Poppy seller burned in aerosol attack in Manchester

A 15-year-old Army cadet who was selling poppies for Remembrance Day suffered burns to his face in an attack with a lit aerosol can.

The boy, who was wearing his uniform, was at a bus stop near Manchester Art Gallery at 18:00 GMT on Saturday when he was attacked.

Police said a man lifted an aerosol can and a lighter and sprayed him with lit fumes.

The cadet suffered burns to his face and singed hairs, officers confirmed.

Greater Manchester Police said the offender, described as black or Asian, (A Muslim) 5ft 8in tall and wearing a dark hooded top, then walked off without saying a word.

Saul Tepper (New York City 1899—1987) was the son of eastern European immigrants living on Manhattan's lower east side. He began his career as an advertising illustrator and story artist in 1925, with a parallel career as a songwriter and, finally, art director of television commercials. Wary Soldiers is an oil painting, 26 x 40 inches, sold at auction in 2010.

Remus says - Hispanics understand hand-feeding and exalting self-declared, practicing enemies is not a viable strategy. In the rest of America this destructive arrangement is being amplified by its own feedback. Ferguson is just the latest evidence of inherent instability. In 2/3 black Ferguson, justice and good will are clearly out of play when a black activist Attorney General issues a blatant us-versus-them statement, "This attorney general and this  Department of Justice stand  with the  people of Ferguson." Uh huh. "The people," wink wink. Such normalcy as remains elsewhere is visibly faltering. Sides are being taken, fervently or reluctantly. In sports the game is played to settle the question of which is the better team. This game was scheduled long ago. It will be played. We shall see who's outwitted who. We shall see which associations are forced contrivances and which are freely entered into. Stay away from crowds.

You can put a fork in Silicon Valley. They are done. Jesse “King of Beers” Jackson has his talons in their tills and they have maybe, at best, 10 more years in which they will be a positive and innovative source of American technological advance. He informs us that ”Hi-tech giants have a moral and economic duty to promote inclusivity in their workforces.” This is how the worm infests the apple. This is how America will one day cease to be functional nation, says Repair Man Jack in this article, How the Worm Crawls Into the Apple, at Red State

New York State schools drop history requirement - The Regents, as part of their effort to promote new national Common Core standards and mystically prepare students for non-existing 21st century technological careers, voted unanimously that students did not have to pass both United States and Global History exams in order to graduate from high school and maintained that they were actually raising academic standards... Merryl Tisch, Chancellor of the State Board of Regents, described the change as an effort to "back-fill opportunities for students with different interests, with different opportunities, with different choice."

Last laugh - One of the last men alive in Constantinople when the Plague of Justinian wiped out the city was the poor servant who cleaned out the drains with his hands beneath the morgue. Procopius tells us that he was laughing as he walked out the gates of the city. The poorest man in the city who could afford no doctors or medicine was one of the very few left alive. All the wealthiest had died with their expensive physicians buried alongside them after they had been fleeced for their entire fortune with useless quackery in search of the cure.

White House consensus - Netanyahu’s performance as an Israeli Defense Forces commando staging raids along the Suez Canal and deep within Syrian territory during the 1973 Yom Kippur War should have no bearing on Netanyahu’s status as a chickenshit. At the time, White House aides noted, Obama was himself forming his own elite unit in Hawaii, one that was eventually known as “The Choom Gang.”

It's fitting that it was named Sherman then. :)
The Sherman tank - Most tanks at the time ran on diesel, a safer and less flammable fuel than gasoline. The Sherman’s powerplant was a 400-horsepower gas engine that, combined with the ammo on board, could transform the tank into a Hellish inferno after taking a hit. All it took was a German adversary like the awe-inspiring Tiger tank with its 88-millimeter gun. One round could punch through the Sherman's comparatively thin armor. If they were lucky, the tank's five crew might have seconds to escape before they burned alive.

NC: Paul Valone Appeals to Gun Voters

https://pbs.twimg.com/profile_images/2560580859/2ohhk44m8it9lg4t36h6_400x400.gif

Have you ever heard this? “It doesn’t matter if I vote. The big money already has the election in the bag.” Even money says you’ve heard a gun owner give some variation of the “my vote doesn’t count anyways” excuse for not voting. Maybe you’ve even said it yourself.

They are wrong. The GRNC Political Victory Fund installed a sitting congressman, on his first run, by 86 votes. You heard it right: 86 votes. Numerous legislative races in North Carolina have been decided by less than 100 votes.

According to the most recent poll, incumbent Democrat Kay Hagan leads Republican challenger Thom Tillis in the race for US Senate by less than 1%. I’m not here to sing the praises of Thom Tillis. (I guarantee he hates me a lot more than he hates you.) But like it or not (and like him or not), a half dozen races – including ours – will determine whether Barack Obama and Harry Reid continue to control the Senate. If they win, I assure you we will lose.

Red Cross volunteer, 71, axed over gay marriage protest

Bryan Barkley, who staged a solo protest against same sex marriage in March

A volunteer has been dismissed from the British Red Cross for protesting against gay marriage.

Bryan Barkley, 71, was told he is no longer welcome at the charity because his views are incompatible with its values.

The church-going pensioner received his dismissal letter after holding a one-man protest outside his local cathedral.

He held up a placard saying ‘No same sex marriage’ and ‘No redefinition of marriage’.

Yesterday his supporters said the charity’s action was shocking and it was punishing volunteers for their thoughts and views.

Mr Barkley, who has worked for 20 years as a senior Red Cross volunteer, is appealing against his dismissal which he calls ‘unfair and without justification’.

The grandfather, who has been married for 42 years, joined the organisation after taking early retirement from his job as a civil engineer and had recently represented it at a Buckingham Palace garden party.

More Guns Plus Less War Equals Real Security: Ron Paul

Last week's tragic shootings in Canada and Washington state are certain to lead to new calls for gun control. The media-generated fear over "lone wolf terrorists" will enable the gun control lobby to smear Second Amendment supporters as "pro-terrorist." Marketing gun control as an anti-terrorist measure will also enable gun control supporters to ally with those who support any infringement on liberty done in the name of "homeland security."

Southern Nationhood and Foreign Recognition

 https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/67/Napoleon_III.jpg
 Emperor Napoleon III

Historian Emory Thomas wrote that Confederates believed themselves “heirs of the American Revolutionary tradition of 1776,” underscored by their President being inaugurated on Washington’s birthday and stating that “We hope to perpetuate the principles of our revolutionary fathers.”  President Jefferson Davis told his countrymen, “you assumed to yourselves the right, as your fathers had done before you, to declare yourselves independent.”

Southern Nationhood and Foreign Recognition

“[General Robert E. Lee] and Davis had decided to take the offensive in the east. As he had done the previous fall, Lee drove his army west of his enemy, crossed the Potomac upstream, and sent widely dispersed columns into Maryland. This time the Confederates continued up into Pennsylvania and posed a distinct threat to Washington and Baltimore.

The invasion would not draw off troops from Vicksburg, but should Vicksburg fall, its loss would be small indeed compared to a major victory before Washington. Lee had no illusions about besieging the enemy capital immediately.  He and Davis hoped to draw Hooker into another Chancellorsville; this time the ultimate prize would be Washington instead of Richmond, and this time perhaps the Southerners could achieve a battle of annihilation and at the same time a diplomatic coup.

Once in Pennsylvania, Lee expanded his thinking about the campaign and urged that Davis collect all available troops from the Carolinas, place Beauregard in command, and order an assault on Washington from the South. The idea might have had a decisive effect upon what began as a limited offensive, but Davis believed it too complicated and too risky.

Emperor Napoleon III . . . [in the late spring of 1863] came as close as he ever would [to recognizing the Confederacy].  While Napoleon was fretting anew about his nation’s need for cotton, . . . and digesting reports of the Southern victory at Chancellorsville, in England John A. Roebuck announced his intention to place before Parliament a resolution supporting immediate Anglo-French recognition of the Confederacy.

The Palmerston government let it be known that it opposed the project and justified the opposition on the ground that Napoleon had lost all enthusiasm for recognition. Such was not the case, though, though, and on June 18 the Emperor told Confederate diplomat John Slidell that he would “make a direct proposition to England for joint recognition.” Thus Roebuck confidently prepared to introduce his resolution on June 30, and Europe became an active front, along with Pennsylvania and Vicksburg in the Confederate war.

During June of 1863 the tide of Confederate independence and nationhood probably reached its flood.  [At] the time Southerners had a right to be optimistic, or at least hopeful, that their revolution would prevail, or at least endure. In the minds of its citizens the Confederacy was more a nation in June of 1863 than ever before or after.

Two years of war had transformed Southern political and economic institutions and the Southern people.  War and Confederate nationalism also conditioned Southerners creative energies in music, art, literature and learning.  The black experience during wartime underwent subtle but profound metamorphosis, and slavery in the Confederate South was an unsettled institution.  The end product of these Confederate alterations of antebellum norms was a distinctive national life behind the battle lines.”

Historic Documented "Eva Braun's" Personal 6.35mm Deutsche Ortgies Semi-Automatic Pistol

Via mpopenker

This pistol is documented as being the "One of A Kind", personal 6.35mm pistol that was given to "Eva Bruan" personally by Adolf Hitler. This pistol itself is a rather plain and diminutive, Deutsche Werkes Ortgies semi-automatic that was made in 1939 and is not what you would expect from someone in her position, or one that was given by the Fuhrer, Adolf Hitler. However the accompanying documents substantiate the historical lineage from the time it was removed from Eva Bruan's house in Munich in 1945, by the Munich Chief of police to the present day consignor.

Swedish police have ceded control over 55 “no-go zones” to predominately Muslim criminal gangs.

 http://cdn01.dailycaller.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/sweden-riots-1200-e1414789128977.jpg

An extensive report mapping out 55 no-go zones was released Oct. 24, showing where law enforcement has all but handed control to criminal gangs.

Officers frequently face outright attacks when trying to enter the areas, which is a step up from the previous problem with attacks on mailmen, fire trucks, ambulances and similar services. Fire trucks and ambulances had to wait for police escort to enter the areas, but now the police themselves need protection.

The no-go areas heavily coincide with the map of the 186 “exclusion areas” aka. crowded, predominantly Muslim immigrant ghettos, where education is low, employment is lower and the only local business thriving is drug dealing.

Convention of States: A runaway convention?

 why-750x400.jpg

It envisions a doomsday scenario in which delegates disregard the original issue, rewrite the Constitution, and change the entire American system of government. While this initial response is understandable, it is based on fear and misinformation.
Here are the facts:

1. There is a clear, strong single-subject precedent that would almost certainly be declared binding in the event of a court challenge. There have been over 400 applications from state legislatures for an Article V convention in the history of the Republic. No such convention has ever been called because there has never been an application from two-thirds of the states for a single subject. In addition to this, there is a huge amount of historical precedent that limits interstate conventions to a particular subject. (See Dr. Robert Natelson’s handbook).

An excellent new web-connected gun store

My friend Dennis Badurina, of Dragon Leatherworks fame, has just updated his store to make on-line sales. The site updates itself every 15 minutes, and is as close to live-time as they can get in inventory levels and availability. They also have an e-mail notification system where folks can get a system message the instant that something comes back in stock and is available.

The “Do Anything” Rifle

The EM-2 "Janson rifle" was an experimental British assault rifle.

Earlier today on Twitter I laid out my thoughts on what my “ideal” rifle would be (those of you who aren’t yet following me on Twitter can do so here), since I’ve been unable to find the “one gun” that would do everything that I would like a rifle to be able to accomplish (nor have I been able to find a unicorn).

In general theory, this rifle would be adequate as a hunting rifle for North American big game animals (deer, elk, bear, moose). It would also be useful as a self-defense/militia firearm, capable of running well in battle-rifle courses of fire.

These are the qualities I desire in this “do anything” rifle:

Tac-Con–Full Auto Speeds for Saiga 12, AK-47, AR-15

I first ran across Tac-Con at the SHOT show last year. And back in March I spent two days in Phoenix with them, blowing through .223 with Tac-Con’s 3MR. The trigger is incredibly fast, and surprisingly agile, too, which is the true appeal of it. Zipping through mag after mag in around 4 seconds can make you giddy. But mags dumps are just a novelty. Fun, yes, but if that’s all there was to Tac-Con, I’d still be giddy, but I wouldn’t be writing this.

Why Did Hundreds of Common Core Implementers Meet in Dubai?

Via comment by Anonymous on Hezbollah’s Pre-Schooler’s Guide to War: A Peek In...

NEW-LOGO1

Common Core is the indoctrination of Global Marxism

A concerned Williamson County [Tenn.] parent stumbled upon this, “On October 24 and 25, hundreds of schools, leadership teams, and teachers from across the region will gather in Dubai, to learn about the Common Core State Standards, share curricula and best practices, and network with each other.”

If Common Core is local and state-led why are they holding Common Core conferences in the Middle East including more than 20 other nations? If Williamson Strong is local and parent-led why is their logo included among the international organizations sponsoring this event?” asks Julie West. And, what is MENA? Middle East North Africa Common Core. Yep. Great article here explains it all.
