With that kumbayah moment at the Capitol in South Carolina, when the Battle Flag of the Confederacy was lowered forever to the cheers and tears of all, a purgation of the detestable relics of evil that permeate American public life began.

City leaders in Memphis plan to dig up the body of Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest, who is buried in a city park that once bore his name. A statue of the great cavalrymen will be removed.

“Nathan Bedford Forrest is a symbol of bigotry and racism, and those symbols have no place on public property,” said council chairman Myron Lowery (right)”What we’re doing here in Memphis is no different from what’s happening across the country.” Myron’s got that right.

Panicky Democrats are terminating their tradition of Jefferson-Jackson Day dinners, as both presidents were slaveholders.

Oversight and Judiciary Could Ask ATF about Twin Peaks Ballistics Report

“A McLennan County investigator has obtained a search warrant to extract a bullet from the arm of a biker — killed last week in a wreck — who was wounded in the deadly May 17 Twin Peaks shootout but left Waco before he was identified or arrested,” the Waco Tribune-Herald reported Wednesday.

He’s doing it because it may help identify the weapon used to create the wound, and wants to have the sample submitted to the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, which is conducting the forensic analysis of weapons, bullets, bullet fragments and casings recovered at the scene…” . . .

The curious thing about that is, even though the shootings happened on May 17, ATF still hasn’t released its findings, so they could not be included in the autopsy reports released last month on the nine bikers killed. And that’s after “ATF Senior Special Agent Nicole Strong said pieces of evidence from the Waco Twin Peaks cases … are being given top priority over other cases.”

Late in the morning of the Tuesday that changed everything, Lt. Heather “Lucky” Penney was on a runway at Andrews Air Force Base and ready to fly. She had her hand on the throttle of an F-16 and she had her orders: Bring down United Airlines Flight 93. The day’s fourth hijacked airliner seemed to be hurtling toward Washington. Penney, one of the first two combat pilots in the air that morning, was told to stop it.

The one thing she didn’t have as she roared into the crystalline sky was live ammunition. Or missiles. Or anything at all to throw at a hostile aircraft.

Except her own plane. So that was the plan.

GALLUP: 2 in 3 Hispanics Oppose Increased Immigration

Two out of three Hispanics oppose the establishment’s campaign to increase the annual inflow of migrants into the United States., according to an Aug. 20 report by Gallup.
That’s good news for Donald Trump, who has made pro-American immigration reform the centerpiece of his campaign.
It is bad news for Jeb Bush, who claims he can boost the one-in-four Hispanic support for the GOP by inviting more foreign blue-collar and college-graduates to compete for the jobs sought by American Hispanics.

Only 34 percent of U.S.-born Hispanics, and 33 percent of foreign-born Hispanics, want to increase legal immigration, said the Gallup report.
Sixty-four percent of each group of Hispanics want migration to be reduced or leveled, said Gallup, which released the report under a misleading headline, “U.S. Support for Increased Immigration Up to 25%.”
Twenty-six percent of self-identified Hispanics born in the United States, all of whom can vote, want legal migration to be reduced. However, the percentage of Hispanics opposing increases may be much higher, partly because a growing number of Hispanics now identify themselves as core white Americans.
Thirty-one percent of foreign-born Hispanics, few of whom can vote, want migration to be reduced.

Joseph Thomas Johnson-Shanks gunned down Kentucky State Trooper Joseph Cameron Ponder after a high speed chase last night.

Johnson-Shanks posted images on his Facebook page under the pseudonym ‘Jay MileHigh’ of himself attending Michael Brown’s funeral service as well as ‘Black Lives Matter’ demonstrations in Missouri.

Johnson-Shanks’s involvement with ‘Black Lives Matter’ is particularly concerning given that the movement’s inspiration is a convicted cop killer on the FBI’s ‘Most Wanted Terrorists’ list, and numerous supporters of BLM have threatened to kill cops in the past, as we document below.

There has been much said of late concerning the immigration flood going on in here. What I find most disturbing is the attacks on nations like Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic that are doing their best to stem the tide.

Even as the Germans say "No more!" and drop the gates of renewed border controls the eastern European nations continue to be attacked, particularly the Poles for not being sufficiently accommodating to the flood or "accepting" their "designated quota". Just because they are now part of the EU does not mean they will or should forget how their history diverges from that of western Europe.

Two were arrested by border agents in Texas. Another was found washing cars at a Santa Ana dealership.

The Salvadoran gang members were responsible, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials alleged, for the March assassination of Andrés Ernesto Oliva Tejada, a prosecuting attorney in the homicide unit of the Salvadoran Attorney General’s Office in the southeastern city of Usulután.

Within weeks of the killing, the suspects had made their way to the United States. And experts say this is far from the only case in which the epidemic violence in El Salvador is overflowing into nearly all points north — and especially in Los Angeles, where El Salvador’s two deadliest gangs were founded.

Without Government, Who Would Force A Men's Barbershop To Cut Women's Hair?

A barbershop that is set up specifically to serve men, must now pay $750 dollars after a Pennsylvania state investigation into "discriminatory" practices on the part of the barbershop owners.

The owner, John Interval, was fined $750 after he declined to cut a woman's hair. According to Interval:

"I didn’t really consider it so much a discrimination thing as – it’s a barbershop... for guys. You know, I’m not opposed to doing women’s hair...just not in this shop. I don’t even have [the equipment] to do women’s hair." Interval said.

Debt ratios have reached extreme levels across all major regions of the global economy, leaving the financial system acutely vulnerable to monetary tightening by the US Federal Reserve, the world's top financial watchdog has warned.

The Bank for International Settlements said the wild market ructions of recent weeks and capital outflows from China are warning signs that the massive build-up in credit is coming back to haunt, compounded by worries that policymakers may be struggling to control events.

"We are not seeing isolated tremors, but the release of pressure that has gradually accumulated over the years along major fault lines," said Claudio Borio, the bank's chief economist.

The Swiss-based BIS said total debt ratios are now significantly higher than they were at the peak of the last credit cycle in 2007, just before the onset of global financial crisis.

Krav Maga Student Turns Tables on Gang Member During Home Invasion

Erickson Dumaual was ambushed last Friday when two home invaders broke into his Santa Ana home at 4 a.m. and held a gun to his head.

While one of the men held Dumaual, a Krav Maga student, at gunpoint, the other started feeling about his room for valuables.

“The guy had a gun right at my head,” said Dumaual, in an interview with KTLA. When the man with the gun turned to look at his partner in crime, Dumaual decided to make a move.

“At that point I went for the gun,” said Dumaual, who took the intruder to the ground. “It was tough because he tried to pin me. It’s a battle, 50-50, who’s going to die here?”

Almost A Third Of Americans Could Imagine Supporting A Military Coup In The US

For many Americans, a coup in which the military seizes control of the federal government is starting to seem like a refreshing alternative to the existing administration, according to a new poll.

Conducted by YouGov, a new survey has found that 29 percent of Americans could imagine a scenario where they would support a military takeover in the United States. A total of 41 percent could not imagine supporting such an event. And so while the coup-supporters are still decidedly in the minority, the fact that the option polls so highly is remarkable. This translates to 70 million Americans who are potentially ready to support a coup.

The survey results revealed a clear political divide. Republicans were more than twice as likely to rate a potential coup more highly than Democrats, with the two parties polling 43 percent and 20 percent, respectively.

It was another swift act of violence carried out in the Islamic State, the execution of a man deemed to have insulted Islam and quickly put to death this week. His was not a beheading that would attract the world’s attention. It was a routine occurrence, carried out by a member of ISIS in the Syrian city of Aleppo, as part of the daily administration of the Islamic caliphate where Sharia is the law of the land and strict adherence is heavily policed.

But beyond the splatters of blood in the graphic images distributed by ISIS’ media arm was an equally unsettling sight. Near the dead man’s crumpled body stood a toddler, no older than three, staring matter-of-factly at something beyond the frame.

The child was not the first to bear witness to such violent acts.

Noticeably left out of the press release is the fact that Mr. Kamel’s Dallah Al Baraka Group, for which he is the Chief Executive, has been investigated by U.S. officials for bankrolling al-Qaeda’s operations worldwide.

Moreover, the bank was founded by former al-Qaeda chief Osama Bin Laden along with a group of Sudanese jihadists, the State Department has alleged, according to the Wall Street Journal.

And in the 1998 New York City trials of al-Qaeda members, witnesses testified that Mr. Kamel’s bank had previously transferred hundreds-of-thousands of dollars to al-Qaeda to help them buy an airplane, the report stated.

Additionally, Kamel’s father’s name appears on the “Golden Chain,” a list of alleged al-Qaeda funders that was confiscated by Bosnian authorities after raiding an al-Qaeda front group in 2002.

Green Berets have growing doubts of duties with skittish political leadership

They were the first troops to hit the ground in Afghanistan while al Qaeda's dirty work still smoldered back in the United States.

On foot, helicopter and horseback, Army Special Forces showed that if the U.S. was to win a long counterinsurgency war against Islamic extremists, the special skills of Green Berets would be fundamental.

Nearly 14 years later, these soldiers, some of the military's smartest and best trained, are still creating lots of headlines, but not necessarily for heroics.

In recent months, the Army has disciplined, admonished and ended the careers of a number of Green Berets for actions that the soldiers themselves believe were part of combating an evil enemy. Pristine standards for fighting the Taliban and al Qaeda are not achievable, some in the community say.

"There is certainly a belief that upper echelons of leadership have morphed into political positions, and leaders are a lot less willing to risk their own career to support their soldiers," Danny Quinn, a former Green Beret team leader and West Point graduate, told The Washington Times.
