‘A State of Treason’

Via Michael

 A State Of Treason

With mid-term elections right around the corner, David Thomas Roberts couldn’t have timed the release of his new book any better. Patriotic to the core, and passionate about all things ‘Texas,’ this is Roberts’ second foray into the political thriller arena.

A State of Treason  is a hair-raising cautionary tale that throws liberty-loving Texans and their governor into a whirlwind of danger in their fight for freedom.
“The book is sure to have an impact on anyone who feels the government is threatening individual liberties by overstepping their power in open contempt of the Constitution,” says Roberts.
Thanks to a U.S. President with outward contempt for the Founding Fathers and the limits of the U.S. Constitution, and an administration that is constantly embroiled in scandals, the U.S. electorate is more polarized than in any other time in modern history.

Determined to eradicate its political enemies, namely the Tea Party, the administration orders unconstitutional actions that include warrantless arrests of its Texas members.

Imagine a mosquito landed on your arm. Would you swat it? Simple socialist logic suggests that you should let it be. After all, all biting mosquitoes bite are single mothers who need your blood to complete their reproductive cycle. Moreover, the sting isn’t fatal or even disabling to you, merely slightly itchy. Transmission of malaria and West Nile disease is only a factor in some areas, so there’s no long-term threat to your life and health. Let the mosquito be!

Somehow, I get an impression that you would kill that poor, benighted insect that was only following its instincts. So you have no trouble using deadly force to stop a small imposition on you by a being with no moral sense. Fine! Let’s talk about cute, cuddly puppies instead.

Imagine going on a hike and getting surrounded by a pack of canines, wolves or feral dogs.

And So It Begins… 2nd Potential Ebola Patient Being Monitored in Dallas

 http://theconservativetreehouse.files.wordpress.com/2014/10/ebola-dallas.jpg?w=640

Whether or not Ebola is transmissible through the air, which is the subject of much debate and great speculation, we do know that close physical contact with an infected person is a sure fire way to put one’s self at risk of contracting the virus.

After yesterday’s bombshell admission that an Ebola patient is being treated in Dallas, a second potential victim is now being monitored. This person evidently had close physical contact with “patient zero.”

Up to 12 people could be infected with Ebola including five children, it was revealed today, as health officials scramble to contain the deadly virus following the first diagnosis on U.S. soil.

Gun-Friendly Small Businesses Popping Up Across America

While several gigantic chain stores have recently decided to ban guns, small businesses around the country are taking the opposite approach – and it is paying off.

Business is booming at places like Shiloh Brew & Chew in Maryville, Tennessee, which posted a “guns are welcome” sign earlier this year. At The Cajun Experience in Leesburg, Virginia, a promotion meant to attract armed customers resulted in an “overwhelming” response, owner Bryan Crosswhite says.

Crosswhite has even started a website — www.2amendment.org — listing pro-gun businesses around the country. More than 57,000 businesses have already signed on.

Feminists call for equality and then scream “unfair"when they get it

As a woman, a mother and grandmother of girls and boys, I am appalled at the attitude, today, of those women who call themselves feminists or liberated and demand that they be more represented in “male” dominated places of work, including government,  but are quick to deny responsibility for behavior.

As a woman, a mother and grandmother of girls and boys, I am appalled at the attitude, today, of those women who call themselves feminists or liberated and demand that they be more represented in “male” dominated places of work, including government,  but are quick to deny responsibility for behavior.

Yet, while women are knocking on the glass ceiling, complaining about access,  they will not take responsibility for their actions after hoisting a glass or two or five. Their attitude reminds me of the comments made by Lord Rabbi Jonathan Sacks “The story of humanity has been for the most part a flight from responsibility. The culprits change. Only the sense of victimhood remains. It wasn’t us… To be human is to seek to escape from responsibility.”

Wake up young ladies. You wanted sexual liberation. You got it. But the right to sex with anyone at any time comes with-wait for this-responsibility. We don’t live on Sesame Street or in Mr. Roger’s Neighbourhood. We live in a world where bad things happen-sometimes for no reason and sometimes because we make wrong decisions.

Oh, boy: Man in Dallas With Ebola Initially Sent Home With Antibiotics

http://1clicknews.com/wp-content/uploads/newsimage/1412127545649_wps_5_Pedestrians_walk_outside_.jpg

A man with Ebola in Dallas was initially sent home from the hospital with antibiotics after seeking treatment for an unknown illness, officials said.

The man, whose name wasn’t released, is the first case of the deadly viral infection to be diagnosed outside of Africa. He traveled from Liberia and arrived in the U.S. on Sept. 20, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said yesterday.

The man is being kept in isolation in an intensive care unit. He had no symptoms when he left Liberia and began to show signs of the disease on Sept. 24, the CDC said. He sought care on Sept. 26, was hospitalized two days later at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital and is critically ill, said CDC Director Thomas Frieden. The agency is working to identify anybody who had contact with the man and track them down, he said.

Marine vets enter DC to raise support for Tahmooressi

President Barack Obama refused to see two former U.S. Marines who walked hundreds of miles to the White House to raise awareness of a fellow Marine jailed in Mexico.

Terry Sharpe and Allen Brown completed their walk on Sunday, arriving at the White House with a police escort and a number of others who support their efforts to secure the release of Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi. They were not invited inside the White House, nor did anyone from the Obama administration apparently greet them.
