Trump: "The press is dishonest, but the political press is especially dishonest.”

Via Billy

 trump press rush

Near the end of it a frustrated journalist (paraphrasing), “Mr. Trump, Mr. Trump, Mr. Trump, is it gonna be this way, are you gonna be attacking us after you become president?”

“Yes, it is. Because you are the most dishonest people, political press the most dishonest people I know. You know it and I know it. The press is dishonest, but the political press is especially dishonest.”

And then Jim Acosta, I think it was, CNN (paraphrasing), “Mr. Trump, Mr. Trump, do you object to scrutiny? You seem like you didn’t even like scrutiny, but you’re seeking the office of president of the United States, how do you think –”

“I don’t mind scrutiny. What I don’t like is lies. You can scrutinize me all day long but you set up false premises. You state things about me that are not true. Then you run stories on that. That’s why I’m out here trying to correct the record.”

And then Trump says, “By the way, I’ve seen you, you’re among the worst. You’re at ABC, right? You’re the worst. You’re a sleaze.” And I’m thinking the people at home watching this — (laughing) ’cause, folks, in the age of internet trolling, manners are out the window. It’s a waste of time asking for manners here. Because, remember, in a war the aggressor sets the rules and I’m guaranteeing you that Trump thinks the media are the aggressors here.

Sessions to GOP: Adapt to Trump or die

Via Billy

sessions2.jpg

Sen. Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III, Donald Trump’s friendly but fierce Alabama ally, has a message for Republicans still queasy about their party’s nominee: Tide’s about to roll over you.

Sessions, a 69-year-old former state attorney general who famously donned the “Make America Great Again” trucker’s cap at a massive rally in Mobile last August, thinks Trump is more a movement than a man. And this sprightly son of country preachers and teachers is on a mission to evangelize maybe-Trumpers like House Speaker Paul Ryan on the Gospel According to Donald — with a sermon on self-preservation.

Supreme Court slap down Obama 8-0 in wetlands fight

Via Billy

 hawkesworkers

Four years after the U.S. Supreme Court handed the Obama administration a huge defeat by allowing Americans to go to court to challenge “compliance orders” from federal agencies over the use of their own property, the justice have ruled that the courts are available to owners when agencies abruptly apply new confiscatory regulations to the use of the land.

The unanimous ruling against the Obama administration’s agenda came in a case between the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Hawkes Co. of Minnesota.

The corps had designated land belonging to the company as a “wetlands” and told the private landowners they had to comply with all the corps’ rules and regulations. And the Obama administration argued that the company wasn’t even permitted to go to court to challenge the bureaucratic nightmare the owners faced.

Polls Show Gary Johnson May Not Hurt Trump: Says Trump "racist!" :)

Initial polls indicate Libertarian Party nominee Gary Johnson would not significantly hurt Donald Trump in the general election because he draws votes from both major parties equally.

The former New Mexico governor was nominated again Sunday at the Libertarian Party convention in Orlando, after previously winning a little bit less than one percent of the popular vote in 2012. This time, Johnson is on the ticket with running mate Bill Weld, the former Republican governor of Massachusetts.

Politico is trumpeting Johnson as a vote-spoiler who could doom Trump against Hillary Clinton. Libertarian power brokers are excited about the chance to perhaps get 5 percent of the popular vote nationally and get the party on the ballot nationwide in future elections. A Johnson campaign source said that billionaire David Koch – who along with his brother is pulling money out of the pro-Republican cause in protest of Trump – will give money to Johnson, though Johnson publicly claimed to have no knowledge of such an arrangement.

“Do the math: Ten percent in the polls — that’s 90 percent in reverse, a landslide practically. It’s inevitable. Everybody who gets paid by the Kochs says so,” longtime Libertarian insider Tim Cavanaugh said mockingly on Facebook.

But Johnson appears to be drawing evenly from both Republicans and Democrats, and Trump is still winning independents even after Johnson takes his third-place share.

"Smedley Butler knew all this. A racket."

Comment above by Anonymous on Just A Common Soldier - A Soldier Died Today

 Re-post from NamSouth 2009 and FNC 2011/2012/2015X2

Here richly, with ridiculous display,
The Politician’s corpse was laid away.
While all of his acquaintances sneered and slanged, I wept:
For I had longed to see him hanged.

War is a Racket by Smedley Butler is a famous speech denouncing the military industrial complex. This speech by two-time Congressional Medal of Honor recipient exposes war profits that benefit few at the expense of many. Throughout his distinguished career in the Marines, Smedley Darlington Butler demonstrated that true patriotism does not mean blind allegiance to government policies with which one does not agree. To Hell with war.

*********

Smedley Darlington Butler (July 30, 1881June 21, 1940), nicknamed " The Fighting Quaker " and " Old Gimlet Eye ", was a Major General in the U.S. Marine Corps and, at the time of his death, the most decorated Marine in U.S. history

During his 34 years of Marine Corps service, Butler was awarded numerous medals for heroism including the Marine Corps Brevet Medal (the highest Marine medal at its time for officers), and subsequently the Medal of Honor twice. Notably, he is one of only 19 people to be twice awarded the Medal of Honor, and one of only three to be awarded a Marine Corps Brevet Medal and a Medal of Honor, and the only person to be awarded a Marine Corps Brevet Medal and a Medal of Honor for two different actions.

In addition to his military career, Smedley Butler was noted for his outspoken anti- interventionist views, and his book War is a Racket.

His book was one of the first works describing the workings of the military-industrial complex and after retiring from service, he became a popular speaker at meetings organized by veterans, pacifists and church groups in the 1930s.

Bernie Sanders and the Big Swedish Lie

Like so many other leftists, Bernie Sanders has embarked on the claim that America should become more European like and institute even more social welfare programs. As they always do, they hold up Sweden as some sort of shining example of how the modern socialist state should work.

The problems is, like with so many other leftist arguments, this one is superficial and shallow in its accounting of the historical realities behind modern Sweden. In short the argument is rife with the lies of omission.

In that period when the American colonists were just beginning their long struggle against King George III, Sweden was still under the domination of the usual types of self-entitled nobility and oppressive trade guilds that had been the social model since the middle ages. Most of the population lived in the poverty of a feudal economic system. They were quite simply serfs.

By the beginning of the 19th century the same type of enlightened classical liberalism that had inspired the American Revolution began to take root in Sweden.

In my forthcoming (July 18) book, The Problem with Socialism, I describe how socialism is always and everywhere an economic poison regardless of the form of government.  Socialism is socialism.

As Frederic Bastiat explained in his classic, The Law, the imposition of one social “plan” or set of “plans” on all of the society – a defining characteristic of all varieties of socialism — will have the same effects whether it is instituted by democracy or by a dictatorship.  Obamacare is Obamacare regardless of whether it was imposed by democracy or by a dictator.

From Germany: Open letter translated from PI News:

Via David  "Europe's going to blow.  Here is a woman, in her 50's, a Green Party member her whole life... now dedicated to the AfD (Alternative for Deutschland) Party.  All over Germany and other Western European countries the backlash is building against their leaders.

I see their leaders grim-faced, set on flooding Europe with Muslims who, according to one poll I just read about, are over 40% fundamentalists.  It's like they're robots, automatons set on a specific goal heedless of anything else.

The crime statistics are plain and stark, available for all to see.  Everyone KNOWS what's happening.  And European society is splitting between two very different peoples:

1. Those who have awoken to the fact that their leaders are betraying them.

2. Those who say their utter cultural dilution and destruction are a good thing.  As one German Parlimentarian said recently.

And here in the US, Barackus is accelerating the influx of Muslims.  In Rutland, Vermont the Mayor was in secret talks to bring in 100 of them, only revealing it to the people who elected him when it was a fait accompli.  From the international stage to the local, leaders are placing the interests of other nationals above those they were elected to represent.

And in the US the GOPe would rather see Hellary elected to preserve their power, even if only for another decade while they too loot the public treasury and plan their bolt-holes, while Hellary stacks the SCOTUS and opens the floodgates to even more illegals.

Hellary's 100 day plan includes executive orders to functionally eliminate the border to Mexico and to open the valve wide to moreMuslims.  And please note - I am married to a Muslim, a TRUE moderate (they do exist) who is SCARED when she sees women in burkhas - because she has personal experience with the mindset.  (But, in true liberal fashion, her personal and first-hand experience is dismissed by those who "know better".)

Something is loose in the world.  Something horrific.  And I fear for my country and my children."

Inner Immigration

(Résumé of a German woman)

I am almost 50 years old, I have a University degree, and was – out of love for nature – always a trusted voter for the Green Party. I never felt much interest for politics. In Germany everything seemed to always go its natural regular course. I had trusted our parliamentary democracy, I thought our administration would hardly make mistakes, because it is controlled by the opposition. Never, absolutely never did I think that I would lose all my trust in the State. It’s unbearable that I am afraid of the future. Preferably I’d just like to leave. But I feel to old to leave Europe.

What country would even take me anymore? I am not a shameless African that just seats himself in a refugee boat. I would properly apply to the respective immigration authority. But my chances are close to zero. I am – like most Europeans – damned to impotence as I see this invasion happen.

When, about ten years ago, a friend of mine emigrated to Australia, I felt sorry for her. How could one leave our beautiful Europe? A continent with such wonderful nature and culture. I would’ve never even thought of this. Today I know: She did the right thing.

'The Confederate flag is the N-word on a pole': Memorial Day activist presses multi-state banner burns

Sims is the idiot who had the exhibit "The Proper Way To Hang A Confederate Flag" at Gettysburg.

So much for graveyard visits to honor America’s war dead, or even summery barbecues in the backyard – an activist from Florida has what he thinks is a better way to recognize the solemn occasion known as Memorial Day: burn flags.

John Sims from southern Florida is leading up a nationwide effort to change Memorial Day into Confederate flag-burning day, Think Progress reported. Just a few weeks ago, he organized 13 separate flag-burning events in the 13 states formerly known as the Confederacy, telling the International Business Times in the process that “the Confederate flag is the N-word on a pole.”

"Thus we find in our conclusion that there is no general welfare clause in the Constitution;

joseph story

that the power of Congress to legislate for every object which in their opinion might be for the benefit of the people, pressed by Mr. Hamilton in the Convention, was six times, directly or indirectly, rejected by that body; and, in spite of that, his followers have sought to construe these words as meaning what the authors of the Constitution had six times successively rejected; while Judge Story’s construction lands us in the same morass, a government of unlimited power, though he reaches it by a different road.

These facts show that a large majority of the Committee of Eleven that reported these words to be incorporated into the first clause of §8 Art. I were strongly opposed to the views of Mr. Hamilton and those of Judge Story that lead to the same end, tho’ by different routes, a government of unlimited powers!"

**************************************************

This speech was delivered before the annual meeting of the Georgia Bar Association at Tybee Island on June 2, 3, and 4, 1927.

Mr. PRESIDENT and gentlemen of the Georgia Bar Association: I make no apology for presenting to you today as the subject of my address a technical and abstruse question, be cause it involves the foundation stone of our form of Government.

The subject to which I invite your attention may be put in this form, “Judge Story’s position on the so-called General Welfare Clause of the Constitution of the United States.”

The words “the general welfare” are to be found in two places in the Constitution—in the preamble thereto and in Article 1, section 8, clause 1. All reputable writers concur in the statement that the words of the preamble to the Constitution constitute no grants of power, and therefore our investigation is confined to the words as found in Article 1, section 8, clause 1. which reads,
“The Congress shall have power lo lay and collect taxes, duties, imposts and excises, to pay the debts and provide for the common defense and general welfare of the United States but all duties, imposts, and excises shall be uniform throughout the United States.”

Crime scene declared after looting at Petersburg battlefield

Via Billy

http://media.nbcwashington.com/images/652*367/AP_04011306914.jpg

Chief of interpretation Chris Bryce said Saturday that park officials are in the process of assessing the damage. He said there were a number of places where the ground had been dug up earlier this week.
Petersburg National Battlefield is a 2,700-acre park, about 26 miles south of Richmond, that marks where more than 1,000 Union and Confederate soldiers died fighting during the Siege of Petersburg 151 years ago.

There are a number of locations on the battlefield where someone has gone in and actually dug and upturned the soil by several inches, Bryce said.

Unfortunately, he said, people will sometimes go into national parks or to battlefields and dig up relics in search of buttons from uniforms, bullets, artillery shells and other historic items. They often sell their loot online because there is a market for Civil War relics.

"When this happens, it's not just a loss for Petersburg National Battlefield, it's a loss for the American people," he said. The timing of the looting could not have been worse, he said, because it comes right before Memorial Day. "And now we're having to deal with a situation where someone has essentially come in and has desecrated the park on the eve of a very important weekend for us in terms of commemoration."

A first look at America’s supergun

Via Billy

http://pbs.twimg.com/media/CjecYH8W0AEATaI.jpg
http://americandigest.org/sidelines/aarailgun.jpg

DAHLGREN, Va.—A warning siren bellowed through the concrete bunker of a top-secret Naval facility where U.S. military engineers prepared to demonstrate a weapon for which there is little defense.

Officials huddled at a video screen for a first look at a deadly new supergun that can fire a 25-pound projectile through seven steel plates and leave a 5-inch hole.

The weapon is called a railgun and requires neither gunpowder nor explosive. It is powered by electromagnetic rails that accelerate a hardened projectile to staggering velocity—a battlefield meteorite with the power to one day transform military strategy, say supporters, and keep the U.S. ahead of advancing Russian and Chinese weaponry.

In conventional guns, a bullet begins losing acceleration moments after the gunpowder ignites. The railgun projectile gains more speed as it travels the length of a 32-foot barrel, exiting the muzzle at 4,500 miles an hour, or more than a mile a second.

“This is going to change the way we fight,” said U.S. Navy Adm. Mat Winter, the head of the Office of Naval Research.

For the Memorial Day weekend, volunteers spent hours at the Hampton National Cemetery meticulously placing American flags on the graves of U.S. military veterans.

On an adjacent plot in the cemetery, 272 Confederate graves went unmarked.

Under the guidelines of the National Cemetery Administration in Washington, D.C., no sanctioned cemeteries may place Confederate flags on grave sites. On one day each year — Memorial Day — outside organizations can volunteer to do that.

"If an organization chooses to do that, they can do it," said Janice Hill, director of the cemetery in Hampton. "We don't provide the flags. They have to provide them, and they have to take them down when Memorial Day is done. I have not had anyone contact me in the five years I've been here." Local SCV Camp, what's the problem?

Memorials to veterans in a Los Angeles neighborhood and a town in Kentucky, as well as a Civil War veterans cemetery in Virginia, were damaged as the nation prepares to mark Memorial Day, officials said.

A Vietnam War memorial in the Venice area of Los Angeles has been extensively defaced by graffiti. The vandalism occurred sometime during the past week, KCAL/KCBS-TV (http://cbsloc.al/1RAa3mg) reported. The homespun memorial painted on a block-long wall on Pacific Avenue lists the names of American service members missing in action or otherwise unaccounted for in Southeast Asia.

News of the vandalism came as another veterans-related memorial was reported damaged in Henderson, Kentucky. Police say a Memorial Day cross display there that honors the names of 5,000 veterans of conflicts dating back to the Revolutionary War has been damaged by a driver who plowed through the crosses early Saturday.

In Virginia, the Petersburg National Battlefield has apparently has been looted, the National Park Service said. Numerous excavations were found at the Civil War battlefield last week, Jeffrey Olson, and agency spokesman, said in a news release Friday. Petersburg National Battlefield is a 2,700-acre park marks where more than 1,000 Union and Confederate soldiers died fighting during the Siege of Petersburg 151 years ago.

NWO Mouthpieces Call To Overthrow The Dying White Majority

Via comment by Quartermain on The Revolutionary Communist Party, USA Printed Fer

Welcome to the BS Club hosted by The United Kingdom’s New World Order backed propaganda machine... The Guardian. Apparently, The Guardian didn’t have any problem rolling out the following baseless drivel to its readers/youtube viewers. Of course, Commenting on the U.S. Presidential election whilst ignoring the massive problems in your own country is a sketchy undertaking to begin with.

But when your publication is run by an elitist NWO lackey like Dame Liz Forgan, the Dame being her high masonic title allowing Forgan to rub elbows with royalty, media oligarchs and The Lord Rothschild, you do as expected.

Here is what the Telegraph had to say about Dame Liz in 2013 before she became the Chair of Scott Trust Limited, the British Company that owns the Guardian Media Group. The Telegraph writes "Why not spend £8,000 on a leaving do (A party held when leaving a job)? That’s what Dame Liz and her caste are entitled to. That’s what the little people are there to pay for. There could be no clearer demonstration of the contempt that Dame Liz, who exudes the haughty sense of self-worth and entitlement that typifies the arts establishment, has for the rest of us that she chose a drinks party funded by the taxpayer to attack the Government for cutting the arts budget. Contempt and a jaw-dropping lack of self-awareness."

So without further ado, here is The Guardian’s Steven Thrasher looking forward to the day when America’s “dying white majority” is overthrown and a political revolution led by people of color ends the “white supremacist” system currently represented by Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.

Notice how Thrasher’s only evidence of Trump’s bigotry is anti-Trump protesters?Completely ignoring that Europe and now the United States are quietly being invaded by Sharia Law Zealots hell bent on throwing people of Thrasher’s persuasion off of rooftops.

Not to be outdone in the threat laced propaganda lecturing is Jonathan Freedland.

Freedland, your smug elitist arrogance and weak threats are just as bad as your flaccid declaration of anti-americanism. Your sycophantic jabbering makes me wonder when you are due back in The City Of London for your umpteenth micro chipping.

And here is Gary Younge to lecture us on our Democracy in Crisis. Claiming we are blaming the refugees soley for the soft invasion of Europe and the United States. An invasion engineered by the very globalists we at Infowars investigate on a daily basis.

Anytime Steven Thrasher, Jonathan Freedland, Gary Younge and Dame Forgan for that matter want to have a debate over their claims. Myself and a few other info warriors would be happy to educate you on the glaring reality staring you square in the face.

Slavery In The North

Via Dick

 http://americanhistoryrules.com/divisionandreunion/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/slavery-13colonies-map.jpg
Repost

African slavery is so much the outstanding feature of the South, in the unthinking view of it, that people often forget there had been slaves in all the old colonies. Slaves were auctioned openly in the Market House of Philadelphia; in the shadow of Congregational churches in Rhode Island; in Boston taverns and warehouses; and weekly, sometimes daily, in Merchant's Coffee House of New York. Such Northern heroes of the American Revolution as John Hancock and Benjamin Franklin bought, sold, and owned black people. William Henry Seward, Lincoln's anti-slavery Secretary of State during the Civil War, born in 1801, grew up in Orange County, New York, in a slave-owning family and amid neighbors who owned slaves if they could afford them. The family of Abraham Lincoln himself, when it lived in Pennsylvania in colonial times, owned slaves.[1]

When the minutemen marched off to face the redcoats at Lexington in 1775, the wives, boys and old men they left behind in Framingham took up axes, clubs, and pitchforks and barred themselves in their homes because of a widespread, and widely credited, rumor that the local slaves planned to rise up and massacre the white inhabitants while the militia was away.[2]

African bondage in the colonies north of the Mason-Dixon Line has left a legacy in the economics of modern America and in the racial attitudes of the U.S. working class. Yet comparatively little is written about the 200-year history of Northern slavery. Robert Steinfeld's deservedly praised "The Invention of Free Labor" (1991) states, "By 1804 slavery had been abolished throughout New England," ignoring the 1800 census, which shows 1,488 slaves in New England. Recent archaeological discoveries of slave quarters or cemeteries in Philadelphia and New York City sometimes are written up in newspaper headlines as though they were exhibits of evidence in a case not yet settled (cf. African Burial Ground Proves Northern Slavery, The City Sun, Feb. 24, 1993).

I had written one book on Pennsylvania history and was starting a second before I learned that William Penn had been a slaveowner. The historian Joanne Pope Melish, who has written a perceptive book on race relations in ante-bellum New England, recalls how it was possible to read American history textbooks at the high school level and never know that there was such a thing as a slave north of the Mason-Dixon Line:

A Fine Day for Honoring Heroes In Danville

Early morning, Saturday, May 21st brought heavy rain to Southside Virginia, that tapered off just prior to the 10:00 a.m. scheduled start time for flagging at the Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History on the grounds of the Sutherlin Mansion, the home that served as the Last Capitol of the Confederacy.

The sun was shining by 11:00 a.m., when 54 folks had gathered on the sidewalk in front of the museum.  So many, in fact, that we were able to spread out and cover both sides of Main Street!

‘Hatchet to liberty’: New senate bill expands FBI’s warrantless surveillance powers

The Senate Intelligence Committee has overwhelmingly voted for a new – as yet secret – bill that would allow security agencies to examine a wider range of private data without obtaining a search warrant from a court. One senator has expressed outrage.
“This bill takes a hatchet to important protections for Americans’ liberty. This bill would mean more government surveillance of Americans, less due process and less independent oversight of US intelligence agencies,” wrote Oregon Democrat Ron Wyden on his personal website after being defeated in a 14 to 1 vote by the 2017 Intelligence Authorization Act committee this week. The legislation is now headed for a full Senate vote.

“Worse, neither the intelligence agencies, nor the bill’s sponsors have shown any evidence that these changes would do anything to make Americans more secure. I plan to work with colleagues in both chambers to reverse these dangerous provisions.”

Memorial Day

  http://www.elkharttruth.com/image/2016/05/10/800x_b0_z/Confederate-Memorial-Day.jpg

Monday is Memorial Day holiday in the United States when the country honors its fallen soldiers and veterans. Oddly enough, this began in the South, in May 1865 when the ladies in Columbus (some say Georgia, some Mississippi) went to decorate Southern soldiers' graves. Since they were gracious Southern ladies, they honored both their own dead and Northern dead. They understood that death ends all hostilities.

In memory of those brave Southerners who fought a Second War for Independence, I will tell y'all the story of the Army of Tennessee's retreat from the Battle of Nashville. General Bedford Forrest was charged with covering the retreat, in bitter December. When he took command, he saw that his shoeless men had bleeding feet, cut by the ice on the puddles. Out of the chaos he commandeered wagons, and put these brave soldiers in them. When they came to a place where they had to stand and fight, they rolled out of the wagons and fought like furies on bleeding feet, then remounted the wagons and rode to the next stand.

If you come South and notice on every county's courthouse lawn a statue of a Confederate soldier, that's why. In their honor in Greensboro, Georgia stands this monument: "In honor of the brave who fell defending the right of local self-government."

Obama's transgender 'obsession' is 'literally insane': Experts, family groups react to mandate for open bathrooms in schools

“Literally insane.”

“No basis in law or logic.”

“Partners in child abuse.”

“Completely ridiculous.”

“Unconstitutional mandate.”

“Political goal.”

No wonder the Obama administration announced its new transgender mandate for school bathrooms across the country heading into a Friday, the traditional day for “information dumps” whereby government, hoping people are focused on the weekend, won’t really pay attention.

Or perhaps they, themselves, wanted a couple of days to disconnect from the Internet before they’d have to confront, on Monday, the massive onslaught their latest work has wrought.

How the Cult of the Kid Is Making America Not Great

Via comment by Quartermain on Trump’s Decision to Debate Sanders in California i..

  shutterstock_95571682

There were likely no kids on board EgyptAir Flight 804 that crashed into the Mediterranean Sea, on May 19. Had there been kids on board, we’d be hearing about it a LOT.

Of the 224 people on board the Russian metro jet airbus—it crashed in March—17 were children. I know this because each time TV anchors reported about the plane that went down in the Sinai desert, near El Arish (once way safer because under Israeli control); they counted the kids.

Is the death of a child more of a loss than the death of an adult? Apparently so. Adult lives matter less.

The hallmark of an infantile even immoral society is the deification of The Child. Not for nothing did the Communist slave societies place kids in control of their parents. This is how one inverts the moral order, also the aim of Communism’s leaders.

Trump’s Decision to Debate Sanders in California is His Most Genius Move Yet

Via comment by Quartermain on Trump protesters drive up Trump's popularity

Screen Shot 2016-05-26 at 2.01.08 PM

Here, a Clinton match-up is highly likely to be an unmitigated electoral disaster, whereas a Sanders candidacy stands a far better chance. Every one of Clinton’s (considerable) weaknesses plays to every one of Trump’s strengths, whereas every one of Trump’s (few) weaknesses plays to every one of Sanders’s strengths. From a purely pragmatic standpoint, running Clinton against Trump is a disastrous, suicidal proposition.
– From the February article: Why Hillary Clinton Cannot Beat Donald Trump

If the Trump/Sanders debate proceeds as planned in California, you’re about to witness one of the most important moments of a 2016 general election that hasn’t even begun yet. To say such a debate would be an unmitigated disaster for Hillary Clinton would be the understatement of the century. Let’s explore why.

First of all, Hillary Clinton outright rejected a debate request from Bernie Sanders ahead of the June 7th California primary. Given Sanders’ recent momentum, as well as her need to persuade a significant number of his supporters to back her in November; such a denial was not only arrogant, it was highly insulting to voters in America’s largest state. From team Clinton’s perspective there was little upside to agreeing to a debate, versus easily manageable downside from a few days of negative media coverage. Or so they thought…

The above strategic thought process would’ve worked in almost every other election season and against any other candidate. Unfortunately for her, it doesn’t work in 2016, and it certainly doesn’t work against Donald Trump.

Syrian man with 3 wives and 20 kids to get 214,000 in child benefits
Syrian refugee, Daham Al Hasan (47), who has fled to Denmark, has 3 wives and 20 children, and he expects the State to pay for them as he cannot work, according to himself.

And it will cost Denmark a lot. Only in child support it is expected that he will get DKK 214,000 ($32,120) annually.

So far he has received approval to get one of his wives and 17 of his children to Denmark, after he arrived alone. 3 of his children are too old to get approved for (automatic) family reunification.

Daham Al Hasan says that he can not work or learn Danish at the moment because of psychological problems due to missing his children.

New Jersey (Where else?) Denies Concealed Carry Permit to Lieutenant Colonel with Top Secret Clearance

 Lt. Col.
The state of New Jersey has denied a concealed carry permit to a Lieutenant Colonel who holds a Top Secret clearance and works at a U.S. Army arsenal that was recently the target of a terrorist attack.

Lt. Col. Terry S. Russell of the United States Army applied for a concealed carry permit almost one year ago, according to the National Review. He was denied by Oceanport Police Chief Daniel W. Barcus because he failed to show “justifiable need,” despite the fact that, as Russell explained in his application'
