Federal Court Rules You Can Be Arrested Simply For Filming The Police

A federal court in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania has ruled that filming the police without a specific challenge or criticism is not constitutionally protected.

The cases of Fields v. City of Philadelphia, and Geraci v. City of Philadelphia involve two different incidents where individuals were arrested for filming the police. Richard Fields, a Temple University student, was arrested after stopping to take a picture of a large group of police outside a house party.

Amanda Geraci, a legal observer with CopWatch Berkeley, attended a large protest against fracking in September 2012 and was arrested while filming the arrest of another protester.

Three black students claimed they were attacked on a city bus by several white students. Security footage showed that the incident actually occurred in the opposite manner that the students initially claimed.

Standing up for freedom isn’t hate

When did standing up for basic human rights become hate speech? The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) can’t seem to tell the difference any more. It was once a premier civil rights organization instrumental in taking down the Ku Klux Klan. Now it attacks those who profess unpopular or politically incorrect opinions. The latest target is the Center for Security Policy (CSP) for our work exposing and opposing Islamist groups. For this they are adding us to their annual list of “hate groups”.

CSP stands for freedom and liberty against a collection of groups that really do “hate”.

Opponents of an effort to remove Confederate monuments in New Orleans have launched a campaign to discourage construction firms from bidding on the project.

Save Our Circle, a group set up to fight the removals, is encouraging its nearly 10,000 Facebook members to reach out to any companies that might bid and let them know that their participation would not be appreciated.

Mississippi governor declares April 'Confederate Heritage Month'

Via Billy

Gov. Phil Bryant spoke at the groundbreaking of Mississippi's new Civil Rights Museum next to the state flag containing the Confederate battle symbol. Myrlie Evers-Williams, the widow of slain Jackson civil-rights hero Medgar Evers, is visible below the flow.

Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant has signed a proclamation declaring the month of April "Confederate Heritage Month" in his state. The signing was first reported by the Jackson Free Press.

The proclamation does not appear on the State of Mississippi's website, the alternative weekly reports, with other proclamations, such as those about emergency inclement weather, but is posted on the website of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, which is against changing the Mississippi flag to remove the Confederate battle flag.

Clay Chandler, director of communications for Gov. Bryant, confirmed that the proclamation had been issued.

Coming To Our Republic? The Chekist: VOTE FOR HILLARY!

Via WRSA

At the dawn of the Bolshevik Revolution, newly formed ranks of secret police, the Cheka, exterminate "enemies" of the new regime: Christians, aristocrats, Jews, intellectuals. Andrey (Igor Sergeyev) is the head of the lethal group, and he coldly condemns a daily influx of prisoners to anonymous death. As the corpses pile up, killing becomes his business, and life on the firing squad is just another job. But, as Andrey's conscience chips slowly away at his resolve, he descends into madness.

Malheur did not end with Oregon. People talk, and the ones you need to be concerned about, learned, adapted and began making phone calls. Ferguson and Baltimore were not the right optics, the offended parties would have collectively burnt down more property than they did and it would have endangered the voting bloc incumbent progressives had relied on for the better part of five decades.

The DOJ would have demanded answers, the Obama administration would have opposed it, because the current ruling regime, like any oppressive government, is at the whim of the mob’s opinion. A lesson can be learned here somewhere about picking the right time, right place, but let’s not get carried away with the knowledge. Perhaps we should consider why those in power think we are the appropriate avenue to further their oppressive agenda and not Black Lives Matter?

Butcher going to prison - sold pork to Muslims for years
Should be awarded a gold star.

A butcher from the Swiss city of Zurich has been sentenced to six months in prison and a fine of 18,000 Swiss francs for having misled his Muslim customers.

For three years the butcher sold 3.1 tons of pork but informed his Muslim customers that it was halal slaughtered veal.

Food inspectors discovered the fraud during a regular check.
