Politically Correct History: Making Slavery the Cause of the Un-Civil War-Part 1 of 2

What was the cause of the so-called American “Civil War”? Post war Union propaganda generally served up a self-justifying misrepresentation of the war as a morality play in which a noble Union Army marched forth to battle for the glorious purpose of emancipating downtrodden slaves from evil Southerners. This explanation has been continued in an even more strident and self-righteous form in modern political correctness. This is usually supplemented with assertions that the South also had to be conquered (and hundreds of thousands of people killed) to “save” the Union. 

These often repeated assertions attempt to claim the moral high ground for Northern aggression and to discredit the South’s resistance to that aggression as “morally wrong,” as one incredibly arrogant editorial in a nominally Southern newspaper put it. This is insulting to those Southerners who have not surrendered mind and soul to the truth suppressing tyranny of modern reconstruction. It should also be disconcerting to anyone who values truth and eschews politically motivated distortion.

Ignoring the voice of the voters, the Alachua Co. Commission caved to the cultural Marxists including “Anti-fa”, “Black Lives Matter” and “white-guilters” and in a new entrant, the “Uhuru” movement, feigned “Southerners” in a sad display of ignorance and hate last night by voting 4-1 to purge the War Memorial from County property.
“Turn this thing into rubble”, “it’s a symbol of white supremacy” and “more Southern blood should have been shed” were some of the rants offered by the ‘take it downers’ who offered ‘Peace”, “inclusiveness” and “unity” as justification in supporting Commissioner Byerly’s motion to box up the War Memorial and get rid of it as “surplus property”.  “It’s already been a hundred years…his time is up” said one individual, who demanded that the War memorial be moved in 60 days.  “The protesters didn’t sound ‘inclusive’ to me – they sound exclusive” said Save Southern Heritage – FL spokesman David McCallister.
The ‘take it downers’ were primarily young white UF students wearing black – many who were interviewed earlier and attesting to being anarchists that opposed any jurisdictional authority or rule of law.
The irony was not lost on Melanie Barr, who spoke on behalf of a black resident, Lizzie Jenkins, whose family survived the Rosewood massacre.  “She opposes moving the Memorial” said Barr.  Ms. Barr also wondered “if black residents of Alachua County are so upset, why aren’t they at the meeting calling for its removal”.

With Confederate flags gone, Civil War museum will close

A Henry County commissioner requested a few months ago that a local Civil War museum remove its Confederate flags.

But without that symbol, the Nash Farm Battlefield and Museum announced that it can’t conduct its mission properly and will close June 1.

In a Facebook post, the museum’s directors cited the request by District 2 Commissioner Dee Clemmons that all Confederate flags be removed from the museum, in addition to the gift shop, “in an effort not to offend anyone.”

“To exclude any Confederate flag would mean the historical value has been taken from our exhibits, and a fair interpretation could not be presented to each guest,” the post read. “Confederate flags were on this hallowed ground, as were the Union flags. To remove either of them would be a dishonor.”

Legalizing The United States Constitution in Arizona.

On Monday, Gov. Doug Ducey signed a bill into law that eliminates states capital gains taxes on gold and silver specie. The tax repeal will not only benefit Arizonans who invest in gold and silver, it will also facilitate their use as currency and undermine the Federal Reserve’s monopoly on money.

Rep. Mark Finchem (R-Tucson) sponsored HB2014. The legislation eliminates state capital gains taxes on income “derived from the exchange of one kind of legal tender for another kind of legal tender.” The bill defines legal tender as “a medium of exchange, including specie, that is authorized by the United States Constitution or Congress for the payment of debts, public charges, taxes and dues.” “Specie” means coins having precious metal content.

The acting spokesperson for the family of the late DNC staffer and suspected WikiLeaks source Seth Rich is a man named Brad Bauman who happens to be directly connected to Media Matters founder and George Soros-backed propagandist David Brock.

 

This recent discovery comes at a time when the interest in the Seth Rich case has reached a peak. Just earlier today, “independent investigators discovered that Bauman runs a foundation in his name,” Disobedient Media reports.

It is called the Bauman Foundation and on the Board of Directors sits David Brock, a self-loving, narcissistic, ego-maniac who has made a career of attacking people on both sides of the aisles, but since 1997 has aligned himself with the Clintons, Soros, and the ravenous, illiberal left. He is the founder of Media Matters for America, Correct the Record, and Shareblue. Brock is known for his use of “censorship” and “online harassment”

Wasserman Schultz Threatens Police Chief With ‘Consequences’ For Gathering Evidence Against Pakistani IT Staffers

Former Chairman of the DNC, Debbie Wasserman Schultz threatened the chief of the U.S. Capitol Police with ‘consequences’ for holding equipment that she says belongs to her in order to build a criminal case against a Pakistani IT staffer suspected of massive cybersecurity breaches, The Daily Caller reports.

TGP previously reported on the Pakistani brothers currently under investigation. From February of this year:

Three brothers who managed office IT for government officials were relieved of their duties last week on suspicion that they accessed specific computer networks without permission, also known as hacking.

Abid, Imran, and Jamal Awan were barred from computer networks at the House of Representatives Thursday.

They accessed computers unauthorized. They were getting foreign information. The three brothers were making $161,000, $165,000, and $160,000.
One of the brothers has a criminal background.

TGP also reported earlier this week that Congressional aides fear politicians are being blackmailed by the Pakistani IT suspects in security breach.

Byron York: On collusion, John Brennan's incomplete story

Former CIA Director John Brennan's appearance before the House Intelligence Committee on Tuesday rekindled the hopes of Democrats and others searching for proof that Donald Trump or his associates colluded with Russia to interfere with the 2016 election. But Brennan gave the committee old information — he frankly admitted it was old — that did not take into account what has been learned in recent months from other sources.

In short, this is what Brennan said: In the summer of 2016, I saw contacts between Russians and people in the Trump circle. I worried that the Russians were trying to use the Trump people for their own purposes. I gave the information to the FBI. But I have no idea what the FBI did with the information.

Brennan publicly provided the rationale for beginning the FBI counter-intelligence investigation that former FBI Director James Comey has said began in July 2016.

Send the Paris climate deal to die in the Senate

President Trump will attend the G7 Summit in Italy on Friday. This meeting of foreign leaders reportedly will pressure Trump to reverse his decision to withdraw the United States from the Paris Climate Agreement, as Trump repeatedly promised American voters he would do, recently comparing it to the Iran deal.

For Trump, staying in the Paris Climate Agreement presents two big problems. First, this would break a promise to millions of voters who want Trump to stop former President Barack Obama's march toward energy poverty and a weaker economy.

Second, it would concede to a global pressure campaign to make U.S. energy policies increasingly unaccountable to Americans and beholden to the demands of foreign bureaucrats. Staying in the Paris agreement is also irreconcilable with Trump's energy agenda, which includes rolling back the Environmental Protection Agency's harmful Clean Power Plan.

Media Matters Targets Sean Hannity’s Advertisers In Attempt To Stop Seth Rich Investigation

It has been revealed by Kim Dotcom that Seth Rich was the actor behind the DNC leaks, that after he was murdered the D.C. police never requested surveillance footage or bothered fully investigating the case, that top aids and Hillary  Clinton fear a full investigation into Rich’s murder, and that former DNC chairwoman Donna Brazile attempted to stop the private investigator handling the murder. Seth Rich’s family has demanded that the police release details, that they are refusing to comply with.

Now, we have a full-scale media cover-up in the works complete with progressive propaganda outlets like George Soros’ funded Media Matters attempting to target the advertisers of any media figure that dares to look into Rich’s murder.

London Police Investigating Tweet Exhorting Men to Stand Up to the Government’s Forced Immigration Policy

In the aftermath of the Manchester suicide bombing, London police have opened an investigation into a Tweet from a journalist with the Daily Mail who exhorted Western men to stand up against immigration of people who are hostile to European culture. The implication of this response is that opposition to government policy is something that should be investigated, especially if it includes an appeal to ‘manhood’. –GEG

Metropolitan Police are investigating Twitter users who spoke out against the Manchester attack.

Police have already opened one investigating into Mail Online columnist Katie Hopkins after she said Western men need to “demand action” in response to the terrorist nail bomb attack which targeted children leaving an Ariana Grande concert.
