Senate Democrats Block Sen. Paul’s Resolution Condemning IRS
Figures.
This bill simply recommended an investigation of the IRS as well calling for the firings of the individuals found to be at fault for this unethical behavior.
Today, Senate Democrats placed a hold on Sen. Rand Paul’s recent resolution that condemns the targeting of Tea Party groups by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and calls for an investigation into this practice.
“This resolution is not about Republican vs. Democrat or conservative vs. liberal. It is about arrogant and unrestrained government vs. the rule of law. The First Amendment cannot and should not be renegotiated depending on which party holds power,” Sen. Paul said. ”Each senator took an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution, yet Senate Democrats chose to block my resolution and thus refused to condemn the IRS for trampling on our First Amendment rights. I am incredibly disappointed in Washington’s party politics and I am determined to hold the IRS accountable for these unjust acts.”

Alabama City Destroying Ancient Indian Mound for Sam’s Club
Via Gen Early
“The City of Oxford and its archaeological advisers have completed a review and evaluation of a stone mound that was identified near Boiling Springs, Calhoun County, Alabama, and have concluded that the mound is the result of natural phenomena and does not meet the eligibility criteria for the Natural [sic] Register of Historic Places,” according to a news release Smith issued last week.
In fact, the report does not conclude the mound is a result of “natural phenomena” but says very clearly it is of “cultural origin.” And while the University’s Office of Archaeological Research does not believe the site qualifies for the National Register of Historic Places, the Alabama Historical Commission disagrees, noting that the structure meets at least three criteria for inclusion: its “association with a broad pattern of history,” architecture “embodying distinctive characteristics,” and for the information it might yield to scholars.
The site is also significant to Native Americans. The Woodland and Mississippian cultures that inhabited the Southeast and Midwest before Europeans arrived constructed and used these mounds for various rituals, which may have included funerals. There are concerns that human remains may be present at the site, though none have been found yet.
This needs to be stopped and the leaders hung.
City leaders in Oxford, Ala. have approved the destruction of a 1,500-year-old Native American ceremonial mound and are using the dirt as fill for a new Sam’s Club, a retail warehouse store
A University of Alabama archaeology report commissioned by the city found that the site was historically significant as the largest of several ancient stone and earthen mounds throughout the Choccolocco Valley. But Oxford Mayor Leon Smith — whose campaign has financial connections to firms involved in the $2.6 million no-bid project — insists the mound is not man-made and was used only to “send smoke signals.”“The City of Oxford and its archaeological advisers have completed a review and evaluation of a stone mound that was identified near Boiling Springs, Calhoun County, Alabama, and have concluded that the mound is the result of natural phenomena and does not meet the eligibility criteria for the Natural [sic] Register of Historic Places,” according to a news release Smith issued last week.

Why God Made Moms
VERBATIM
Answers given by 2nd grade school children to the following questions:
Why did God make mothers?
1. She's the only one who knows where the scotch tape is.
2. Mostly to clean the house.
3. To help us out of there when we were getting born.
How did God make mothers?
1. He used dirt, just like for the rest of us.
2. Magic plus super powers and a lot of stirring.
3. God made my mom just the same like he made me. He just used bigger parts.
What ingredients are mothers made of?
1. God makes mothers out of clouds and angel hair and everything nice in the world and one dab of mean..
2. They had to get their start from men's bones. Then they mostly use string, I think.
Why did God give you your mother and not some other mom?
1. We're related.
2. God knew she likes me a lot more than other people's mom like me.
What kind of a little girl was your mom?
1. My mom has always been my mom and none of that other stuff.
2. I don't know because I wasn't there, but my guess would be pretty bossy.
3. They say she used to be nice.
What did mom need to know about dad before she married him?
1. His last name.
2. She had to know his background. Like is he a crook? Does he get drunk on beer?
3. Does he make at least $800 a year? Did he say NO to drugs and YES to chores?
Why did your mom marry your dad?
1. My dad makes the best spaghetti in the world. And my mom eats a lot.
2. She got too old to do anything else with him.
3. My grandma says that mom didn't have her thinking cap on.
Who's the boss at your house?
1. Mom doesn't want to be boss, but she has to because dad's such a goof ball.
2. Mom. You can tell by room inspection. She sees the stuff under the bed.
3. I guess mom is, but only because she has a lot more to do than dad.
What's the difference between moms and dads?
1. Moms work at work and work at home and dads just go to work at work.
2. Moms know how to talk to teachers without scaring them.
3. Dads are taller and stronger, but moms have all the real power cause that's who you got to ask if you want to sleep over at your friends.
4. Moms have magic, they make you feel better without medicine.
What does your mom do in her spare time?
1. Mothers don't do spare time.
2. To hear her tell it, she pays bills all day long.
What would it take to make your mom perfect?
1. On the inside she's already perfect. Outside, I think some kind of plastic surgery.
2. Diet. You know, her hair. I'd diet, maybe blue.
If you could change one thing about your mom, what would it be?
1. She has this weird thing about me keeping my room clean. I'd get rid of that.
2. I'd make my mom smarter. Then she would know it was my sister who did it not me.
3. I would like for her to get rid of those invisible eyes on the back of her head.

Obama Rocked By Triple Scandal -- Will He Survive? Will WE Survive?
Introduction
As those who have been following the news have probably noticed, the Obama Administration has recently been hit by three big scandals, coming all together. Of these, the oldest (and most severe in terms of his primary role as Commander-in-Chief) is the Benghazi Embassy terrorist attack, and his incredibly incompetent and dishonest reaction to this event. Two new ones have emerged, and they were entirely of the Administrations making.
The first of these is the revelation that Obama's IRS deliberately discriminated against conservative and insufficiently-liberal not-for-profits by demanding much more information about them than they did from moderate or liberal organizations. The second is that Obama's Justice Department seized the phone records of about 20 AP reporters, because the AP had leaked classified information regarding the foiling of a terrorist plot.
The first two scandals are the most worrisome in terms what they reveal about Obama's (lack of) strategic acumen and respect for the Constitution. The third may be the one which will sink him, because he's finally angered the Mainstream Media -- his most important supporters.

The Attack

Ben Stein: “Benghazi is frank outright malfeasance, lying, criminal cover-up.”
Columnist and actor Ben Stein, who worked for the Nixon administration during the Watergate scandal on Saturday said that President Obama’s administration is guilty of more than incompetence in the case of the Benghazi attack that resulted in the deaths of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans.
“With great respect to my colleagues, Benghazi is not incompetence,” Stein insisted on Fox. “Benghazi is frank outright malfeasance, lying, criminal cover-up.”
A number of commentators have attempted to draw comparisons between Nixon's Watergate, which resulted in his resignation from the presidency, and Obama's triple dish of scandals now facing his administration.
Stein, a Newsmax contributor, accused the Obama administration of lying to investigators in the eight months since the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Libya.
A number of prominent Republicans, including Vice President Dick Cheney have charged that senior Obama officials attempted to cover-up the fact that an al-Qaida affiliated group was responsible for the attack to prevent the tragedy from affecting President Barack Obama’s re-election bid.
“There’s perjury and there’s obstruction of justice,” according to Stein. “Those are crimes.”

WH: 'Offensive' to Question Obama's Actions During Benghazi
Going on the offensive about President Obama’s mysterious whereabouts during the Benghazi terrorist attacks of September 11, 2012 that resulted in the deaths of four Americans including Ambassador Chris Stevens, White House senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer said it was “offensive” for anyone to question whether the White House could have done more. The assertion “from Republicans” that Obama was not responsive enough during the attack, said Pfeiffer, is “offensive.
“The premise of [the question on Obama’s whereabouts],” Pfeiffer explained, “is that somehow there was something that could have been done differently and would have changed the outcome here. The accountability review board has looked at this, people have looked at it.”
He called any theories about Obama’s failure to act “conspiracy theories.” He then set up a strawman by accusing Republicans of saying Obama “allowed this to happen.”

TX Man is Locked in Closet by Multiple Home Invaders – The Closet Where he Keeps His Guns…
Via Angry Mike
*Nga Doan lower right, a resident of the home where Houston Police
officers investigate a home invasion where one suspect was shot by the
resident in the 8600 Block of Braeburn Valley Tuesday, May 14, 2013, in
Houston. *Probably an ARVN veteran.
A Houston, TX resident was caught off guard when 3 men, at least one of whom was armed, kicked in the door to the home he shared with his parents in broad daylight.
The violent men roughed up the resident and placed him in a closet while they ransacked the home.
What the suspects didn’t know – that closet is where the homeowner keeps his collection of handguns.
The resident armed himself and went through the house, where he encountered one of the suspects.
The two exchanged gunfire which resulted in the suspect being shot twice, but he was still able to escape.
He ran down the street and collapsed nearby. The other 2 suspects escaped in an old Chevy Tahoe.

Threat of subpoena produces Texas CSCOPE records
CSCOPE, a controversial school curriculum management system in Texas that once included a description of the Boston Tea Party as an act of terror and has called Islamic terrorists freedom fighters has given up pages of its financial records under threat of a subpoena by state Sen. Dan Patrick.
Patrick sought the records after Texans told him they had uncovered financial irregularities in the organization’s operations.
Patrick threatened CSCOPE with a subpoena of all financial documents if disclosure was not achieved voluntarily. CSCOPE provided 5,000 pages of documents in response to Patrick’s request, and the information now is being reviewed.
“I’m glad that the CSCOPE board finally recognized that they must respond to our request for detailed financial information,” said Patrick. “I only wish I didn’t have to threaten a subpoena before getting this information.
“For some reason the board at CSCOPE believes they are above open disclosure and total transparency to parents and legislators,” Patrick added.

On Gun Control and the Great American Debate Over Individualism
Via avordvet
So let’s review our recent national paroxysm about guns, shall we?
Gun control was a complete non-issue during the 2012 presidential campaign, and for good reason:
the rate of gun violence — like the rate of violent crime — had fallen by about half since the late 1980s. During those two decades, gun laws got looser almost everywhere, so whatever was driving down the crime rate, it wasn’t gun control. But then came the shootings at the Aurora movie theater and Sandy Hook Elementary, and suddenly nobody could think about anything else.
Colorado, Connecticut, Maryland, and New York passed restrictive laws concerning thirty-round magazines and various weapons based on characteristics — like pistol grips and flash hiders — that have nothing to do with a gun’s lethality. Congress also debated a ban on something called “assault rifles,” which, despite the impression created by the marquee massacres in Colorado and Connecticut, are used in about 2 percent of gun murders. As for the class of firearm that is used in more than half of gun murders, handguns, no one suggested restricting those. Nor could anybody explain how tinkering with rifles’ cosmetic features or the number of rounds they can carry was going to make safer a country that already has about 300 million guns in private circulation.
