A “Satanist killer’s” home in North Carolina has been described as a house of horrors by law enforcement officers. Pazuzu Illah Algarad, 35, was arrested after the remains of two individuals were found behind his home in Clemmons, in a shallow grave.

The North Carolina Satanist shared the home with Amber Nicole Burch, 24, who claimed to be his wife. Cynthia Lawson, Pazuzu Illah Algarad’s mother, also lived at the same address. The bodies found in a shallow grave in North Carolina have been identified as Tommy Welch and Joshua Wetzler. Both men were in their 30s.

Appeals court: States can define marriage as 1 man, 1 woman

wedding_rings

A three-judge panel of the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Thursday stunningly affirmed the rights of voters in four states – Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Tennessee – to define marriage as the union of one man and one woman, throwing a boulder into the millpond of complacent assumptions by homosexual-rights advocates that same-sex marriage is a given across the United States.

The U.S. Supreme Court recently has refused to take on any same-sex marriage cases, allowing the movement to expand into about 30 states.

But Mat Staver, chairman of Liberty Counsel, which has fought on behalf of traditional marriage, said that now may change.

“With a divide in the appeals court rulings, the Supreme Court will likely take up the issue,” he said.

Homeschool: The beginning of a disturbing trend?

Via comment by Sioux on Williamson County, TN Schools Ban Christianity and...

Here's a fascinating article I just saw: School officials trying to bully homeschooling parents to put their kids back in school. The article dubbed it "the beginning of a disturbing trend."

Apparently homeschooling parents in Ritchie County, West Virginia are being contacted by school districts who don't like the fact that so many children are not enrolled in public schools (thus costing the districts $12,000 per pupil of government funding).

So what's a desperate school district to do? "The county’s superintendent ordered a campaign designed to convince homeschooling parents to put their children back in the public schools."

And how does a school district "convince" parents they shouldn't homeschool? By harassment, intimidation, and quasi-stalking. HSLDA reported that one family "had gotten so many calls at their place of employment that their work supervisor was asking questions about the calls."

GOP Will Control 70 Percent of All State Legislative Chambers

Everyone is (rightfully) buzzing about Republicans' dominant victories in contested Senate, House and gubernatorial races on Tuesday, but another historic GOP accomplishment shouldn't be overlooked: When January rolls around, the Republican Party will control more legislative chambers at the state level than ever before in the history of our nation.  That's no small thing. The Washington Post  reported on this outcome yesterday:

“Go Ask Those People Over There If They Would Be Willing To Be A Victim”

 http://cdn.bearingarms.com/uploads/2014/11/sky-harbor.jpg

When Dr. Peter Steinmetz slung an AR-15 muzzle-down over his shoulder last year and walked in into Phoenix’s Shy Harbor International Airport, he was, not, as some in the media have alleged, going to get coffee.

Speaking to Bearing Arms this morning, Steinmetz said that he set out that morning to make the political point that “we have non-infringeable rights” to carry firearms in this nation for our self-defense.

Dr. Steinmetz says that he walked “the entire length of the terminal” with very few people even noticing that he had a firearm slung over his shoulder. He says that it was only after walking the length of the terminal that he decided to stop at Starbucks to pick up a cup of hot chocolate, and it was only after picking up his hot chocolate that six Phoenix Police Department officers came running.

It's Over: DSCC Pulls Ads For Mary Landrieu in Louisiana Run-Off

After Republicans easily clinched a Senate majority on Tuesday night, we knew the run-off election in Louisiana wouldn't go well for Democrat Mary Landrieu against her Republican opponent Bill Cassidy and now, it just got a lot worse. POLITICO is reporting the DSCC has pulled funding for television advertising in the state.

While Brussels Burns In "Anti-Austerity" Riots, Here Is The Real Reason For Europe's Depression

Via Jonathan

Riot police clashed with demonstrators in the Belgian capital of Brussels on Thursday amid a massive protest against government plans to reform the country’s welfare system. This comes on the heels of violent French, Italian, and Spanish youth protests in recent weeks as the citizens of the non-Germanic European Union decry the 'austerity' they have been crushed by. What is odd, though, is externally, there has been 'no' austerity with debt loads rising for all these nations and debt/GDP at record highs for most. So where is the disconnect between a people under increasing financial pressure and a sovereign issuing more and more debt at will? The Telegraph has the stunning answer:

an audit, published this morning, found that £109 billion out of a total of £117 billion spent by the EU in 2013 was "affected by material error”. Brussels accounts have not been given the all clear for 19 years running. In other words, Brussels 'embezzles' billions of euros per year, and blames it on austerity. Is it any wonder, Europe is burning?

90-Year-Old WW2 Vet Charged For Feeding Homeless Again

Via LH

A 90-year-old World War 2 veteran has been apprehended and charged by police in Fort Lauderdale yet again after defying a new law that criminalizes feeding the homeless.

After his initial citation on Sunday for violating a recently passed city ordinance that prohibits the sharing of food, Arnold Abbott, founder of Love Thy Neighbor, garnered international media attention as his story went viral, but that didn’t stop police from interrupting another event last night on Fort Lauderdale Beach during which Abbott dished out free food to the homeless.

After police recorded the event from a distance, Abbott was eventually escorted away during an interview with a local news station before being fingerprinted and charged. Along with other volunteers, he could face a $500 fine and up to 60 days in jail.

Underground home was built as Cold War-era hideaway

Via commander_zero

J.R.R. Tolkien’s “The Hobbit” begins by describing the titular character’s underground home as “Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat.”

“It was a hobbit-hole,” the description concludes. “And that means comfort.”

The underground house at 3970 Spencer St. was built for comfort, too, with two hot tubs, a sauna and an in-ground pool in a room larger than some houses in the valley.

It was also constructed to withstand a nuclear blast. It had to be. Girard “Jerry” B. Henderson, who had the home built in 1978, planned to wait out the end of the world inside the structure. Now it’s on the market for $1.7 million, which includes the two-bedroom underground house, the one-bedroom underground guest house, the two-bedroom, two-story caretaker’s house, a four-car garage and more than 1 acre of surface property.

“I’ve been told when he built it, he had a million dollars of marble imported from Italy,” said Winston King of Kingly Properties, which is handling the sale of the house. “It’s here on the fireplace and around the pool now.”

9 Bills Republicans Should Pursue Immediately

The big question now confronts a newly-emergent Republican majority in the Senate and an overwhelming Republican majority in the House: what next? Some party leaders have called for working with the opposition; some have proposed comprehensive legislation. Others say it’s time to push forward with a hard-core conservative agenda, full speed ahead.

The answer truly lies in combatting the narrative that the media will no doubt embrace: Republicans as the Party of No. We saw this narrative emerge in the aftermath of the Republican victories of 2010; Obama then ran against the supposedly obstructionist Congress. The media, seeking to prop up a Hillary Clinton run, will now demonize the Republican Party as a roadblock to progress.

Which is why the GOP must reverse the narrative. It is President Obama who is the roadblock. He is, in fact, the President of No.

How can the GOP achieve this reversal? By moving beyond omnibus packages, pork-laden monstrosities cobbled together via a consensus-building process. Instead, Republicans should pursue short, single-issue bills, no more than 10 pages in length, with clear and concise language. The bills should all be simple, comprehensible, and inescapable in the conclusions constituents should draw from a Congressional vote on them.

Here are the top options for Republicans:

Williamson County, TN Schools Ban Christianity and TEACH Islam

Julie West, founder of Parents for Truth in Education, finds some scary stuff on the Williamson County, TN Schools website. She goes to the 7th grade Social Studies page and points out a few shocking things, beginning with the fact that we have been told “Common Core is only Language Arts (English) and Math.” First red flag. Here are other red flags that prove Common Core has an Islamic agenda prepared for the minds of our next American generation.

1. Why is CCSS, Common Core State Standards on the Social Studies page? Haslam/Looney said CCSS is only Math and Language Arts.

2. Why is a “religion” being taught in school? Christianity is banned, including the word Christmas, and prayer, etc. So why Islam? And, why only Islam?

3. According to the WCS website, more time is being spent on teaching Islam than on teaching the Roman Empire and its effect on American Law and Government, architecture, etc.

4. Under the heading ‘Islamic World Standards. Africa,’ the CC Curriculum teaches this; ‘Pillars of Islam.’ ‘Discover Islam.’ “Explore. Discover. Be Convinced.” Then, there’s “My Journey to Islam,” someone’s conversion story.

Is there a conversion to Christianity story in the CCSS curriculum? No. A Conversion to Judaism story? No.

300 Italian doctors warn of 'Trojan Horses of Ebola': Demand quarantine of everyone arriving from West Africa

 trojan-horse

Three hundred Italian physicians have sent a petition to the country’s minister of health calling African migrants to Italy the “Trojan Horses of Ebola.”

The doctors are demanding the quarantine of everyone arriving from an Ebola-stricken nation and have warned “each arrival poses the risk of being a Trojan horse that could spark a tragedy.”

An Ebola threat to Italy is particularly relevant to the U.S., because soldiers returning from Africa are being quarantined at a U.S. military base in Vicenza, Italy.

Dr. Giulio Scigliano, the Italian neurologist who arranged the petition, told WND he was motivated because he believes Italy’s health ministry is addressing the Ebola threat “not in terms of health but in political terms.”

Cruz, Lee Threaten 'Procedural' War on Senate Floor to Stop 'Lawless Amnesty'

Republican Senators Ted Cruz of Texas, Mike Lee of Utah, Jeff Sessions of Alabama, Pat Roberts of Kansas, Mike Crapo of Idaho, and David Vitter of Louisiana sent a letter to lame-duck Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada today saying that if President Obama takes unilateral action to grant amnesty to illegal aliens it "will create a constitutional crisis."

The senators told Reid that they would assist him in enacting a measure to stop Obama from unilaterally granting an amnesty, but that if Reid lets Obama go forward with such an amnesty they "would use all procedural means necessary" to make the Senate focus on the constitutional crisis they say that this "lawless amnesty" would create.

On Dec. 11, the continuing resolution now funding the government will expire. Before that date, both Houses of Congress will need to approve a new continuing resolution to fund the government beyond that date.

If the CR does not permit the Executive Branch to spend money on some action, the Executive Branch cannot take that action.

So let me lay out some simple TRUE PREMISES, and then ask a follow-up question.

A.)  The constitutional republic referred to as the United States of America no longer exists.  TRUE.
B.)  The Rule of Law is no longer in force in the former United States.  TRUE.

C.) The Constitution of the United States and the system of government it defines is therefore no longer in force.  TRUE.

D.) The body going by the name “United States Congress” has been rendered meaningless in praxis.  TRUE.

E.)  National-level representative politics in the former United States is a completely false facade, kabuki theater, designed to entertain and mollify the masses who are of average intelligence, and to launder looted money and enrich the oligarch class.  TRUE.

F.) Given the reality of the true premises above, any person who holds or seeks to hold national-level public office is, by definition, morally, intellectually and/or psychologically unfit to hold public office (The Barnhardt Axiom).  TRUE.

Okay, so now my question.
