Turkish Coup Attempt Loses Momentum: Erdogan Is Back In Istanbul After Turks Take To The Streets, Clash With Army

Via Terry "Coup fails. Bad news."

Update 24: After emerging from the Istanbul airport, Erdogan is now holding a press conference.
  • ERDOGAN: COUP ATTEMPT A 'BLESSING' AS MILITARY TO BE CLEANSED
  • ERDOGAN: THE BEHAVIOR OF 'NEW TURKEY' WILL BE VERY DIFFERENT
  • Erdogan says traitors in military are taking orders from Pennsylvania, where opposition leader Gulen is based
Erdogan has accusing his old nemesis, the cleric Fethullah Gulen who lives in Pennsylvania, of orchestrating  the coup, even though moments ago Gulen’s Alliance for Shared Values condemned the coup attempt. “We condemn any military intervention in domestic politics of Turkey,” Alliance for Shared Values, group backed by preacher Fethullah Gulen, says in statement on its website.
* * *
That doesn't matter to Erdogan however, who continues with the well-known narrative. As a result, many have suggested that this poorly planned coup was in fact created by Erdogan himself to bolster his popularity and his international political image, and so now armed with the sympathy vote he will actively push to conclude Turkey's conversion from a parliamentary regime to a presidential one. As such the coup was nothing more than a carefully staged prop, one which saw virtually nobody hurt, nobody arrested, and practically zero actual involvement by the "army."

It remains to be seen if this is true.

America’s Sick of Barrack Hussein Obama’s Racial Dog-Whistles

Just you wait. In the fullness of time, Donald J. Trump will be blamed for “creating the atmosphere” that led to the Texas cop massacre of July 7.

However, at least by the same standards applied to Mr. Trump, Barrack Hussein Obama should be fingered for encouraging Micah Xavier Johnson to “shoot a dozen Dallas police officers, killing five.”

Is it unreasonable to conclude that the not-so-subaudible dog-whistle emitted by Obama, a day prior, must have reached mass murderer Johnson and might have spurred his actions?

Issued from Poland, of all places, Obama had lamented the recent “police shooting deaths of two black men in Louisiana and Minnesota,” saying that these “should trouble all Americans,” as they “reflect deep-seated racial disparities in the U.S. criminal justice system.”

Conveniently, on July 9, Obama was quick to issue a different ruling: “We cannot let the actions of a few define all of us,” he declared, post Dallas. As his objective, Dallas shooter Micah Xavier Johnson stated “he wanted to kill white people, especially white officers.” Yet the disjunction promoted by this dreadful cur of a president has been that white-on-black criminal acts are indicative of root-and-branch racism; not the obverse.

Collective guilt for thee, but not for me.

The Reasons Why The Globalists Are Destined To Lose

Via comment by Quartermain on Royce Mann, Age 14, "White Boy Privilege", Slam Po...

 https://nebraskaenergyobserver.files.wordpress.com/2016/07/quiblepenglobalism.jpg

Under the surface of almost every sociopolitical and economic event in the world there burns an ever-raging, but often unseen, war. This war, for now, is fought with fiction and with truth, with journalistic combat and with quiet individual deeds. It is defined by two sides which could not be more philosophically or spiritually separate.

On one side is a pervasive network of corporate moguls and elites, banking entities, international financial consortiums, think tanks and political puppets. They work tirelessly to reshape public psychology and society as a whole into something they sometimes call the “New World Order;” a completely and scientifically centralized planet in which they control every aspect of government, trade, life and even moral compass. I often refer to them simply as the “Globalists,” which is how they at times refer to themselves.

On the other side is a movement that has developed organically and instinctively, growing without direct top-down “leadership,” but still guided through example by various teachers and activists, driven by a concrete set of principles based in natural law. It is composed of the religious, the agnostic and even some atheists.  It is soldiered by people of all ethnic and financial backgrounds. These groups are tied together by a singular and resounding belief in the one vital thing they can all agree upon — the inherent and inborn rights of freedom. I call them the “Liberty Movement.”

President al-Assad’s interview with NBC News

Via Nancy

Explaining why American foreign policy is a total failure. It's about lying.

Damascus, SANA, President Bashar al-Assad gave an interview to NBC News published Thursday, following is the full text:

Journalist: Mr. President, thank you for having us and allowing NBC News to ask you some important questions.

President Assad: You’re most welcome in Damascus.

Question 1: A few weeks ago, you told lawmakers here that you would retake every inch of Syria.

The U.S. State Department called that “delusional.” You’re a long way from winning this war, aren’t you? Never mind retaking every inch of Syria.

President Assad: Actually, the Syrian Army has made a lot of advancement recently, and that is the goal of any army or any government. I don’t think the statement for the United States is relevant. It doesn’t reflect any respect to the international law, to the Charter of the United Nations. It doesn’t reflect respect of the sovereignty of a country that it had the right to take control of its full land.
Question 2: But how long do you think this will take you to win this war?

France Attack Bataclan

HEAT STREET EXCLUSIVEA French government committee has heard testimony, suppressed by the French government at the time and not released to the media, that the killers in the Bataclan tortured their victims on the second floor of the club.

Police witnesses in Parliament said they vomited when they saw the disfigured bodies.

Wahhabist killers apparently gouged out eyes, castrated victims, and shoved their testicles in their mouths. They may also have disemboweled some poor souls. Women were stabbed in the genitals – and all the torture was, victims told police, filmed for Daesh or Islamic State propaganda. For that reason, medics did not release the bodies of torture victims to the families, investigators said.

Clinton to Resettle One Million Muslim Migrants During First Term Alone

Via John
Syrian Refugees Darko Vojinovic AP

If elected president, Hillary Clinton could permanently resettle close to one million Muslim migrants during the first term of her presidency alone, according to the latest available data from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Between 2001 and 2013, the U.S. permanently resettled 1.5 million Muslim migrants on green cards. However, under Hillary Clinton’s stated proposals, Muslim immigration would grow substantially faster, adding nearly one million Muslim migrants to the U.S. during her first term alone.

Based on the most recent available DHS data, the U.S. permanently resettled roughly 149,000 migrants from predominantly Muslim countries on green cards in 2014. Yet Clinton has said that, as President, she would expand Muslim migration by importing an additional 65,000 Syrian refugees into the United States during the course of a single fiscal year. Clinton has made no indication that she would limit her proposed Syrian refugee program to one year.

What Is The Trigger Point? How Much More Will People Take?

Via comment by JWMJR on The Religion of Peace: Gun and truck ISIS terror a...

What will it take? Just how much more are we supposed to withstand before we demand that our government finally respond to acts of war with our own acts of war?

Will our politicians remain so recalcitrant that the the people will be forced to act in our own defense? It's not the politicians and the social and banking elite who are the targets of these 7th century barbarians, it's the regular people who depend on government to protect them from just such events.

What do we have to do to get government to act in our best interest against people who want nothing more than to kill as many of us as possible and are willing to die themselves in order to accomplish their evil goals? Do we have to march in the streets demanding action? Do we have to bring our city centers to a halt and not relent until they act? Or will we have to take the initiative against the enemy ourselves? Do we have to make our own threats? Must we resort to our own violent reactions before government acts?

Musings of a Southern Antifederalist on the Presidential Election

 morning on the french broad

The one consolation of the Antifederalist persuasion is telling everyone you meet “I told you so.”

Granted, this does not go down well in most circles, be they progressive, socialist, conservative, neo-conservative, constitutionalist, et al.  At best, some of these folk will agree that the Antifederalists were correct about the consolidation of power in the federal government, the excesses of a law making federal judiciary, and the eclipse of the states as political societies. They would also add a hearty, “Thank God” for all of these trends. These folks are also quick to remind me that my people have been beaten down horse, foot, and dragoons.  The polite thing, I suppose, would be to keep silence about the emperor’s clothes, or lack thereof.  To do so, however, means to ignore the real and present danger facing us.

This danger has been with us before the ink dried on the Constitution.

Freedom and Obligation–2016 Commencement Address: Clarence Thomas

Via Sister Anne

 https://imprimis.hillsdale.edu/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/Justice-Thomas-at-Commencement.jpg

President Arnn, members of the board of trustees, assembled faculty, families and friends, and, most important, members of the Hillsdale College Class of 2016, I am both honored and grateful to participate in these commencement exercises. It has been some years since my wife Virginia and I have been to Hillsdale together. Of course we have known Dr. and Mrs. Arnn for many, many years, and we have been quite close to Hillsdale throughout his tenure. We admire the work that is being done here to educate young men and women—one of whom, Hillsdale graduate David Morrell, a wonderful young man, served as one of my law clerks a few years back.

This has been a most difficult term at the Court. The difficulty is underscored by the sudden and tragic passing of my colleague and friend, Justice Antonin Scalia. I think it is fitting to say a few words about him. Many will focus on his intellect and his legal prowess. I do not demur on either count. But there is so much more than that. When I think of Justice Scalia, I think of the good man who I could instinctively trust during my first days on the Court. He was, in the tradition of the South of my youth, a man of his word, a man of character. Over the almost 25 years that we were together on the Court, I think we made it a better place for each other. I know that he did for me. He was kind to me when it mattered most. He is, and will be, sorely missed.
