Portland College Reaps Angry Feedback After Launching ‘Hating Whitey’ Month

April will be “Whiteness History Month” at a community college in Portland, Oregon, where faculty and staff wanted to come up with a new way to teach about race and racism.

Unlike Black History Month, which is observed nationally, the project at Portland Community College “is not a celebratory endeavor,” according to the school’s website.

Rather, “it is an effort to change our campus climate” in a way that critically examines white privilege and racial power structures.

PCC faced backlash on Monday from conservative critics who derided the program as “whiteness shaming” and complained that it was a sign of pressure to be politically correct.

German war graves are being desecrated on TV

Military historian Robin Schäfer explains why he and thousands of German families are horrified by a British TV show promoting the looting of German war graves - exactly as happened to his own great-uncle's remains.
 

In March 1942 my great grandparents were informed that their eldest son, Heinrich, had been killed in action during a patrol operation in the area of Krasnaya-Ghorka, in the swamps and pine forests south of Leningrad in Russia. He was the first of their three sons they would lose during the war, the other two were killed in action in 1944 and 1945.

They were told that Heinrich had been buried on a divisional burial ground in a place known as Glubotschka, 12 kilometres south-west of Tosno. For my great grandparents these names were just as alien and difficult to place as they were for me, when I started researching Heinrich’s military career in 2006.

My page on Facebook is 88,000 fans strong and I’ve built a great community, but the truth is I have zero confidence that Facebook is going to uphold its promise to make it a free and open social environment. In fact, I’ve been temporarily banned from Facebook not once, not twice, but three times. Each time the ban gets longer. And each time the threat of completely banning my account becomes more harshly worded.

Why was I banned? Well, the first time was over a link to a story that merely disagreed with a Huffington Post story about abortion. The ban was so ridiculous and outrageous that a Facebook employee I know apologized and helped get it reversed. And through that process it was admitted that someone manually “made a mistake” in blocking my account over the link shared.

Conservative authors are banding together to publish a manifesto Friday denouncing the ideas of Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump.

Leading conservatives including Erick Erickson, William Kristol and Yuval Levin have written essays for a special issue of National Review to be published Friday, The New York Times reports.

“Donald Trump is a menace to American conservatism who would take the work of generations and trample it underfoot on behalf of a populism as heedless and crude as The Donald himself,” reads an editorial accompanying the essays in the issue, according to the newspaper.

Former Pearson Exec Reveals Anti-American Agenda in Common Core

A former marketing executive for textbook publishing giant Pearson Education reveals the anti-American agenda behind Common Core and the Advanced Placement U.S. History framework in the third video of a series produced by Project Veritas and focused on the corporate cronyism behind the education reform known as Common Core.

Kim Koerber, a former Pearson executive who now works as a sales consultant for National Geographic – another Gates Foundation-funded Common Core publisher – tells the Project Veritas undercover journalist that “conservative voters are afraid of everything,” and proceeds to say why Common Core is important in her view.

She explains that those behind Common Core and the new AP U.S. History framework have attempted to minimize the Constitution and remove Christianity from the core concepts, while they also stress the importance of teaching about Islam:

VIDEO: Federal Employees Brag About Swindling WWII Vets Off Their Land

Federal employees revel in the fact that they swindle land from private property owners at pennies on the dollar, in astonishing admissions captured in a recently released video.

“We went out to the mine and the owners were two little guys that had been in the Second World War,” a California park service employee recalls at a retirement celebration for Mojave National Preserve Superintendent Mary Martin in 2005.

The employee brags about how the veterans’ mine was appraised by the federal government at $40 million, and acquired for a paltry $2.5 million.

“We did get it appraised and we did acquire it for $2.5 million which I stole the money from Washington to acquire it,” the employee in the video admits, adding that it’s sometimes hard to bamboozle property owners due to the agency’s reputation.

“’Lands’ isn’t always supported because we’re the ‘bad guys.’ We come in, and we take this land. And we always take it for less than it’s worth.”

NC: Professor requires students write 8-page ‘commitment to social justice’

A teacher at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro requires students in her class to write an 8-page commitment to social justice — pupils who take her class because it’s a required course to earn a K-12 teaching credential.

An assignment in instructor Revital Zilonka’s “Institution of Education” class tells future North Carolina teachers that “by the end of the semester, you are required to write your own personal/professional commitment to social justice,” the syllabus states.

The class mandates a list of feminist and Marxist readings, and students’ “commitment” is expected to be up to eight pages long and delve into how they plan to advance social justice “given the new understanding you have by now about society and education,” the syllabus adds.
