Independence Day, July 4, 2013

The Confederate battle flag, carried by America’s last warrior class. It is not a national flag, but a battle flag, representing all that’s left of American values.

On this Independence Day, July 4, 2013, I declare my independence from the United States government in Washington, D.C.

The United States government has become a Communist social enterprise, thinly disguised as the lying, corrupt, demonic Democrat Party. Conservatives and Republicans have utterly failed to make remedy, and most of the Republican leaders are themselves traitors–to both the party and the country. They are married to the corruption.

I declare myself independent from enemy of the American people, which is the United States government. I declare myself divorced from the immoral miscreants who have destroyed our country. I declare myself independent from the perverted misanthropes of leadership, from the demonic greed which controls our government, from the multinational corporations and anti-patriotic forces which have turned our sacred country into a haven for international crooks, sexual perverts, and for racist murderers, and their chronic, Freudian oedipal autolysis.

I declare myself independent from the alien, lying, black African Communist Muslim traitor in the White House, and all his administration, from the Department of Justice, and from the worthless and traitorous Supreme Court, and from the most crooked Congress in the history of the United States.

Why I carry the Battle Flag

RIP PoPs.  You won't have any Yankees up there to fight with.:)

Just a few months after I began flagging, I was attending a local War Between The States event alone, and was carrying my Confederate Battle Flag. I was approached by an older gentleman in the local SCV. He introduced himself and said he wanted to talk with me. He began by telling me that he was proud of what I had been doing and that he appreciated my efforts. He then went on to say that he thought that I would be much better off, and have more success, if I would stop carrying the Battle Flag, and carry the First National instead. He told me it would be much safer, cause less controversy, and would be less "offensive".

He may have been the first one to give me such a lecture, but he has not been the last. I have been told it was "unlady-like" to walk through the streets of Richmond with my Battle Flag with the SCV at the 2012 Heritage Rally, and scores of folks online and in person, mostly within our own Heritage community, have urged me to carry a different flag.

My response was, and always has been, that EVERYTHING I do is about the Confederate soldier. I carry the ANV battle flag because all four of my G-G-Grandfathers who fought in the WBTS, served under that flag. It is the SOLDIER'S FLAG. I love all of the Confederate flags, and often carry different ones for different occasions, but my first love always has been and always will be the Confederate Battle Flag.

North Carolina National Guard Rapid Reaction Force Civil Unrest Training Photos

Via LH

The following photos depict soldiers from the 252nd Combined Arms Battalion training in June for their role as a “rapid reaction force” capable of responding anywhere in the state of North Carolina within “four to eight hours with additional forces arriving within 24 to 36 hours.”  The same unit trained in March to respond “to an emergency ahead of federal assets by providing site security, establishing roadblocks or checkpoints, and assisting civilian authorities in controlling civil disturbances.”
The exercises depicted below were held from June 10-14 at an abandoned shopping mall and a water treatment facility in Charlotte.  Soldiers trained to suppress protesters who perform a sit-in as part of a fictional group called “The Pink Panthers.”  According to the North Carolina National Guard, the exercise at the water treatment facility tests soldiers’ “ability to use nonlethal force to disperse a crowd of aggressors.”  Photos of the exercise show soldiers operating from Be On the Look Out (BOLO) notices with the identities of specific individuals in the crowd, listed as “AIN Members,” that are to be targeted for arrest.

Before-It’s-Deleted Of The Day

The following was a difficult read because it’s also what liberal blacks call “dirty laundry”: bad stuff about black folk never to be said around whites. The essay was posted on Craigslist and it’s the kind of truth that often is taken back out of PC fear….

*This is a repost from the rants and raves section from the Mobile, Alabama craigslist.*

The truth is usually a tough thing to accept, so I understand if this is flagged. It would be a cowardly thing to do, but I understand it. Some people just ignore unpleasant truths. However, if you think ignoring the problem, or trying to censor the truth, will help our black children improve, you’re dreaming. This is important, so I’m happy to repost – indefinitely if necessary. I find it interesting that NO ONE has had the intellect to refute anything in the essay. They can only attempt to censor it, as if doing so somehow makes it invalid. Weak minds, weak minds.

Until recently I taught at a predominantly black high school in a southeastern state.

The mainstream press gives a hint of what conditions are like in black schools, but only a hint. Expressions journalists use like “chaotic” or “poor learning environment” or “lack of discipline” do not capture what really happens. There is nothing like the day-to-day experience of teaching black children and that is what I will try to convey.

Most whites simply do not know what black people are like in large numbers, and the first encounter can be a shock.

One of the most immediately striking things about my students was that they were loud. They had little conception of ordinary decorum. It was not unusual for five blacks to be screaming at me at once. Instead of calming down and waiting for a lull in the din to make their point — something that occurs to even the dimmest white students — blacks just tried to yell over each other.

It did no good to try to quiet them, and white women were particularly inept at trying. I sat in on one woman’s class as she begged the children to pipe down. They just yelled louder so their voices would carry over hers.

Many of my black students would repeat themselves over and over again — just louder. It was as if they suffered from Tourette syndrome. They seemed to have no conception of waiting for an appropriate time to say something. They would get ideas in their heads and simply had to shout them out. I might be leading a discussion on government and suddenly be interrupted: “We gotta get more Democrats! Clinton, she good!” The student may seem content with that outburst but two minutes later, he would suddenly start yelling again: “Clinton good!”

Ex-Russian spy Anna Chapman proposes marriage to Edward Snowden

If serious, this would be the perfect excuse to allow him to stay in Russia.

Russian Anna Chapman (AP Photo/David Azia)

he rest of the world may not want him, but NSA leaker Edward Snowden has at least one potential taker: Anna Chapman. The ex-spy tweeted yesterday, “Snowden, will you marry me?!”

The former Russian spy may have sympathy for the man who spilled top-secret documents. Chapman, after all, is no stranger to run-ins with government authorities.

The 31-year-old had been posing as a real-estate agent in the United States in 2010 when she was accused of gathering intel for Russia. She and nine others were deported back to Russia in a prisoner swap.

Now the ex-secret agent has become a celebrity in her homeland, most recently as host of the TV show, “Secrets of the World.”

Militarized police gone wild across America; terrorizing citizens, shooting pet dogs, behaving like occupying military force

Via Steven

America is rapidly devolving into the oppressive police state we've been warning readers about. Right now, cops are exhibiting thuggish, out-of-control "mafia" behavior as they run loose across America, terrorizing innocent citizens, shooting up the vehicles of people who are merely driving cars on public roadways, taking warrantless blood draws from drivers, shooting pet dogs of people who are merely filming police, raiding farmers at gunpoint over raw milk and terrorizing young women for buying bottled water and cookie dough.

All of these are real and happening right now in America. The cause behind them? Police are being "militarized" through federal training while being given weapons of war through federal grants. Police departments across the country are now being handed armored assault vehicles, surveillance drones and full-auto assault rifles. Along with this equipment comes a training and engagement posture that is increasingly aggressive and militaristic, subjecting more and more Americans to the kind of "theater of war" engagement tactics that the U.S. military would typically use at a roadblock in Afghanistan, for example. (See latest example, below.)

The Religion of Peace: 30 killed in school attack in northeast Nigeria

Islamic extremists killed 29 students and an English teacher Mohammed Musa, who was shot in the chest.

Islamic militants attacked a boarding school in northeast Nigeria before dawn Saturday, killing 29 students and one teacher. Some of the pupils were burned alive in the latest school attack blamed on a radical terror group, survivors said.

Parents screamed in anguish as they tried to identify the charred and gunshot victims.
Farmer Malam Abdullahi found the bodies of two of his sons, a 10-year-old shot in the back as he apparently tried to run away, and a 12-year-old shot in the chest.

"That's it, I'm taking my other boys out of school," he told The Associated Press as he wept over the two corpses. He said he had three younger children in a nearby school.

U.S. Will ‘Pressure’ Egypt on Behalf of Brotherhood, Says U.S. Ambassador

Via Freedom Outpost

Evidence that the Obama administration is unhappy with the Egyptian people’s liberation from Muslim Brotherhood rule continues to emerge.  As reported today by Youm 7, according to Muhammad Heikal — “the Arab world’s most respected political commentator” and for some 50 years a political insider — soon after the overthrow of Morsi, U.S. ambassador Anne Patterson assured Hisham Qandil, who hours ago was Egypt’s Prime Minister, that “there are many forms of pressure, and America holds the keys to the Gulf.”

Such blatantly pro-Muslim Brotherhood assurances by Patterson are consistent with many of her other actions in Egypt, which have led most Egyptians, including politicians and activists, to refer to her as a Brotherhood stooge.

1st Arkansas Artillery at Gettysburg Reenactment

Via SHNV

In a friendly southern accent, Jeff Lawrence greeted the approaching stranger.

"You just accidentally walked into Texas," said the 60-year-old man dressed in Confederate garb.

That visitor wasn't the only one to stumble Thursday into the inconspicuous tent pitched along Table Rock Road in Gettysburg, where the 1st Arkansas Artillery was using its time between battles to set the record straight.

Don't tell these guys that the North-South dispute over slavery caused the Civil War. They'll tell you it was all about state rights - that most Confederate soldiers were fighting to defend their homes, not to protect the institution of slavery.

"This is what we do," said James McNabb, 68, of Fort Worth, Texas. "This is like a Civil War Roundtable."

The group is in town for the weekend for the 150th anniversary Battle of Gettysburg re-enactment, which continues through Sunday.

A re-enactor since the 1960s - before the trend really took off - McNabb said his fascination with the Civil War is now about "teaching history, accurate history."

The history books: That statement touched off a 45-minute conversation among the visiting Texans, and one Oklahoman, about the popular misconceptions of the Civil War, especially when it comes to the Confederacy.

Hitler's food taster feared death with every morsel

Via Last Resistance

 http://guardianlv.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/460x-1.jpg

Margot Woelk spent the last few years of World War Two eating lavish meals and fearing that every mouthful could mean death.

The former food taster for Adolf Hitler was served a plate of food and forced to eat it between 11 and 12 every morning for most of the last 2-1/2 years of the Nazi German leader's life.

If she did not fall ill, the food was packed into boxes and taken to Hitler at the Wolf's Lair, a military headquarters located deep in woodland, in what is today northeastern Poland.

"Hitler was a vegetarian so it was all vegetarian fare - it was very good food like white asparagus, wonderful fruits, peppers and cauliflower," the 96-year-old Berliner told Reuters.

Along with 14 other girls in their 20s, Woelk lived in fear that every meal she ate would be her last.
"We were always terrified that the food might be poisoned as England wanted to poison Hitler and he knew that from his spies so he employed young girls to taste his food," she said.

"We cried a lot and hugged each other. We asked each other: 'Will we still be alive tomorrow or not?'"

Northern Businessman Critical of Lincoln’s War

 http://stjschools.org/morlando/images/stjpastpresent/robertgrahamdun.JPG

A number of prominent Northern businessmen opposed the Lincoln administration for both business and political reasons. Robert Graham Dun left his home of Chillicothe, Ohio in 1850 for a position with the New York City mercantile agency of Tappan and Douglass, one of the first credit-rating services in the US.  He purchased the company outright in 1859.

Northern Businessman Critical of Lincoln’s War

“[Letter to] John G. Dun, September 25, 1861:
“How does this infernal Black Republican War affect you in a business way?  It is playing the h---ll with us all here. I have never had the slightest sympathy with the Federal Gov’t in such a wicked and sectional war.  I am a firm believer in States’ rights – in the [sovereignty] of States; & I think the Gov’t at Washington has no right to declare war against any State or States.”

[Letter to] Robert George Dun, October 17, 1861:
“Bright future isn’t it? I sometimes feel so mad and disgusted with the country that I wish I was out of it.  In fact I begin to think as Uncle Joshua used to preach – that democratic government is a humbug & the sooner we turn it into a monarchy the better.  I really believe we are fast drifting to it.  One thing is certain we shall never have so free a Gov’t again . . . now since politics has become a profession there is nothing but [pollution], bribery, treachery and everything but honesty in the rulers of the country, from the pettiest office of a back-house inspector up to the President of the U.S.”

[Letter to] John G. Dunn, March 15, 1862:
“The ridiculous stories about strong Union feeling at the South I am convinced is all humbug.  These stories are got up to humbug the “dear people” that they may continue to be bled freely by the Administration & just as long as the people continue to have their eyes sanded & pour their money into the Public Crib this was will be waged.  [It seems] the people at the North are all crazy & mad to believe for a moment that this Union can ever be restored . . . No!  The South can only be kept subdued by a standing army of a million men . . . .”

[Letter to] Robert George Dun, May 27, 1862:
“The crazy infatuation of the North in trying to carry out its “irrepressible conflict” doctrine has you may say, wholly bankrupted the country & I for one would not care to invest much in Gov’t securities.  My opinion is, however, that this war – this wicked war – will continue as long as this Niger [sic] Administration is in power; as long as there is a dollar in the Treasury for the vampires in office to gloat over.  I understand that . . . newspaper reporters whose dispatches were not allowed to pass by censors of mail and telegraph . . . . but on arrival here were nabbed & carried to Fort Lafayette for their pains.  My consolation is that some day there will be a day of reckoning for the devil incarnate at the head of the government now.”

[Letter to] John Dun, March 2, 1863:
“We are bound, hand & foot now by one man power and nothing but revolution will save us. The enforcement of the conscription law will, I believe, be the torch to the magazine.  States must assert their rights & put down the occupations [sic] of the mere agency called government at Washington.”

[Letter to] John Wood, March 5, 1863:
“I see but little prospect of an early peace notwithstanding the “Copperhead” fraternity [that] seems to be rapidly on the increase.  I look for [revolution in the North] – at least a conflict for States rights but I do not care to discuss politics – I am completely disgusted with the country and its people.”

[Letter to] John G. Dun, June 27, 1863:
“Politically, there is a good deal of excitement here about the advance of the Confederates. I hope & believe Lee is bent on taking Washington. Victories on the part of the South is the only hope of an early peace. I should not be surprised to hear of Lee’s attacking Phila. & capturing it & then dictating terms of Peace in old Independence Hall.”

[Letter to] James Angus Dun, July 23, 1863:
“I suppose you will have heard of the Great riot in this city last week . . . gotten up in opposition to the Lincoln conscription.  The people won’t stand any such usurpation of power by the “Machine” at Washington.”

[Letter to John Dun, September 16, 1863:
“I fear the frauds you anticipate in your coming election will be fully realized. I have no doubt but [that] the Democrats will be swindled out of the election of their candidates.  The enforcing of the conscription in Ohio will be a pretext for [martial] Law & Lincoln’s proclamation (out this morning) suspending the writ of habeas corpus will [Bastille] all who say a word in opposition. I shall regret blood shed in Ohio, but I hope the [D]emocrats will fight for their rights to the last man.”

Global food supply under threat as water wells dry up, analyst warns

Via Richard

 An Iraqi shepherd boy

Lester Brown says grain harvests are already shrinking as US, India and China come close to 'peak water'

Wells are drying up and underwater tables falling so fast in the Middle East and parts of India, China and the US that food supplies are seriously threatened, one of the world's leading resource analysts has warned.

In a major new essay Lester Brown, head of the Earth Policy Institute in Washington, claims that 18 countries, together containing half the world's people, are now overpumping their underground water tables to the point – known as "peak water" – where they are not replenishing and where harvests are getting smaller each year.

The situation is most serious in the Middle East. According to Brown: "Among the countries whose water supply has peaked and begun to decline are Saudi Arabia, Syria, Iraq and Yemen. By 2016 Saudi Arabia projects it will be importing some 15m tonnes of wheat, rice, corn and barley to feed its population of 30 million people. It is the first country to publicly project how aquifer depletion will shrink its grain harvest.

"The world is seeing the collision between population growth and water supply at the regional level. For the first time in history, grain production is dropping in a geographic region with nothing in sight to arrest the decline. Because of the failure of governments in the region to mesh population and water policies, each day now brings 10,000 more people to feed and less irrigation water with which to feed them."

Gun control carpet-baggers in NC TOMORROW: 100 rds of 5.56 or 7.62x39 to 1st person who identifies the Raleigh-area "sporting clay range" and time

Yet they hide their "Rights & Responsibilities" tour's July 7 Raleigh stop from gun owners they purport to represent!

Former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and astronaut husband Mark Kelly, who fancy themselves the next Sarah and Jim Brady, having been touring the country to push for what they claim are just "background checks." In truth, of course, the federal proposals they advocate would criminalize mundane behaviors such as gifting a gun to your mother and would further their hidden agenda to turn the computerized "National Instant Criminal Background Check System" (NICS) into a defacto gun registration system.

To divide and conquer gun owners, they claim to be shooters and have posed for photo ops of Giffords flinching off a few shots in Las Vegas and elsewhere. Gee, whiz, they say, they're just gun owners like the rest of us and, of course, we all support "background checks," right?

Gun control carpet-baggers in NC TOMORROW

Although their website lists Raleigh as a tour stop, it is the only stop for which the group refuses to provide a precise time and location, indicating they learned from our counter demonstration to greet "Mayors Against Illegal Guns" two weeks ago, in which GRNC's counter demonstrators outnumbered MAIG's participants.

Indeed, they are refusing to release the details to the public, leading one to ask: Why are they hiding from the gun owners they claim to represent? Last night, the Raleigh News & Observer said:

"Details have been withheld until Friday night, and even now the precise location has not been publicly disclosed. Reporters will be given information once they are confirmed.

"All that's known now is Giffords and Kelly will go shooting at a local sporting clay range in the morning, followed by a roundtable discussion with gun owners, and then a picnic with local members of their gun-control group, Americans for Responsible Solutions. The couple will meet with reporters after the roundtable."

'Where's Gabby?'

Since Rep. Giffords and her hubby say they want a "roundtable discussion with gun owners," GRNC would like to give it to them. So in a variation of that old child's game, "Where's Waldo?" GRNC now asks you to play "Where's Gabby?"

In fact, we will give 100 rds of free 5.56mm or 7.62x39mm ammo to the first person who identifies the Raleigh-area "sporting clay range" and time for Gabby and Mark's little get together. Please contact GRNC President Paul Valone immediately at: president@GRNC.org

TV station to broadcast Muslim call to prayer

Minaret

An announcement by a television station in the United Kingdom that it will broadcast the Muslim call to prayer daily during the month-long religious observation called Ramadan has sparked concerns by those who point out that the nation’s constitution recognizes God the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ and “in any other age” the action “would have been regarded as treason.”

The announcement comes from Channel 4, which, according to spokesman Ralph Lee, is responding to factors that are pressing in society.

“Following the horrific events in Woolwich [where a British soldier was beheaded by two Islamists] and the subsequent reprisals against British Muslims, there has surely never been a more pressing need to give a voice to the moderate mainstream majority,” he said.

But that’s not what is happening, according to a statement from Christian Voice, a ministry for Christians “who are fed up with the way things are, who have had enough of secularist politicians imposing wickedness on the rest of us and who are not satisfied with trying to get ‘Christian influence in a secular world.’”

“It would be more honest to say: ‘Following the atrocity in Woolwich, it’s a good time to shove Islam down ordinary people’s throats and whip up anti-Islamic sentiment,” blogger Stephen Green said in a posting on the Christian Voice site.

Unemployed, Discouraged, Underemployed Rate Jumps to 14.3%, Highest Since February

VERBATIM

While the Bureau of Labor Statistics jobs report released this morning showed unemployment unchanged at 7.6 percent, the broadest measure of unemployment, the U-6 rate (seasonally adjusted), jumped to its highest level since February 2013, from 13.8 percent to 14.3 percent.

The U-6 rate includes "all persons marginally attached to the labor force, plus total employed part time for economic reasons," including discouraged and underemployed workers, as well as the unemployed. The rate is only a half-point lower than the 14.8 percent rate a year ago in June 2012.

Prosecutor: State Will Rest in Zimmerman Trial

Prosecutors say they are resting their case in the murder trial of George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch volunteer charged with fatally shooting Trayvon Martin.

Prosecutor Bernie de la Rionda told the judge Friday afternoon that the state would rest its case.
Over two weeks, prosecutors called more than three dozen witnesses. Those witnesses included Zimmerman's neighbors, who heard parts of the fight between Zimmerman and Martin; Martin's friend, who was talking to him moments before he was shot; police officers who responded to the scene; and medical experts who testified on Zimmerman's injuries.

Zimmerman's defense attorneys will now present their witnesses.

Pentagon: US Missile Defense Test Fails

America's missile defense system failed on Friday in a test over the Pacific, with an interceptor failing to hit an incoming ballistic missile, the Pentagon said.

The miss represented yet another setback for the costly ground-based interceptors, which have not had a successful test result since 2008.

The test's objective was to have an interceptor, launched from Vandenberg air base in California, knock out a long-range ballistic missile fired from a US military test site at Kwajalein atoll in the Marshall Islands.

But "an intercept was not achieved," US Missile Defense Agency spokesman Richard Lehner said in a brief statement.

Nicaragua, Venezuela Offer Asylum to Snowden

Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro offered asylum to former U.S. intelligence contractor Edward Snowden in defiance of Washington, which is demanding his arrest for divulging details of secret U.S. spy programs.

Snowden, 30, is believed to be holed up in the transit area of Moscow's Sheremetyevo international airport and has been trying to find a country that would take him since he landed from Hong Kong on June 23.

"In the name of America's dignity ... I have decided to offer humanitarian asylum to Edward Snowden," Maduro told a military parade marking Venezuela's independence day.

"He is a young man who has told the truth, in the spirit of rebellion, about the United States spying on the whole world."

Russia has kept the former National Security Agency contractor at arm's length, saying the transit area where passengers stay between flights is neutral territory and he will be on Russian soil only if he goes through passport control.

It was not immediately clear how Snowden would react to Maduro's offer, nor reach Venezuela if he accepted.

There are no direct commercial flights between Moscow and Caracas, and the usual route involves changing planes in Havana. It is not clear if the Cuban authorities would let him transit, however, and there was no sign of Snowden aboard the flight to Havana on Saturday.

The tale of two Americans of African descent

 JAGOfficer0

Alexis Carter, U.S. Army JAG Corps and Florida attorney and Rachel Jeantel.  I of course don’t know him.  However it is interesting that I don’t see his picture and his video pasted all over the Internet.  Why?  Why are liberals debating “how white America reacts to Alexis Carter.”  Maybe because it is a non-issue.  Maybe if you put on some decent clothes, present yourself in the best way possible, and have a little respect for others then in general people will give you a little respect.

And then we have Rachel Jeantel.  It does not mean crap that she is black to most people.  I believe it means even less that she is poor.  It means a lot that she appears to have nothing but contempt for the entire process, choose to present herself in a slothful way, and thinks using racist terms is ok.
