So, now what?

MY COMMENTARY ON
"TRIUMPH OF THE WILL"

I just finished watching a 1934 Nazi propaganda film, "TRIUMPH OF THE WILL", on cable television, and it has stimulated some personal observation.

First, the film was very well done, and I can readily sympathize with any young German, unemployed, impoverished, disillusioned, and without hope, living in a defeated nation plagued with violent crime, civil disorder, economic uncertainty, and harshly penalized by other nations.

Under those trying circumstances, it is little wonder that the majority of average German citizens would respond positively to the appeal generated by Adolph Hitler and National Socialism.

Secondly, what really bothers me, is what we Americans have become.

Whether it is called Nazism, Fascism, Communism, Marxism, Socialism, Democracy, or the New World Order, the resulting tyranny is the same.

Since the principles of tyranny are so similar throughout all periods of history and in every geographical clime, I prefer to designate all of these movements with just one name, i.e., the Satanic Conspiracy, because these various despotic tyrannies are universally in open rebellion against Almighty God, liberty, intelligence, and righteousness.

I find it ironic that barely half a century has passed since the United States fought a world war against Nazi Germany, while today our contemporary American society has enthusiastically embraced and acclaimed each and every one of Adolph Hitler's ideals.

As I list these items, I will only occasionally add an explanatory note.

I would assume that if you are able to read this message, then you are as cognizant as I am of current events.

The major difficulty in postulating these views is the age differential.

(As of Saturday 28 January 2012) I am sixty-six years old, and I can remember how radically different America used to be, just within my own lifetime.

But, younger people haven't any idea of what I'm talking about, because they have lived their entire lives knowing nothing other than the system under which we now live.

But, here is how we have emulated the Nazis:

01 - Total control by the federal government of all private enterprise.

Privately owned businesses are supervised and regulated by a number of government bureaucracies.

02 - Total control by the federal government of all personal income.

Financial institutions are legally required to cooperate with the federal government in reporting sources and dispositions of personal income.

03 - Total regulation and financial subsidies of agriculture, including market price controls.

04 - Dissolution of the traditional nuclear family.

Currently, almost all mothers (many of whom are unmarried) work outside the home, and children are tended in government regulated day care centers.

05 - Rejection, ridiculing, demonizing, and penalization of traditional organized religion, specifically orthodox Judaism and Christianity.

06 - Revival of pagan and occult traditions and rituals.

Even the United States Army has been ordered to provide chaplain services to groups engaged in witchcraft.

Much of the contemporary "New Age" ecology movement embraces ancient paganism.

Not only did the Nazi Party loathe all established churches, but Adolph Hitler and his lieutenants used the occult and Teutonic paganism to promote their Nazi agenda.

07 - Systematic executions of innocent human beings, i.e., abortion and euthanasia.

I don't even like the concept of the popular "Living Will".

Life is just too sacred.

Had he not signed a "Living Will", President Nixon could have been revived and his intellectual faculties restored, for his coma and death was due to an easily controllable brain hemorrhage.

08 - Acceptance and promotion of homosexuality and paedophilia.

Although the Nazis are accused of persecuting and liquidating homosexuals, many of the Nazis themselves are believed to have been practicing homosexuals and paedophiliacs.

Indeed, it is thought that this was one of the reasons behind the "Night of the Long Knives", when Hitler had his SA supporters arrested or murdered by his SS.

09 - Control of speech.

Today, we contemporary Americans are afflicted with the curse of "political correctness".

10 - Racial preferences and racial quotas.

I am personally resentful at being continually demonized because I am a white male with religious values, and I am angry that black people are permitted to use their so-called racial or ethnic heritage to justify ignorance, immorality, wickedness, and felonious activity.

11 - Gun control.

The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution was not intended for hunters, sportsmen, collectors, hobbyists, competitive target-shooters, or even personal protection from criminals, although each of those things are benefits.

The sole purpose of our constitutionally guaranteed inalienable right to keep and carry firearms is so we, the people, possess the means necessary for armed revolt against tyranny from our own government.

12 - Control of education.

Public schools are financed with government funds and regulated by government bureaucracies.

Students are indoctrinated with politically correct propaganda, and individual dissent and initiative is discouraged or suppressed.

The effect upon graduation are subliterate, socially conditioned alumni.

True academic objective learning is currently only available through home schooling and in some private institutions.

13 - Media control.

Isn't it interesting that all television channels, radio stations, and news periodicals seem to report the same items and issue nearly identical editorial opinions?

Even designated entertainment programs, such as situation comedies, always include a bit of socially approved propaganda within the script.

14 - Federal control of local police.

15 - Technical emulation of the Nazis.

These are just amusingly interesting minor coincidences, i.e., our United States interstate freeway system copies the German autobahn, and both were constructed for the same reason, to facilitate rapid military transport in time of war.

The M-60 machine gun is a carbon copy of the German machine gun used in the Second World War, and our United States Armed Forces now wear the "Fritz" style helmet worn by the Wermacht in World War Two.

If you really want to stretch the point, one might comment about the current proliferation of black uniforms in police agencies.

What is truly horrifying about all this is that it has not been imposed at gunpoint (with the exception of forced racial integration), but has been hysterically demanded by the overwhelming majority of our population.

So, now what?

Issa: "I believe the NPS has allowed protesters to camp indefinitely for ideological reasons."

Quote via Survival

"The bravest are surely those who have the clearest vision of what is before them, glory and danger alike, and yet notwithstanding, go out to meet it.”
-- Thucydides

The head of the National Park Service defended his decision to let Occupy protesters camp out in a park in the middle of Washington, D.C., though he said Tuesday the group will be given one last warning before being evicted.

NPS Director Jonathan Jarvis testified to the House Oversight and Government Reform subcommittee on the District of Columbia that protests are a right under the First Amendment, although he acknowledged that some homeless people "have taken advantage of the situation."

He added that this is not the first time the Park Service has allowed protesters to remain for weeks at a site.

"Whatever they are protesting is irrelevant to our decisions. Our decisions are based on the totality" of the circumstances, he said.

But Republican lawmakers, who questioned whether Jarvis' decisions were politically motivated, said an exception had been made for a group that for all intents and purposes is camping, not protesting, and contended that the National Park Service was unequally enforcing the law.

"It's not your job to determine which protest group, how to treat protest groups differently. They are breaking the law. Why aren't you enforcing the law?" asked Rep. Joe Walsh, R-Ill.

State of Disunion

We know that the state of the union is good no matter how many Americans are out of work, how many families are counting every penny, how many industries are falling off a cliff and how high the national debt gets. We know it's good so long as another politician takes a victory lap up to the podium and tells us that it's all good because he's here.

Iraq? Nothing to worry about. We just brought all the troops home. Sure it's breaking up into a civil war, but you won't hear about it on the news. Osama bin Laden is no longer a threat, but his allies have taken over Egypt and Tunisia, and are moving on Libya. The Taliban's momentum has been broken and they are on the verge of taking over the government which means they will finally have been defeated. These achievements are a testament to a military which is facing the biggest budget cuts in decades.

The American soldier is a role model to us. I take away his weapons, fire him, put him on trial and force him to marry his bunkmate to show his tolerance, and he never complains because he's not allowed to. The rest of you need to take a lesson from him. Stop complaining or I'll send you to a military tribunal.

Now it's time for an applause break. We need to spend more money funding college degrees and political indoctrination for everyone. More applause. Only by creating more unemployed people with six figure student debts working at McD's will we be able to restore the post WW2 economy that was built on manufacturing jobs which my administration is working hard to completely eliminate.

More applause? No you shouldn't have.

The Ron Paul Media Blackout Is Back On

Via The Battle of Atlanta

After a brief spike in interest, the mainstream media coverage of GOP candidate Ron Paul is back to nearly nothing, according to the Pew Research Center's Project for Excellence in Journalism. This week, less than 5 percent of all campaign stories focused on Paul, the lowest point since Dec. 11. when strong performances in Iowa and New Hampshire helped stoke some interest. Over the same period, Paul's performance in the polls has only improved, going from the single digits to 12.7 percent, putting him nearly even with Rick Santorum, in the current RealClearPolitics average.

When you can't do what you want...

That is one of the lessons I've learned is essential to success in the military, "when you can't do what you want, do what you can."

If you want to take a hill, you literally "can't" do that until you have done the things you have to do to enable that. Set a support by fire position, called for indirect, set up an echelon of fires that lets you get within halitosis range before turning off your support. If you just try to take the hill you and your men will get slaughtered.

So do what you can. This post is brought to you by John Mosby http://mountainguerrilla.blogspot.com/2012/01/public-service-announcement.html since I would like to add on to and wax poetic about what keyboard commandos (and even seasoned professionals) don't know about an insurgency.

If you are a middle aged (I'm in my thirties now, it used to be that 30 was old, but now it is the new 20 I've been told) guy like me you can probably still hump a ruck enough to keep up with the 18-23 year olds that make up the Infantry. But it hurts like hell and that is why they give CO's and 1SG's humvees to roll around the battlefield.

Now my father is a machinist (I have mentioned this before). I don't expect him to put on a rucksack and leave my mom to go play guerilla in the woods any time soon. But who do you think I turn to when I need a rifle repaired? I

The Head-Shot Cadence Drill

Via Western Rifle Shooters Association

Gunsite Instructor Il Ling New believes one of the best ways to train with a defensive handgun is to practice head shots at moderate to extended ranges; meaning as far out as 20 yards. At first glance this may seem a bit extreme but consider that if you can consistently and quickly get heads shots at these distances, center punching a troll at between three and five yards should be easy.

The most common way to practice head shots is to draw from the holster and fire a single shot at the head of a target. Action Target’s Steel Hostage Target works great for this because you can use either the square head of the silhouette or the flapper head that will swing from side to side when hit. This flapper target actually adds a new dimension to head shot training that is impossible to achieve just about any other way.

Nashville airport video doesn't show 'irate' Sen. Rand Paul

Via California Tree of Liberty

A security video of U.S. Sen. Rand Paul at a Nashville International Airport checkpoint doesn’t show him being “irate,” as police asserted.

The Kentucky Republican ran afoul of a millimeter-wave screening machine Monday morning that went off as he tried to enter the airport terminal. Transportation Security Administration officials asked him to undergo a pat-down, but he refused.

An incident report describes the police response as encountering “a passenger being irate.” But videos released by the Metro Airport Authority late Wednesday show Paul entering the security line at 7:57 a.m. and then alternately sitting and standing in a glass cubicle while being watched by authorities. Paul appears to make a few phone calls as well.

The Feds Had Better Stop Alabama…Before Everyone There Has a Job!

Oh no! It’s happened again. Alabama’s unemployment rate continues to plummet.

Ever since Alabama began implementing its immigration enforcement law, H.B. 56, in late September, the state’s unemployment rate has been dropping like a stone. In just the first month the law was in effect, unemployment in Alabama shrank from 9.8 percent of the workforce to 9.3 percent. And now the latest figures are in…and the news couldn’t be worse (for the Obama administration, the illegal alien lobby, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce that is): Alabama’s unemployment rate checked in at 8.1 percent in December. That’s more than a 17 percent reduction since September.

The Decline of the American Empire

In fact that civilization will always take steps to marginalize it, even destroy it if necessary, a fact that Berman illustrates in a chapter on the antebellum South. He shows how the South was "the one example we have of an opponent of [the dominant] ideology that had real political teeth," and blatantly opted for a life premodern (indeed "neofeudal"), agrarian, slow, conservative, and honoring tradition, honor, chivalry, and hospitality more than making a buck or inventing a gadget. This ultimately the increasingly industrial and expansive North could not stand and so began a war to destroy it. "The treatment of the South by the North," Berman says, "was the template for the way the United States would come to treat any nation it regarded as an enemy: not merely a scorched earth policy, but also a ‘scorched soul’ policy’" that it would use in Hawaii, the Philippines, Cuba, Japan, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, and anywhere else it could achieve it.

Issa demands access to second 'Fast and Furious' US Attorney

“Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa demanded in [a] letter to Attorney General Holder that the Justice Department make Arizona U.S. Attorney’s Office Assistant United States Attorney Michael Morrissey available to speak with Committee investigators about his role in and knowledge of Operation Fast and Furious,” a release issued moments ago by the committee reveals:

His supervisor, Patrick Cunningham, has stated he will exercise his Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer any questions pertaining to Operation Fast and Furious – such an assertion is extremely rare and suggests possible criminal culpability on the part of a high ranking Justice Department official. Morrissey, who reported directly to Cunningham’s and was intimately involved with Operation Fast and Furious.

“Since August, the Department has identified Patrick Cunningham as the best person in the U.S. Attorney’s Office to provide information about Fast and Furious to the Committee,” Issa said in his letter to Holder. “The Department has refused to make Michael Morrissey and Emory Hurley, both Assistant United States Attorneys supervised by Mr. Cunningham, available to speak with the Committee, citing a policy of not making “line attorneys” available for congressional scrutiny. Mr. Morrissey, however, was Mr. Hurley’s direct supervisor, and an integral part of Fast and Furious. Importantly, both Morrissey and Hurley are unique in their possession of key factual knowledge about Fast and Furious not readily available from any other source.”

The Chairman also reiterated that the Justice Department still has not complied with the subpoenas issued to date, including subpoenaed documents from Cunningham, Morrissey and Hurley.

"You do so at your own peril.” - Georgia Secretary of State to Obama & lawyer

Via On to Liberty

President Obama will ignore an order by an Atlanta judge to appear in court Thursday for a hearing in a case challenging his qualifications under the Constitution to be president.

According to the White House, Obama will continue with his current trip out West, starting the day in Las Vegas and then continuing on to Buckley Air Force Base in Aurora, Colorado before heading to Detroit where he will spend the night.

The Associated Press reported last week that the judge had denied a motion to quash a subpoena for the president to show up for the hearing, which is scheduled for 9 am ET. Obama may still be sleeping – it will only be 6 am in Las Vegas.

The case centers on whether Obama, whose father was Kenyan, qualifies as a “natural born citizen,” as required of a president under the Constitution. Some contend that “natural born citizen” means both of a presidential candidate’s parents must be U.S. citizens.

The Atlanta lawsuit would deny Obama the right to participate in the March 6 Georgia Democratic primary, though backers of the suit clearly hope to establish a precedent that would help make a national issue over whether Obama can serve as president.

Alaska Sovereign Citizens Indicted On Murder Conspiracy Charges

Via Fight the Power

Schaeffer Cox and two of his followers in the Alaska Peacemaker Militia appeared in court on Monday expecting to file more motions to dismiss the charges against them. Instead they were greeted with additional indictments by a federal grand jury charging them with conspiring to kill government officials, including law enforcement officers.

According to the latest indictment, Cox and company did “knowingly, willfully, and unlawfully conspire and agree together” to “kill, with premeditation and malice aforethought, officers and employees of the United States, including law enforcement officers.”

The maximum sentence for the charges is life in prison.

The charges stem from an alleged plot that came to light in March of last year, when Cox, Coleman Barney and Lonnie Vernon were first arrested. At the time, each was charged with conspiracy to commit murder at the state level, and were indicted for several weapons charges at the federal level. The state charges were eventually thrown out.

Cox is a self-described “sovereign citizen” and leader of the Alaska Peacemaker Militia and Alaska Assembly Post. He also is the “Secretary of Defense” for the national Assembly Post, and Commander-in-Chief” of the “several States of the United States of America.” Barney and Vernon are also “officers” in the Militia and Alaska Assembly Post.

Rich Russians 'bribed their way onto Costa Concordia's lifeboats by stuffing wads of cash into crew members pockets'

Via Theo Spark

Rich Russians stuffed wads of cash into the pockets of Costa Concordia crew members to bribe them for coveted places on the lifeboats, it has been claimed.

Italian investigators are looking into eyewitness accounts that 'expensively dressed Eastern Europeans' paid off staff as 'the disabled were left to fend for themselves'.

Giglio resident Franca Anichini also said the first residents to reach dry land on lifeboats were not 'wounded women and children' - instead, she saw 'healthy men and elegant women in evening gowns who were speaking Russian' being the first to be saved, RadarOnline.com reported.

The claims came as dramatic pictures emerged showing accounts describing the disaster's aftermath as like a scene from the Titanic were not far wrong.

Somali pirates chop off hostage captain’s arm to elicit $3m ransom

Somali pirates have started to cut off their hostages' limbs in a bid to extract even greater ransoms from the owners of the ships they capture.

The horrific new tactic was used last Friday on the Vietnamese captain of a ship being held in the Somali pirate lair of Haradhere.

Chao-I Wu's right arm was cut off after negotiations to pay a $3million ransom for his fishing ship, the FV Shiuh Fu-1, broke down.

Afterwards, the pirates allowed Mr Wu's fellow crew members to call their families and describe what had happened.

'This group of pirates were allowed the crew to call their relatives for only a few minutes - just long enough to tell their families about the amputation.

'They begged their relatives to pay and some of them were crying.

'It was a message to the owner and their families that if the owners don't pay this amount of ransom they will hurt another crew member', a pirate source told the Somalia Report news service.

Vietnamese newspaper Tuoi Tre News reported that crew member Tran Van Hung called his father to say that he had seen the pirates chop off the captain's arm.

The pirates had also repeatedly beat him and the deputy captain, Mr Hung added.

The woman, who’s identity has not been revealed, was taken away in an ambulance after being assaulted for 10 minutes. Her husband reportedly was unable to intervene and witnessed the incident.

“I saw the woman and then dozens of men surrounded her and started grabbing her, when she screamed for help some people came, but they were hit in the face,” wrote one witness.

What happened next was “appalling,” said the trusted witness, who asked for anonymity. “The men just started tearing at her clothes and grabbing her body all over. When she fought back, they pushed her. It was chaos.”

The Audacity of Deceit: Notes on the State of the Union

Knowing President Obama’s Alinskyite proclivities, his third State of the Union address – coming as it did amidst a reelection campaign – could have been predicted to be filled with lofting, sometimes inspiring but routinely bait-and-switch rhetoric. Even so, his exploitation of the U.S. military for nakedly political purposes translates into an extreme plumbing of what might be called his audacity of deceit.

If the President had been simply paying homage to the amazing men and women in uniform and extolling their courage, patriotism and selflessness, that would have been one thing. It would have been understandable, even commendable, to have cited such qualities in a call for legislators to come together as our troops do to accomplish the difficult missions at hand.

The fact that Mr. Obama wrapped such comments – literally as the opening and closing bookends for his speech – around so many distortions, misrepresentations and outright falsehoods about our national security situation, however, transforms what might have been a welcome presidential paean to the armed forces into a further betrayal of our troops.

Let’s start with his portrayal of the “end of the war in Iraq.”

Gov. Beverly Perdue, facing a hard fight for a second term, said Thursday that she will not seek re-election, choosing to focus her energy on fighting for a sales tax increase to fund education.

The first woman elected governor in North Carolina, Perdue faced a potential rematch against former Charlotte Mayor Pat McCrory, a Republican whom she narrowly defeated in 2008 in the state's closest gubernatorial contest since 1972. Perdue's win was partly attributed to Barack Obama's surprise win in North Carolina.

Arizona House Speaker to ‘Put Some Light on Fast and Furious’

As I wrote in a post for Big Government this past Sunday, January 22, the Arizona’s legislature has decided once more to do the job the feds won’t do, and has launched its own investigation into Fast and Furious. And during an appearance on FOX NEWS this morning, Arizona House Speaker Andy Tobin explained why they’ve taken this step. He said that constituents were flooding their offices with questions about the gun-running operation, and he said one recurring question was, “You’re not waiting for the feds [to do something] are you?” He then said the answer to that question was “No.”

This is an incident that occurred on Arizona soil, with Arizona business owners, [where we lost] an Arizona agent (Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry), and quite frankly we felt it needed a lot more attention. We felt our citizens needed a place to go to share their stories. Maybe there’s more there. This was a failed program right from the start and I think the idea is to put more light on it.

Tobin explained that as he’s watched this story unfold, and learned about the tactics used in Fast and Furious, it just hasn’t made sense: “I’m from the family of a law enforcement officer and I don’t think that the process by which they were going was the direction in which we fight back on border security and drug infiltration.”

He went on to explain that the Arizona House has been disappointed in the way Eric Holder has handled things up till now, and added:

North Carolina Death Row Inmate Writes Letter About Life of 'Leisure'

Via Billy

A convicted murderer on death row in North Carolina wrote a taunting letter to his hometown newspaper about his life of "leisure" in prison and making a mockery of the legal system.

Danny Robbie Hembree Jr. was found guilty of murdering 17-year-old Heather Catterton in 2009 and was sentenced to death on Nov. 18, 2011.

Hembree, 50, is on death row at Central Prison in Raleigh, N.C., but he's not looking for any pity in the letter he sent to The Gaston Gazette.

"Is the public aware that I am a gentleman of leisure, watching color TV in the A.C., reading, taking naps at will, eating three well balanced hot meals a day," Hembree asked in the letter. "I'm housed in a building that connects to the new 55 million dollar hospital with round the clock free medical care 24/7."

He also asks if the public knows that the chances of his "lawful murder" taking place in the next 20 years, if ever, are "very slim."

Hembree has also been accused of killing two other women. One was 30-year-old Randi Dean Saldana, whose burnt remains were found near Blacksburg, S.C. in 2009. The other was 30-year-old Deborah Ratchford, whose body was found in 1992.

He admitted to taking drugs and having sex with Catterton and Saldana on the days they died, but told jurors he did not kill them or dispose of their bodies, according to ABC News' Raleigh-Durham affiliate WTVD. He is scheduled to go on trial for Saldana's killing in March.

Hembree confessed to killing the three women during recorded police interviews, but later said the confessions were an attempt to cover up a string of armed robberies, according to the Gaston Gazette.

In the letter, Hembree also mocks the judicial system.

"I laugh at you self righteous clowns and I spit in the face of your so called justice system. The state of North Carolina has sentenced me to death but it's not real," he wrote.

President John Tyler's Grandchildren Are Still Alive

Via Kimberly

Try to do the math on this: John Tyler, born in 1790, became the 10th president of the United States, taking office in 1841 after the death of William Henry Harrison. And two of his grandchildren are still alive!

Of course, not much from Tyler's time is still around. In the year of his birth, President George Washington gave the first State of the Union address and Thomas Jefferson served as his secretary of state.

In Europe, a young upstart 2nd lieutenant named Napoleon Bonaparte was making a name for himself in the French Revolution.

And in the realm of technological innovation, one of the most successful innovators of that age, Harvey Kennedy, invented the shoelace.

In Tyler's life between 1790 and 1862, he fathered 15 children, and two of his grandsons are still living, reports mentalfloss.com.

A 65-year-old man who was knocked off his bicycle by three teenagers on a Pennsylvania trail shot two of them, killing one, police said according to reports.

The Reading Eagle newspaper said the wounded teen, 16, was taken to hospital and the third, aged 15, was taken in for questioning and was later committed to a youth center.

The paper said the mother of the slain boy, 16, asked officials not to release his name until she had been able to tell other members of the family what happened.

The incident happened on the Thun Trail near a bridge over the Schuylkill River, between Reading and West Reading just after noon Wednesday.

"There was one juvenile who was shot and is deceased [and] another juvenile who was shot and is in surgery," Police Chief Jed Habecker said, according to a report by the WFMZ-TV station.

According to police, the 65-year-old was riding his bicycle when the teens knocked him to the ground, the station said.
