by the end of 2016 as more, and bigger, farms spring up, according to the Global Wind Energy Council.

Researchers at the State University of New York at Albany analysed the satellite data of areas around large wind farms in Texas, where four of the world's largest farms are located, over the period 2003 to 2011.

The results, published in the journal Nature Climate Change, showed a warming trend of up to 0.72 degrees Celsius per decade in areas over the farms, compared with nearby regions without the farms.

"We attribute this warming primarily to wind farms," the study said. The temperature change could be due to the effects of the energy expelled by farms and the movement and turbulence generated by turbine rotors, it said.

Unprecedented surge of illegal alien children

McALLEN, Texas (AP) - An unprecedented surge of children caught trudging through South Texas scrublands or crossing at border ports of entry without their families has sent government and nonprofit agencies scrambling to expand their shelter, legal representation and reunification services. On any given day this year, the U.S. Office of Refugee Resettlement has been caring for more than 2,100 unaccompanied child immigrants.

The influx came to light last week when 100 kids were taken to Lackland Air Force Base near San Antonio for temporary housing. It was the first time the government has turned to the Defense Department - now, 200 boys and girls younger than 18 stay in a base dormitory.

While the issue of unaccompanied minors arriving in the U.S. isn't new, the scale of the recent increase is. From October 2011 through March, 5,252 kids landed in U.S. custody without a parent or guardian - a 93 percent increase from the same period the previous year, according to data released by the Department of Health and Human Services. In March alone, 1,390 kids arrived.

"The whole community right now is in triage mode," said Wendy Young, executive director of Kids in Need of Defense, a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit that matches pro bono attorneys with unaccompanied minors navigating the immigration system. "It's important that the resources and the capacity meet the need, and we're not quite there yet."

Misguided Tolerance Kowtowing to the Radical Homosexual Agenda

Mike Scruggs

Unfortunately for the causes of sound reasoning and good government, many people have been persuaded that tolerance is an unquestionable absolute virtue. This is unthinking nonsense. Tolerance can be an important civic virtue, if it facilitates the peace, safety, and well-being of a society.  But tolerating actions that have a strong potential to destroy or disrupt society’s peace, safety, and well-being is extremely unwise. Tolerating your neighbor’s cat in your backyard is an act of courtesy, but tolerating his pet diamondback rattler in your backyard is insanity. Tolerance can be a valuable civic virtue, but tolerating great evil or great danger is both evil and foolish.

Yet we see daily instances in our media of people using unqualified “tolerance” to argue for radical social changes that have strong potentials for social chaos.  Highly destructive social agendas are often pushed as “civil rights” even though they infringe on the civil rights of others and the moral stability of the nation.  We see these misguided concepts of tolerance and distorted concepts of civil rights shouting down reasonable deliberation on their impact on national security, public safety, and the most important social fabric that holds any nation together—marriage and family. Without these no nation can prosper in freedom and safety.  Yet we are a nation that is hastily throwing out centuries of solid moral traditions and burying volumes of credible scientific research to promote a radical homosexual agenda..

Unfortunately, the radical homosexual agenda is not about reasoned standards of tolerance and civil rights. It is certainly not about high standards of medical and social research. These have been sacrificed to the national political correctness agenda surrounding homosexual issues. Truth has taken a back seat to fashionable politics and misguided ideologies. The radical homosexual agenda is about normalizing homosexuality and proclaiming it as virtuous. It is a militant Revolutionary ideology that must punish any resistance to its new status. Part of that agenda must therefore be to undermine, discredit, and destroy Judeo-Christian teachings on sexual morality, marriage, and family. Although most of the shouting by its leadership is directed at overturning these Scriptural teachings, this seems to go right over the heads of many people. It is no wonder. In the last 50 years, America has slipped down a path of Biblical ignorance and irreverent disregard for Scriptural truth.  This decline has put the nation in a moral, ethical, and spiritual tailspin from which it may not be able to recover. The resulting spiritual and moral blindness has paved the way for a militant homosexual agenda and a staggering array of leftist perversions of political justice.

Homosexuality is not a virtue. It is a pathology with painful health and social consequences. According to the Centers for Disease Control, nearly two-thirds of all AIDS cases in the U.S. are directly attributable to homosexual activity. Yet they only represent two percent of the population—not 10 percent as claimed by the badly flowed Kinsey report. This means that homosexuals are 147 times more likely to acquire and spread AIDS.

AIDS is by no means the only problem. According to the research of Robert Knight (Air Force Times, December 1992), homosexual youths are 23 times more likely to contract a sexually transmitted disease as heterosexual youths. Male homosexuals are 14 times more likely to have had syphilis than male heterosexuals. Lesbians are 19 times more likely to carry syphilis as heterosexual women. John A. Eidsmoe gives three other research reports with similar results in his 1992 book compiling the case against homosexuals in the military. The Obama Administration ignored all such health and military performance research data in recommending that homosexuals be able to serve openly in the military.

Kinsey and other researchers found that homosexuals average more than 250 partners during their lifetime. This exposes the homosexual agenda for gay and lesbian marriage to be a showboat political platform for their radical agenda rather than seeking lifetime companionship. Again, their real goal is to discredit and destroy the Judeo-Christian concept of one-man-one-woman marriage and family. According to both U.S (Dr. John R. Diggs, 2002). and Dutch research, homosexual marriage actually increases promiscuity and spreads disease faster.

Homosexual practices also increase the risk of various infections. Over 90 percent engage in anal intercourse with risks of fecal and urine contamination. Their cancer rate is 12 times higher than heterosexuals. According  Diggs (2002), homosexuality knocks 20 years off a gay male lifespan. A young gay male of 20 years has only a 32 percent chance of making it to age 65. AIDS hospitalization also costs 7 times more than cancer hospitalization.  Many more shocking research reports could have been cited on the homosexual healthcare disaster.

Of serious concern to the military in adapting to the Obama Administration’s open homosexuality policies is that one third of all child molestations involve homosexual activity. This means that homosexuals are 16.5 times more likely to engage in child molestations than heterosexuals, which could be a major issue in keeping military bases safe for dependent children.

According to Williams and Weinberg (1972), 77 percent of homosexuals received honorable discharges from the armed forces versus 98 percent for heterosexuals. In this report, homosexuals were more than 11 times more likely to receive an other than honorable discharge as heterosexuals. Although many of President Obama’s supporters have cited anecdotal instances of gay and lesbian heroism in the military, these appear to be the exception rather than the rule. In any case, Obama’s political desires were rammed through Congress with little concern for their future consequences.

Oh, yes—Help restore our country’s moral backbone. Vote FOR the North Carolina Marriage Amendment.

‘Survivalist’ murder suspect found dead in bunker after 22-hour standoff with police

Via Tom Stedham

After a 22-hour standoff, police blew the top off a rugged mountain bunker near Seattle on Saturday, only to find their suspect — a man believed to be a murder suspect who holed up there — dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound inside.

Authorities had not positively identified the body as 41-year-old Peter Keller, who hadn’t been seen since his wife and daughter were found shot to death last weekend, King County sheriff’s Sgt. Katie Larson said.
A bomb squad cleared the bunker, built into a ridge in the Cascade Mountains, to make sure there were no booby-traps before detectives entered. Officers shouted warnings before blowing the roof, Larson said. Tear gas pumped into the bunker didn’t work on Friday. With clear weather and a fresh police commando team in place Saturday morning, it was time to act more aggressively, she said.

It wasn’t clear if any officers had heard the gunshot from inside the bunker, she said.

Free Trade: Exporting Jobs, Importing Aliens

In his book, The Open-Borders Network: How a Web of Ethnic Activists, Journalists, Corporations, Politicians, Lawyers, and Clergy Undermine U.S. Border Security and National Sovereignty, author Kevin Lamb — managing editor of this journal — makes this important observation: “The propaganda in favor of uncontrolled immigration from today’s business leaders echoes the arguments California business magnates made in support of bringing in hundreds of thousands of Chinese coolies to work on the railroads and in agriculture in the 1880s. Yet there is an important difference. Until recently, advocates for American business took care to claim that their demands served the interests of the nation and its people. Today, a growing and significant segment of America’s most important business interests is not only striving for, but openly espouses, the opening of America’s borders and the eclipse of its national sovereignty.”1

The special interests Lamb writes about are what President Dwight Eisenhower dubbed “the military-industrial complex”: a powerful conglomerate consisting of Wall Street moguls, multi-national corporate elites, and naïve politicians, who on this issue, will march under a “free trade” banner in anybody’s parade.

........I remember when people actually fought to be FREE.

Now, they fight to get FREE STUFF and shackle themselves willingly as slaves on the Government's plantation.
- In their spare time they fight over coveted sneakers at the mall.

The more things stay the same...

Plato's 'Cave Allegory' from his "Republic" is germane here, but the unions in the government-run schools don't teach it because it was written by (sniff) a 'dead white male' thousands of years ago, and it runs counter to the "progressive" agenda that is anti-freedom and anti-human.
- Now, people only know Orwell's prophetic "slavery is freedom" but do not seem to comprehend the awful meaning of it, nor the import.

George Zimmerman: Prelude to a shooting

Though civil rights demonstrators have argued Zimmerman should not have prejudged Martin, one black neighbor of the Zimmermans said recent history should be taken into account.

"Let's talk about the elephant in the room. I'm black, OK?" the woman said, declining to be identified because she anticipated backlash due to her race. She leaned in to look a reporter directly in the eyes. "There were black boys robbing houses in this neighborhood," she said. "That's why George was suspicious of Trayvon Martin."

The following is a list of possible locations of NSA domestic interception points inside the United States.  The list was presented by computer security researcher Jacob Appelbaum at a recent event held at the Whitney Museum in New York along with filmmaker Laura Poitras and ex-NSA employee William Binney.  One of the addresses, an AT&T building on Folsom Street in San Francisco, is the location of Room 641A which was the subject of multiple lawsuits regarding the warrantless surveillance of U.S. citizens.  A recent article in Wired quoted Binney as estimating that there are likely ten to twenty of these locations around the country.

Defensive Considerations for Resistance Forces

Resistance/insurgent operations should be inherently offensive in nature. Defensive operations by guerrilla forces should be the exception that proves the rule. Whether the goal of such an operation is to protect the personnel and physical infrastructure of a widely dispersed guerrilla base in the mountains, a rural farming community that provides foodstuffs for the logistical support of the resistance, or an individual survival retreat homestead, the old cliche that the best defense is a good offense holds true.

Nevertheless, defensive protective operations may be critical to support and/or facilitate further offensive efforts, as well as to prevent enemy penetration of resistance-controlled territory and destruction of critical resistance support infrastructure. Defensive operations are conducted to resist, defeat, or destroy an enemy assault only in order to facilitate follow-on offensive actions. Otherwise, the resistance element should always choose to evade contact with an attacking enemy force, choosing to fight on their own terms instead.

Florida Man Mistakes Girlfriend for a Hog, Shoots Her

Life at home for one Florida man  got a lot more complicated when he accidentally shot his girlfriend in both legs thinking she was a hog.

Flagler County Sheriff's deputies say 52-year-old Steven Egan was hog hunting Saturday night with   girlfriend Lisa Simmons  at a hunting camp off a rural county road in Flagler,  in the northern part of the state.

Around 7:30 p.m., officials said, Egan shot at a hog and then left Simmons behind in the tent to go look for it.  When he heard a noise in the woods he fired his gun again, thinking it was the animal.

In the face of any sort of opposition, credible or rhetorical, the default position of Democrats/Communists/Fascists (but I repeat myself) has been to whine like little bitches with an acute case of vaginitis.  Case in point, "Eugene Robinson" wrote an OpEd for the Indystar with this quote,

the extreme language we hear from the far right is qualitatively different from the extreme language we hear from the far left -- and far more damaging to the ties that bind us as a nation.
Which is complete and utter bullshit.  Allow me to quote our sitting President.

Confederate flag prom dress keeps TN student from celebration

  1. Here we go again. Another useful idiot school administrator.

Gibson County High School senior Texanna Edwards was — like many of her classmates — looking forward to her prom last Saturday.

But Edwards didn’t get to attend because of her attire — a knee-length red dress decorated with bright blue stripes and white stars inside the stripes. The school’s colors are red, white and blue, but the dress resembles the controversial Confederate battle flag.

Edwards, 18, said she wasn’t allowed inside the prom after school officials told her the Confederate flag prom dress was “offensive and inappropriate.”

“We asked why they thought that, but they kept saying the same thing over and over,” she said Monday.

“We kept asking people walking inside — black and white — and everyone said they loved it. Two black women even went off on the principal. They were upset with the principal. No one was upset with me.”

Stop Corporate Welfare of Ex-Im Bank

President Obama’s most recent push focuses on promoting manufacturing and doubling America’s exports. A February White House release reports $3 billion was rolled back into the U.S. Treasury since 2005 as a kind of profit from Export-Import Bank loan activities. Authorization for the Ex-Im Bank expires in May 2012. Legislation is in the hopper that would extend that authorization; opposing legislation also exists that would terminate the program. Question is, what does the Ex-Im Bank really accomplish?

Established in the 1930s under an executive order by FDR as a portion of his New Deal bureaucracy, the Ex-Im Bank was to aid in financing and facilitating exports and imports between the U.S. and other nations or agencies, and specifically the Soviet Union. Loans (direct and intermediary for re-loaning) to overseas customers would be given, backed by the full faith and credit of the United States. In return, foreign customers would agree to purchase products from certain producers -- a win-win for recent loan customers such as China National Nuclear Power Corporation, the failed Solyndra, General Electric, Boeing, and the failed Enron, all having been politically favored by the Ex-Im Bank.

In the 2011 annual Ex-Im report 44 percent of $32.7 billion in federal financial aid went to just three corporations -- Boeing, General Electric and Black and Veatch International, an engineering firm. That’s $13.5 billion in help securing export business they should have been able to secure for themselves. Critics say this is corporate welfare and subsidization. Candidate Barack Obama was one of those critics. In a speech in Green Bay, Wisconsin, September 22, 2008, he said the Ex-Im Bank was “little more than a fund for corporate welfare.”

The Ex-Im Bank awards and serves very few who profit tremendously from the program. A Cato Institute analysis reports that awards of the Ex-Im Bank process are “redistributing resources from the productive sector to its chosen clients.” This is a distortion of the economy, and inserts politics into commercial decisions in an attempt to “correct market failure” in cases of supposed unfair competition.

The “unfair competition” argument is sure to be a major talking point for both Democrats and Republicans who support extending the Ex-Im Bank’s charter for several more years, and also extending the loan cap upwards to $113 billion, or even $140 billion as in the case of H.R. 4302 (1 sponsor) and companion bill S. 1547 (1 sponsor). However, according to the Cato Institute article cited above, "The claim that the bank supports U.S. exporters who face unfair competition from subsidized firms abroad is unverifiable, as the bank does not publish figures regarding the extent of this countervailing activity."

While Americans continue to see a ballooning national debt already over $15 trillion, and their once-secure futures ransomed, it’s crazy to allow these bureaucrats to provide advantageous funding for private corporations while the fact remains that taxpayers are significantly exposed to billions of dollars of risk through potential defaults for Ex-Im foreign loans and loan guarantees in a highly volatile and faltering global financial market. Take it from the Ex-Im Bank Mission statement page: “We assume credit and country risks that the private sector is unable or unwilling to accept.”

Contact your representatives here and let companies and foreign customers find their own private funding sources. Real growth comes from honest competitiveness, not market manipulation. Have them support H.R. 4268, the Export-Import Bank Termination Act of 2012, to end unfair polices of an agency whose activities are outside the enumerated powers of the Constitution.

Thanks.

The “Progressive” brand — for what does it stand?

Yesterday we learned that Representative Allen West (R-FL) was disinvited from an NAACP fundraiser in his home state of Florida. Last week, West had commented that “I believe there’s about 78 to 81 members of the Democratic Party that are members of the Communist Party.”
West, who came under fire for his controversial comments, responded by penning a piece in The Hill:
My colleagues in the Congressional Progressive Caucus have taken umbrage with my equation of their ideals with those of communists. Why? Why shouldn’t we have this discussion? What part of their agenda are they trying to hide?
We must be able to openly discuss how our fundamental freedoms are being slowly chipped away by an over-reaching nanny state that has bit by bit slipped its tentacles into every aspect of our lives, from the types of light bulbs we can use to the size of our toilet tanks.
In a follow-up interview with TheStreetTV, West commented that “…when you look at the history of the Communist Party, when it came to the United States of America, back at the turn of the century, they rebranded themselves and called themselves ‘Progressives’”:

Anders Breivik: Too Sane for Comfort

My brother has just been to stay with me in Italy. He may be a top London lawyer, but he is a mixed-up liberal lefty. He has lots of rich Muslim clients—a mere coincidence, no doubt.

“Muslims make no distinction between church and state. The church is the state,” I told him. “That’s OK, is it? I mean, in London, in 2012? They’ve even got Sharia courts now, I hear.”

I suggested that one fine day in London the punishment for homosexuality, adultery, and apostasy might become death by stoning.

So he said: “You wouldn’t be able to say what you’re saying in London. You’d be arrested for incitement.”

“Not even in private at a dinner like this?”

“You wouldn’t be invited.”

“So four wives is fine, is it?”

“They need the permission of the other wives.”

Kids think we're better off dead

A 12-year-old girl has responded with the stunning “I wish we didn’t exist” to questions about how she feels about pollution and humanity’s impact on the earth, according to a new video released by Brian Sussman, author of “Eco-Tyranny: How the Left’s Green Agenda will Dismantle America.”
The response came from a 6th-grade girl identified only as Kalie, from Gault Elementary. Sussman met her during Earth Day events in Santa Cruz, Calif., recently, where he traveled to ask “What is the most serious threat facing mankind?”

“Kalie has been green-washed to the point where she readily admits, ‘Sometimes I wish we didn’t exist,’” Sussman reported.

Samuel L. Jackson: 'Hell Yeah' Guns Should Be Legal

 Breitbart

"The Avengers" co-star Samuel L. Jackson sounds like most celebrities while discussing the Trayvon Martin case.

He says the shooter in Martin's death, George Zimmerman, should be in custody even though Jackson doesn't know all of the relevant facts in the case. No one does at this point. But Jackson's stance on guns isn't so predictable.

"I dont mind people having guns, I grew up with guns in Tennessee."

Asked if he still owns a firearm, Jackson replies, "Hell yeah. I'm not going to be the one without the gun when the people who have guns show up."

Tenth Amendment a Waste of Ink?

Via Buy-A-Gun Day

 An agressive attack on the Tenth Amendment was posted recently at RedState entitled The Tenth Amendmenters and it states;

“There is much talk here on these pages and on other conservative sites that the Tenth Amendment is some broad grant of state’s rights. Many argue that because of the 10th Amendment, the federal government cannot wade into areas that traditionally have been the province of state governments. However, to assert that argument is to read way too much into the Amendment as stated.”
And further the Federalists bowed to the demands of the Anti-Federalists;

“As such, they viewed a Bill of Rights as being superfluous within the constitutional framework. Still, to abate these unwarranted fears (in their estimation) they gave into the Anti-Federalists and agreed that the first Congress would take up a Bill of Rights. In fact, the first eight amendments are essentially lifted from state constitutions in existence at the time.

Almost as afterthoughts, the Ninth and Tenth Amendments were added.” — The Tenth Amendmenters
Afterthoughts? For an “afterthought” to become an amendment this is what is required;

Sunday School & The Cause II

My wife and I teach the high school Sunday School class at our church.  This past Sunday, I had the opportunity to weave our cause into the lesson.

The lesson was about choosing to stand with God and the passage was Exodus 32:25-32.  In this Moses was coming down after being on the mountain with God.  As he came into camp, there was Aaron and the other Israelites dancing around with the golden calf.

Moses chastised Aaron for succumbing evils of idolatry.  Moses was going through the camp in a rage.  He took the golden calf, burnt it, ground it to do and made the children if Israel drink it.
This wasn’t enough to sway the shameful ways of the people.

Moses shouted, “WHOEVER IS ON THE SIDE OF THE LORD, LET HIM COME TO ME”.

Levi and all his sons came to stand with Moses.  They then put on their swords and slew every brother, companion and neighbor, totaling 3000.

We are at that point in this nation.

We are a nation of false idols.  Look at the kids.  All they want is the newest, fastest, biggest screen phone, tablet, etc, etc, etc.
They have not a care about anyone or anything else other than themselves.

So I asked the kids in the class if they knew of someone taking a stand.  They all shook their heads no.

So, I asked them about a stand that a small group of people took 237 years ago.  Again, none knew.

So I explained about their  fight for freedom.  The stand that these patriots took against an oppressive government.  Just like the Israelites did when Moses led them out of Egypt.

I then wound this into the Civil war and how the South was taking a stand against the oppressive Yankee regime located in the swamps of the Potomac.

The Warrior Defined

Via Looking in the Mirror

An overused and most often misunderstood word, the true definition of what it means to be a warrior or the warrior mindset eludes most people.
Humans have a natural tendency to define all things down to the simplest most easily digestible level. Deep thought requires effort and effort is as foreign to many citizens as constructing an algorithm.
The oversimplified definition of a warrior is merely a fighter, a member of an organized military or fighting force or simply a brute or barbarian.
While a warrior might be a fighter or part of a military unit, mere membership does not make one a warrior.
A true warrior possesses a mindset or an ethos that guides his daily action in all things, not just conflict. A warrior understands and accepts that life is conflict and that overcoming conflict requires effort on his part. This effort may involve a physical confrontation and force of violence. He accepts this and prepares his mind and body for the conflict.

The Purge

VERBATIM POST

As a thought experiment, ponder this question. "To create my ideal form of government, exactly who do I have to kill?"

To the Founding Fathers, the answer was "enough British Soldiers to win our Independence." To Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Hitler, Pol Pot, it was "anyone who stands in my way." To Abraham Lincoln it was "as many as it takes to preserve the Union."

To many here in our own society who believe in a benevolent one world government run by the bestest wisest scientieist politicians ever it is "anyone who doesn't buy our bullshit about global warming." The calls for "re-education camps" and mass killings have already started, and if enough people tell the Big Lie long enough they'll get the sheep to believe it. Four legs good, two legs better. We have always been at war with....

It is an interesting thing to ponder, the killing of other human beings purely for ideological reasons. The other side, the statists and anti-liberty thugs all have their excuses. Traitor to the Revolution, bourgeoisie, Christ Killing Jews, whatever the label there have been enough people who have bought into those labels to literally murder millions of people who spoke the same language as their executioners.

Our Founding Fathers shot and killed men who spoke their language, were born in the same area, and kept on killing them with the help of those who spoke a different language, all because of political ideology.

It was easier in WWI when the opponent spoke German, and easy again in WWII with the Germans and Japanese. During the Cold War it was simple to hate the Godless Communists. But the enemy of freedom speaks your language, looks like you, and may even share the same blood. People often forget that our "Revolutionary War" was nothing more than a Civil War that succeeded from our point of view.

So, who would you kill? Would your ideal government be worth it?

The Glock Torture Test

ThePrepared Gear Review: Glock 21 .45acp (Performed by Bigbore of Adco Firearms)

For almost 10 years I’ve been abusing and neglecting my Glock 21. Its been a running joke among some friends and I. Nothing was planned or documented. As I tell people what it has been through, most simply don’t believe me. I guess I wouldn’t either. If someone told you their Glock has at least 150K rounds through it and has gone almost 15K rounds with no cleaning or maintenance would you believe them?

I want to do this so I have documentation, of what has been done, and how it worked. I don’t care about 500rds without a FTE, or FTF. Once it was buried in the mud w/a full mag, and when I dug it out the next day it went bang the first time I pulled the trigger but the weight of all the mud on the slide kept it from cycling. I scraped off most of the mud on my boot and fired the remaining 12 shots without a problem.

I want to know how much can it take and still function. If not function perfectly – what will it take to get running again.

Its all been done already, I'm just going to keep track this time. Heres a pic after around 15K rounds with no cleaning, and being buried in mud etc...
The barrel fouling was amazing, it was basically a smooth bore.

Formal Complaint To Be Filed Against Zimmerman Prosecutor, Angela Corey

Via Legal Insurrection

A source has confirmed that a formal complaint for possible financial irregularities pursuant to Angela's Corey's 2008 campaign has been initiated and will be filed against the Zimmerman prosecutor and State Attorney.

Yesterday, the website Gawker asked if Corey had sanitized her financial disclosures for her 2008 bid. The report was based upon the work of Joe Culligan's website Web of Deception. Culligan is a long-known and trusted source.

I've confirmed that, when approached for disclosure of financial documents regarding Corey's campaign, her campaign Treasurer, Marshall Gunn's response appears to indicate the campaign is not in possession of said records. The request was regarding copies of disbursement checks payable to Corey's campaign manager, Brandon Patty, and any accompanying 1099's issued as a result. Form 1099s are issued to report the paying of wages, tips and various types of income beyond that of a standard full-time employee.

While the 1099 issue may seem arcane, a failure to Nancy Killefer withdrew her nomination as Obama's Chief Performance Officer and U.S. district court Judge Kimba Wood of New York, withdrew from consideration as Bill Clinton's attorney general over similar issues. The IRS tends to take the matter seriously. As for any campaign record retention, as confirmed by the Florida's Division of Elections, that is covered under Florida Statute 106.06.

Oppose Internet Censorship Bill: CISPA

Attempts to gain control of the Internet, or to implement government censorship of the Internet, continue at an amazing frequency and intensity. An example of this is the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA), H.R. 3523, with 106 cosponsors, which has been moved out of committee and is ready to be taken up on the floor of the House later this week.

CISPA is being framed as essential to national security. Tech giants like Facebook, AT&T, IBM, Microsoft, and Verizon favor the bill, unlike SOPA and PIPA which they opoosed and which had tech companies enforcing government policy. This measure includes an exemption of liability for those companies who take part in CISPA’s government information exchange; tech companies would be protected from any responsibility associated with regulating users.

The nuts and bolts of CISPA would have the Director of National Intelligence appoint members of the “intelligence community” as monitors of communications. First, government security clearances for employees of private firms would be granted. Then exchanges of information between government and private companies would be considered “proprietary information” as the search for “cyber threat intelligence” would be on.

Cyber threat intelligence is defined as “information in the possession of an element of the intelligence community directly pertaining to a vulnerability of, or threat to, a system or network of a government or private entity, including information pertaining to the protection of a system or network from: (1) efforts to degrade, disrupt, or destroy such system or network; or (2) theft or misappropriation of private or government information, intellectual property, or personally identifiable information.”

The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), dedicated to defending constitutional rights in the digital world has analyzed CISPA’s vague terms:

“An ISP could use it to monitor communications of subscribers for potential infringement of intellectual property. An ISP could even interpret this bill as allowing them to block accounts believed to be infringing, block access to websites like The Pirate Bay believed to carry infringing content, or take other measures provided they claimed it was motivated by cybersecurity concerns.

"The language of ‘theft or misappropriation of private or government information’ is equally concerning. Regardless of the intent of this language, the end result is that the government and Internet companies could use this language to block sites like WikiLeaks and NewYorkTimes.com, both of which have published classified information.”

Your ISP could intercept every email or text message you send and notify the government of the content of your personal communications under the umbrella of “cybersecurity” concerns. Also, under CISPA, a warrantless cyber wiretapping program totally disregarding the Fourth Amendment protections could become routine.

Another troubling provision in the bill is the one that “supersedes any statute of a State or political subdivision of a State that restricts or otherwise expressly regulates” the new government/private sector information exchange spy program. No state nullification for government cyber spying would be allowed!

Ex-White House "Cyber Czar" Richard Clarke has even recommended that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) be empowered to monitor everything that goes in and out of America’s online infrastructure. But even worse, Clarke says if Congress won’t acquiesce in the matter, this all-encompassing monitoring authority for the DHS could be established by circumvention: “If Congress will not act to protect America’s companies from Chinese cyberthreats, President Obama must.”

Internet freedom lovers and civil rights patriots need to unite to educate others and especially Congressmen on the censorship and privacy rights dangers of CISPA immediately. Many supposed “conservatives” in Congress are in favor of this bill, such as Michelle Bachmann (Minn.), Darrell Issa (Calif.), Dave Camp (Mich.), Patrick Henry (N.C.), Mike Rogers (Mich.), Fred Upton (Mich.), Joe Wilson (S.C.) and Joe Pitts (Pa.).

NEVER BEFORE OR SINCE IN AN AMERICAN COURT:

In March 1912 Floyd Allen was convicted of assault in Hillsville, Virginia. He and his kin believed the courthouse gang had transformed this prosecution into a persecution. When the guilty verdict was announced, Floyd stood up & said, "Gentlemen, I ain't a goin'."

No one knows who fired first, but a gun battle broke out in the crowded courtroom. Five people were killed outright, two died later, and Floyd was wounded. The Allens fled to the hills, setting loose the greatest manhunt of the time, led by the infamous Baldwin-Felts Detective Agency. Floyd and his 22 year old son Claude were executed a year later. Four other family members served long prison sentences, and one was murdered. Thomas Moore has written a novel version of the Hillsdale massacre entitled "No Villains, No Heroes." It's a tale about the true meaning of law and justice, and the deadly dangers of runaway government & rouge police.

You can order a copy signed by the author from www.ThomasMooreBooks.com. While you're there, take a look at Tom's unforgettable novel, "The Hunt For Confederate Gold." You won't be able to forget either of these great books. Without any qualification, I highly recommend them both.

In 1958, America accidentally dropped a nuclear weapon on two little girls’ playhouse

Via Paul

For certain rural residents of the Carolinas during the Cold War, apocalyptic anxiety hit disturbingly close to home. In 1958 and 1961, the American Air Force lost nuclear weapons over the skies of South and North Carolina, respectively, raining potential apocalypse on the folks below.
In both incidents, complete catastrophe was avoided thanks to that ever-potent combination of foresight and unmitigated dumb luck. And in the former incident, the bomb fell square on some unsuspecting children's playhouse.

The first accident occurred over Florence, South Carolina on March 11, 1958, slightly after 4:30 in the afternoon. An American B-47E bomber was flying from Savannah, Georgia to Bruntingthorpe Air Base in England for exercises — onboard was a Mark 6 30-kiloton fission bomb.

After experiencing some mid-flight difficulties with the bomb's locking pin, Captain Bruce Kulka entered the aircraft's bomb bay to inspect the device. It was at this very moment that the dark slapstick inadvertently started. Recounts American Heritage magazine of the Kubrickian scene that unfolded next:

Outraged Mom: TSA Treated My Little Girl Like a Terrorist

The Transportation Security Administration is once again under fire after news leaked of how the agency threatened to close an entire airport because a 4-year-old girl hugged her grandmother.

The girl’s mother, Michelle Brademeyer, posted a harrowing account of the incident on her Facebook page, saying officers implied a gun was passed during the brief embrace.

Brademeyer’s daughter, Isabella, ran over to her grandma after the older woman had triggered alarms as she went through security at Wichita Airport in Kansas, she wrote. The family was on its way home to Montana after a family wedding.

Michelle Brademeyer said she and her two daughters passed through the screening with no incident, but her mother set off the alarm and was asked to take a seat and wait to be patted down.

It was then that the little girl ran over to her grandmother to give her a hug, said Brademeyer. “They made very brief contact, no longer than a few seconds. The Transportation Security Officers [TSO] who were present responded to this very simple action in the worst way imaginable,” she wrote.

“First, a TSO began yelling at my child, and demanded she too must sit down and await a full body pat-down. I was prevented from coming any closer, explaining the situation to her, or consoling her in any way. My daughter, who was dressed in tight leggings, a short sleeve shirt and mary jane shoes, had no pockets, no jacket and nothing in her hands. The TSO refused to let my daughter pass through the scanners once more, to see if she too would set off the alarm.

Catholic Bishops Call For Two Weeks of Action Against Obama

Roman Catholic leaders are calling for two weeks of public protests against President Barack Obama's policies as they intensify their argument that the administration is engaged in a war on religion.

The days between June 21 and July 4 have been set aside by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops which has sought to end the administration's contraception mandate, among other policies.

The protests against the Obama administration’s policies could be “the game-changer” in the presidential election, one leading lay churchman told Newsmax on Tuesday.

The protests, dubbed “A Fortnight for Freedom” will be an “unprecedented, aggressive attack” against policies that church leaders see as an assault on religious freedom, said Catholic Advocate chairman Deal Hudson.

Occupy Wall Street (OWS) Training: Their Target is the Tea Party

Hundreds of OWS training workshops took place this month throughout the country, in all 50 states, including small rural areas. Inside one of the training workshops, attendees report that OWS is “specifically instructed to go to any and all Tea Party gatherings, rallies, etc., to be confrontational and create havoc and disruption.”

They are being trained to recruit and enlarge their numbers in their assigned geographic locations, to use the correct messaging, to incite any opponents, engage in confrontation, employ tactics to evade police blockades and create gridlock.

OWS workshops are extremely organized and clearly well funded. Each workshop had a trainer, DVD’s, handouts and a training manual.

OWS has deep pockets and they will be providing food, water, entertainment and more… just as we saw last Fall with the gourmet meals, tents, hotel rooms and printing presses for their newspapers.
OWS is not a grassroots movement, as demonstrated by the training, resources and coordination at their workshops. OWS is orchestrated and organized by George Soros’ MoveOn.org and Media Matters, Van Jones, Steve Lerner, Francis Fox-Piven, Barack Obama, Union leaders (e.g. SEIU, AFL/CIO, UAW), Communist Party USA (CPUSA), Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) and other radical far-left anti-American organizations who are dedicated to the destruction of our free market system and the overthrow of our Constitutional form of government.

Eric Holder, Barack Obama, the Democrat Party – including the Marxist/Communist members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus – and the news and print media are all in bed with OWS. Ordinary Americans cannot and should not expect that OWS will be held accountable for inciting riots, raping women (as they did the last time around) or for any other crimes they may commit.

Breivik: Victims legitimate targets

Norway: Breivik Offers Apology to Non-Political Victims
He reiterated that the youngsters attending a summer camp hosted by the ruling Labour Party's youth wing were "legitimate targets", since he claims they were "political activists" working for the "deconstruction of Norwegian society" through the multiculturalism he insists is leading to a "Muslim invasion" of the country.

Norway Killer Picked Victims Who Had “Leftist” Look
"Certain people look more leftist than others," Anders Behring Breivik said on the sixth day of a trial that has transfixed Norway, explaining how he picked off "Marxists" with his rifle and pistol while passing over a young man he thought looked conservative.

Google Books lists Bill Ayers as author of Dreams from My Father

Google, which sits atop more data than anybody outside the NSA, is presenting Bill Ayers as the author of Barack Obama's purported first autobiography, Dreams from My Father. Follow this link and see it while you can. If it is gone by the time you read this, a screen shot of the page, and a close-up on the Dreams entry are provided for posterity.

Google knows so much about us already that privacy activists are alarmed. What data are its algorithms sifting through to come to the conclusion that yes, the stylistic parallels to Ayers' other books are formidable and Barry never showed any sign of an ability to write this way before or after, and yes, Christopher Anderson's friendly biography includes the information that Obama found himself deeply in debt and "hopelessly blocked." At "Michelle's urging," Obama "sought advice from his friend and Hyde Park neighbor Bill Ayers."

So the company that supposedly knows more about us than we know ourselves also knows who wrote Dreams from My Father.

Fighting Without Two Arms

In all great struggles for the fate of a nation or people, whether it is a reactionary or revolutionary struggle, there movement seeking change must have two separate but interdependent arms, that is, the “political” and the martial.  A political ideology without the means to implement it is not much more than an intellectual exercise or a suggestion; a violent movement without a “political” arm is not much more than a criminal gang.
A resistance movement must have two well-developed "arms" with which to attack the enemy and turn the enemy's efforts against him.  A weightlifter risks injury if his body is not equally developed, and a man with only one arm is at a severe disadvantage in a fight.  Likewise, these two arms must work in concert to advance the cause.  Both arms have to put forth everything in a bench press, or one side is overloaded and the lift fails.  Likewise, a martial artist's arms need to work together to grapple, to deflect, to strike, and to block.
The two arms need to be balanced in strength and used in a cooperative manner, or that bar is coming down on your head.
The "martial" arm is fairly straightforward, and consists, for the sake of simplicity, of that wing conducting covert and direct actions.  The "political" arm might not seem so straightforward.  First, let's define "political" and "politics".
