Taxpayers might be shelling out more than $5 million for a new Confederate flag display at a museum.
The jewel of the new wing would be a glass case with the Confederate flag last seen as a team of state troopers pulled it down at a ceremony in July. The Legislature agreed to remove the rebel banner less than a month after nine churchgoers in Charleston were killed in what police said was a racially motivated attack. A Confederate flag had flown at South Carolina’s capitol for 50 years.

"Rebel banner"?? The Southern States did not rebel but withdrew from the union as " free and independent States" according to the principles enunciated in the Declaration of Indpendence. The uniting of the States in agreement with the Constitution was and is voluntary. They conferred no delegated power to the United States to force them to remain in Union and with no delegated powers the Federal a Government may do NOTHING according to the 10th Amendment.
ReplyDeleteThanks and inconvenient facts for liberals.
DeleteIt would have been cheaper to have left the Confederate flag where it belonged.

"Finding a proper home for the flag....."
ReplyDeleteIt was in it's proper home when it was on that flag pole, you idiot.
Besides, you can't wash away treason with $5.000,000 worth of "soap".
That's like a rapist dropping $1000 dollars next to his victim, and telling her it's for a new dress, shoes, hairdo, and a trip to the day spa.
Idiots and traitors all.
