Tweedle Dum & Tweedle Dee: Egyptians Had No Right to Oust Democratically Elected Islamic Tyrant

Via Daily Timewaster

Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham penned an opinion piece today following their disastrous trip to Egypt last week where they insulted the current leadership and coddled the Muslim Brotherhood.

The two Republicans believe the Egyptian people had no right to oust their Islamic tyrant.
Pat Dollard caught this from today’s Washington Post article.

Face It: You're Afraid (Why?)

One simple question: Why?

Why do you submit to mental control over your life, over your future, over you?

You're afraid of dying.  But death comes to all of us; it is inevitable.  All that is alive will die.  The question is whether you live well as you determine it and whether, when the time comes, you die well, not whether you will die.

It is this fear that leads you to permit the irretrievably-screwed medical system we have in this country to exist.  It is why you allow a hospital to charge $165,000 to replace a battery in an outpatient procedure (that is, you're in and gone in the same day) or half a million dollars to "treat" cancer that in reality might buy you a few more weeks, months or years of life with debilitating self-inflicted injury from the treatment itself, or $100,000+ to put a stent in a cardiac artery -- a piece of metallic mesh that cost $10 or $20 to make.

The fear of not being able to have that at all, and thus that your mortality will cause you to cease living on this earth a few days, weeks, months or years before you would otherwise pass is why you sit still for a system that bankrupts countless people every year and they still die, even though from a standpoint of odds virtually everyone could afford the $1,500 the procedure would cost if you refused to allow this crap to go on.

A large percentage of people support the government sucking up all call records on the premise that it helps "fight terrorism" and even more think that being groped by a government gang at airports that happen to have their fair share of perverts, thieves and criminals among them is perfectly ok as well.

The facts are that a bunch of adherents to a whacked out religious cult murdered 3,000 Americans roughly 12 years ago.  In that same year approximately 50,000 Americans died operating a car in auto accidents and over 100,000 died due to medical errors.  In that single year you were 30 times more likely to be killed by your doctor than by a terrorist.

At the same time we refuse to call Major Hasan a terrorist and his attack a military operation against the United States on our soil because then we must admit that those who were wounded and killed in that attack died in combat defending our nation.  We would have to give them Purple Hearts.  But we would also have to deny the fiction that underlies our fear of terrorism -- that one can be free of such risk if only we give the government enough power.

After all, where is there more concentrated government power than on a military base?
I am not afraid of terrorists -- Muslim or otherwise.  I am as likely to be hit by lightning as I am to be killed by one.  I refuse to be afraid of that -- death -- which is inevitable.

IRS Needs AR-15′s For “Standoff Capabilities”?

 IRS-Agents-training-with-AR-15-Rifles

The IRS, which primarily acts as an audit agency, refuses to answer why its agents need AR-15s for “standoff capability.”

In May, U.S. Congressman Jeff Duncan (R-SC) was getting a lot of questions about ammo shortages and government agencies stockpiling guns and ammo. He wanted to know why IRS agents were buying ammo in large quantities and wanted to see the ammo supply himself.  He went to the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Maryland where he witnessed 8 or 9 IRS agents using AR-15s at an indoor 100 yard firing range.

Duncan questioned why IRS agents needed to be trained with AR-15 military rifles with 30 round magazines for “standoff capability” and why the IRS couldn’t use agencies like the U.S. Marshals to assist them when needed.

BenSwann.com asked Duncan if the IRS offered him any new information regarding his investigation.

“The IRS has not been cooperative. My committee doesn’t have direct oversight over the IRS so I’ve been trying to build support for an investigation. The IRS has not shown me any information on why they need to train with AR-15′s,” Duncan said.

Zimmerman Spotted Again – This Time Fleeing to Mexico

VERBATIM

America’s newest superhero George Zimmerman, the former Florida neighborhood watch leader cleared of charges in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, can’t seem to stay away from actual law enforcement officials long enough for his 15 minutes of fame to expire.  Zimmerman was pulled over for speeding in North Texas on Sunday.  According to police reports,  Zimmerman, who was driving the Honda pickup shown above, informed the officer he was armed.  The officer on the scene (who somehow did not recognize the killer turned superhero) asked 29-year-old Zimmerman where he was going to which Zimmerman replied “no place in particular *cough*Mexico*cough”.  Zimmerman was released on a warning and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Sources near the Zimmerman family, speaking on the condition of anonymity for fear of their lives, stated that George was considering leaving the states to avoid federal charges brought about by the Department of Justice, and civil charges in the shooting death of Trayvon.

National Report attempted to contact border agents along the Mexican border to warn them of Zimmerman’s attempt to flee the country (possibly headed to his native Peru), but as of press time calls have been unanswered.

Zimmerman has been in the spotlight following his acquittal after a heroic tale surfaced in which George rescued a family of four from a burning vehicle.  Just last week National Report broke a story describing George’s heroic actions.

No word as to whether the recent string of homicides along the corridor connecting South Florida and North Texas can be attributed to Zimmerman.

Just where will Zimmerman strike next, stayed tuned to find out….......

Police Helicopter and Patrol Cars Dispatched for Man Photographing Courthouse

Via avordvet

With a .45 caliber legally strapped to his side, Jordan McManus decided to photograph the federal courthouse in Phoenix last night, realizing he would probably draw attention from police, especially after reading about Raymond Michael’s experience last May.

But he was still a little surprised when a police helicopter hovered over him with a spotlight as two patrol cars pulled up next to him and another two cops approached him on foot.

They immediately tried to disarm him, but he refused to let them do it as it is legal to open carry in Arizona.

Then they tried to pat him down, which didn’t make sense considering he was already showing a firearm.  But he wouldn’t let them do that either.

“You’re carrying a firearm and taking a picture of a federal building,” the cop exclaimed, trying to justify the pat down.

Then they demanded to know who he was, but didn’t get anywhere with that either.
Here is a portion of the exchange:

Will the South Survive?

This monument is dedicated to the Confederate defenders of Charleston. It overlooks the Fort Sumter on an island off the bay.

The desperate and all-consuming rush for money today has Southern States outbidding each other for how many tax dollars can be given away to big business or Hollywood, calling this “economic incentives” and claiming that somehow it is the duty and obligation of government to create employment for all.  The de-Southernized South has become the land of “you guys,” fast food and mega-store chains, “lunch” instead of dinner, and what those who refuse to assimilate call “que” – formerly known as Southern pork barbeque.

Will the South Survive?

“The Tullahoma local newspaper reported that the town was trying to pass liquor-by-the-drink laws to woo “up-scale” restaurants to locate themselves at the interstate interchanges. Such new South boosterism has made heavy inroads into local culture.

New South boosterism began in the nineteenth century with Henry Grady, editor of the Atlanta Constitution newspaper. Boosters and their legislation promised that all the South needed was to give up everything that makes us the South and become just like the North, and we would all be happy and wealthy (nobody mentions boring).

A Chamber of Commerce might conclude that we need to entice more national chains to establish prosperity, but chains and industry move elsewhere, leaving behind unemployment, a victim mentality, and no lasting prosperity.  I call this kind of approach, “homo economicus” anthropology.  It reduces everything – and every man – to a question of money.

One hundred and twenty years later, the promised still haven’t been fulfilled. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry, or puke, but I am pretty sure that passing liquor-by-the-drink laws will not bring economic nirvana to Tullahoma.  When you make a bargain to sell your soul, first make sure that the devil can pay.

Will boosterism finally gobble up the South? On the surface, the homogenization of culture that comes with the local economy relying on big business and chain stores means we are steadily being de-Southernized.  The whole effect is to homogenize and standardize the landscape.  That seems to be proceeding fast, while the people themselves seem unchanged.  What’s happening to the roots of Southern culture is anybody’s guess.  On the outside the country here is peaceful, pleasant, friendly, independent and helpful, but at the same time there’s that welfare mentality, some very fat people, and loads of government economic intervention.

The courthouses at the heart of each county tell this story of the South eloquently. Giles County 1910 courthouse retains the integrity of the South’s past. In Lawrenceburg sits a hideous 1960s “Modern” courthouse.  In Waynesboro looms a 1970s tenement-style concrete slab.  In Winchester squats a blocky 1936 “American fascist” look that would gladden the heart of any fascist or Soviet architect.

Gone are the stately courthouses, the statues of soldiers holding muskets and facing north, symbols of the community’s continuity and long life, and with them fast disappears our local history.

Nevertheless, many of these counties have attracted back-to-the-land, simple-life people, and their roots are permanent so they will recreate permanent prosperity. The land is rich, the people true, the leadership clueless. I could move elsewhere, but Tennessee is my home.  Our family could do a lot worse than finding itself at home here.

Perhaps the fate of the Magic Road says it all. The State is turning Highway Sixty-four into a four-lane, bypassing exquisite little villages like McBurg and big towns alike.  I know it’s faster, but God help me, I do love the old road better.”

President Obama's Surprise Revelation of Sealed Benghazi Indictment

President Obama surprised aides when he revealed today the existence of a sealed indictment in the Benghazi, Libya, attack, leaving some wondering if he crossed a legal line.

At a press conference at the White House, President Obama was asked whether justice would come to those responsible for the terrorist attack nearly a year ago in Benghazi, Libya, that killed four Americans, including the U.S. ambassador.

"[W]e have informed, I think, the public that there's a sealed indictment," the president responded. "It's sealed for a reason. But we are intent on capturing those who carried out this attack, and we're going to stay on it until we get them."

That marked the only official confirmation so far of a sealed indictment in the Benghazi case. For days, officials across the law enforcement and intelligence communities have refused to publicly confirm reports of a sealed indictment.

After all, according to federal law, "no person may disclose [a sealed] indictment's existence," and a "knowing violation … may be punished as a contempt of court." Contempt of court carries a maximum sentence of six months in jail.

A U.S. official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, called the president's disclosure "crazy."
"Doesn't the law apply to the president too?" the official asked, and then jokingly added, "I guess he could pardon himself."

McCain and Graham: "delusional" and "liars."

Via avordvet

America’s intricate alliance with Egypt, woven over four decades, is standing on the verge of collapse over the failure of the Obama administration to comprehend the revolution that ousted the Muslim Brotherhood from power in Cairo.

In a cascade of mutual recriminations over the past three days, President Mansour and his prime minister, Hazem Biblawi, described two senior American senators, sent as emissaries of President Barak Obama, as “delusional” and “liars.”

The two senators arrived with demands to release all Muslim Brotherhood leaders being held under arrest and to integrate the party into the new revolutionary government. Otherwise, they warned, the Obama administration will cutoff all financial and military aid to Egypt.

Spokesmen for both the presidency and the prime minister immediately took umbrage, joined by an array of press commentators, who accused the two Americans, Senators McCain and Graham, of “manufacturing facts” and of “unwelcome interference in Egypt’s internal affairs.” The flagship Egyptian newspaper, Al Ahram, said the senators engaged in “foolish statements that are unacceptable.”

‘Totally Offensive and Inappropriate’: Military Base Reportedly Hosts Drag Queens During ‘Diversity Day’ Celebration

Drag Queen Air Force

Several drag queens reportedly took the stage at the Los Angeles Air Force Base on Thursday as part of the military base’s 2013 “Diversity Day” celebration.

According to Fox News’ Todd Starnes, three individuals dressed in drag were featured in a musical performance that sparked outrage among some military personnel.

“I am really surprised that this happened on a military installation,” an unidentified airman reportedly told Starnes. “I get that people want to be able to have committed relationships with members of the same sex, but this crossed the line.”

Another said the performance was “totally offensive and inappropriate.”

Photos reportedly from the event appear to validate the claims, showing two individuals dressed in drag performing to a small crowd on the military base.

The majority of voters think American are too dependent on the government and said the federal structure itself is to blame.

In a Fox News poll released Wednesday, 74 percent responded Americans rely too much on the government and not enough on themselves. Most all Republicans - 87 percent - said that was the case, followed by 80 percent of independents and 58 percent of Democrats.

Whose responsibility is it to help those in need?
Fifty-three percent of those responding said the dependence was blamed on the ease of receiving government assistance as opposed to necessity due to the severity of the recession.

Hmm.  Thinking about the ram who obviously sees a threat in  the bike intruding upon his territory, I thought, as I was outside peeing in the grass which is my preferred place after dark, that although my mother would always tell me to "water the flowers" I hadn't connected this to the fact that many male animals mark their territory by doing precisely this.  Then I thought, this must couple with the reason that  I think nothing at all of having as many females as possible in the house, but am exactly the opposite when it come to males........
