Florida, illegal alien fugitive drags, injures Galleria shopper during purse-snatching

A fine, upstanding young man.....................

A fugitive out of Florida snatched the purse of a shopper at Hoover's Riverchase Galleria and dragged her a short distance before she was knocked to the pavement, authorities said.

Tonight, 28-year-old Oscar Villagram is in jail and police say at the time of the attack in Hoover he was on the run from a similar crime in Orange County, Florida. Hoover police Chief Nick Derzis said Villagram is in the country illegally.

"We certainly understand that immigration is a sensitive topic, but this case is an excellent reminder that there are, indeed, dangerous individuals who are in this country illegally,'' Derzis told AL.com. "Mr. Villagram has established a pattern of lying to law enforcement about his identity. He's preying on innocent citizens and, when arrested, he's providing false information, posting bond, and moving on to another location."

Sarah Palin: Planned Parenthood, not Confederate flag, to blame for more black deaths

Via Billy

Former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin has lashed out at Planned Parenthood in a new social media post that links criticism of the organization to the Confederate flag.

In a Sunday Facebook post, the former Alaskan governor showed an image of the Confederate flag next to the logo for Planned Parenthood with a message that the controversial banner tied to the old South kills fewer blacks than abortions provided at the organization. The post contained the hashtag #defundPlannedParenthood.

OUTRAGEOUS: George Will Accuses Ted Cruz of Using Senate to get into Presidential Debate!

Via Terry "More BS from Fox News. I hope they crash and burn."

 http://i0.wp.com/blogs.rollcall.com/wgdb/wp-content/uploads/sites/7/2013/07/cruz-206-062713.jpg

As soon as I can grab the video for this idiocy, I shall post it.

On Fox News Channel’s Special Report with Bret Baier, George Will just said that Senator Ted Cruz attacked Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on the Senate floor ONLY to ensure that he had the polling numbers to get into the Fox News debate on August 6th.

This is the shallow progressive crap that I’ve come to expect on MSNBC but with Fox News deciding to launch an all out assault on anyone opposed to “their boy” I hope their ratings crash and burn as they alienate the Tea Party and Conservatives who are sick of this bullcrap and lies.

I just wonder if Mr. Will has the balls to say that to Senator Cruz’s face and defend his comments. That I doubt as he is the biggest chickenhawk on the RINOmedia.

P.S. – Based on the recent polls before this conflict, he was already IN the debate.

Independent Russia, Iran threat to unilateral US actions: Ex-White House official

Dr. Roberts said  that "what we have is a situation where countries with independent foreign policy, that’s countries that do not always accommodate Washington; they are now regarded as enemy countries.

"So that’s one of the meanings of these statements, that Russia is a threat.

“The other meaning is that in the United States the military security complex has a budget from taxpayers, from public funds – a budget of one trillion dollars. I believe that is about two and a half times the size of the Iranian gross domestic product… just for the military security complex.

“So these are very large firms entirely dependent on public appropriations, that’s where their revenues come from.”

Dr. Roberts said if you have a budget of one trillion dollars, “you have to have a reason, especially when Americans themselves are having hard times, that’s the people who are paying the taxes.”

Illegal Aliens Jump Off Boat, Run Ashore, During Miami Beach Fashion Shoot (VIDEO)

Via comment by Cav Med on Caught on Camera: Illegals Smuggle Drugs Into Lare...

About 6 a.m. on July 10, Ekaterina Juskowski was shooting a video of her friend, a model, near 36th Street in the heart of Miami Beach.

She noticed that a blue-green boat in the background — she thought it was a scuba boat — was coming closer to shore and thought, "They are ruining my video."

Juskowski shut off the camera for a moment but turned it back on when all of the men on the boat —  about nine of them — jumped off and dashed across the sand and into the city, leaving the boat bobbing, empty, by the beach. Juskowski's video illuminated how brazenly migrants are entering the country along the Florida coastline.

Amazon restores Confederate items & more

Via SHNV

As soon as Amazon, eBay, and Wal-Mart announced that they were removing the sale of all "Confederate" merchandise Dixie Heritage went to work. EBay and Wal-Mart do not seem to be budging on the issue. Amazon has been open to talking.

A few years ago I had the privilege of meeting Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos. I had his personal email address. So our appeal to Amazon went right to the top. We were told that several groups were also lobbying for the restoration of Confederate items and put in contact with others lower in the corporate structure who were assigned to investigate the matter.

Our efforts, and those of other likeminded groups have been rewarded. Today, Amazon has restored Confederate merchandise. You can go to Amazon.com and type in "Confederate Flag" and a lot will come up.

Both eBay and Amazon are managed by folks in the Pacific Northwest. They simply do not understand how important Southern Heritage is to us Southerners. We want to let the folks at Amazon know that Southerners are a LARGE group and we cherish our heritage. Amazon and eBay talk. If Amazon sees a large surge in sales of heritage related items eBay will follow.

That is why we are putting out this week's newsletter a day early.

Amazon restored Confederate merchandise without fanfare, or even an announcement. They are doing it quietly. So let’s get busy showing our appreciation before our enemies get vocal. Let our Southern money outshout the liberal yankee lip flapping.

To help with that, I have lowered the prices on my items at Amazon. After printing cost and Amazon fees I will lose money on several items. But that’s OK. It is an honor and a privilege to advance the cause!

Here are some links to some great heritage items at Amazon. Just click on them:

SOUTHERN BAPTISTS RE-FIRE DEBATE OVER SOUTHERN HERITAGE

I do not know what happened. But I am reminded that God is in control of all things. Remember last week that I had reported that the North Carolina State paper was late in publishing my response to the attacks against our heritage and ancestors by high-ranking Southern Baptists. Had they published my reply when I had submitted it most likely it would have been lost in all the type over the ruling on "gay marriage." Instead, the late printing put it in a "dead" news cycle so it generated a LOT of reaction. So much that the editor of the Baptist News Global wire service decided to "turn the table" back in favor of our critics by subtly attacking me. To read the article, click this link:
https://baptistnews.com/culture/social-issues/item/30293-newspaper-op-ed-decries-bashing-of-confederate-flag

So this week my email and telephone have been pretty busy.  I am getting a LOT of calls at the church from people who are praying for me to repent of my "hatred." The funny thing is that these calls are not coming from the people I am accused of hating. They are coming from white liberals. And these white liberals are not calling from up north but from Alabama and Tennessee and Florida and the Carolinas.

I am also getting a LOT of supportive contacts too. A surprising number of them from people up North and from Southern people of color who know that their ancestors were also Confederate soldiers and supporters.

One of the people in the Southern Baptist Convention who has been a strong friend of Southern Heritage is Don Hinkle. He is the editor of the Missouri State paper. The Baptist News Global article quotes him as saying that he has reversed his position on our heritage and therefore so should I. But I just want to report that the BNG article is taking Don WAY out of context.

Needless to say, God has called us to be a voice. Sometimes, like like John the Baptist, that means being "the voice of one crying in the wilderness." Be that as it may, we will continue to raise our voice!

NEW ATTACKS ON OUR HERITAGE

INDIANA: State fair leaders in Indiana sent a letter to vendors this week, asking them to not sell or display Confederate flag merchandise at the event that opens Aug. 7.

NORTH CAROLINA: An unnamed group delivered a petition to Gov. Pat McCrory this morning at 10 am asking him to use his executive authority to halt the sale of North Carolina license plates bearing the Confederate flag.

The petition is reported to have just over 13,000. McCrory said he wants to stop issuing the plates, which have been given to more than 2,000 Sons of Confederate Veterans. But he says he thinks the law requires him to wait for General Assembly approval. At the same time, legislative leaders say it is the governor's decision.

The North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles received a high volume of requests for the specialty plates in June. Officials said DMV processed about nine months’ worth of orders in less than 10 days. the Governor also has to make a decision on a monuments bill passed this week that has drawn criticism for its protection of Confederate memorials.

South Carolina: Hillary Rodham Clinton praised South Carolina Republicans for removing the Confederate flag from Statehouse grounds but said the State must "dig deeper...Anybody who says we don't have more progress to make is blind."

Why Does Country Need New Citizens Who Won’t Defend It?

 http://media.townhall.com/_townhall/uploads/2015/7/22/11.png

The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services has announced a change in policy regarding the oath taken by naturalization candidates: They will no longer be required “to declare that they will ‘bear arms on behalf of the United States’ and ‘perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States.’”

Exclusion on religious and moral grounds has its roots in the Founding era, some will point out.
“After the Declaration of Independence, a number of state constitutions specifically recognized the rights of conscientious objectors,” the book Congressional Protection of Religious Liberty documents. “The 1776 Pennsylvania constitution provided: ‘Nor can any man who is conscientiously scrupulous of bearing arms, be justly compelled thereto…’”

Likewise, the constitutions of Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine provided similar exemptions. Those were practical recognition concessions concerning people and faiths that were already established at the time.

Still, this latest move by the Obama administration leaves open some questions.

At a hearing scrutinizing President Obama’s enforcement of federal immigration policy Tuesday, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, was involved in a heated exchange with Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Sarah Saldaña about the number of criminal illegal immigrants released by the administration.

Cruz asked Saldaña how many “criminal illegal aliens” the Obama administration released in 2013. “In [2014] It was a little over 30,000,” Saldaña answered. The Texas senator then asked: “How many murderers?” Saldaña did not know the specific answer, but said 121,000 were released who “committed crimes afterwards,” pledging to provide Cruz and the committee the exact numbers at a later time.

Measures before the Mobile County Commission that would have removed images of the Confederate flag from government property failed to gain enough votes Monday to be made into law.

Two resolutions were put forth my Commissioner Merceria Ludgood. One measure would have removed the third national Confederate flag from the courtyard outside Government Plaza, and the other proposed to remove images of the Confederate Battle flag from vehicles operated by sheriff's deputies.

Ludgood made motions to pass both resolutions, but each one failed for a lack of a second from either Commissioner Connie Hudson or Commission President Jerry Carl.

The Reverend Clementa Pinckney reportedly called himself the “itinerant pastor,” ministering to his flock in Charleston, traveling to his home in Jasper County, and carrying out his duties as South Carolina State Senator in Columbia.[1] Even in death he is itinerant, with his body (or body double) going on display in four venues before his burial on June 26, 2015. No photographs or videotaping were allowed, but the rite was recorded by the mainstream media, immortalizing the corpse and making it available for viewing on a repeat basis.

I Miss America

Michael Downing

I am 62 years old and I miss the America I grew up in and I am afraid it is gone for good. My parents did not have a working front door lock on our house until I was well into my teens. The only time someone came into our house during those years they were so concerned about coming in that they left a note with their contact information and only came in because they needed to make a phone call because of an accident with injury. Cell phones didn't exist.

We could and had to walk to school even if it took 20-30 minutes to get there. After school and on weekends we could hop on our bikes with our fish poles or bats and gloves and disappear without anyone worrying about where we were as along as we were home for supper. As I grew into my teenage years it wasn't unusual to see pick up trucks in the school parking lot with a rifle, a shotgun and a fish pole in the rack behind the seat and most didn't worry about locking their trucks. It wasn't unusual for folks to go out on a stand in the morning before school and head back out to hunt as soon as the bell rung for the day. No one ever got shot at school and no one worried that they would.

My father was a WII vet who grew up on a rural farm where the great depression meant little but he knew that neighbors took care of neighbors and so we were taught. The extensive garden he planted yielded a harvest that as children we took to the homes of those in our neighborhood in need especially the elderly. The instructions were for us to politely ask if they would help us out by taking some of the excess vegetables that we had so they would not go to waste. There was some public assistance but the few on it were embarrassed to be on it. My father and grandfather during deer season distributed meat where it was needed They were known to ask folks to go buy a deer tag and then take them to the registration station with a deer with their tag on it and then cut it up for them. Neighbors and churches took care of those in need.

I do not think we are going to go back again. As a people we have changed and we have forgotten where we have come from and who we are. I hope we can take a knee and pray to find our way back because if we don't there are dark days ahead indeed. As for me I am preparing for the dark days ahead because I don't believe we can go home again...

Plunging Republican Voter Confidence in GOP Direction: Whom the Gods Would Destroy They First Make Appeasers

 http://www.popularsovranty.org/siteimages/peoplevoice.png

Mike Scruggs

According to the Jones Cafe/C.E. Barnes Country Store Poll of Johnston County, N.C. potential voters, grassroots Republican and unaffiliated conservative voters range from "Very Disappointed" to "Mad as Hell" in their opinion of Washington-based Republican leadership. Last week they were at least happy that Donald Trump had been exposing and humbling the WIMP establishment in Washington as well as several immigration-wimp establishment GOP Presidential candidates. Many voters say they are fed up with appeasement prone WIMP Republican leadership. and will not vote for them even if they win the Republican Primary

This weekend, however, Trump stumbled during a national TV interview, while trying to prove he was not hostile to immigrants, saying he would offer amnesty to those who were “not the bad ones.”  That pretty much flipped his position to one very similar to pro-amnesty Republican candidates Bush and Rubio. He also said he would increase legal immigration, a policy which would be damaging to American workers and job seekers. For these reasons, NumbersUSA changed their rating on Trump to pro-amnesty. The episode was a strong indicator that Trump does not have a thorough understanding of the negative consequences of amnesty or excessive legal immigration on American workers and taxpayers. Unfortunately, it appears that most of the Republican Presidential candidates have not done their homework on immigration issues, which could have grave consequences for the nation.

However, under the same media interview pressures, Walker and Santorum held their ground on amnesty and repeated their positions that too much legal immigration hurts American workers. Republican Ted Cruz has been the most consistently anti-amnesty Republican, but according to NjumbersUSA, he has not yet taken a strong position on protecting American workers from excessive legal immigration.

The Jones Cafe/C.E. Barnes Store Poll is, of course, done by yours truly and is very informal.

However, a national Pew Poll released on July 25, strongly substantiates the informal Johnston County, NC poll. The Pew Poll shows Republican voter approval of GOP performance has dropped 18 percent in the last six months, from 86 percent approval to 68 percent approval. Independent approval dropped from 37 percent to 29 percent.  As the Pew analysts put it, "Republican voters have noticed the GOP's Obama-friendly governance.” The most prominent issues were in the areas of immigration, healthcare, and letting Obama get away with a dangerous nuclear treaty with Iran, but the GOP's overall tendency to reward big donors and ignore Republican voters has itself become a major issue.

The strongest Republican voter anger is against the Congressional leadership of John Boehner in the House, Mitch McConnell in the Senate, and the Republican National Committee, chaired by Reince Priebus.

Republican voters in North Carolina and South Carolina are also noticing that their predominantly Republican legislatures also tend to favor big donors over Republican voters. For example, a North Carolina House Bill (HB 328), introduced by Republicans and backed by the pro-amnesty, pro-cheap-labor North Carolina Chamber of Commerce and the North Carolina Farm Bureau would give drivers’ permits to illegal immigrant workers. It passed the NC House Finance Committee, even though a Civitas Poll showed that 74 percent of North Carolina voters were against it. They rightly see drivers’ permits for illegal immigrants as “red carpet” treatment and a huge magnet attracting hundreds of thousands of new illegal immigrants.

The South Carolina Legislature, also with a strong Republican majority, voted to remove the Confederate Flag from a memorial honoring Confederate dead. This was requested by Republican Governor Nikki Haley with strong pressure from RNC Chairman Reince Priebus and the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, a notably large contributor to South Carolina political campaigns. Nikki Haley’s belief that removing the Confederate Flag from its honored place would bring racial healing was based on appalling distortions of history and disregard for substantial numbers of the Republican base who know Southern history and are proud of their ancestors’ resistance to tyranny and invasion.

They regard the ignorant and often mean-spirited assertions of the NAACP and SPLC as slanderous and regard appeasing them as insulting, unwise and unjust. Haley’s belief proved wrong on both sides.  The NAACP and SPLC have now advanced to strident calls for removing any honor to Confederate dead or Confederate heroes, and Republican legislators continue to "catch hell" from their conservative constituents. Add these ingredients to disappointment with Republican appeasements of the Obama Administration in Washington, and you have a high probability of a low Republican turnout in 2016, sweeping many Republican legislators out of office.

The one great advantage for Republicans is that polls show Hillary Clinton is not trusted by substantial numbers of voters. But will the Democrats nominate a candidate with so many character and likability issues? Even more important, it appears to me that Barack Obama is by no means enthusiastic about Clinton. Who will replace her?

Republicans are going to have to clean up their act to recover public confidence even within the GOP. One thing for sure is that neither Republicans nor independents want to put any more immigration WIMPS in the White House, Congress, or state legislatures. Republican and conservative voters are also becoming alarmed at a Republican Party whose primary loyalties are to the U.S. Chamber, State Chambers, State Farm Bureaus, and other huge special interest associations and financial donors rather than conservative Republican principles and the common good of the people.

Forty-eight hours after Senator Ted Cruz’s historic speech where for the first time in the modern era a Senator from the  Republican Party attacks the Republican Senate Majority Leader for lying to the caucus and himself, and here is the grand total of the Fox News Channel coverage of this event:

Then suddenly, at 1 p.m. Eastern Time today, the network finally covers the story for all of one minute, with a bit mention and short piece of video from his speech. Nothing on the Friday night Special Report program, nothing on Saturday, nothing on their Sunday news program, zero, zip, nada when the network has its largest viewership.

Why is this happening and what is the real cause of the Faux News Channel disdain for Ted Cruz and other firebrands like Donald Trump?

A day in the life of the newest leader of white nationalists

Via comment by Anonymous on Is it time for the Confederate flag to be as taboo...

Late at night on June 17, after he and his wife had gone to bed, Matthew Heimbach’s phone rang on his nightstand. On the other end of the line was a man from the South Carolina field office of the FBI. The man asked Heimbach if he knew a man called Dylann Roof and, if so, if he knew where Roof was. Heimbach told the officer that he had never heard of Roof and wondered what the call was about. Without explaining further, the officer thanked him and hung up.

“That’s when things got weird,” Heimbach says. Soon calls were coming in from associates who had all gotten similar calls from the FBI, and they were all now wondering the same thing: Who was Dylann Roof, and why hadn’t any of them heard of him until tonight?

“None of us had ever even heard the name Dylann Roof before,” Heimbach says. “Now he was all anyone was talking about.”
