“We won’t get no satisfaction till we take down Andrew Jackson after Lee’s removal." (Exactly what we were told and then it will be Washington, et al)

Via Billy

“The Lee monument was erected (in 1884) without the use of taxpayer money. The same cannot be said for its removal using city resources, city employees, and a shroud of secrecy that's more fitting to ISIS tactics than those of the United States of America,” the statement said. “With the removal of four of our century-plus aged landmarks, at 299 years old, New Orleans now heads in to our tricentennial more divided and less historic.”

  1. This just goes to show that the South should be given a more respectable approach in American history books. I have very happy that at least in my history classes the emphasis was to learn original documents. For me this was my most difficult class but in spite of my not doing well I think i got a good impression of the issues involved.

I think since then American history has been slanted against teh South.

  2. Brock,
Pastor Chuck Baldwin wrote a great column on the removal of these icons and also one of the best I've read about the causes of the start of the War Of Northern Aggression.
    A must read!

  6. The warped mayor of Southern New Orleans. How did this
country get so many mentally ill so-called leaders. How do
these incompetent, degenerate, unAmerican types keep
becoming mayors, chief of police, governors, etc....It's
just like city councils - we the people tell them what
we want and they over-rule and do what they want. We have
a big problems with communist leadership:

And, the only reason I would go to New Orleans is Bourbon
    Street and THE Monuments.
