More action this morning on the President Donald Trump’s travel ban.
On Friday night, a federal judge in Seattle placed a nationwide restraining order against imposition of the travel ban until the merits of the ban can be determined.
That decision put the travel ban on hold and the DHS stopped all aspects of it.
The Department of Justice filed an appeal of the restraining order and asked for an immediate stay against its imposition.
The appeal court judge handed down a decision on the immediate stay this morning.

This 'judge' is completely out of control. He has NO authority, under the Constitution, to render such a ruling. President Trump should continue to enforce his ban and take the position of President Hamilton with regard to usurpation of executive power and authority granted under the Constitution, "John Marshall has made his decision; now let him enforce it!" All the President need do is insert James Robart in place of John Marshall.
ReplyDeleteThese rampant abuses of power by the federal judiciary MUST...MUST be addressed if we are to reclaim the liberties long restricted and or eliminated via judicial fiat. This is true of states, individuals, congress and now the President.
Let us pray President Trump is man enough for the job.

DeletePrecisely. Marshall, Virginia is where I grew up from 5 until Vietnam is named after him as his house was outside the town of 600. It was named Salem during the WAR, but changed later. Also, the place where Mosby disbanded his men.
