Representative
Larry Pittman (R, Cabarrus, GRNC ****) was critical to passing the
largest expansion of gun rights in North Carolina history, House Bill
937.
How
so? With GRNC support, Pittman led a “floor fight” to return restaurant
carry to a bill from which leadership had stripped it. Realizing the
seriousness of the effort, House leadership later moved restaurant
carry, the Senate improved it, and the rest is history.
It takes guts to stand up to leadership in defense of gun rights,
but there is a price: So called “mainstream” Republicans are determined
to remove Pittman. Now the most pro-gun member of the NC House is

Pro-gun Trudy Wade plans fundraiser
Another
friend of NC gun owners is Sen. Trudy Wade (R, Guilford, GRNC ****)
who is campaigning for re-election to the NC Senate District 27.
Sen.
Wade's fundraiser will be held February 11, from 6 – 9 pm at Riders in
the Country, 5701 Randleman Road, Randleman, NC. $100 donations provide
prime rib dinner for two and raffle entry to win a Jeep Wrangler sport
or $15,000. A cash bar will be available.
Tickets can be purchased at the next Greensboro gun show, Feb. 1st and 2nd, Saturday 9 am – 5 pm and Sunday 9 am – 4 pm, at a table at the end of Hall A near the restrooms.
