“Violence tax” on sale of guns and ammunition?

 

 Does it ever amaze you what bureaucrats do and what they can come up with to steal money from your wallet through legislation? The bureaucrats in Cook County are looking to propose a “violence tax” on the sale of all guns and ammunition that are sold in the county where Chicago is located.

Kurt Summers, Preckwinkle’s chief of staff, said on Monday, “If we were to pursue a tax on something like guns and ammo, clearly that wouldn’t be popular with the [gun lobby] out there, and it may not generate $50 million, but … it is consistent with our commitment to pursuing violence reduction in the city and in the county.”

“It impacts law enforcement, both at the city and the county [levels]. It impacts the courtrooms, the public defender and state’s attorney that are in there, the judges that are in there, the clerk of the court that has to sit there, the sheriff’s deputies that are in that courtroom and it impacts the jail — the folks that are sitting there at $143 a day,” he said.

With Mitt Romney surging in polls since his strong debate performance last week, supporters of President Obama are vowing online to riot nationwide and even leave the U.S. should the Republican challenger oust the incumbent.

Numerous Twitter postings in recent days feature threats of street violence, often poorly worded, as collected by the Twitchy website.

For instance, on Oct. 8, John Kramer@YoungCal626 posted:  “I Hope The USA Is Well Aware That If In The Event This Character Romney Wins The Election, The People Will Start A Country Wide Riot! #Power”

On Oct. 3, Tommy Pickles@ThugPickles wrote: “I Heard Mitt Romney , Tryna Take Away Food Stamps , If He Do .’IMA START A RIOT , IMA START A RIOT’”

One Twitter user, Facey!@daboifacey, apparently felt a sense of rioters’ remorse, as he posted: “Ok,I apologize for that tweet about Romney,It was a joke,I would never start a riot -___- its twitter.”
Beyond the violence threats, many more are vowing to begin a mass exodus out of America if Obama is not re-elected. 

Amber Lee@JoseAmbuervo says: “Told my New Zealand friend that if Romney is elected I am moving to her country. She said ‘Deal. We don’t need politics we have ferns.’”

Candice J @Cannadiss posted: “If Romney wins this election, I’m moving to New Zealand because this f–ker is not taking away the sh-t that I believe in.”

Some may even grab the attention of the U.S. Secret Service.

The issue of the Confederate flag at Hays High School is still waving. Or, in this case, sticking.
Last week Misty Meyer of Buda said her daughter M’Kayla, 17, was told by Assistant Principal Damon Adams that the sticker on her car was prohibited on campus because it has a Confederate flag on it.

The sticker, located in the car’s rear window, says, “Rebel Cheerleader.” Underneath the words is the image of the Rebel flag.

“She’s been driving that car to school, with that same sticker, for two years,” Meyer said. “I bought it four years ago from a mom who sold them to students in various activities.”

Suffolk Polls Pulls Out of Fl, Va, NC — Declares GOP Win

As presidential polls across the nation swing in Mitt Romney’s favor, one survey taker has already called three battleground states for the Republican.

David Paleologos, director of Suffolk University’s Research Center said he has pulled his pollsters out of Florida, North Carolina, and Virginia as all three look set to go to Romney.

“We’ve already painted those red," Paleologos told Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly. “We’re not polling any of those states again. We’re focusing on the remaining states.”

Blacks Beats Up White Teacher In Open Streets In Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — The quality of the surveillance video that shows the brutal assault of a Pittsburgh CAPA school teacher is so good that police are certain they'll track down the group of teens responsible for the attack.

English instructor Jim Addlespurger was walking down Tito Way after school on October 4th, when one of the six teens blind-sided him with a punch to the face.

The blow knocked him unconscious and the teens casually walked away laughing as the victim lay in the alley.

The undercover detective working the case told KDKA's Kym Gable the kids are not CAPA students.

Addlespurger was treated for cuts and bruises at Mercy Hospital. Gable talked to him by phone. He did not want to comment on the assault.

I didn't post the piece "He's a Constitutionalist" which I read earlier today, but I just received an email from Bonnie Gadsden informing me that the family had been in touch with him before about The Citadel and has an update from the assaulted parties.  The above piece I read right before i hopped into bed last night, and it struck a cord with me.  A little back story: About a month ago I received an email from Bear and Marcella, who I had not been in contact with before.  I'll just post it here instead of describing it.

I've been all over your sites and have read pretty much everything on them.
My wife & I are very interested in learning more about becoming part of the Liberty movement that you are forming and to become part of the Citadel.  

We are bio-dynamic/organic farmers living in Emmett, Idaho. We raise various food crops, chickens & goats. We also make a large variety of organic foods such as breads, muffins, canned goods & the like that we use for barter & trade here in our local community. 

We have also been doing all we can to awaken our fellow Americans as to what has happened to our beloved Constitution, long enough to let the quivering-elite know we are here and we won't be quiet about what is happening to our country.

I read this and thought, "This is great, our Citadel community is attracting good people."

After reading the original article at Pro Liberate, I was in a sour mood.  I quickly shot Bear an email asking how they were doing.  Here is their reply:

Hey There...  

 I would really like to say to you, "yeah, we're doin' great!"... But really? We're not doin' so hot.

 Marcela's physical bruises are healed, but the emotional stress from them pulling her out of her home, where she once felt safe, is going to take a little longer for the healing process to work. 

  My back is ruined now, due to falling back on my tailbone with my hands handcuffed behind me. I am working on healing myself but it's a slow process. 

 After I had got my boots on, and came around the corner to see an assault rifle aimed at my head with his finger on the trigger and then when getting outside having 2 more being leveled at me plus a couple of handguns, I figured it was best to live to fight another day. I fully admit that I was not in the correct mind-set, to confront the goons I was facing. I had been looking forward to a day in my field, tending my crops. Not looking down the barrels of several assault weapons, being treated like a terrorist and subject to numerous attacks on our freedoms, supposedly guaranteed by our Organic Constitution...  

 It was two days after this event that I found your blog about The Citadel and subsequently emailed you. I really like the idea of living in the same protected area with other like-minded folk. This event showed Marcela & I that we really can't go this alone. We've known for some time that we would like to find a community such as The Citadel, and it felt very synchronistic that we found your blog the way we did...  

 I will tell you, that we are seeking legal recourse in all of this. We are hoping to retain the services of the same attorney that represented, and won in favor of, the Weaver family in the Ruby Ridge case against the feds... If not him, we will find someone to represent us. We may even go at it pro per, but that is not really the route we would like to go at this time. I want to make a statement with this lawsuit and win, rather than just making a statement that gets lost in the mix...  

 This police state bullshit has got to stop. One way, or t'other...

Moreover, according to Arabic-language and Islamic experts, the ring Obama has been wearing for more than 30 years is adorned with the first part of the Islamic declaration of faith, the Shahada: “There is no god except Allah.”

The Shahada is the first of the Five Pillars of Islam, expressing the two fundamental beliefs that make a person a Muslim: There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is Allah’s prophet.
Sincere recitation of the Shahada is the sole requirement for becoming a Muslim, as it expresses a person’s rejection of all other gods.

The Southern Poverty Law Center, located in Montgomery, Alabama, is an organization well known to most of those in the Southern and Confederate Movements—and not viewed with fondness. This is the organization that, over ten years ago, published a list of Confederate “hate groups” that included the United Daughters of the Confederacy and the Sons of Confederate Veterans among others. None of the groups they listed could have been considered hate groups to anyone acquainted with reality. However reality is not something that concerns the SPLC.

Their agenda is to demonize almost anyone to the right of Hugo Chavez, a chore they work at with gleeful abandon. When it comes to Confederate or Southern historical or heritage groups they are all hate groups as far as the SPLC is concerned.

Not only does the SPLC seek to stigmatize Southern Heritage folks, they go after Tea Party people as well and they even stick up for segments of the United Nations agenda.

James Simpson, freelance journalist and former White House budget analyst wrote an article on http://www.rightsidenews.com in which he said: “The SPLC author called Agenda 21 an ‘environmental protection’ initiative, when anyone who has actually studied the document—I have—immediately recognizes it as a rationalization for socializing every aspect of our lives. Not merely redistributing income, which it calls for with a ‘global tax’ but redistributing populations within borders, across borders and even across continents. Sound familiar? Welcome to the open borders crowd and George Soros’ ‘Open Society.’”

Mr. Simpson has realized that the political and theological left often has a problem in promoting indefensible and unpopular agendas that promote socialism and so they are forced to come up with terminology that seeks to make something horrendous sound warm and fuzzy—and this fools lots of people.

Stop Playing Washington’s game is the key. Playing their game has only allowed the system to cheat the people while they gain in power. It is like a tug a war contest where two sides are pulling for power. In our case, the system has had us in this tug a war game for so long wearing us down where they play dirty while they say we have to play by the rules they written. So I ask, what are our options with this tug a war game? Do we keep pulling the rope knowing they will cheat with one set of rules for them and another set of rules for us that is designed to make us lose in the end? Do we drop the rope walking away saying we are not playing their game anymore?

 

Do you know what happens when the other side drops the rope? The opponents fall down hard. I mean they really fall down hard. In our case, why play their tug a war game they is designed to make us lose every time in the end. When the other side changes to rules and doesn’t play fair at all. We would not play a card game where the house has the unfair advantage nor would we play a football game where the other side moves the goal post back when we are about to win and moves the goal post forward so they can win. Not a fair game to play. So why do we keep playing the game Washington DC has us engaged in that makes them the winner every time having the unfair advantage.

I say drop the rope. The states should not take their cases to Federal Court when the Obama White House tries to grab power. They should just say no, we are not playing that game anymore . Just say no to Washington’s game. A lot of people feel they should not comply with Obamacare or these high taxes that are about to take effect Jan 1 2013.  Many people have stopped playing the game because the elections are not fair. These people feel they do not have to pay taxes to a government that cannot prove the elections were legitimate. They never consented to bail out the Wall Street crooks and Bankers.  They never consented to these wars and the government taking over the healthcare system. Many people are through playing Washington’s games, they are dropping the rope and walking away.

One example is Alex Jones is talking about another national Opt Out day saying no to the body x-rays, the groping and the new molecular scanners. This is an opportunity where people drop the rope not playing Washington’s game saying we have to be groped and have harmful radiation to scan our bodies to board a plane because of national security. If people in mass at once no longer play the TSA’s mind games saying”no”. The TSA will be in chaos when people no longer fear them anymore and turn to anger.

The Federal Reserve System being the millstone around our economy. The States can start creating a currency that is backed by something of value in plentiful supply that cannot be manipulated. To be issued interest free to the people to keep the economy going and to fund the operations of the state government. States can drop the rope saying we have our own currency, we do not need Federal money with strings attached anymore. States can declare they will not be playing Washington’s game of tug a war between states rights and Federal power based on a currency the state issues. States might start to secede saying we are not playing the games anymore. We are better off on our own.

The biggest reason the old Soviet Union imploded was because many of the Russian people walked away from communism. People refused to support the system, they stopped begging for crumbs from the master’s table. The refused to support the system playing their games anymore. The communist system collapsed as a result of people just walking away from supporting the system or complying with the government. The system crashed down hard like when people in a tug a war contest drop the rope on one side and walk away. When one side drops the rope in the middles of a tug a war contest. They fall down hard as a result.

Americans need to drop the rope, stop using the Federal Reserve notes and start coming up with an alternative currency. Stop complying with unconstitutional laws. No longer support the two-party system and vote third-party.  No longer beg Washington to give us back our rights. Just drop the rope and stop playing the Washington game of tug a war. Let go of the rope and just walk away. No longer playing their games will bring the system down faster than writing letters to congress, begging for scraps from the masters table or waiting until next election that is rigged that will change nothing.

As for many people, they have to let go of the rope dropping it walking away from Washington’s game of having power over the people. Like the Soviet Union when the Russian people walked away no long supporting communism. We have to let go and drop the rope and walk away. The ballot box and the soap box no longer work, short of an armed revolution. Walking away from a corrupt system by not giving them support might be the lynchpin the makes the system come crashing down. This is the blessing of civil disobedience in action. Do you agree?

Dying woman gets security pat-down at Sea-Tac

A dying woman says a a security pat-down at Sea-Tac Airport left her embarrassed in front of crowds of people.

Michelle Dunaj says screeners checked under bandages from recent surgeries and refused to give her a private search when she requested one.

Dunaj, who is dying of leukemia, carried a large amount of prescription drugs through Sea-Tac to head to Hawaii for what would be one of the last trips of her life.

She called Alaska Airlines ahead of time to request a wheelchair and to ask how her medicines should be separated for the security line.

"I did everything they asked me to do, so I didn't think it would be an issue," she said.

But Dunaj says nothing went right at the security checkpoint.

Prepping for Obamacare, Chain Cuts Workers' Hours

The owner of Olive Garden and Red Lobster restaurants is putting more workers on part-time status in a test aimed at limiting the impact of looming health coverage requirements.

Darden Restaurants declined to give details but said the test is only in restaurants in four markets across the country. The test entails increasing the number of workers on part-time status, meaning they work less than 30 hours a week. Under the new health care act, companies will be required to provide health care to full-time employees by 2014. That would significantly boost labor costs for businesses.

About 75 percent of Darden’s employees are currently part-timers.

Bob McAdam, who heads government affairs and community relations for Darden, said the company is still learning from the tests, which was first reported by The Orlando Sentinel.

Last week, when hundreds of thousands of people in Madrid, Barcelona and throughout Spain protested, rioted, rebelled and called for the forced resignation of every one of their parliamentary representatives and the formation of a new government, the silence from global mainstream media was deafening.

With jobless rates for those between the ages of 20 and 35 exceeding 50%, further social spending measures promised by the government, and tens of billions in handouts being transferred to large financial institutions in the broader Euro Zone, those impoverished by the economic collapse of the last four years would not be silenced.

They took the streets in droves. They rushed their parliament building, forcing representatives to barricade themselves inside. They confronted their government head on.

And for their transgressions, they were indiscriminately fired upon, beaten, and bloodied by riot police; men, women, young, old, it mattered not to the policing arm of the global elite.

Let this be a warning, America, because these riots will soon be making their way across the Atlantic ocean to our shores.

I was on a gun- and survival-related forum this evening, reading a stereotypical thread on “When will TSHTF.” The theories ranged from sometime in the next six months to “never!” I would argue however, and in fact do, that it’s already here. The popular conception of WROL involves bands of mutant/zombie/cannibal/biker/looter/bandits roaming the highways and by-ways, taking what they want from every passing citizen, except the heroes of the novel or daydream, who were prescient enough to spend their children’s college fund on preparedness, stockpile a bunker of goods in the hinterlands of the northern Rockies (which I really can’t begrudge, considering I moved here when I left the service because of the tactical and strategic benefits of the region myself….), and amazingly managed to get the Hell out of whatever major metropolitan urban center they lived and worked in, and traverse the continent to get there, as Rome burned around them.

Folks, this is idiocy. The Shit has ALREADY hit the fan. The Republic is dead, and no one is coming to help you. Let’s look at this from a novel perspective….

“All legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and a House of Representatives.“
Yet today, we have appointed bureaucrats of the Executive Branch penning regulations that are enforced with the force of law. I understand that Congress arguably has the “implied” privilege of assigning functions to the executive branch to carry out in order to execute the laws that Congress makes (thus the term “executive”…..), but wherein is that equal to making up new laws?
