Putin: Trump is repeating Bush's mistake in Iraq
Via Billy
Russian President Vladimir Putin compared the recent U.S. strike against Syrian President Bashar Assad to George W. Bush's decision to invade Iraq in 2003.
"This resembles very much the situation of 2003 and the war in Iraq," Putin said during a press conference Tuesday. "First of all, there was a campaign launched in Iraq and it finished with the destruction of the country, the growth of the terrorist threat and the emergence of [the Islamic State] on the international arena."
That statement continued a line of criticism Russia and its allies are making in front of the United Nations, as they cast doubt on U.S. and Western European conclusions that Assad's regime is responsible for the April 4 chemical weapons attack. The Bolivian government invoked the failure to find Iraqi weapons of mass destruction during Friday's security council meeting and Putin suggested that the Unired States might stage a chemical weapons attack to justify another bombing of Syria.

Buchanan: Syria = marks of a false flag operation
It doesn't pass the smell test.
Thus far Bashar Assad seems unintimidated. Brushing off the strikes, he has defiantly gone back to bombing the rebels from the same Shayrat air base that the U.S. missiles hit.
Trump “will not stop here,” warned U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley on Sunday. “If he needs to do more, he will.”
If Trump fails to back up Haley’s threat, the hawks now cheering him on will begin deriding him as “Donald Obama.”
But if he throbs to the war drums of John McCain, Lindsey Graham and Marco Rubio and orders Syria’s air force destroyed, we could be at war not only with ISIS and al-Qaida, but with Syria, Russia, Iran and Hezbollah.
A Syrian war would consume Trump’s presidency.

Putin: Idlib ‘chemical attack’ was false flag to set Assad up, more may come
Via Billy
“We
have reports from multiple sources that false flags like this one – and
I cannot call it otherwise – are being prepared in other parts of
Syria, including the southern suburbs of Damascus. They plan to plant
some chemical there and accuse the Syrian government of an attack,” he said at a joint press conference with Italian President Sergio Mattarella in Moscow.
Damascus denied the allegations, noting that the targeted area may have been hosting chemical weapons stockpiles belonging to Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) or Al-Nusra Front jihadists.
The incident has not been properly investigated as yet, but the US fired dozens of cruise missiles at a Syrian airbase in a demonstration of force over what it labeled a chemical attack by Damascus.
“President Mattarella and I discussed it, and I told him that this reminds me strongly of the events in 2003, when the US representatives demonstrated at the UN Security Council session the presumed chemical weapons found in Iraq. The military campaign was subsequently launched in Iraq and it ended with the devastation of the country, the growth of the terrorist threat and the appearance of Islamic State [IS, formerly ISIS] on the world stage,” he added.
Russia has information of a potential incident similar to the
alleged chemical attack in Idlib province, possibly targeting a Damascus
suburb, President Vladimir Putin said. The goal is to discredit the
government of Syrian President Assad, he added.

WikiLeaks: CIA used 'Grasshopper' framework to infect Windows users
Via Iver
The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) targets Windows users via a framework called Grasshopper that it uses to customize and execute malware, according to 27 documents published by WikiLeaks in the latest installment of its Vault7 leaks.
The agency can use custom installers tailored to the version of Windows and antivirus software a user is running. The documents also detail persistence mechanisms, those tools that malware uses to evade detection. In one mechanism, Stolen Goods, the CIA use Carberp financial malware that first appeared in 2013.
The documents indicate that the agency made modifications to Carberp and then used Grasshopper to tailor it to victims computers and persist by evading AV scans and reinstalling itself.

It should come as no surprise that there is anxiety or even outrage among those who identify with the counter-globalist movement which put Donald Trump into office. Whatever one thinks of either President Trump or his cruise missile strike upon Syria, it is obvious that nobody who voted for “the Donald” was inspired to do so by a moralistic vision of humanitarian empire. Nor could any honest person represent the last presidential election as a rousing endorsement of the foreign policy status quo. Yet by attacking a nation that poses no clear and present danger to the United States, the president has signaled that he may indeed follow in his Democratic and Republican predecessors’ interventionist footsteps. Will the Trump administration promote a program of endless regime change throughout the world, after all? Will it perpetuate the liberal West’s cold war with Orthodox Russia?

Iran the Destabilizer: A world in turmoil, thank you Mr. Trump!

The real Donald Trump has been exposed. The man who promised a sensible and non-interventionist Middle Eastern policy and a reset with Moscow has now reneged on both pledges. His nitwit United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley has directly linked Russia and Syria for punishment by the omnipotent Leader of the Free World lest anyone be confused.
The unconscionable attack on Syria based on the usual unsubstantiated allegations has shifted the playing field dramatically, with the “new sheriff in town” apparently intent on proving he is a real man who can play hardball with the rest of them. Last week Syria was blamed by all and sundry in the Establishment for an alleged chemical weapons attack just two days after the White House backed away from the Obama Administration demand that President Bashar al-Assad be removed. Was Syria dumb enough to use chemical weapons in a war that it is winning at a point when the overt hostility from Washington had been ratcheted down? Or was it staged by the so-called rebels?
And who benefits from weakening al-Assad of Syria? ISIS and al-Qaeda. Now that Trump has the bit between his teeth on how abysmal approval ratings can skyrocket if one starts a war, look forward to more of the same with my sources telling me that establishment of a no-fly zone is currently being discussed in the Pentagon. A no-fly zone would be toe-to-toe with the Russkies to see who would blink first.

Marine LePen Slams French Establishment on Islamic Street Prayers
Via Billy
French presidential candidate, Marine LePen, has weighed-in on the controversial Islamic street prayers taking place in the Paris suburb of Clichy, criticizing her main rivals and their previous administrations’ ‘’laxity’’ for not tackling ‘’communitarianism’’ and the conditions under which such gatherings are taking place.
Whilst stating her respect for all religions and faiths, LePen made it clear that under her leadership the French Republic’s rules on secularism would be rigorously enforced, as she called the daily gatherings just outside of Paris more political and ideological than religious.
‘’There is no reason whatsoever justifying that we tolerate these proselytizing expressions in the public place’’, she declared – referring to the scenes at Clichy where Islamic prayers are said in contravention of French law – affirming that the street is a public space and that the by-products of such demonstrations would include radicalization.

EU To Issue Ultimatum To Poland And Hungary: Accept More Refugees Or Get Out…

A number of countries are allegedly preparing an ultimatum for Hungary and Poland to either accept more refugees or leave the European Union.
Both countries have ignored a push from the EU to relocate 160,000 migrants proportionally across the union. The Times reported Tuesday that Germany, France and up to 21 other countries are prepared to demand Hungary and Poland accept the quotas if they want to stay in the EU.
“They will have to make a choice: are they in the European system or not?” an unnamed senior diplomatic source told The Times. “You cannot blackmail the EU, unity has a price.”
The European Court of Justice is expected to rule in favor of quotas by the end of the year. If countries still refuse to cooperate, the EU will impose financial and political sanctions.

The story of the hour is the rush to judgment on who was responsible for the deaths in a Syrian town said to be due to some kind of gas. The one responsible is none other than Assad, Mad Dog Ophthalmologist. The amount of intellectual dishonesty one has to wade through in listening to very eminent men convinced of this fact is stunning.
On grounds of cui bono alone a reasonable person would have to conclude the opposite, namely, that Assad gains nothing by reckless chemical weapon use against civilians, or even military ones. The very indiscriminate nature of chemical weapons makes them a poor choice and Assad's forces have been doing very well with conventional weapons alone. Why mess with success?

It isn't hard to understand how Trump's decision can garner the support of so many Americans who feel a sense of outrage that a government would attack its own people. Americans, rightfully so, hold a moral high ground concerning the relationship between governments and the people they govern. Unfortunately, there is no solid evidence that Assad is the one responsible for the attack.

North Korea vows response to 'reckless' US Navy move

North Korea denounced the US deployment of a naval strike group
to the region Tuesday, warning it is ready for "war" as Washington
tightens the screws on the nuclear-armed state.
The
strike group -- which includes the Nimitz-class aircraft supercarrier
USS Carl Vinson -- cancelled a planned trip to Australia this weekend to
head to the Korean peninsula in a show of force.
"This
goes to prove that the US reckless moves for invading the DPRK have
reached a serious phase," a spokesman for the North's foreign ministry
said according to state news agency KCNA.
"The
DPRK is ready to react to any mode of war desired by the US," he said,
using the country's official name, the Democratic People's Republic of

The Chinese army has reportedly deployed
150,000 troops to the North Korean border to prepare for pre-emptive

President Donald Trump's missile strike on Syria on Friday was widely interpreted as a warning to North Korea.
And now China,
left shocked by the air strikes, has deployed medical and backup units
from the People's Liberation Army forces to the Yalu River, Korea's Chosun.com reported.
The
troops have been dispatched to handle North Korean refugees and
'unforeseen circumstances', such as the prospect of preemptive attacks
on North Korea, the news agency said.
Meanwhile, the US Navy has moved the USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier strike group from Singapore to North Korea after the country conducted more missile testing.
