 Levi Strauss & Co. was founded in 1800’s and became successful selling blue jeans to many people who probably carried guns openly. Now it looks as though they’re prepared to throw gun carrying customers under the bus.

Levi Strauss & Co. CEO Chip Bergh is posting an open letter to customers, asking law-abiding citizens to refrain from bringing their concealed carry firearms into Levi Strauss stores.
Bergh said his letter represents a “request” rather than a “mandate” or all-out ban, but he hopes customers will honor the request and enter Levi Strauss stores unarmed.

Why are so many Muslim refugees coming to the US? Why do so few persecuted Christians come? The answer is the position of the churches. The biggest door into US society is the church door. The Christians and Jews love to attend interfaith gatherings where they sit and nod their heads yes to all that the Muslims say.

But the Christian and Jewish leaders are ignorant about Islam. They know nothing about the Islamic doctrine of Christian and Jew hatred. But what is worse is that they refuse to learn.

Christian leaders have developed a doctrine of the coward to justify their pious ignorance and fear. They are all about turning the other cheek, loving their enemies, and doing nothing while waiting for Jesus to return. They are incapable of boldness and courage. Wimps all (well, about 95% of them).

And if you are not a Christian, why aren’t you concerned with the greatest human rights tragedy happening today—the killing of religious minorities in Islamic lands? Why can’t persecuted Christians come as refugees to America? When will Christians care about the persecution of their own brothers and sisters?

What has happened to us (Christians, Jews, Buddhists, atheists and all others) that we are no longer able to have moral outrage? Righteous anger?

Navy Veteran’s Home Torched And Vandalized With Anti-Trump Graffiti

There are lots of questions surrounding a fire that gutted a home on Johnson Street in Plant City overnight.

Along with heavy damage, anti-Trump graffiti was sprayed on the house, inside and out. The family who lives there was spending the night with relatives, but Navy veteran Matthew Smith says his home was targeted because he is a Donald Trump supporter.

"It's not what I expected out of America," says Smith. "It should be us figuring problems out together."

Smith flies three flags in front of his house: the American flag, the POW flag, and the Navy flag.

Trump should unleash coal industry from EPA regulations

Donald Trump praised America's coal workers throughout the recent presidential campaign. And he vowed to get the coal industry back on its feet. Now that a Trump Administration is poised to take office on January 20, it's realistic to believe that relief could be on the way for decimated coal communities.

You wouldn't know this from the mainstream media, however. Too often, pundits belittle the impact that Obama administration regulations have had on coal. We're told that it isn't federal rules stifling coal production; instead, it's only market competition that has been responsible for coal's decline.
This is the administration's line, and it is nonsense.

Goldman Says Trump's Presidency Will Benefit Stocks in Almost Every Sector

After years of slowing earnings growth and little in the way of excitement for many Wall Street analysts, many are now hopeful that President-elect Donald Trump will finally make things interesting.

When collating data for the Goldman Sachs Group Inc. Analyst Index — a proprietary measure of growth across different sectors of the S&P 500 — the firm included a question this month on what the election of Donald Trump will mean for the industries covered by those surveyed. Turns out, they are rather optimistic.

"This month, we asked analysts to comment on how the results of the U.S. election will affect companies in their respective sectors," the team led by Avisha Thakkar writes in the new note. "While their responses suggest that there is still uncertainty about the sector-level impact, the majority of sectors are anticipating favorable effects," they say, adding that expectations of lower tax rates and economic stimulus are among key reasons for the favorable outlook.

Palin under consideration to head Veterans Affairs

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) is under consideration to serve as the secretary of Veterans Affairs in Donald Trump's administration, ABC News reported Wednesday.

A Palin aide told ABC News that Palin told Trump transition officials in recent days that she feels "as though the megaphone I have been provided can be used in a productive and positive way to help those desperately in need."

Palin posted the ABC News article saying she was under consideration for the VA position to her Facebook page on Wednesday.

She also shared a post from her son-in-law, Dakota Meyer, a Medal of Honor recipient, that touted her support for the country's troops.

Karl Troutwein, in his 2009 book, The 9/11 Verses: Terrorist Teachings in the Koran, describes four main elements in the Koran and the Sunna (the words and actions of Muhammad) that when combined result in a high probability of Islamic violence.

The first is “An attitude of anger and hate towards non-Muslims.”

Burns Chronicles No 45 Mark McConnell #2

I have obtained some additional information on Mark McConnell that will be of interest to all.  After my last article, “Mark McConnell“, it seems that McConnell kept saying that the information was readily available.  He never really addressed whether he was an informant, or not.  He simply sidestepped the issue of the role he played.

So, let’s separate the issues between what he said and whether he was an informant.  To do so, we simply look to the Court record and see what transpired, on two separate occasions, during the trial of the United States of America v. Ammon Bundy, et al.  The verdict was not guilty on all but one count.

From the rough draft transcripts of the trial, September 21, 2016.  Mr. Gabriel is one of the prosecuting attorneys.  Beckert is an Oregon State Police officer.  Mr. Mumford was Ammon Bundy’s attorney.  Yu will not that the government prosecuting attorney intentionally outed McConnell as a government informant.  I will leave the reader to speculate as to why they would do this.

CNBC broke the story, citing sources in reporting the deal with United Technologies Tuesday evening, which will keep close to 1,000 factory jobs in Indiana. The network says the deal will include new inducements from the state and was spearheaded by Vice President-elect Gov. Mike Pence.

Trump Meets With Goldman’s Cohn as Dinner Set With Romney

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. President Gary Cohn and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney were meeting Tuesday with Donald Trump as the president-elect and his team consider candidates to fill out key roles in the administration.

Cohn arrived at Trump Tower in Manhattan Tuesday afternoon for a meeting with Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence. Trump was then scheduled to go to dinner with Romney, the 2012 Republican presidential nominee who’s a contender for secretary of state. Another potential choice for the nation’s top diplomat, Tennessee Senator Bob Corker, met with Trump earlier in the day.

As he moves through the list of high-level administration jobs he has to fill, Trump on Tuesday announced he’ll nominate Georgia Representative Tom Price, a leading critic of Obamacare, to head the Department of Health and Human Services. A person familiar with the transition said he’s poised to pick former U.S. Labor Secretary Elaine Chao, the wife of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, to be transportation secretary.

What is really disturbing is just how far politics has fallen. The FBI released Huma Abedin 302, or the notes on her interview with the FBI. It is becoming painfully clear why Obama would never indict Hillary and may provide her a pardon to protect himself. Abedin told FBI agents she “had to tell the White House” every time Hillary Clinton changed her email address to make sure Obama’s device would accept it. Therefore, Obama outright lied saying the first time he heard of Hillary’s private emails was when the New York Times broke the story.

Abedin says she had to notify Obama of Hillary’s private emails so he knew what she was doing. The trail of evidence with Norway and Obama being given the Noble Peace Prize for nothing  means that Obama was clearly a co-conspirator with Hillary. No wonder the FBI and Justice Department have stood down. They had to otherwise Obama could be criminally charged as well.

Politics has definitely found a new low.

College Blocks Formation Of Conservative Group For Being Too Anti-Communist

A Baptist college in Alabama has blocked the formation of a Young Americans for Freedom (YAF) chapter, in part because the group’s founding document is too aggressively anti-communist.

Students at Samford University have been petitioning to have their new YAF chapter recognized by the school, but found their statement of purpose is an obstacle to recognition.

YAF’s founding document is based on the Sharon Statement, a declaration of conservative principles adopted by 100 young conservatives in 1960 during a meeting at the home of William F. Buckley.

 The statement notably takes an extremely hostile posture towards communism, in tune with its creation at the height of the Cold War.

“The forces of international Communism are, at present, the greatest single threat to [American] liberties[, and] the United States should stress victory over, rather than coexistence with, this menace,” the statement says.

This hostility to communism caused a faculty committee to veto their petition to create an on-campus YAF chapter, according to Samford conservatives.

Donald Trump’s interview Tuesday with Rep. Michael T. McCaul for secretary of homeland security set off alarms for illegal immigration opponents who view the congressman as weak on border security and latently pro-amnesty.

Mr. McCaul, Texas Republican and chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, has repeatedly riled conservatives with what they describe as ineffective posturing against President Obama’s lax enforcement of immigration laws.

His chief offense was co-authoring the 2015 Secure Our Borders First Act, which conservatives and activists reviled as a fig leaf to Democrats that included tough language but ignored the estimated 11 million illegal immigrants living in the U.S. and kept too much decision-making in the hands of the Obama administration.

“We certainly hope that Donald Trump would not reward a deceptive pro-amnesty lawmaker like Michael McCaul with a Cabinet position,” said William Gheen, president of Americans for Legal Immigration PAC. “That would be very disappointing to all of us that believed his campaign promises to secure our borders and deport millions of illegal immigrants under current U.S. laws.”
