Happy Trayvon Martin Day!

User avatar

So, how did the kids celebrate Trayvon Martin day? Did their teachers help them prepare purple drank/Purple Lean/Lean/Sizzurp in the school lab? Did the children stick their tongues out as they carefully mixed Promethazine/Codeine cough syrup and Sprite, or Arizona Watermelon, with Jolly Ranchers and/or Skittles thrown in?

Did they then go to the school cafeteria and solemnly consume the beverage in small sips, in order to avoid unconsciousness and/or life threatening overdose? And then, when it turned them violent, did they go outside and beat the crap out of some random cracker who dared roam the neighborhood?

Brett Kimberlin & The problem with violence

I don't have a dog in this fight, I'm not a law blogger. Heck I'm hardly a gun blogger.

But having spent the day sick in bed reading about those who have been affected by Brett Kimberlin's lawfare attempts to silence those who mention his criminal past I find it ironic that Barbara Streisand is one of the donors to Brett Kimberlin's non-profits.

You see the "Streisand Effect" is when someone wants to keep information hidden, and because of their actions that information gets spread further and wider than if they had just shut the hell up.

Now, "Lawfare" is a term about getting what you want through a legal mechanism instead of traditional military violence. But make no mistake, lawfare is deadly serious business, backed by the full power and might of the jack booted thugs of the state. And while I'm not a lawyer, I might know something about warfare.

There are two common principles of warfare that apply here, in my humble opinion. 1. Dominate the terrain. 2. Don't make yourself a target (also known as don't make it easy for the snipers).

All conflicts exist in terms of Time and Space, which we call "terrain." In this terrain there are always things that are advantageous and disadvantageous in terms of occupying a portion of said terrain. Brett Kimberlin keeps losing in court because he never has the high ground, all of his suits for defamation fall flat because the comments "perjurer, terrorist, suspected murderer" are in fact demonstrably true. Truth is a good high ground to have, especially if you can prove it. If you can't prove that you are true, then the next best thing is to prove that the other guy is false. Brett Kimberlin has proven himself to be full of falsehood over repeated court cases.

But Brett Kimberlin has an advantage in lawfare in that he has nothing to lose. As long as he stays in the fight he can harass people and take their time and money. This strategy is the same as all terrorists, the good guys have to win every time, but the terrorist only has to get lucky once. Simply dominating the terrain doesn't guarantee you'll win, but it makes it most likely the other guy won't.

Now as to the second principle, don't make yourself a target... Brett Kimberlin has quite handily made himself a target.

In Reversal, Army Bans High-Performance Rifle Mags

Via Survival

Oh no, we wouldn't want them to have a better means of defense.........

PMAG polymer M4 magazine

The Army has ordered that soldiers may use only government-issued magazines with their M4 carbines, a move that effectively bans one of the most dependable and widely used commercial-made magazines on today’s battlefield.

The past decade of war has spawned a wave of innovation in the commercial soldier weapons and equipment market. As a result, trigger-pullers in the Army, Marines and various service special operations communities now go to war armed with commercially designed kit that’s been tested under the most extreme combat conditions.

Near the top of such advancements is the PMAG polymer M4 magazine, introduced by Magpul Industries Corp. in 2007. Its rugged design has made it as one of the top performers in the small-arms accessory arena, according to combat veterans who credit the PMAG with drastically improving the reliability of the M4.

Despite the success of the PMAG, Army officials from the TACOM Life Cycle Management Command issued a “safety of use message” in April that placed it, and all other polymer magazines, on an unauthorized list.

The message did not single out PMAGs, but instead authorizes only the use of Army-issued aluminum magazines. The message offers little explanation for the new policy except to state that “Units are only authorized to use the Army-authorized magazines listed in the technical manuals.” Nor does it say what Army units should now do with the millions of dollars’ worth of PMAGs they’ve purchased over the years.

Magpul officials have been reluctant to comment on the issue. Robert Vidrine, vice president of marketing and sales, said the company found out about TACOM’s message only after it was released to the field.

The decision has left combat troops puzzled, since the PMAG has an Army-approved national stock number, which allows units to order them through the Army supply system.

“This just follows a long line of the Army, and military in general, not listening to the troops about equipment and weaponry,” said one Army infantryman serving in Southwest Afghanistan, who asked not to be identified.

“The PMAG is a great product … lightweight and durable. I have seen numerous special ops teams from all services pass through here, and they all use PMAGs. Also, a large amount of Marine infantry here use PMAGS, including their Force Recon elements.”

Survivability VS Sustainability

Surviving and living long term in the woods.

Dave looks at what it takes to live off the land long term rather than just a 72 hour emergency situation in the woods.

Dave's talk about blades alone is worth the time.

Dave's talk about trapping and getting food will make the difference between making it long term in the woods, or having to give in from starvation.

Dave's talk on cooking is great. Add that to the use of a Dakota Fire Pit and long term sustainability is a real possibility.

Southernprepper1 looks at Dakota Fire Pits.

I took a few days in the woods a while back and used all of these techniques and they work. They would work long term in a guerrilla warfare situation.

I also needed to link to a page on tools for use in a long term woodlands situation.

It is also by Dave Canterbury.

I carry a Victorinox officers model knife, a Leatherman Diesel, my K-Bar, or the home made improved version of a Tom Brown Tracker I designed, a short Axe, a SaberCut Saw, a Gerber saw and clipper set, and a E-tool, a pocket fishing kit, and a frog gig, and a spear tip.

Using those tools which are light weight, I could dig a bunker, a Trench, a Fighting hole, build a temporary shelter, or even a log cabin.

Knowing how to make, and fire clay pots and dishes mean I could make a semi-comfortable home in the woods for long term survivability.

Kentucky makes bass fishing a high school sport, second state to do so

Forget the xbox and grab the tackle box!

Starting next April, anglers will be able to participate in the official sport of bass fishing. The current competitive format would have two student-anglers fish from a boat that’s driven by an adult. The best five fish for each team member would be added up to determine a winner based on total weight.

Of course they will release all fish as in the professional bass fishing circuits.

“It’s one of those programs that initially people kind of laugh about and go, ‘Oh, you’re kidding me,’” Dave Gannaway, who helped Illinois high schools get a bass fishing championship, told Cincinnati.com.

North Carolina Patriots of ’61 Major James Martin Stevenson of Craven County

North Carolina War Between the States Sesquicentennial

"The Official Website of the North Carolina WBTS Sesquicentennial Commission"

James M. Stevenson, born in Craven County, entered the Confederate States army early in the war as a first lieutenant under Captain John J. Hedrick’s Cape Fear Light Artillery. Hedrick led the seizure of Forts Johnston and Caswell at the mouth of the Cape Fear River on 16 April, 1861, and Lt. Stevenson was ordered to Fort Caswell as ordnance officer. While there, three young Sampson men raised a company in their native county and offered Stevenson the captaincy, which he accepted. This company was attached to the 36th North Carolina Regiment and ordered to newly-constructed Fort Fisher, where Stevenson was promoted to the rank of major. Known as 2nd Company A, or “King’s Artillery,” after Stevenson’s promotion to major the company command fell to Lt. Robert Murphy of Sampson County, and thence known as “Murphy’s Battery.”

On November 22, 1864 he was ordered to take five batteries of the Thirty-sixth Regiment to Augusta, Georgia; they were subsequently engaged in December at Harrison’s Old Field fourteen miles from Savannah. In opposing Sherman’s advance to Savannah, Stevenson’s contingent of the Thirty-sixth North Carolina was commended for bravery and in covering General William Hardee’s retreat toward North Carolina.

Stevenson returned to Fort Fisher to command his regiment and arrived just after the first enemy attack in December 1864. On the 13th of January, 1865, the attack was renewed and in the battle Major Stevenson was hurled from the parapet by the explosion of an eleven-inch shell. Near-paralyzed and bleeding, he was captured and imprisoned at Fort Columbus, Governor’s Island, New York, where he died of his wounds on February 18.

James C. and Daniel S. were worthy sons of Major Stevenson, both entering the army when they were under the service age limit. James served on the North Carolina steamer Advance, and afterwards joining Company A. Thirty-sixth North Carolina. He survived the war and was for many years a prominent Wilmington merchant. Daniel entered the Confederate Signal Corps and was detailed to service on blockade runners. He was captured by the enemy in 1865 off Galveston and imprisoned until the end of hostilities. He died shortly after the war.

Tom Barrett Slams GOP on Women, Then Shares Stage with Misogynist “Gangsta Rapper

Via Gateway Pundit

“Sucka MCs” is filled with lines about “bitches who ride me” and “make a nigga comfortable,” because “cash make the women shake they asses” so “get (on) the tour bus, bitch.”

Ah, the Democrats and their “war on women.” At a May 19th rally for Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, who is running against Scott Walker in the closely-watched Wisconsin gubernatorial recall election, the “entertainment” consisted of a self-proclaimed “gangsta rapper” who performed demeaning, sexist raps about “bitches and hoes.”

Gotta love those progressive Dems!

The delicious irony here is that the rally, held at Washington Park in Milwaukee, was filled with self-righteous posturing from the speakers about how Republicans and “Tea Partiers” hate women. Obama buddy Van Jones opened the event (which was co-sponsored by Jones’ “Rebuild the Dream” organization and the SEIU) with a speech slamming GOP and Tea Party “haters.” Jones was followed by Barrett himself, who told the crowd that the recall is about reclaiming “our values.”

And then came a demonstration of those “values.”

Barrett was immediately followed on stage by rap “artist” Prophetic (aka “Proph”), to provide the day’s entertainment, as Barrett was off to the side of the stage gleefully shaking hands and taking pictures. The emcee gave a breathless plug to Proph’s new album, “Wool Over My Eyes”…

Here’s the cover of the album; real respectful toward women.

Defense: Homestead Case Study – Back to Terrain Pt.1

I know a lot of you have been waiting for this and I’ve gotten a lot of emails asking when I was going to get into the nuts and bolts of building a homestead defense plan. This is going to be the first entry in the series and for this one we’re going to go back to terrain for a while so we can get an appreciation of exactly what we’re defending. I’m not going to go into mitigating measures in this entry. We’ll talk about things like homemade Hescos, rocket screens, etc later on.

Ladies and gents I present the notional “Rancho Lizard”. Not a huge homestead by any means but still big enough to be pretty much self sustaining. It is located almost smack dab in the middle of our tribal AO and below I have depicted the property boundaries as shown by the lines and currently occupied homesteads are depicted by a star. Ours is the one inside of the property lines of course.

VETERAN CHALLENGES PRESIDENTS’ ABILITY TO CIRCUMVENT LAWS WITH SECRET EXECUTIVE ORDER

Michael_New_26

(Iredell, Texas, May 24, 2012) An American soldier who was court-martialed in 1996 for refusing to wear a United Nations uniform and deploy as a UN mercenary, has returned to court with new evidence which he believes will support his position that the orders were unlawful.

Attorneys for former Specialist Michael New filed a petition last week with the Army Court of Criminal Appeals, challenging the legality of the court-martial conviction which resulted in a Bad Conduct Discharge for SPC New, who was a medic with 3rd Infantry Division in Germany in 1995.

The Michael New Action Forum has released the following statement:

Media censored brutal racially motivated murder

Gardner’s live-in boyfriend told police he heard a struggle in the hallway and through a peephole he saw Henderson grab Gardner in a chokehold.

Story Image

VERBATIM POST

On May 19th, a beautiful twenty year old white female was murdered by three black men. It appears to be a thrill killing. The perps just killed her for the fun of it. She was a waitress at a seafood restaurant. Only a tip jar, with a small amount of money, was taken.

The brutal murder took place in Indiana. We only found two blips the media. The Chicago Sun-Times ran a small article, but censored the race of the suspects. A Fox station in Dallas, Texas also reported on it, but censored the race of the victim. You have to put both articles together to find out what really happened. The Fox station characterized the heinous murder as a robbery. The tiny amount of money stolen suggests it was a thrill killing.

She was beaten and strangled to death right in front of her apartment door. Her live-in boyfriend witnessed the attack and only called 911. A single household firearm would have saved his girlfriends’ life.

One of the suspects is a career criminal that was sentenced to six years in 2009.

If the races had been reversed, this would be a major national news story. Instead it is a “hush crime.”

My 10 Favorite Hate-Crime Hoaxes

LANGUAGE!

It was a tough week for racial witch hunters. In fact, it’s been a tough quarter-century for them. Reality keeps knocking the liberal media off its high horse. When they picked up the Trayvon Martin case, hordes of TV dupes donned hoods and said they, too, were all young black kids being murdered by racist vigilantes. Then we find out Zimmerman is some kind of Peruvian Jew and may have had his ass kicked by Trayvon before the shooting, so they drop it. They wanted Dharun Ravi to go jail for ten years for the hate crime of pranking his roommate, but the evidence left him serving 30 days for “colossal insensitivity.” When blacks are randomly assassinated in Oklahoma, the left quickly goes mute when they discover one of the shooters is Cherokee.

When a white couple is raped and dismembered in Knoxville, the media is suddenly deaf, dumb, and blind. When children get gang-raped but the bad guys are Muslim, even the police won’t touch it.

This kind of naiveté would be laughable if it wasn’t so deadly. In Louisiana, the Jena 6 were duped into pulverizing a kid based on a noose incident the media wrongly determined was about race. This fake story had a domino effect and years later we’re left with jail time and lawsuits. Countless violent attacks were committed on behalf of Trayvon, at least two of which left their victims (Dallas Watts and Matthew Owens) comatose.

“When you create a victim culture, you also create a vacuum where opportunistic parasites volunteer to fill the role and reap the rewards.”

Here are ten examples of fabricated “hate crimes” that fuck it up for those of us living in the real world.

Comment on: Convicted Bomber Brett Kimberlin, Neal Rauhauser, Ron Brynaert, and Their Campaign of Political Terrorism

Convicted Bomber Brett Kimberlin, Neal Rauhauser, Ron Brynaert, and Their Campaign of Political Terrorism

This is Blog About Kimberlin Day, so let's post away!

Brock:

Have I got a story for you...

I grew up in Speedway. I was just a kid when that commmie, kiddie-fondling coward Kimberlin set off those bombs..terrorizing our little town.

Carl DeLong was my little league football coach. He was a decorated Vietnam Army paratrooper, and a standup guy in all regards...kind, mentoring, like a second father to me. (I told his daughter this a few years ago via FaceBook. She was touched.)

He had at least two children that I know of...a son one year younger than me, and a daughter one year older than me...both delightful people who know how to treat their fellow man...which I think is a testament to how Carl and his wife raised their family.

The bomb that injured Carl Delong was in a Speedway High School gym bag in the parking lot of the high school.

One or more bombs had already detonated prior to this one, so folks were kinda on edge...

Anyhoo...it was after a Speewday football game at night, and Carl saw the gym bag in the parking lot. He walked up to it and jokingly said something like, "I bet it's a bomb."

Then he kicked it...

The town was further devastated by the results.

You probably know the rest of the Carl Delong story.

He was well-known and respected in our town.

It is my fervent hope that Kimberlin will spend eternity burning in hell.

Come and get me, Brett. For a change, take on somebody face-to-face who can fight back.

Yellow bastard.

NC: Larry Keller’s visit with Special Agents from the EPA

Larry Keller of Buncombe, GOP member and part of the WNC Objectivist group, had a horrible encounter with Big Brother feds. Below is the story. He will be on Peter Kaliner on Friday at 3 pm WWNC, 570.

Our Government at Work

On Wednesday, May 02, 2012 at about 1:45PM two Special Agents from the EPA and an armed police officer who stood 6’6” tall visited our house in Asheville, NC. Their visit was a total surprise as we had not received any communications requesting an appointment. The agents presented very official looking badges and asked if we could sit and chat awhile. We moved to the back porch and took our seats with the exception of the armed officer who stood by the door to the house the entire time.

Special Agent Michael Woods, who acted as the leader, then asked if I ran a business out of our house and if, what kind of business. What does that have to do with the EPA I thought.

Boy, 10, takes bullet in arm in attempt to save family from armed intruders

Via Guns Save Lives

A 10-year-old boy is being called a hero, for saving his family from gun-wielding intruders.

The boy was shot during a home invasion Wednesday in Valencia County near Tome, N.M. Family members said the boy is expected to be okay.

As of Thursday evening, New Mexico State Police were still searching for the two men who broke into the home.

Family members, who asked not to reveal their names, described being held at gunpoint inside the home, during what they are referring to as the scariest experience of their lives.

"I heard the thumping on the door, then I heard screaming, and then I heard, 'get on the ground!'," a 19-year-old sister said, as she described the chilling moments when two thugs could have killed her entire family.

The teenager was inside the home with her mom, a 24-year-old brother and younger brother, 10, when two men walked in through an unlocked front door.

"I ran up to them and I said, 'what are you doing,' and the man in the ski mask pointed a shot gun to my face, and told me to get on the ground," the older brother said.

Family members explained, their mother was hiding in a room with her 10-year-old son, trying to hold the door closed when the intruders busted through it, and grabbed the mom.

She was held with a gun pointed against her head in the living room, when her 10-year-old son lunged at the intruder with full force and tackled him to the ground.

At that moment, the suspect shot the boy point blank in his arm, below his elbow.

In this post you will hear that audio clip. You will also read about a months-long campaign of harassment carried out by at least three individuals: Ron Brynaert, Neal Rauhauser, and Brett Kimberlin — much of it directed at critics of Brett Kimberlin. This harassment includes repeated references to critics’ family members, workplace complaints, publication of personal information such as home addresses and pictures of residences, bogus allegations of criminal activity, whisper campaigns, frivolous legal actions, and frivolous State Bar complaints.

And finally, you will hear a comparison of one of those men’s voices to that of the man who made the call that sent police to my home. And you’ll read a declaration from a forensic audio expert comparing those two voices.

[O]ne of the things they’ve done to people who have worked with me in the past, including an L.A. prosecutor, is to “SWAT.” That means that they’re spoofing phones, pretending to be somebody else’s phone, calling 911, and saying “I killed somebody” and then the person’s home is met with the guns drawn, the SWAT and the helicopters, in a horrifying act. It’s happened twice: once in New Jersey, once in Los Angeles, with an L.A. County . . . prosecutor who [is] associated with me.”

I am that L.A. County prosecutor. And in this post, you’ll hear the hoax call that sent police to my house, pointing loaded guns at me.

Priest Removed From Ministry Due To Sex Abuse Allegations Now holds a sensitive security post @ Philadelphia International Airport

The CBS 3 I-Team has learned that a Catholic priest who was removed from the ministry over sex abuse allegations now holds a sensitive security post at Philadelphia International Airport.

The security checkpoint between Terminals D and E is a busy place where thousands of people – including lots of kids – pass through every day. But you might not believe who the I-Team observed working as a TSA supervisor at that checkpoint this week: Thomas Harkins.

Until 2002, Harkins was a Catholic priest working at churches across South Jersey. But the Diocese of Camden removed him from ministry because it found he sexually abused two young girls. Now, in a new lawsuit, a third woman is claiming she also is one of Harkins’ victims.

The I-Team asked Harkins about the suit as he was leaving his shift at the airport.

“I have nothing to say,” was Harkins’ reply.

Mr. Sebesta,

I checked the definition of neo-Confederate on Wikipedia. It appears that I must plead guilty to being a neo-Confederate. Over the years I have written letters and sent e-mails to Ken Burns, President Faust of Harvard, The Atlanta History Center, The Ford Theatre Society, and many others when I discovered historical errors in their writings and presentations. I try to be polite in my remarks but confess to using sarcasm at times.

A few years ago I attended a roundtable discussion on Lincoln sponsored by a local PBS station. I asked two of America's most famous Lincoln scholars a simple question. One never opened his mouth and the other gave a somewhat fatuous answer.

It seems that a lot of academics aren't used to being challenged, and when they are, they feel threatened. I would be happy to send you copies of some of my writings. You may use them as examples of neo-Confederate challenges to people who don't tell the truth or who are cherry picking facts to further an agenda. I am only a high school graduate and would be honored if you would use my material as written. Please forgive any errors in this e-mail, as I am vision impaired.

Boehner feeling the heat … time to keep the pressure on

House Republican leaders sent a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder last Friday demanding that he fork over the thousands upon thousands of documents that the Justice Department has continued to withhold from a congressional investigative committee.

In the letter, House Speaker John Boehner warned that the House will be prepared to “act to fulfill our constitutional obligations” if Holder continues stonewalling Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA), who is leading the investigation of Operation Fast & Furious.

The “constitutional obligations” mentioned in Boehner’s letter could include holding Eric Holder in contempt of Congress, which could result in extensive jail time and hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines, considering that multiple charges are involved.

Boehner’s letter -- which was cosigned by other top Republicans in the House, including Rep. Issa -- said the American people “deserve to know” how an operation like Fast & Furious could have continued for so long, and it demands a full accounting of “who knew of and approved an operation that placed weapons in the hands of drug cartels.”

The letter states that Americans have lost confidence in the ability of the administration to police these abuses by itself, although it does not call for the Attorney General to step down. Currently, more than 100 congressmen have called for the Attorney General to step down or be fired -- a move which is also supported by Gun Owners of America.

Previous news articles have noted Boehner’s reluctance to push for contempt charges against Eric Holder. And so it’s not clear whether this letter represents a change of heart, or if it’s simply “smoke and mirrors” designed to make it seem that the leadership is “doing something.”

Either way, this is NOT the time to let up on the pressure.

ACTION: House Speaker John Boehner is feeling the heat. Click here to send a message to your congressman to demand that Boehner push for a contempt citation.

Plantation Life in the Old South

Though a stereotypical view of Southern planters living in elegant Greek Revival mansions still exists, author Kendrick (below) states that “the majority of the planters lived in houses that could make little or no pretense to architectural beauty. Even Thomas Nelson Page admits that most of such homes were rather plain externally, though he maintains that at least in Virginia they were beautifully decorated within and sumptuously furnished.”

Bernhard Thuersam, Chairman
North Carolina War Between the States Sesquicentennial Commission
www.ncwbts150.com
"The Official Website of the North Carolina WBTS Sesquicentennial"

Plantation Life in the Old South:

“Of all the characteristics of life among the planter class of the Old South the one most emphasized in the tradition was its joy of living. The plantation life of romance was “aflame with social brilliance.” Planter homes were “temples to the religion of hospitality.”

Here to for a considerable proportion of such families the tradition but little exaggerates. Francis Taylor, a cousin of James Madison, found life in Piedmont Virginia so full of pleasure that there was little time for “great affairs.” Another young man found himself constantly torn between ambition and pleasure; books were plentiful but there was little time to read them.

A young physician with studious inclinations found, upon marrying the daughter of a planter, that his life was so filled with social activities that he had to abandon further study. Edmund Ruffin said that social affairs so engaged the attention of planters that they were unable to attend properly to their business. He predicted the extravagance and inattention to the practical affairs of the plantation would prove the undoing of the class, as indeed it did for many.

Perhaps the most notable instance was Thomas Jefferson. A rich planter when he retired from the Presidency, he entertained so lavishly in the years that followed that he eventually became a bankrupt and died in relative poverty.
