Pence Replaces Christie as Trump Campaign Transition Chairman
Via Frank
Chris Christie's fall from grace is now complete.
Months after Christie, having lost his presidential primary to Donald Trump, had ambitions for becoming Trump's vice presidential candidate, Christie just suffered another dramatic fall from grace after President-elect Donald Trump shuffled his transition team three days after his surprising victory, and increased the influence of Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions, one of Washington’s most vocal critics of illegal immigration, while diluting that of Christie.
According to the WSJ, Chris Christie was removed as Trump campaign transition chairman on Friday, a position that will now be filled by Vice President-elect Mike Pence, the transition team confirmed. Christie will remain on the transition team’s executive committee as a vice chairman, along with Ben Carson, both largely figured positions; they will be also joined by retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Mr. Sessions.
The most drastic change on staff was the elevation of Rick Dearborn, the staff chief of Mr. Sessions’ Washington office, into the role of transition director. The move sidelined Rich Bagger, a top ally of Mr. Christie’s who held that role for the last several months. Mr. Bagger couldn’t be reached for comment.

An open letter to America’s college cupcakes on Veterans Day by Ray Starmann Editor in Chief, US Defense Watch
Via Anita " FYI. This guys does a perfect summary on how I feel about these idiots crying in their soup. My late father, Theodore Henderson had been a WWII DI before shipping out to the Pacific. Trust me, it's a challenge being raised by a DI!! Dad's favorite mantra was "No excuses!". With a father like that, it was inevitable that I developed a dislike of excuse making folks especially if it were me lol! I also recall a story from college. I received a 91 on my first exam in biochemistry and was thrilled. The second test, I received a 33. The professor who was a good professor became a bad teacher by being disturbed she didn't achieve her perfect bell curve with the first test results. Now folks, I went to Wellesley where no one was a slouch.
She made the test so hard, she flunked 60% of the class. When I got my results, I started to cry, thinking my chance of becoming a physician impossible to achieve. I called home and Dad...not Mom picked up the phone. I was crying uncontrollably: " I flunked by biochem exam, I'll never go to medical school. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! This lasted about 15 seconds before Dad responded: "YOU SLACKED UP, YOU STOPPED APPLYING YOURSELF! YOU BETTER STOP BAWLING, BAWLING'S NOT GOING TO GET YOU ANYWHERE. YOU BETTER SETTLE DOWN, BUCKLE DOWN AND STUDY."!!!!!!
Talk about stunned, I called looking for sympathy but got a swift kick in the rear. He was right. My histrionics weren't going to change anything and I did what he told me. I was so scared, I studied like crazy and got a B+ out of the final. These folks need to pull themselves together, relax, have a beer or wine and start studying again. The sky won't fall in and they will still be able to get their latte mochas when they want. In fact, they may start to realize things will get better with Trump ;-)"
See! I didn't close my eyes! :)

Free thought and expression and discussion are disappearing from
college campuses and being replaced by behavior and lexicons out of
1984.
In the greatest arenas of free speech across this land, you shriek
and howl and cry and stamp your feet like two year olds when someone
disagrees with you.
You have mental meltdowns when reading passages from the world’s

You feel oppressed and terrorized when viewing someone in a Halloween costume that you dislike.
You are triggered by opposing views from Presidential candidates, who
do nothing more than say things that you may disagree with.

Michael Moore: Trump will be impeached because he is a narcissist
Via Billy
I believe Dorkhead is confusing Trump with Obama! :)
Mr. Moore also predicted that Mr. Trump would be impeached before his first term is over.
“I don’t believe anyone in the media who says we’re going to have four years of Trump,” he said. “He doesn’t support any ideology except the ideology of Donald J. Trump. And when you have a narcissist like that who’s so narcissistic where it’s all about him. He will break laws. He will break laws, because he’s only thinking about what’s best for him.”

Why Trump Won
Via Mike
Throughout the course of the 2016 election, the conventional groupthink was that the renegade Donald Trump had irrevocably torn apart the Republican Party. His base populism supposedly sandbagged more experienced and electable Republican candidates, who were bewildered that a “conservative” would dare to pander to hoi polloi by promising deportations of illegal aliens, renegotiation of trade agreements that “ripped off” working people, and a messy attack on the reigning political correctness.
It was also a common complaint that Trump had neither political nor military experience. He trash-talked his way into the nomination, critics said, which led to defections among the outraged Republican elite. By August, a #NeverTrump movement had taken root among many conservatives, including some at National Review, The Weekly Standard, and the Wall Street Journal. Many neoconservatives who formerly supported President George W. Bush flipped parties, openly supporting the Clinton candidacy.

Just to move away from our own shores for a bit, since everybody else is already covering that and doing so quite fantastically, if you ask us. We’re talking, of course, about Bill, Mike, Ace, Francis and so on, all of whom you can find on our Blogroll.
We have this old habit of redirecting our attention whenever the environment in which we live changes. Along the lines of “OK, so this is what we think will be on the agenda for the upcoming years, so perhaps we should try to get some knowledge of the battlefield ahead of time.” We’re sure that most if not all of you do the same thing. Problem is, we spend entirely too much time doing so. Just ask our long-suffering Imperial Family. They’ll tell you.
Anyway. Since the Trump Administration is now a fact, it looks like we’ll be dealing with the Putin Administration, and likely not over the iron sights of a gun. Which, in our opinion, is a Good Thing™. Not a view we share with everybody on “our side”, especially not John Sexton from Hot Air who, we’ve heard, has spent the last couple of days buying all the survival gear that Wal*Mart has to offer and started digging a bunker in his back yard while his TV is running “Red Dawn” on continuous loop.

1.4 million Obama amnesty applicants on deportation hit list

Some 1.4 million illegals who followed President Obama's
request to sign up for two controversial amnesty programs could be
among the first to face deportation under the new administration.
The reason: In exchange for getting into the two programs, they handed over their identities, home addresses, and admitted to being in the United States illegally, making them the easiest to find and legally deport.

Memo to Trump: ‘Action This Day!’
Donald Trump should be magnanimous and gracious toward those whom he defeated this week, but his first duty is to keep faith with those who put their faith in him.
The protests, riots and violence that have attended his triumph in city after city should only serve to steel his resolve.
As for promptings that he “reach out” and “reassure” those upset by his victory, and trim or temper his agenda to pacify them, Trump should reject the poisoned chalice. This is the same old con.
Trump should take as models the Democrats FDR and LBJ.
Franklin Roosevelt, who had savaged Herbert Hoover as a big spender, launched his own New Deal in his first 100 days.
History now hails his initiative and resolve.
Lyndon Johnson exploited his landslide over Barry Goldwater in 1964 to erect his Great Society in 1965: the Voting Rights Act, Medicare and Medicaid. He compromised on nothing, and got it all.
Even those who turned on him for Vietnam still celebrate his domestic achievements.
President Nixon’s great regret was that he did not bomb Hanoi and mine Haiphong in 1969 — instead of waiting until 1972 — and bring the Vietnam War to an earlier end and with fewer U.S. casualties.
Nixon’s decision not to inflame the social and political crisis of the ’60s by rolling back the Great Society bought him nothing. He was rewarded with media-backed mass demonstrations in 1969 to break his presidency and bring about an American defeat in Vietnam.

Trump can eviscerate Obama’s policies by dropping lawsuits, revoking memos
Via Billy
Forget about waiting for Congress — Donald Trump can eviscerate Obamacare and cripple President Obama’s global warming framework all on his first few days in office by directing policy from the White House and ordering his Justice Department to drop lawsuits that the current administration is pursuing.
Lawyers said getting rid of the government’s mandate that schools allow transgender students to choose their bathrooms could be as simple as retracting an Education Department letter, then letting judges know that is no longer the administration’s position.
Mr. Obama’s 2014 deportation amnesty, which is also the subject of court challenges, could be nixed by revoking the Homeland Security memo that laid out the policy, then telling judges it’s gone. No memo, no case.

Vladimir Putin, Russians cheer Donald Trump’s victory, see better U.S. relations ahead
Via Billy
Donald Trump’s shock victory in the presidential election Tuesday has sent champagne corks flying around this city, where state media and pro-Kremlin politicians are confidently predicting a dramatic turnaround in Russian-U.S. relations.
Although it’s not clear what he will do when he comes to power, Mr. Trump has alarmed U.S. allies in Eastern Europe by suggesting that he would scale down American commitment to NATO while appearing to say that he could accept the status of Crimea, the Ukrainian peninsula annexed by the Kremlin in 2014.
He has also indicated that he would consider lifting crippling economic sanctions imposed by the Obama administration over Russia’s actions in Ukraine.
The Russian ruble and stock markets gained Wednesday as news of Mr. Trump’s victory broke. That is seen here as a sign of a possible warming of bilateral ties and a repudiation of Democrat Hillary Clinton, who had pledged to be more assertive with Russia over Syria and Ukraine.
“I think that Trump, as a pragmatic person, will scrap anti-Russian sanctions that are also hurting American business,” Sergei Glazyev, a Kremlin economic adviser, told the Tass state news agency. “The entire whole foreign policy of the previous administration was focused on aggression against Russia with the aim of maintaining U.S. hegemony,” he said. “We can say this aggression has failed.”

Two paths for the Alt-Right
Via Iver
..........in order to be left alone to live as we see fit, we have to band
together, put on our armored battlesuits, and march in the name of the
God-Emperor to eradicate every remnant of SJW that survives anywhere in
the world with all the fanaticism of the Spanish Inquisition
unrestrained by Pope, King, or Queen, then that is precisely what we will do. We are the vanguard now. We are the God-Emperor's shock troops. We are Les Deplorables and WE. DON'T. CARE.
Wired predicts in-fighting and failure for the Alt-Right:
Richard Spencer's article, We the Vanguard Now, would appear to be considerably more relevant to life as we observe it on this particular planet at this particular point in time.
Wired predicts in-fighting and failure for the Alt-Right:
The movement may soon find itself with a messaging problem. “Their whole attraction is they’re fighting to regain power,” says Gerstenfeld. “I don’t think they’ll do a good job spreading that message when they are in power and there’s nothing to fight against.” Gerstenfeld points out that the extremist militia groups that were common during Bill Clinton’s presidency all but disappeared during the George Bush years that followed. With Trump in the White House, it’ll be hard for the alt-right to argue that the American white male is disenfranchised. “People will stop caring,” Gerstenfeld says. This indicates an almost complete failure to even begin to grasp what the Alt-Right is, what it seeks to accomplish, or why it exists in the first place. Do they really believe that the Ascension of the God-Emperor to the Cherry Blossom Throne is going to instantly reverse the current demographic trends across the West? I certainly wish we could believe that, but a single national election is but a single small step in the process.
And though Taylor and David Duke and Breitbart’s Milo Yiannopoulos are exuberant about President Trump now, they might not always feel that way. “There’s a gaping hole between most Americans and the alt-right. He’s going to have to backtrack to govern all of us,” Painter says. “Is that going to inspire a Bundy brothers insurgency against him? I wouldn’t be surprised.” The Trump administration is not the early days of an alt-right America. It’s the beginning of a fringe group’s fall.

Alabama mayor creates GoFundMe to send anti-Trump celebrities to Mexico

An Alabama mayor has a message for celebrities who pledged to leave
the U.S. if Donald Trump was elected president: Don't let the screen
door hit you on the way out.
Orange Beach Mayor Tony Kennon posted a message on his Facebook page announcing the creation of a GoFundMe page to raise money to purchase bus tickets for "celebrities, athletes and other high-minded elitists who are traumatized by the new Trump era."
The tickets will take the protesting celebrities to Tijuana, Mexico, and not Canada, a destination mentioned by many, Kennon said. Even before the election, celebrities ranging from Miley Cyrus and Cher to Barbra Streisand and director Spike Lee said they'd exit the US if the Republican nominee defeated Hillary Clinton.

The Other William C. Falkner
The date was Tuesday, November 5th . . . the year was 1889 . . . federal and local elections were being held in twenty states throughout America. In addition to the elections in Virginia that day, the newly launched steamer “New York” was setting out on her trial run from Norfolk. Further south, after winning a seat in the Mississippi Legislature, Colonel William Clark Falkner was taking a casual evening stroll along Main Street in his hometown of Ripley. As he passed the law office of his former business associate, Richard J. “Dick” Thurmond, just opposite the Tippah County Courthouse, a shot was fired by Thurmond and Falkner collapsed in the street mortally wounded. By an odd quirk of fate, on May 8th, just forty years previously, a man with whom Falkner had served in the Mexican War, Robert Hindman, had also attempted to shoot Falkner at almost the exact same spot in Ripley. However, when Hindman’s pistol misfired, the intended victim drew out a large Bowie knife and stabbed his assailant to death. While there are various theories concerning the deadly altercation between the two former soldiers, the one most accepted is that both had been in love with the same girl, Holland Pearce, and when she married Falkner in 1848, Hindman sought revenge a few months later.

State Ballot Measures Temper Trump Victory for Gun Owners
Via L&P
The gun-grabbers will be looking for victories at the blue state level and making inroads into red ones that were close calls.
Activist gun owners interested in keeping Hillary Clinton out of the White House achieved that goal in Tuesday’s election. The candidate who disagreed with the Supreme Court on the Second Amendment will not get a chance to replace judges with those more to her liking. Nor will she be able to conduct executive order gun grabs, or use the bully pulpit of the presidency to lead the way on further bans.
Republican control of the House and Senate reduces the likelihood of new federal infringements. Just don’t be surprised to see some “moderate” GOP faintheart floating preemptive surrender on prior restraints or due process denials the next time some already-on-the-radar dirtbag decides exploiting a “gun-free zone” is a great way to get media attention.

An argument can be made that paleoconservatives saw Trump's victory coming, as
paleoconservatives sometimes describe America's political trajectory as "anarcho-tyranny"
As the media and political establishment continues to reel from the unexpected outcome of this past Tuesday, it may be worth noting that for at least one generally overlooked group of political commentators the Trump phenomenon did not quite come as a totally unexpected bolt from the blue. I refer to those who are sometimes called "paleoconservatives."

The Trump Victory: What We Saw And What We Need To See
Via Cousin John
What We Saw
Let’s
be honest: we saw a historic election Tuesday night. The only election
coming close to the stunning proportions of this election was Ronald
Reagan’s first election in 1980. And even that one didn’t match Trump’s
victory. Yes, it was a stunning victory for Donald Trump.
Let’s
be clear about what we witnessed. In one presidential election, we saw a
man completely demolish the neocon and neolib establishments of both
major parties; the media establishment; the globalist establishment;
Wall Street; the political machine of an incumbent President; and the
Clinton/Bush political/criminal empires. The odds of ANYONE being able
to overcome the combined wealth and power of the leviathans above was
absolutely zero. Each one of the listed cabals has enough power to
destroy any would-be challenger. That Donald Trump was able to beat them
all was truly incredible--maybe even miraculous. And he not only beat
them; he trounced them.
Over
the years, Ross Perot, Pat Buchanan and Ron Paul had done the
preliminary work of loading the bases for Trump. These men helped awaken
the sleeping giant that roared to life Tuesday night. But it was Donald
Trump who knocked the ball clean out of the park. And he did it as an
outside slugger in the opposition’s home park--a park in which the
owners, officials, and gatekeepers had rigged the game to insure he
would strike out. To their shock and dismay, he didn’t.
