Dear Liberal…Here’s Why I’m So Hostile
Via smokeeater
This essay is a bit of departure from my usually reasonable and logical approach to important issues. That’s not to say that the essay isn’t well-reasoned and is bereft of logical argumentation, but I freely admit that it’s polemical, in nature. Sometimes you’re just pissed, and you need to vent. Here’s my vent…
Lately, I must admit that my hostility towards your political ilk has ramped up, pretty dramatically. No, it’s not because we, at this point in my life, have a half-black president in the White House, and I’m some closet racist who is becoming increasingly frustrated at the prospects of the White Man’s power slipping through my fingers. I know that you’ve accused our side of such nonsense, and the thought keeps you warm at night, but I can assure you that it is a comfortable fiction of which you should probably divest yourself.
Now before I waste too much of your time, let’s establish who I’m talking to.
If you believe that we live in an evil, imperialist nation from its founding, and you believe that it should be “fundamentally transformed”, lend me your ears.
If you believe that the free market is the source of the vast majority of society’s ills and wish to have more government intervention into it, I’m talking to you.
If you believe that health care is a basic human right and that government should provide it to everyone, you’re the guy I’m screaming at.
If you think minorities cannot possibly survive in this inherently racist country without handouts and government mandated diversity quotas, you’re my guy.
If you believe that rich people are that way because they’ve exploited their workers and acquired wealth on the backs of the poor, keep reading.
Pretty much, if you trust government more than your fellow American, this post is for you.

Benghazi witnesses: 'Personnel were not armed' : Directly contradicts narrative in State Department review report
Testimony by Benghazi witnesses and victims stating personnel inside the U.S. special mission were not armed directly contradicts the State Department report on the Sept. 11, 2012, attack, WND has learned.
Rep. Lynn Westmoreland, R-Ga., chairman of the House Intelligence Subcommittee, told Fox News that State Department employees inside the mission “were not armed, not kitted up and there hadn’t been any shots fired from our side as far as the testimony reveals.”
Westmoreland was commenting on closed-door testimony given to his intelligence committee.
In contrast, the extensive report released by the State Department-sponsored Accountability Review Board, or ARB, specifically states personnel inside the mission protecting the compound and Ambassador Chris Stevens were armed and had their security kits.

North Korea Admits Detaining American; Family Appeals for Release
The California family of a Korean War veteran held in North Korean custody since last month appealed to the Pyongyang government on Friday for his safe return, calling his detention during a sightseeing trip a "dreadful misunderstanding."
Echoing comments from their son earlier in the day, Alicia Newman also said that relatives of her 85-year-old husband, Merrill Newman, have had no word on the state of his health, whether medications sent to him were received or why he was detained.
She said her husband was seated on an Asiana Airlines plane on the last day of his 10-day trip, Oct. 26, waiting to take off, when North Korean authorities boarded and took him away.

Coroner: elderly woman dies in gun battle, shoots suspect
Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore said an elderly woman died in a gun battle outside her home early Saturday morning.
Shore said the shooting happened around 1:00 a.m. outside a home on Rayben Lane, just off Airline Road.
Shore said Dorothy Hendrix, 76, came home to find three armed men at her home.
He said Hendrix pulled out a gun and fired at the men, and one of them returned fire, hitting her at least once.

Nuclear option could make repealing Obamacare easier
“There’s no limiting principle in the principle they’re invoking,” Will said on Special Report on Fox News on Thursday night. “That is majorities should rule all the time.”
He continued: “What this means is if in the spring of 2017 there’s a Republican president, which there could be, the Republicans still hold the House, and they have 51 senators, they can repeal Obamacare with 51 votes. And I’m not sure the people who did this today have thought this.”

Meet the Spies Doing the NSA's Dirty Work
Via avordvet
With
every fresh leak, the world learns more about the U.S. National Security Agency's
massive and controversial surveillance apparatus. Lost in the commotion has
been the story of the NSA's indispensable partner in its global spying operations:
an obscure, clandestine unit of the Federal Bureau of Investigation that, even
for a surveillance agency, keeps a low profile.
When
the media and members of Congress say the NSA spies on Americans, what they
really mean is that the FBI helps the NSA do it, providing a technical and legal
infrastructure that permits the NSA, which by law collects foreign
intelligence, to operate on U.S. soil. It's the FBI, a domestic U.S. law
enforcement agency, that collects digital information from at least nine
American technology companies as part of the NSA's Prism system. It was the FBI that petitioned the Foreign Intelligence
Surveillance Court to order Verizon Business Network Services, one of the United States' biggest telecom
carriers for corporations, to hand over the call records of millions of its customers to
the NSA.

Food Police Will Soon Hit Businesses with Pointless Regulations
Via avordvet
A. Barton Hinkle, a Richmond Times-Dispatch columnist and Reason magazine contributor, wrote a fascinating and chilling column this week about the Food and Drug Administration expensive and burdensome new menu labeling scheme.
The regulations will “dictate the disclosure of calorie counts for foods sold in restaurants, grocery stores, delis, bakeries, coffee shops, and even gas stations,” according to Hinkle. And those businesses will pay a hefty price to comply with the policy. The federal government figures the rules will “cost more than $1 billion and require more than 14.5 million hours of labor to meet.”
The calorie posting regulations, which are expected to go into effect any day, have been debated for three years. Why? Because it’s confusing as hell to try to figure out how to force business owners to post the calorie count for custom made food orders.

Tea Party to Mitch McConnell: 'You Cannot Win Without Us'
A major GOP donor who told Breitbart News Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell made disparaging remarks about the Tea Party movement and about Sens. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Mike Lee (R-UT) continues to stand by his original story after claims that the reports were not accurate.
This individual reported that on the Oct. 30 fundraising call American Crossroads’ Karl Rove and Steven J. Law held with McConnell, “McConnell specifically talked about Mike Lee by name, specifically talked about Ted Cruz by name, and he specifically talked about the Tea Party by name,” the donor told Breitbart News in response to a story Rove’s and McConnell’s teams have purported shows otherwise. That story, published by Charlie Spiering at The Washington Examiner earlier on Friday, confirms that McConnell “criticized conservative groups who supported the plan to defund Obamacare” and that he also criticized those conservatives who “are now actively working to defeat him in Kentucky.” The article adds that McConnell “repeatedly mentioned the Senate Conservatives Fund by name.”
Spiering, who says he was exclusively provided a 27-minute audio file of the call, reports that McConnell did, as Breitbart News’ source said, talk about dealing with conservative “schoolyard bullies” by “punching them in the nose.”

Jefferson Davis Memorial Park
The 13-acre
Jefferson Davis Monument Park at Irwinville, Georgia, features the
Jefferson Davis Memorial Museum built in 1939 as a project of the Works
Progress Administration. A fierce opponent of FDR, Governor Eugene
Talmadge ensured that Georgia would receive credit for building the
museum. The land was deeded to the State by Judge Reuben Walton
Clements with the wish that “no Yankee ever own this hallowed ground.”

Jefferson Davis Memorial Park
“[Near]
Irwinville [is the] Jefferson Davis Memorial State Park . . . an area
of some twelve acres commemorating the site where the President of the
Confederacy was taken prisoner by Federal troops at the close of the
war. After seeing Davis arrested, the father of James D. Clements (who
was later one of the actual donors of the park site) vowed to commit the
land to the people of South. A stone marker designates the exact spot
on which Davis was captured.
The
Confederate Museum, of modified Southern Colonial [architectural]
style, contains a collection of documents relating to the Confederacy
and relics of the War between the States. A superintendent is on duty to
answer questions.
The
site of the park is pleasingly located near a trailing brook in a grove
of Georgia longleaf pine. Paths interlace the adjoining woodland which
is in the center of some of the finest farmlands in Georgia.
The
Davis Monument, a granite shaft surmounted with a bronze bust of Davis,
bears on its side a bas-relief panel depicting his capture. Davis had
left Washington, Georgia, where his last cabinet meeting was held, and
with his family was on the way to a Southern port. Early in the morning
of May 10, 1865, he was overtaken by Union soldiers and sent to Fortress
Monroe.
To
the right of the monument a small stream can be crossed to the skirmish
ground, a hillside covered with a growth of wiregrass and tall yellow
pines. A brief engagement occurred here in the early morning of May 10
between a detachment of the Michigan cavalry, attempting to cut off the
Davis party, and a body of Wisconsin cavalry on the same mission. Each
mistaking the other for Confederate forces, opened fire, and harm was
done before daylight permitted identification. A marker indicates this
spot.”

During chilly November, feds jet off to Caribbean resort at taxpayer expense
Via Jeffery
Down go the temperatures, and away go the bureaucrats to the Caribbean, nonetheless.
A group of federal officials skipped chilly Washington this month for a taxpayer-funded trip to the Virgin Islands in the name of protecting the world’s coral reef.
The organizer, the U.S. Coral Reef Task Force, isn’t saying much about the total cost or reasons for the trip or why officials chose the St. Croix beachfront resort Buccaneer Hotel (made famous by an episode of TV’s “The Bachelor”) as their destination.
But life couldn’t have been too bad for the G-men and G-women at the swanky resort, which is surrounded by a lush green golf course and boasts rooms with rates that begin at $323 a night. “Gracious, elegant, legendary” is how the 17th-century resort bills itself.
How nice.........

Removal of Obamacare 'Anonymous Shopper' Tool Enrages Republicans
I promise to do everything my master tells me.
A key feature of the Obamacare website that would let people window-shop for plans and pricing data was one of the few functions that actually worked — yet administration officials told Congress it "failed miserably" before the Oct. 1 launch, CNN reported Friday.
CNN reported that documents show the "Anonymous Shopper" function passed a key test almost two weeks before the HealthCare.gov launch, yet was turned off and is still unavailable to users.
Its absence, one expert told CNN, is "a major design failure."
Online window shopping "is how people have become accustomed to shopping online," Sam Karp, vice president of programs at the California HealthCare Foundation, told CNN. "Whether it's for airplane flights or shoes, people have become accustomed to anonymously shopping without entering credit card or personal information."
House Republicans suspect the function was turned off to hide the sticker shock of insurance plans' costs and force Americans to jump through hoops before they could shop, CNN reported.
"Anonymous Shopper" was supposed to let people compare health insurance plans without opening an account, verifying their identity, or determining whether they qualified for a federal subsidy, CNN noted.

Arizona high school student suspended after fight over Confederate flag
Via WiscoDave
An Arizona teenager is protesting his school's decision to punish him
after getting into a fight with another student over a Confederate flag
displayed on his truck.
Jacob Green, a junior at Millennium High School in Goodyear, tells MyFoxPhoenix he was suspended for five days after defending himself against a classmate who confronted him about the flag, which has flown his truck for six months.
"I've done nothing wrong," Green told the station. "I've flown a flag on my truck. Somebody fought me because of it. I didn't fight him."
In an email to parents following the incident, school officials explained that both students were suspended and that Jason was prohibited from bringing the flag on campus.

NEW BLACK PANTHER LEADER: KILL WHITE BABIES BY BOMBING NURSERIES
Via III Percent Patriots
In a video posted at Breitbart.com on Tuesday, a New Black Panther
Leader identified by The Blaze as possibly being King Samir Shabazz,
said that blacks will have to kill white babies “seconds” after they’re
born, while suggesting bombing nurseries.
The Blaze also noted that the host, presumably Shabazz, also said that “blacks are ‘too scared’ to drag whites out of their houses, skin them, hang them in trees, drag them behind trucks, and pour acid on them. He talks about that as he announces the desire for a new ‘military.’”
In another piece of audio posted at Breitbart, New Black Panther Party Chief of Staff Michelle Williams said the black community in Tampa is “under siege,” and attacked white people as well as black conservatives.
While ranting about why she hates white people, she “vowed that as long as whites keep characterizing blacks as ‘ni***rs,’ her ‘feet [will be] on your motherf*****g necks,’” The Blaze added.
What a joke. Good luck, children.
