The highly biased Northern version
of Andersonville POW prison is well known but the true facts are not. Commandant Capt. Wirz was arrested and his
trial before an unconstitutional post-war military tribunal included the
perjured testimony and lies of a Union soldier who had never been at
Andersonville . Most defense witnesses were not permitted
to testify. His trial was a farce and travesty of justice. He was falsely
convicted of murder and conspiracy with high ranking members of the Confederate
government to create the Andersonville conditions.
Andersonville was constructed
to house 10,000 Union POW's however numbers increased to as high as 45,000 due
to a policy by the Lincoln administration to discontinue
exchanges. POW's received the same rations and hospital treatment as CSA
guards. A request that Northern doctors and medicine be sent to treat
POW's and an effort to buy food distribution utensils was denied. Lincoln made medicine contraband causing suffering and death. Sherman 's barbaric war crimes stealing,burning, and destroying food in Georgia was also a major factor that contributed to the human disaster at Andersonville . Prior to the period of greatest mortality the CSA authorities offered to release the POW's without exchange.

The group of twenty who have decided to sue claim they have had to wait more than a week. Their “urgent application” has been confirmed by a court spokesman, Die Welt reports.
Twenty migrants have sued the Berlin State Office for Health and Social Affairs because they had to wait more than a week to register their asylum cases and receive welfare handouts. They are demanding instant payment.

The great danger of faking your ability to do something in the public square is that someone with an actual desire to the job you are pretending to do might come along and show you up.
This is what has just happened to the US in Syria with the entrance of Russia into the fight against ISIL.
And as is generally the case with posers caught with their pants down, the US policy elites are not happy about it.
You see, the US strategic goal in Syria is not as your faithful mainstream media servants (led by that redoubtable channeler of Neo-Con smokescreens at the NYT Michael Gordon) might have you believe to save the Syrian people from the ravages of the long-standing Assad dictatorship, but rather to heighten the level of internecine conflict in that country to the point where it will not be able to serve as a bulwark against Israeli regional hegemony for at least another generation.

As you may know from the media, the flood of refugees cum economic immigrants into Europe has reached ridiculous proportions and to the extent that Hungary and other Balkan states have closed their borders and Turkey is considering doing the same.
Angela Merkel in an ill advised speech to the Bunderstag, welcomed all refugees to Germany and the floodgates opened and, in my view, this was all pre-planned beginning with the Pope’s appeal last year for Islam to move closer to Christianity. This was then followed up via the Italian Goverment instructing the Italian Navy to rescue all boat refugees and bring them to Italy.
As a result, it seems that some 8000 people per day are now entering Europe via various routes. Most of these are young males between 17 and 25. The result is chaos as you can imagine.

The 'Gun Control' Farce: A Commentary By Thomas Sowell
President Obama's intrusion into the mourning community of Roseburg, Oregon, in order to promote his political crusade for stronger gun control laws, is part of a pattern of his using various other sites of shooting rampages in the past to promote this long-standing crusade of the political left.
The zealotry of gun control advocates might make some sense if they had any serious evidence that more restrictive gun control laws actually reduce gun crimes. But they seldom even discuss the issue in terms of empirical evidence.
Saving lives is serious business. But claiming to be saving lives and refusing to deal with evidence is a farce. Nor is the Second Amendment or the National Rifle Association the real issue, despite how much the media and the intelligentsia focus on them.

“I had the Confederate flag hanging from my truck [in the parking lot],” Rogers said, “and I was asked to remove it” by management on Tuesday.
The termination was apparently preceded by the original complaint on Friday, when Rogers’s supervisors brought the issue to him after receiving an “anonymous complaint” via telephone, according to Rogers.
Reaching no resolution that day, Rogers and his supervisors met again on Tuesday, and they presented the same ultimatum.
