Putin crushes CNN smartass Fareed Zakaria on Donald Trump and US elections

Fareed Zakaria, as a host on CNN, is known to misquote Putin as well as misrepresent Russia's intentions to the world. At the St Petersburg Economic Forum 2016, Zakaria wasn't going to get away with that very easily.

To say that Barack Obama is an ideologue isn’t going to make national news at this point, that much is a given. Anyone with a pulse and an IQ over 6 has known that since before Obama took office in 2008, and even most liberals not registering any brain activity would have admitted as much once Obama secured his re-election in the 2012 election. It’s also not major news to say that Obama and his administration have been the most corrupt administration in recent memory, or that they subscribe to the philosophy of, “The ends justify the means,” the Constitution be damned…

With all that said, if recent weeks have shown us anything at all, they have shown us that Hillary Clinton is infinitely more corrupt than Obama, even more of a sociopath, not to mention a stone-cold killer when you consider that FIVE of her political enemies died from very strange and mysterious deaths in the last SIX weeks alone, making the number of dead former Clinton associates totaling 67 people. Coincidences? Hardly! Well, it gets worse…

Expert Analysis of Hillary Clinton’s Physical and Mental Breakdown

Via Billy

Hillary Clinton recently had a breakdown on TV. The media is of course covering this up rather than having an expert medical panel on to discuss her health. Yet what happened to Hillary was obviously a sign of a head injury and stroke.

When a protester appears, Hillary freezes. In psychology you learn that the flight-or-fight response is a myth. A stressful situation trigger a fight, flight, or freeze response.

“Freeze” is what we mean by saying someone has a “deer in the head lights look.” A prey animal freezes when it senses danger it cannot overcome and thus does not risk running away from. By freezing the deer hopes to not be seen.

Trump’s campaign enlists the “psychographic data” firm that talked millions of Brits into separating from the European Union

Donald Trump and his team have upped their game to win the race for the White House by hiring the company that got the Brexit message to millions, resulting in the split of Great Britain from the European Union.

Cambridge Analytica is a marketing film that targets voters (and potential donors) based on their unconscious psychological biases.

The strategic communications company also worked with former GOP candidates Ted Cruz, Ben Carson and the “Leave.EU” campaign in the United Kingdom. According to the Daily Beast, Cambridge Analytica “went after first-time voters and those who felt left out of the political process, the kinds of people that Trump was successful bringing to the polls in primary elections.”

Are Southerners Different?

This essay appeared in the 1984 winter issue of Southern Partisan magazine.

In the best of all possible worlds, President Reagan, George Will, William Buckley and I—conservatives all—or so it would appear—should be able to sit down over glasses of sour mash and find ourselves in such sweet agreement on the range of problems facing the world and the humankind in it that any opinion one of us stated might by and large draw nothing more than approving nods from the others.

But as most of us are constrained to notice now and again this is not the best of worlds, possible or otherwise, and the notion that conservatives east, west, midwest and south will find themselves in agreement on most matters of policy —much less on specific applications of policy—amounts to sentimentality, if not downright delusion. The truth is that the very notion of conservatism differs—on some points radically—between various regions of America.

Surely no one expects or wishes there to be a conservative creed on the Nicene model with an appropriate place at the bottom right-hand side for individual signatures. But the nagging question arises from time to time as to how much those who reckon themselves to be conservatives in various areas of the country actually have in common.

Do Motives Matter?

A friend of mine is translating a book on Lincoln written by Karl Marx. Her first installment was a refutation by Marx of the European press’s contention that the assault by the North on the South was not about slavery, but about economic and political power. Of course, one cannot divorce the issue of slavery from either consideration but Marx is either wrong or less than honest when he states that the conflict was “all about slavery,” a matter that he saw in the context of the “Workers’ Struggle.”

I will not dispute Marx who, as noted, sees things from a particular viewpoint, but I have seen a great deal of opinion on this issue, opinion based solely upon motive. In other words, the validity of the act depended upon the cause that inspired it. In a debate in my local Roundtable about the constitutionality of secession, one of those who believed it was unconstitutional declared that he had searched diligently for a “smoking gun”—a cause that would have justified the secession of South Carolina and the Cotton States—but could not find one. Now, I disagreed!

Southern Baptists and the Flag

It appears that the abstractions of the Enlightenment have over the last five-hundred years been read into Scripture and into the theologies of most of the Christian confessions as eisegesis and read back out as exegesis, thereby becoming the metaphysical touchstone of modern and post-modern Christianity.

This certainly seems to be the case of the most recent statements by Pope Francis that the Church should not only apologize to gays whom it has offended but also to the poor, to women and children whose labor has been exploited and for having blessed many weapons.  It is unclear how the Church has offended these people.  Are the offenses based on real or imagined sins of omission or commission? One must assume that the latter includes those weapons blessed for the efforts to defend Christendom at Tours, at Lepanto and at Vienna.

New mantra to deny Islamic terror: 'Mental illness'

Governments, media 'trying to obscure motives' of attackers

Is “mental illness” the new cover for jihadist attacks on the West?

It certainly seems that way, says a noted expert on jihad.

The latest “mentally unstable” young man to launch a seemingly random attack on unarmed civilians was Zakaria Bulhan, a 19-year-old Somali Muslim who had been resettled in Norway at the age of 5.

Bulhan singled out an American woman in London and stabbed her to death Wednesday on a busy square filled with tourists, then injured five others in a stabbing spree before being apprehended.

“Authorities have ascribed jihad terror to mental illness on numerous occasions,” said Robert Spencer, including the Orlando, San Bernardino and Chattanooga attacks in the United States.

Sometimes it sticks, but usually, days, weeks or even months later, when few people are still paying attention, the police will retract their earlier statements and admit it was a terrorist attack.

In the case of the Chattanooga attack it took the FBI five months to decide that Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez was indeed a jihadist and not simply a mentally disturbed young man who suddenly snapped before shooting to death five unarmed U.S. servicemen.

After a week of being behind Hillary Clinton by ten points or more in various polls, Donald Trump has suddenly pulled to nearly even in a national poll by Reuters/Ipsos released Saturday.

Clinton leads with 42 percent of the vote compared to 39 percent for Trump, a significant gain for the GOP nominee, who had been behind by eight points in a Reuters poll Monday.

"The reasons behind the shift were unclear," Reuters said.

Of the 121 Syrian refugees placed in Virginia so far, 112 have been placed in communities at least 100 miles away from the nation’s capital; 105 were placed in cities where median incomes fall below the state average.

The D.C. suburban counties of Fairfax, Loudoun and Arlington are all among the nation’s wealthiest and, according to U.S. census data, collectively have roughly 1.7 million residents. The three counties have resettled a grand total of nine Syrian refugees, all nine of whom were placed in the city of Falls Church.

The other 93 percent of Syrian refugees in Virginia were all placed at least 100 miles away from the nation’s legislators: Charlottesville (116.9 miles away, according to Google Maps), Harrisonburg (130 miles away), Newport News (171 miles away), Powhatan (137 miles away) and Roanoke (240 miles away) received the rest of the state’s Syrian refugees.

2010: Juan Williams: 'Don't Tread on Me' Flags are 'Timothy McVeigh' Imagery

Via comment by  Terry on Wearing ‘Don’t Tread on Me’ insignia could be puni...
It just dawned on me why those morons think that. It is because the Tea Party folks used that flag and the Tea Party folks are racist therefore that flag must be racist.
I first heard that implied by Juan Williams on The O'Reilly Factor back in 2010. (back when I watched it, haven't watched that self centered blow-hard in years). Juan showed just what an ignorant fool he is. O'Reilly straightened him out."

On Monday's O'Reilly Factor on Fox News, NPR news analyst Juan Williams furthered the left's talking point about the tea party's supposed connection to militias, and even went so far to claim that the Gadsden or "Don't Tread on Me" flags used by the conservative grassroots movement is "the same imagery that was on Timothy McVeigh" [audio available here].

Williams made this preposterous claim during a panel discussion with the Weekly Standard's Mary Katharine Ham 25 minutes into the 8 pm Eastern hour.
